Just out of curiosity, have any of the guys (chucky slappy etc) or tiff or their kids ever dyed their hair?
Oh anon you made me very happy with this ask!!!! THANK YOU!!!
And yes!!! All of them EXCEPT Jig and Chelsea!
Slappy fun fact is a natural red head!! But he hates his natural hair color. He just doesn’t think it suits him. So he dyes it brown! But he’s gotten lazy so you can occasionally see his red streaks! And this other time he dyed it pink…don’t ask…(it was a dare)
Chucky has dyed his hair twice. Once he willing did. It was brown just to see…since we’ll he’s a natural brunette! And the other time blue….he got called Smurf boy for a bit…(he lost a bet to Slap)
Billy let the kids dye his hair because he’s that type of uncle! They all agreed on green streaks, and it actually looked pretty cool! He’s honestly down for whatever color they want to put in his hair!
Tiff, of course!!! She’s a natural brunette! So she’s gotta dye her hair to keep it that blonde color we all know!!!
As for the twins. Glen did purple streaks! It looked good actually but it was a short lived thing….didn’t last.. As for Glenda, they went with pink streaks! And she loved them!!! But it was also short lived!

"FlashFire Recovery Fic"??? DETAILS NOW ⚡🔥
Ok this one is exactly what it says on the tin. The basic idea is that Flash meets Johnny Storm at an alcoholics recovery program. (you cannot tell me that Johnny doesn't have a problem, he 100% does) I'm heavily debating setting this during the era where Reed, Sue and the kids were "dead". But I could set it pretty much anywhere in Johnny's timeline because he's a mess at nearly every point. Same with Flash, they're both messes. They meet, and then hit it off, and then help each other manage their shit. I just... really think Johnny and Flash have stuff in common, stuff that isn't just Peter. Speaking of Peter, I def find this pair just a little amusing based on the fact that it would drive Peter nuts.
-- Everyone moved to leave, they grabbed last minute cookies, and a final swig of cheap punch. It was the first day and the connections of budding friendships hadn't set in yet. Nothing had set in yet. So nobody felt compelled to stay and chat. They just vacated the room, then the building.
Flash dropped a few cookies onto a napkin in his lap and rolled after one man in particular. Once outside in the brisk night air he called out, "You really think a bad dye job and some sunglasses would fool me?"
"Jason" turned around a forced a pained smile. "Ah, we've met before, right?"
"Just once, just in space, I'll admit, I look a lot different too Johnny."
"The jig is up then?" He said and in a puff of flame, his hair went from jet black to light blond. "Think anyone else caught on?"
"Nah, I think everyone was too busy thinking of themselves." An awkward silence hung heavy in the air. "So, problems, huh?"
The silence got heavier. "Yeah."
"I guess even heroes have issues."
"Most heroes have issues. If one tells you they don't, they're lying," Johnny said quickly. "Unless you're Reed, or Sis, they never-" He cut himself off because he was lying. The taste on his tongue bitter. "That's not true, they had problems too. I guess they don't now. I can only hope the afterlife doesn't have problems."
The silence filled the space between them once more.
Johnny finally cleared his throat and said, "So your goo alien left you?"
"That's one way to put it."
"Break ups are hard, I get it."
"We didn't "break up" he was stolen from me. And I... I was too late to find him. When I did, well, he didn't seem to want me anymore. Didn't seem to need me."
"In the circle you said you didn't think anyone needs you, and that's why you drink."
"The bottle is my own worst best friend. Even worse than Peter."
"Parker?"
Flash's eyebrow raised high. "Hell of a guess."
"First last name that popped into my head."

@ambercast
running through the commune like a bat out of hell, blu moved through the space dodging people and objects alike in search of his cousin. it was pretty wild that he'd end up at the same commune as a long lost family member – but honestly, blu was here for it. they'd grown up apart, years between them and on opposing sides of the states; it really was a shame that it took them being trapped in the same city for them to meet. but hey, maybe huntsville called in the universe to make their meeting possible.
nearly bypassing the room lucy was in, blu quickly backtracked in order to greet the other, "hey cuz! what's shakin' bacon?" doing an excitable little jig as he asks the question, following it up with an easy laugh he took his time taking a few steps into the room, "so i was thinking we could go outside! maybe bring out my tie dye kit, or my art supplies... OR just hear me out here, it'd be totally rad to bring out the guitar and like... jam." nodding easily, fingers move into unruly curls in order to brush them from his face. "OOOOORRRRR we could go on a rad little walk. get outside. stretch our legs. maybe go fishing or like.... swim out to that little floaty thing in the waters and have a bonding little cuz time – you know, if those things weren't lingering around i'd even say it'd be totally rad to camp out there under the stars but uh... y'know – not ready to have death knockin' at my door anytime soon."

