You let yourself fall face down on the sofa with a loud sigh. The last few days had been nothing short of exhausting. Your back and neck still hurt, and the concussion had caused some nightmarish migraines that had left you unable to work. So, you spent your days in your dark living room, accompanied by your two cats, Freya and Kiro. Freya, a chubby lady with a moustache who you had had to put on a diet, was sitting on the back of your sofa, silently judging you. Kiro, your long-haired void of a cat, sat next to you, purring in your ear.
When you had come home from the hospital almost a week ago, they had greeted you with loud, screaming meows as if they had been starving. Your dad had been looking after them, cuddling them and feeding them generously. You also knew that he had given each of them a little treat every time before he left. So much for starving. Total drama queens - Both of them. But that's just Freya and Kiro, you wouldn't trade them for any other cats in the world.
Today had been your first day back at work and you wished you hadn’t gone. Your migraines had stopped the day before, but your body was still killing you. Groaning, you pushed yourself up to sit properly on your sofa, your legs sprawled out on its long chaise longue. You took a blanket from the basket beside it and pulled it neatly over your legs. Kiro immediately took this as an invitation to plop down between your legs. You were about to open one of your newly ordered books when your phone buzzed. A new message.
Huffing annoyedly, you picked up your phone from where it lay beside you to check who had the audacity to disturb your precious reading time.
It was Joe. Forgotten were your pain and shitty mood.
He hadn't texted you in days and, not wanting to appear desperate, you hadn't texted him either. That's just the way you were, constantly thinking that you were annoying people with your presence.
Pushing the negative thoughts to the back of your mind and grinning to yourself, you quickly unlocked your phone and read his message.

“Ouch, don’t yell at m- WAIT! You?! Have a date?!”, she sputtered.
"Yes!”, you replied in a breezy voice.
"With who?"
"Joe.", you replied so quietly that she almost didn't hear it, but her gasp gave her away.
"Joe. As in 'your knight in a beige cable-knit jumper'-Joe?"
"Yes!”, you squeaked out, earning a glare from both your cats.
"Holy shit, babes! This is like one of those romance films we sometimes watch on film night.”, she gushed, clearly very excited for you.
"Ugh, yeah. I know.”, you groaned. "I need your help. I don't have anything to wear!"
"Lies! Your wardrobe is bursting at the seams."
Which was true, but she didn't have to expose you like that.
"I know. Can you help me put together an outfit? I will repay you fabulously!"
"Ahhh... just deduct it from the mountain of drinks-debt I owe you. I'll be there in 20 minutes!"
"Wait! The date's not even se-", you started, but she had already hung up. Typical her.
18 minutes later your doorbell rang and there she stood in all her 'hair in a messy bun, oversized jumper, leggings with a questionable stain and the oldest trainers she could find' glory. Her face was sporting a huge grin.
"You look absolutely insane." you pointed out as soon as you opened the door, chuckling. She snorted and pushed past you, heading for your room. You quickly followed, knowing full well that without you, she'd start pulling out pieces of clothing from your closet and throwing them on your bed.