BLADE FORGE
Collecting folding knives is just a passion. Deciding on what kinds of knives to get can be quite a daunting question. Collecting BLADE FORGE with natural material handles is a great beginning due to wide variety of choice, availability, cost, and functionality.
Selection of Natural Materials
The primary natural materials for knife handles are Stag, Bone, Horn, Wood, Burl, and to a much lesser extent but generally well-known seashell materials; Mother of Pearl and Abalone.
Stag, sometimes called India Stag originates from the shed antlers of the Sambar or Chital deer. Stag also originates from domestic sources; White Tail Deer, Elk, and Moose which can be likely continue in light of the rising costs of India Stag. Stag could be finished with a higher buffing process or may be dyed with stunning effects.
Bone comes most commonly from the shin bone of cows. Bone stands up well under regular use, dyes easily in a myriad of colors and frequently comes jigged. Jigging is a device process which gorges out pieces of the bone in numerous but often distinctive patterns. Undoubtedly, bone is the most used of the commonly used natural materials.
Natural horn is just a very rugged and distinctive material. Natural horn originates from Impala and domestically from Buffalo and Rams. It has a rather rustic appearance and will after many years of service begin to crack.
Wooden handles come from numerous hardwoods. Maple, Birch, Cocobolo and numerous others have successfully created handles which can resist years of hard use. Burls that aren't a certain type of wood but are made from abnormal tree growth are very tough and can be found in unlimited natural designs. Burls are prized because of their natural beauty, above and beyond any particular wood.
Mother of Pearl and Abalone are natural seashell materials. Mother of Pearl originates from mollusks. It's usual white in color with iridescent hues of purple, green, pink and yellow. Abalone originates from sea snail shells and offers an iridescent selection of color from pink to blue, to green and silver. Both materials are pricy and will not tolerate rough use. They tend to crack and shatter if dropped on a difficult surface. Still, they are beautiful to check out and make excellent display pieces.
Availability and Cost
Stag, Bone and Wood Handles have existed for centuries in abundance. They're still the most used of materials utilized in the creation of BLADE FORGE and fixed blade knives. For the beginning collector, this is good news as many can be purchased for under $30 in auctions like E-Bay and a discerning eye will help you will find some real bargains; costs far less than their values. If new knives are your passion be prepared to spend from $50 to $300 for a few of the treasures available.
Collectability and Functionality
With so many selections, you don't need to be wealthy to attain a folding knife collection that you will enjoy having and showing to others. Make an effort to consider favorite folding knives , to examine your knife personal choices and take part in collection with a budget in mind. With time, you can amass a lot of good knives. Display them, store them and treat them properly and they'll easily work for years. Think about it. What other type of collection can fit your budget, not clutter up your house and boast not only beauty but in addition practical functionality? Enjoy your passion and happy hunting!

Head: Reading Glasses Chest: Skallic Coat of Fending (Midnight Blue) Hands: Swallowskin Gloves of Fending (Midnight Blue) Legs: Adamantite Chain Hose of Fending (Slate Gray) Feet: Exarchic Sabatons of Fending (Millioncorn Yellow Dye) Sword: Honorbound Recollection Shield: Tenacity Recollection This is a slight rework of the first glam I was kind of proud of. Originally it had the Exarchic gloves as well - but I was never happy with how poorly the metal textures meshed. The Swallowskin gloves seem to work a lot better with it. [just an old guy rambling, feel free to skip]
Jigs was my first tank, and Paladin was my first tanking class, not just in FFXIV, but any mmo I played. Over the past couple years I've gotten pretty good at it. Using Cover effectively, as well as Shirk and Intervene+Rampart. I help overwhelmed or new healers a couple times a week for anything where I have Clemency available. I've come to believe while there may be more effective endgame tanks - nothing is better when a roulette goes sideways than a good paladin. Short of rezzing, we can do anything, and do it pretty well.

Jigger Dyeing Machine: Objectives, Dyeing Process, Advantages and Disadvantages
Jigger Dyeing Machine: Objectives, Dyeing Process, Advantages and Disadvantages #dyeing #dyeingmachine #jigger #jiggerdyeingmachine
Jigger Dyeing Machine: Jigg or jigger dyeing machine is one of the oldest dyeing machine used for cloth dyeing operations. Dyes use for dyeing fabric in Jig or Jigger dyeing machine which is suitable for woven fabric than knitted fabric because jigger exert considerable lengthwise tension on the fabric. Small Group Recap 10/18
I met with my small group today: myself, Sarah, and Mary! We went around and explained our projects to each other and gave feedback or suggestions that we determined to be helpful to each other.
First we discussed Sarah's design, she had a very fancy sketch of her idea and it was really cool. Upon first glance, it looked like an abstract design of the human heart so I was intrigued, but then she explained her sketch (very detailed by the way with great notes and ideas). Her idea is much better than the human heart to be honest, it incorporated a multitude of fabrics that she would shibori and assemble in an almost three dimensional way, so that there is something different to look at from all angles. She also explained that it was her plan to embellish it with something sparkly!
Next, we talked about my design. Last week I draft a triangle shaped flag with a Mario theme and it included: a character from Mario, a koopa troopa (those menacing turtles that look cute and do a little jig, but will kill your character), many bricks for the character to jump on, and my favorite the background foliage that makes no sense but is acceptable since it is designed in a video game. The thing is, I came to class today and I looked at it and I hated it. It was ugly to say the least. I then noticed that I already had written a note about how I did not like it last week. So basically after 5 days I still did not like it. I then, upon Bailey's suggestion (she is not in my group, but I appreciate talking to others), I thought it would be a fun idea to take the little tiny bits and ends that I dye and embroider and incorporate them into the work somehow, maybe like a sort of quilt. This might prove to be better since, and I discussed this with my group, I have a great time making small little things and put a lot of time and effort into them, but when the design or fabric becomes larger it is much more intimidating and I will procrastinate it due to overwhelming feelings and then not work to the best of my abilities resulting in a questionable result. So with this, I can still enjoy a fun happy time with my small works (I will consider getting a little bigger though because I cannot live in fear like this) and then patch them together in a fun and exciting way that is able to capture my essence. We discussed that I might use the ridiculous background foliage from the Mario video game in my work to add to the essence.
Finally, we discussed Mary's project. It is a great idea, I love it!! I like that she is truly leaning into both the science and design aspects of her personality. On the surface, the carbon rings are truly great patterns that come together to create a whole molecule, with out the specific individual carbon bonds, the molecule would be something completely different. She is making the compound her own, by artistically drafting the carbon rings, chiral centers, and chlorine molecules into a composition that incorporates design so that it is also pleasing to look at. I believe that she is still taking into consideration the presentation of the piece. We talked about her color palette for the carbon structures and I feel like for the specifics of what she is doing it fits really well.
I am overall very excited to see the results of everyone's projects!

random joan headcanons
joan colors her nails with black sharpie
joan (sometimes) still counts with her fingers
FRECKLES <3
she sings in the shower (she has the voice of an angel but it has an edge to it)
joan reads twilight
she has blue eyes
joan works at the grassy knoll (during the summer) and she gossips with marie antoinette in french
she doesnt like to dance but if her friends insist her enough she’ll do a little jig but she super bad at it
she taught herself to do her makeup (cool but simple eyeliner)
SHE ALWAYS HAS GUM IN HER BAG
black coffe drinker
theres a specific booth seat joan absolutely NEEDS to sit in, it’s in the corner its nice and soft and it has all the condomets you could possibly require. marie antoinette holds the seat for her so no one else can take it.
she curses at people in french
“What’s the skinny?” “What’s your damage?” “Joan, what are you taking about?”
Joan cut her own hair (with safety scissors. it looks like it, very choppy and messy) dyed it (she still has some dark brown roots) and pierced her own ears (needle and an ice cube)
joan genuinely cared about living up to the original joan of arc. she cared enough to beg toot’s to drive her to the public library to immerse herself in ten books about the martyr. but as joan got older, she lost determination to live up to the exceptions laid out for her. joan grew out of the whole goody-two-shoes pink dresses and pigtails phase and into impulsively chopping off her long hair and dyeing it once dark brown into pinkish red. joan was walking down the halls, abe and gandhi were stunned to find their once lively and cutesy friend adjusting to a dark and moody persona almost overnight.