She had been rummaging through your wardrobe for almost two hours now and had mentioned that you had 'too many things' at least 20 times, accompanied by an eyeroll, whilst you made yourself comfortable on your bed. Your cats had decided to join you for a while, but the mess she was making was too much for them and they went back to the living room.
She was standing on one of the shelves in the closet, trying to get to the top shelf. It was the most hilarious thing you had ever seen, you had to snap a picture. Without thinking, you sent it to Joe.
Who’s that?
My best friend. She’s a madwoman.
I can see that, and I see how she’s your bestie. You both like to put yourselves in dangerous situations. I bet she’s pulled a Humpty Dumpty before as well.
You snorted at his text, earning a raised eyebrow from your friend who was still standing in your wardrobe. When she saw you were on your phone, she gasped and jumped out of the wardrobe. She quickly made her way over to you.
"Who are you texting?", she demanded, her eyes narrowing.
"Nobody."
"Bullshit.”, she claimed, holding out her hand to you. "Give me the phone."
"No.”, you giggled, trying to crawl away from her, but to no avail. She was very quick and snatched the phone out of your fingers. Her eyes went wide.
"BITCH! Stop sending pictures of me to your boyfriend!"
"He's not my boyfriend!", you argued, snorting and laughing at the face she was making.
"He better be after your date...", she muttered, tossing your phone back at you, which you almost caught with your face. "I've got your outfit."
With a huge grin, she walked back over to your wardrobe and picked up a few stray clothes. Then she laid them out orderly on your bed. It was perfect. Totally you. Totally the opposite of Joe. You'd stick out like a sore thumb.
“Thanks babe.”, you smiled, pushing yourself off the bed and engulfing her in a tight hug.
"Anytime, love.”, she grinned into your hair and returned your hug with an even tighter one.
"Coffee and biscuits?", you asked her as you pulled away and her face lit up all over again. She didn't even answer your question but ran off to the kitchen.
"You better have chocolate chip cookies!", you heard her yell, knowing she'd already opened your cupboard where you stored your sweets. When you heard her excited squeak, you knew she had found them. Shaking your head at her antics, you made your way to the kitchen to join her. You wouldn't trade her for anything in the world, either.

When your best friend left, it was already dark outside. You opted for a light dinner which consisted of a piece of sourdough bread, half a tomato, a handful of shredded cheddar cheese and three green olives. Everything was neatly arranged on the plate. Girl Dinner was served.
Walking over to the sofa to read for the second time that evening, you placed your plate on the small table in front of it, sat down and draped a blanket over yourself. Picking up the plate, you leaned back against the headrest and popped an olive into your mouth. Freya and Kiro soon joined you and tried to beg you for some of the sourdough. Kiro was particularly persistent, but so were you. When they finally realised you weren't going to give in, Kiro trotted off to sulk under one of your chairs and Freya retreated to her place on the headrest.
You were just about to open your book when your phone again alerted you to a new message. Thinking it was your best friend letting you know she had gotten home, you leaned forward to grab your phone. But it wasn't your best friend. Joe had texted you again.
Did you have dinner?
Uh... yeah. Why?

What are you doing?
I wanted to read, but a certain someone keeps interrupting.

Current CN Situation
I believe that some of you have caught wind of the current situation in CN server, I received some asks about this too. So I will just give brief summary on this matter.
Usually one SSR card cost around 8k gems to 12k gems for chapter update. But for the current chapter update, the first 72 pull, player has a chance (50% rate) to pull the chapter update card, or get non chapter update SSR/SP. You will definitely get one chapter update SSR on the 144th pull. It works kinda like Wish Tree, but they just mask the game play of chapter update as new gameplay. Which is to say, one chapter update SSR now cost at least 22.6k, per SSR card. That's a whooping double charge up from what they have been charging previously. So players definitely opposed to it, and all united to stop whaling for this event.
They even blocked one whale player, and the explanation given was very vague. It seems more of push blame from one party to another.
Today, CN released the upcoming events for April, which once again pissed players. They are as below: [A] 4 April ZhouQiLuo/Kiro birthday event (estimated 1.8k gems to 10k gems, given if you want to get previous years card, ASMR or not), [B] Early April LiZeYan/Victor SSR Wish Tree (estimated 144 pull or 12k gems), [C] Mid April Revival of previous event SSR and top up SR cards (estimated 10k gems), [D] Late April BaiQi/Gavin SSR Wish Tree (estimated 144 pull or 12k gems) and [E] End of April a brand new Wish Tree featuring 4 Male Characters (estimated 144 pull to 576 pull, if you don't get any event SSR and require 144 per SSR redemption).
Players are disappointed that they are milking money from players for the entire month, and many believe so that this will continue to be the same for future events. So it's a mass calling/waking up for players to stop whaling in this game for now. Or at least until they decided to rectify all the mistakes (which majority think that it's impossible to).