BOO! Spooked yah, right? Don't worry, these ghosts aren't real, just miniatures. :P
I mentioned in a previous post that I found I could dye clear resin prints colours with alchohol inks, and these ghosts are actually what I figured that out on!
I did these quite a while back, but then I left them for a few weeks until I made some bases, and then I left them sitting in my light box for a couple more weeks before actually taking these photos, because for some reason I really just didn't want to. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
the transparent ghostly effect is cool, but I also really like the bases I did for them too. This was me trying out adding little extra bits to them, going for a bit of a haunted manor theme. I'm pretty happy with it on the whole, although I think the beer mug and the pot are just a bit too big and attention grabbing. I really want the focus to be on the mini, with the base elements blending in more. I am quite happy with how the kitchen tile bases came out too. I started out trying to freehand sculpt them out of greenstuff, then when I figured out that I am not by any means a compenent enough sculptor to make that work, I quickly designed and printed a little tile impression jig to make clean, straight tiles for me. I made and printed it fast enough that I didn't waste my greenstuff, so thats pretty cool I think.
On the whole, I'm happy to have these translucent spooky ghosts in my collection.
Miniatures in this post are made by:
Townfolks ghost male and Townfolks ghost female by Titan Forge Miniatures.
Ghost by Great Grimoire.
Base in this post are made by:
Gothic Tombstones by Medusa Miniatures.
Table Scatter, Extra Dining Items, Books, Piles & Rows by Darkest Desire.
Candle Holders by Pellinor.

New Year
Omg I wrote fluff. Who even am I.
Rating: T
Words: 2323
Summary: Link and Zelda go to a new year's festival in Link's hometown.
New Year
"Come on, Link! You need to join the archery competition!" Zelda stage-whispered into Link's ear. "I'm sure they'll let you join."
She had her face turned away from Link and was looking directly at the innkeeper, Pagho, who was taking down names for various competitions for the new year.
"We agreed that it was unfair for me to join any combat competitions," Link said shortly.
"We agreed that it was unfair for you to join swordplay competitions," Zelda clarified, "Besides, archery is more of a hunting competition. Come on. You've been a stick in the mud all day long. This is the last competition before the sun goes down."
Zelda's loud whispers and unblinking stare had caught the attention of Stad and Okil. Both men were stringing bows and listening unashamedly. They ambled over with a faux-casual air.
"So, Link," Stad said, "Are you going to join us or not. I know you pulled the Sword, but surely that doesn't make you a better shot."
"Or are you worried about your soldier training?" Okil asked, "I know you were stationed as an archer at Fort Hateno before you got all high and mighty. Maybe we should make this more of a challenge for our resident knight."
Link just gave the two a sour look. Zelda beamed at the backup and rushed over to Pagho to sign him up while he wasn't paying attention.
"You'll want to show off a little," Okil continued in a low voice, "You would hate to have your lady friend's head turned by another man. She's the most beautiful woman ever to visit this village. Every man here is waiting for you to mess up."
Link's frown got deeper.
"Including us," Stad said, "If that's what Castle Town women look like, then I think I'll have to find my way to the capitol as well."
"You're free to go to Castle Town. Hylia is out of your league." Link said.
"I don't see how you have time to meet women while guarding the Princess all day," Stad retorted. "I could find a beautiful woman too!"
Zelda picked that moment to march back to the three men.
"You're all signed up!" She exclaimed, "I worked it all out with Mister Pagho. You'll have an appropriately difficult challenge for your skill level."
She waved her hand in the air to brush off Link's grunted disagreement.
"It's too late to complain now; he's already written your name on the board."
Link just huffed a little and glared once more at the group at large before turning to the small weapon rack full of hunting bows. He chose a bow but left his soldier's issue weapon strapped to his back. He wasn't going to use his advantages in the competition, but he also wasn't going to disarm even partially. Zelda was still the Princess even in disguise, and he was the only guard in attendance at his hometown festival.