I will continue to update on CN Events for the time being. Perhaps one day, when I really had enough of them, I will call it quit for real. Cos I'm spending more on R18 Light and Night by TC and Life Makeover. And the upcoming KR R18 game. Till then girls~

End of GK thoughts
I feel like I’m going back to the mindset I first had when I was reading GK and writing meta and going more with my gut.
So, what did I think of the end of GK?
It was disappointing to say the least.
Okay, I said it - moving on to other things . . . or you can read more reasons why it was disappointing to me.
What got me to lose interest as a reader (besides all sorts of IRL stuff) was that the last story arc was sloppy. It had a vibe of it being far to rushed with too many loose threads and plot points that never got resolved.
First off - the endings for the characters.
1.) Sugimoto and Asirpa return to Hokkaido - this was the one ending that I absolutely did not want to have happen. This is further emphasized that indeed, Umeko never needed Sugimoto’s help which makes his entire premise - just dumb. She took care of herself buddy and you ran away from things, just like you ran away from your burnt down house. The MC’s entire rationale for the entire story was - utterly pointless. To think that @goldenkamuyhunting and I wrote lots of metas about how Sugimoto was making a huge assumption that he needed to do this and never spoke to her in the flashback. . . .
2.) Many character deaths fell short or felt meaningless (and not in the futility of life sort of way). Ushiyama, Hijikata, Ogata, Sofia . . . they all just sort of pathetically happened with very OOC moments for everyone except for Hijikata but it was still - meh.
3.) Shiraishi using the gold he got to live out Boutarou’s dream - which seems OOC for him as well seeing that he was good friends Kiro and understood what he was fighting for. To instead side with a Japanese convict’s more selfish dream was just weird. Dude, Shiraishi was the one who really took the time to mourn Kiro’s death and thought of him in his youth on the river in a canoe . . . he was your friend man and you had a better understanding of his rationale than Sugimoto ever did.
4.) Tanigaki returns to his home in Akita with Inkarmat and they have lots of kids. What about his debt to Huci? We never saw that resolved, instead he lives happily ever after with a family that is even more marginalized due to the Matagi-Ainu combo?
5.) What happened to the tiger curse? Not only with Tanigaki but Koito and Tsukishima. Instead, Koito goes on to get that leadership position he wanted with Tsukishima in the 7th until is will be dissolved due to the end of WWII.
6.) Anyone who had a strong political/social justice opinion died - specifically non-Japanese charas. I’m looking at Kiro - the native who died fighting the system while Asirpa and Ariko take on the more integrated native way to survive. I’m sure they had a great time dealing with discrimination, poverty and all that stuff. Watch the Indie film Ainu Mosir to see what that looks like in present day Hokkaido. I’m also looking at Sofia who never got full potential as a character. Or even Wilk - who I’d still nominate as the worst father of the year for many years. He may have been misguided with his plans e.g. people don’t behave like he does but he was still working for something for the native peoples. I continue to waffle back and forth if this is a case of a Japanese creator not wanting to capture them well and thus doesn’t try or that he’s using the excuse of not being of those groups so he can’t depict them.
7.) The ending was all about Japanese people fighting over the future of Hokkaido with no input from those who live there. And that was what made this really disappointing for me. Asirpa lost most of her agency, deferring to follow whatever Sugimoto did. Ariko was absent having been heavily wounded previous in the plot. Kirawus was just there with Kadokura in the background.
8.) No one cared about Vasily - honestly, really - he was useless to the overall plot. Again, a foreigner who’s continued existence was just not doing much of anything. It would have been better if he died when Ogata shot him at the Japanese-Russian border.
Now that I got that off my chest, I can drop my second point in no particular order.
The last story arc was meandering, unfocused, and wasted potential. What I mean by this is that before the final arc, the manga had much tighter pacing and control. The plot moved forward in such a way that things tied in neatly and kept the readers guessing what would be important to remember and what might be foreshadowing. It really lost me at a time when it was hard to put in the effort.
I’m not sure what Noda and his editor were thinking - or not thinking, but it showed. I know we can get tired of things and it makes it hard to focus on them or give them the love they deserve. If Noda were having creative burnout - something that could totally have been worse due to the pandemic - than he should have gone on hiatus and restructure things. The elements of the story that I really enjoyed were lost in the last arc - the sociopolitical element and the nuanced approach to characters who became very disposable at the end.
As story like this needed to breathe at the end and it never got a chance to come up for air. It just got smothered in a murder/kill fest of violence souring things for me. I had entertained the thought of writing about how bummed out I was at Ogata’s ending, but I’ve realized it isn’t even worth it. Noda, if you wanted Ogata to die, you should have stuck to your original plan on the ice floe. Thanks.
The Karafuto arc had me hooked to read each new chapter. I loved it and how much it made me think about the historical and political context of things as a reader on something I knew very little of. The last arc could not follow that up. At. All.
What this means is that if GK ended in a more cohesive manner - I’d rate it one of the best manga series that I’ve read. However, it didn’t. So, I’ll have to bump it down to a better than average manga that was good until the last arc. Was this a terrible manga? No, I still see it as better than most with themes and ideas that really started to make you think. The problem is that it stopped doing that in the last arc and it shows. Do I hate Noda? Of course not. He still put lots of effort into making the manga good for a long time. I just expected him to do more and it didn’t work out that way. Would I recommend this - sure, but I would do so with the caveat that the last arc falls in quality.

There are just so many possibilities for this one, alot of characters of mine have the potential to make decent friends on their own, but when applying it to this scenario of plotting I’ll go ahead and give you the ships I think would work out the best (based on personality traits I know of your characters in order of most likely to sortta likely ➡)

Araebe(@little-araebe (a mermaid))/ Rickie / Amian ( divinity inclined noble soldier turned wayward paladin (@amian-delvrox))/ Esme @esme-erynn ) + Soira (Free spirits with good vibes often attract one another)
Elebreth Baelfy ( a hirable guard for nobility, a fellow rendorei) + Anne
💙 - kinship ( blood or symbolic familial bond ) ~
To me, symbolic familia is so much deeper than blood relative, because not all blood relatives get along but chosen family is more special. But I do have some Sindorei who could be blood related to any of yours (Maybe even Anne?) especially since I haven’t expanded on their family history for this very reason:
Blood -
Possibility 1: Galiera Baelfy (@galiera-baelfy) is the daughter of a well-to-do though humble family, and is currently in school so that once deemed worthy, she might join the courts and become a lawmaker. Shes anything but humble, and quite frankly can come off as rude and uptight.
Possibility 2: Verzatea Duskflame is the daughter to a noble house of published authors (with writings revolving around the Dark arts, which she perfected and utilizes in her current position as Confessor in the House of the Nine (@the-house-of-the-nine)).
Possibility 3: Elebereth Baelfy lost her mother, father and siblings to illness when she was already an adult, while she studied the ways of the courts with her cousin Galiera. Once she lost them, she lost anything worth living for and dived into combat training to hone her body as a tool for preserving the life of those worthy (she’ll not protect a corrupt being, no matter how much they pay her).
Possibility 4: Haela Balcyan. More on that later, but the gist is her family of monster hunters more or less fell off the face of the map when confirmed deaths of the household heads rolled around the newspaper. Haela specifically endured a frightful change of lifestyle which to this day marred the girl she was once.
Symbolic -
This is an open opportunity, for any number of characters.
- Susan adopts lost souls left and right
- Rickie considers all of her friends people she trusts and would lay her life down for
-Lysandra Vanburen ( @lysandra-vanburen)) is a closeted witch surviving midst the Drustvar witch trials
-Haela, despite being a monster herself, is a monster hunter and oft goes out on hunts. She will protect Innocents, even if it's a loathed act that they were in the way to begin with
- Araebe considers anyone who cleans, protects or loves the ocean a member of her kin and she will give you goodies from the depths for honorable acts
- Amian loves literally anyone and everyone, she shall protect you in the face of any adversary
- Camille was disowned by her widowed father for dropping out of school and thus craves parental bonds.
A few options, but we can discuss any other possibility! 🤷
💔 - past relationship ~
Again, this is an open opportunity. We just have to discuss who to consider for the roles and we can work of the rest of the details! The most likely candidates for the running and why:
Susan - Obviously, she's the most unlikely of them all to hold down a stable relationship. The first sign of serious vibes and she bolts, feigning that shes unprepared or doesn't love the person when in actuality she is notorious for sabotaging her happiness.