While Link turned his back, Zelda winked conspiratorially at Okil and Stad. She shooed the two off towards Pagho with a wave.
"I think you'll do well!" Zelda said to Link, "It will be good practice for the Farore's Day tourny in a few weeks. I know you've signed up for those competitions."
"The Farore's Day tournament is an exposition of skill among Hyrule's soldiers and knights. I will be competing against my peers." He tested the weight of the bow he selected.
"Archery competitors, listen up!" Pagho shouted over the crowd's chatter. "Find your ladies and get a good luck kiss before you line up!"
The crowd laughed and started jeering at the suddenly nervous group of men. A few wives and sweethearts came up for a little kiss, and one man swept his wife into a dip and gave her a lingering kiss to a great cheer from the crowd. Zelda was shoved forward by Pagho. She stumbled and tripped into the group. Link recovered from surprise fast enough to catch her. He helped her back to her feet with red cheeks.
"Ignore them," he whispered in her ear.
Zelda smiled good-naturedly and gave him a sweet kiss on the cheek. "Good luck, Hero."
She had a bit of mischief in her voice. When Link turned, deeply crimson, to the targets, he realized why.
There was a line of nine round archery targets about thirty yards away. They were good targets for men used to hunting in the forest. On one end, there was a tenth that was covered partially by fabric. Nails pinned the fabric carefully around the edges, leaving a much smaller and much narrower target in the shape of the master sword. Pagho had also placed the mark a good twenty feet further back. Not as far as the typical tournament distance, but easily far enough to provide a challenge when combined with the odd and very narrow shape.
Zelda met Link's look of reproach with an innocent smile.
Link took his place at the sword target in line with the other men and pulled an arrow from the cluster at his feet. Pagho gave the signal for the first shot. Link scuffed the ground with his back foot before settling into his stance. He stood upright and pulled the string back gently. He kept his breathing even and slow while he lined up the shot. He let the arrow fly and watched it shoot in a graceful arc to the Sword. It hit the target just to the right of dead center. The narrow shape meant that the arrow was closer to the mark's edge than the exact center. Link frowned.
Pagho called for the second arrow. Link scuffed the ground again and resettled his stance. He pulled back the arrow and let it fly when he exhaled. It sored to the target and embedded itself into the exact center of the Sword bullseye. Link gave the shot a short nod of approval before picking up his final arrow. The last two arrows didn't have the speed that this arrow did, and it clipped the edge of his second arrow before digging its way deep into the straw.
Link rolled his shoulders back and glanced down the line at his competition. Stad was a terrible shot. His target only had two arrows in it. Okil's was much better with all three arrows sticking out and two near the bullseye. Several of the remaining competitors shot at least one bullseye, and a stocky man at the opposite end got all three clustered in a tight group just north of his bullseye.
"It looks like our clear winner is our local knight and the Hero of Hyrule!" Pagho shouted to the crowd. He yanked Link forward and dropped an antler crown on his head. The rough headpiece was little more than two antlers lashed together with leather; it matched the winners of the other six competitions of the day. Link slouched his way into the lineup of winners to the cheers of the townspeople. They all stood around, clapping each other on the shoulders, peacocking for the crowd, and arguing good-naturedly.
"Let's give our winners a cheer!" Pagho shouted, and the crowd roared in approval. "And let's get this party going!"
The band took Pagho's words as their cue to start playing a rousing jig, and young women of the town pulled the seven men to the makeshift dancefloor next to the cookpots. A pretty redhead pulled Link along behind her and convinced him to swing her around in a familiar country dance. Link could see Zelda following the blacksmith to the floor as well and tripping over the novel peasant steps. She was elegant and sophisticated compared to the villagers. The dark umber of the hair dye they had used for her disguise gave her a dim glow instead of the bright shining light that usually surrounded her. She was still the most beautiful thing Link had ever seen.
Link danced with what felt like every woman in the town. In between dances, his partners offered him food and drinks. He slowly became more relaxed and began to enjoy the party. His head was getting a little fuzzy, and his body warm from all of the drinks while Zelda charmed her way through each unfamiliar dance.
"Your lady friend is charming." Pagho poured two drinks and handed one to Link. "You ought to dance with her. She keeps looking at you. She's going to give up on you soon if you don't go for it."
"She's not my lady friend. She's just an acquaintance from Castle Town. We're just friends."