Lysandra Vanburen- She would have been a sordid partner of affairs, able to get away with such unladylike happenings in her youth for the sole fact of who her family is. Low caste or high, if they were good company and beautiful enough she may have dabbled in discreet relationships .. but it would all come to an end at a certain age when she started taking being a representative to the Vanburen name much more seriously.
Rickie - She's a drifter. Can't stay in one place long before feeling the literal call of the wild, she will always come back to town for a fling or a few months of playing house before deucing with her dogs to get back to traveling the world.
Araebe - She's not for the land, always feeling the ocean drag her back in. The open waters are her home and life, this she is rarely able to commit for the sake of her loved one.. for the ocean is her greatest love of all and she will not turn her back on it to live a fruitless life on land pretending to be human.
Haela - Monster hunters make for terrible dates, she would leave anyone on read at the chance of a monster in the area for her to flex her skills on. Plus she's kinda freaky as an individual, a psychopath in all respects.
💜 - hateship ( they hate each other but can’t stay away ) ~
Lysandra loathes the Horde. Her history in military has left her with scars and horror stories that haunt her to this day, things she vowed to spend a life time repaying the faction for. They are all a kill on sight for her. It is a possibility where anyone she ships with she constantly runs into and will happily engage in a fight with without hesitation. Or, if on neutral territory, she will harass and mean mug you to death.
Galiera can make shit hard to swallow, and will clash/argue with anyone who responds poorly to her often shitty attitude.
Susan and Rickie don't hate people easily, but crossing either one earns a lifetime of headaches from sly/aggressive quips from the Madam or straight up shitty remarks from Rickie when around them. But its also just as acceptable for them to become frenemies with anyone. 🤙
Amian is a devout woman of the Light. She will never quietly accept the atrocities of how people destroy their bodies to house dark magic. Demon hunters, warlocks, good elves and in general people of the dark arts are susceptible to her passive aggressiveness.

I’ll go ahead and give you (and anyone curious) a list of potential candidates who would be open to such tom foolery:
Rickie, Esme, Verzatea, Araebe, Camille, Haela. Everyone else is a possibility but there's too many variables that could ignite or snuff out such a potential friendship that itd require some forethought.

Nah that’s not true, I honestly have written but not in fanfic form. Though I think the theme this year has been rediscovering why I like writing in the first place. I took a big break and it kind of let me reset my priorities and start having fun with everything again. So maybe let’s say renewal. My characters, in turn, have been a lot more open to shenanigans.

BLOG ENTRY 1: Any writing activity you did in SHS

Our teacher made us do an activity about historical places in our country and we will give it an essay. First I thought of a place with a lot of background storyline, Finally we thought of a place for me to give an essay and I chose the Clark abandoned hospital, I chose it because there are many background stories about this place and a lot of bad things happened here and when I did my essay I learned a lot of things from it and it gave me a lot of ideas and I was very happy because I found out and learned a lot while doing our essay and I did it a few times because I missed some things and details while doing the essay. It was a bit difficult because the background storyline of Clark Abandoned Hospital was too broad and too long. and finally I finished my essay and I will pass it to my teacher.

Cat In The Snow
In the month of December, We traveled to Western China during the snow season with my family. My hands were red from being so cold as I collected some snow to make a snowball. I was surprised to see a cat with light gray and yellowish-reddish fur walking towards me. Although it is incredibly cute, I feels awful for the cat because it looks like it might attack me as it gets closer. I hurriedly down the snow, but I fell and the cat nipped my arm as it prepared to attack me. Thankfully, a man named Diego intervened to fend off the cat and saved me. Diego provided me a first aid pack right away and warned him not to keep the Pallad Cat as a pet since it is harmful. Pallas the cat is wonderful to look at but if kept as a pet, it would be genuinely miserable and possibly make you sad as well.
Setting: This short story takes place during a snowy season in December in Western China.
Characters: Me, Diego and the Pallas Cat.
Plot: As part of the story's narrative, a Pallas cat attacked me, and I later discovered just how deadly they are.

SETTING :
December 26, 2019, Velasquez St. Tondo, Manila.
(SCENE 1: Bandang 6 ng gabi araw ng Huwebes, may isang pamilya ang nagsalo-salo.)
(Niligpit ni Sinta ang hapag kainan at bumaba upang umihi.)
Maria: Sinta! Saan ka na ba at mag igib na ng tubig para ipanghuhugas ng pinggan!
Sinta: Sandali lang po ina at ako’y umiihi pa.
Maria: Dalian mo at napakatagal mo! Halos wala ka na ngang ginagawa dito sa bahay, tatamad-tamad ka pa!
(Nakabusangot at padabog na umakyat si Sinta habang dala-dala ang isang balde na may lamang tubig.)
Maria: Oh ano! Padabog-dabog ka pa! Pinapakuha ka lang naman ng tubig, tinatamad ka pa!
Sinta: Sinabi ko naman sa iyo na ako’y umiihi pa, hindi ka makapag hintay. Halos ako na nga nag aalaga sa mga kapatid ko makapag-trabaho ka lang, sasabihan mo pa ako na wala na akong ginawa dito sa bahay! Wala kang utang na loob, dinagdag mo pa akin ang responsibilidad dito sa bahay!
(Lumapit si Maria kay Sinta ay sinampal niya ito.)
Maria: Ako pa ang walang utang na loob? Ako na nga nagpapa-aral, nagpapakain at binibigay ang pangangailangan niyo dito sa bahay, ako pa ang walang utang na loob? Bastos kang bata ka!
Sinta: Hindi naman namin hiniling mabuhay para ibigay mo ang pangangailangan namin upang tanawin yun ng utang na loob! Kaya siguro tayo iniwan ni tatay dahil ganiyan ang ugali mo, anak kayo ng anak tapos ako rin ang mag-aalaga? Tao rin ako, nahihirapan rin ako!
Maria: Aba! Sumasagot sagot ka na! Hindi mo lang alam mga sakripisyong binigay ko para sa inyo simula nung iniwan tayo ng tatay niyo tapos ano! Ito ang isusukli mo sa akin!
(Galit na sinabunotan at pinagsasampal-sampal muli ni Maria si Sinta ngunit sinasaktan na ni Sinta ang kaniyang sarili habang siya ay lumuluha.)
Sinta: Oh sige pa! Sampal-sampalin mo pa ako! Jan ka naman magaling, ang saktan ako!
(Natigilan si Maria, tumigil siya sa pananakit sa kaniyang anak at umalis ngunit kitang-kita sa kaniyang mga mata na siya ay lu-luha na.)
(SCENE 2: Kinaumagahan, kinausap ni Berto si Sinta dahil sa mga pangyayari.)
(Naghanda ng pagkain si Sinta para sa umagahan, ngunit biglang dumating ang kaniyang Tito na si Berto, pagod galing trabaho.)