"Maybe you're just friends, but that girl is sweet on you." Pagho was talking far too loudly. "She's been singing your praises all day to anyone who will listen."
Link did his best to keep his face from turning red again. "She's just kind. Excuse me."
Link downed his drink and walked away from the conversation as quickly as possible. He went over to where Zelda was chatting with Stad to ask her to dance. Not because Pagho told him to. He was just in the mood for another dance, and he wanted to be a good host.
But, Stad took her hand before he got to her and pulled her onto the dance floor. Link found another drink and sipped it while he waited his turn. Then Zelda switched partners to another man. Then another, then Okil, then that first blacksmith again.
"Looks like you missed your chance." Pagho swung past him with his wife. "Better hurry. There's only one more dance before midnight."
Link was pretty tipsy at this point.
He sat down on a bench and tried to come to terms with the fact that he was jealous of the blacksmith. He did want to dance with Zelda. More than that, he wanted Zelda to want to dance with him. But, she was more interested in literally any other man at this festival. They had barely even spoken after the dancing started.
He was wallowing in self-pity when the object of his thoughts plopped down next to him. The energetic dancing had left a pleasant flush on Zelda's face, and her skin had a light sheen of sweat. Link tried not to imagine her looking like this in his house without prying eyes.
"Would you like to dance?" She asked.
"Yes," he said much too quickly. Then his brain caught up, and he flushed to the tips of his ears. "I mean... yes..."
Zelda took his hand and led him to the dance floor. The musicians took up a slow ballad to end the old year. It was a sweet song that was far too intimate for a dance with a Princess. Link tried to think of Zelda as Hylia, a ladies maid from Castle Town, rather than his future sovereign. She placed his hand on her waist and took up his free hand in hers. Link tried to pull himself together and started the steps to a court dance she would know.
She beamed at him. "I didn't know you could do my court dances! I would have been dancing with you all night instead of making a fool of myself trying to learn new ones."
Link's heart skipped a beat.
"You seemed to be having fun. "
"Yes, I've had a good time. Thank you for letting me stay. I know I shouldn't have just shown up on your time off." Zelda looked down at her feet even though Link knew she had all of the steps by heart.
"I'm always happy to have you around, Zel. You're my friend, and I love spending time with you."
Now it was Zelda that couldn't keep the red from her face. She tried to turn her head to keep him from seeing, but Link took the motion as an invitation to pull her a little closer.
"I love spending time with you too. Getting to know you has been an adventure," Zelda's voice was a little muffled by his tunic. He wished she would look up so he could see her expression. "I hope that it's an adventure that keeps going."
"I don't have any more secrets, Princess. You know more about me than I do."
"Well, you'll have to work to surprise me, then," Zelda said with a smile in her voice. The song was coming to a close, so she began to pull away from him. He wouldn't let her go. They stopped with the music, and she finally turned her face up to his again.
He steeled himself. She looked content and expectant and nervous. He was nervous too, and if he hadn't had three more drinks than necessary, he probably wouldn't even be thinking about what he was about to do. He would almost certainly regret it in the morning when he considered his career trajectory and the effect on their friendship and his plans for not dying of a beheading.
Their lips touched.
Zelda sighed into the kiss, and Link could feel her hands slowly run down from his shoulder to grasp at the front of his tunic. He leaned back and took a ragged breath before capturing her lips again. His hands pressed against her back to keep her body against his own as tightly as possible. Each point of contact was a new shock of electricity to his system. Link thought that the moment couldn't get any better until she let out a small whimper. The sound made him forget everything around them. Her title was gone, their circumstances are gone, the village was gone.
She pulled away.
"Take me back to your house," He couldn't deny her anything when she spoke with that breathy voice full of need.
Link dove in for one last kiss before leading her by the hand through the crowd. They slipped away from the party quickly before running, laughing, up the hill to his house.

Book of Blood from FE Heroes
Tumblr media
I asked my friends what their favorite tome(s) from Fire Emblem was. One of them shared one of my favorites, the Fallen!Lyon’s tome, Book of Blood. I couldn’t find any credible pictures except for the FEH portrait, so I had to draw the big cover design as best I could in an art program. This is my first leather book I completed from scratch. There’s room for improvement, of course, but I’m overall excited about the finished piece.