Berto: Nabalitaan ko ang sagotan n’yong mag-ina, huwag masyadong mag-padala sa iyong nararamdaman.
(Patuloy parin si Sinta sa kaniyang ginagawa, nagpa-panggap ito na may hinahanap ngunit patagong tumutulo ang kaniyang luha, palihim niya rin itong pinupunasan.)
Berto: Naiintindihan kita Sinta, naiintindihan ko ang iyong nararamdaman. Tahan na, pag-pasensyahan mo na ang iyong ina dahil pagod lang ‘yon sa trabaho at maraming problema kaya’t ikaw ang napagbu-buntongan niya.
(Marahang lumapit si Sinta sa kaniyang tiyuhin, niyakap nita ito ng mahigpit.)
Sinta: Tito pasensya na kung nagiging pala-sagot na akong bata, hindi ko na po ‘yon uulitin. Lalabas nga po pala ako ngayon para pumunta sa parke kasama ang aking mga kaibigan.
Berto: Huwag ka sa akin manghingi ng tawad, sa iyong ina dapat dahil kayo ang nagka-sagotan. Oh itto pera, mag-enjoy ka sa parke kasama ang mga kaibigan mo. Mag-ingay kayo!
(Kinuha ni Sinta ang inabot ng tiyuhin niya'ng pera.)
Sinta: Opo tito, salamat.
(SCENE 3: Pag-sapit ng alas singko ng hapon, matapos ni Sinta mamasyal sa parke, siya ay naglalakad sa kanilang street patungo sa kanilang tahanan.)
(Pagbukas ng pinto ni Sinta, siya’y kabado at nagtaka dahil walang ilaw ang kanilang tahanan, laking gulat niya nang buksan niya ang ilaw.)
Berto at Maria: Surprise! Maligayang kaarawan sa’yo Sinta!
Sinta: Jusko! Nakaka-gulat naman kayo, akala ko’y mahihimatay na ako. Ngunit maraming salamat sa surpresa, may pa-decoration pa! Hindi ko ‘to inaasahan. Akala ko nga nalimutan niyo na kaarawan ko ngayon kaya lumabas na lamang ako kanina.
Maria: Alam mo ba na si Tito Berto mo ang nag-decorate niyan at gumastos ng pang handa mo.
Sinta: Nako! Maraming salamat po tito.
(Ngumiti lamang si Berto at sinindihan niya ang kandila ng keyk.)
Berto: Oh! Ang pinakamamahal kong pamangkin, Ano ang wish mo?
Sinta: Ang wish ko po, ay sana magkaayos kami ni mama. ‘Yun lang po.
(Lumuluhang lumapit si Maria sa kaniyang anak at niyakap ito.)
Maria: Alam mo anak, pasensya na kung mainitin ang aking ulo. Maraming salamat dahil kayo ni Tito mo ang naging katuwang ko sa buhay. Sana hindi ka magbago, anak. Dahil napakabuti mong bata, huwag kang sumukong abotin ang pangarap mo dahil andito lang kami ng Tito mo. I love you anak.
Sinta: Ma, sorry din po kung nagiging palasagot ako sa’yo. Hindi ko na po ‘yon uulitin, I love you too ma.
(Niyakap ni Sinta ang kaniyang ina, lumapit rin si Berto at sumali sa yakapan ng kaniyang kapatid at pamangkin.)

BLOG ENTRY 6: Children's Story

Si Meribel at Marybal
Bagong dating lang ang galang pusa sa bahay na ito, ito na ang huling bahay na kaniyang pupuntahan ngayong araw upang manguha ng mga pagkain sa mesa dahil nabusog na siya sa bahay ng kaniyang kaibigang pusa na si Merong kanina dahil kanilang nilantakan ang isang buong cake na nakatago sa loob ng ref.
Buong araw naghahanap ng pagkain ang galang pusa sapagkat siya ay isang galang-pusa lamang ngunit sa kaniyang huling bahay na kukuhanan ng pagkain ay naka-abang si Meribel isang bahay-pusa na nag-aantay sa pagdating ng kaniyang amo na si Mamamiya.
"*M-e-o-w* Anong ginagawa mo sa lamesang ito?" tanong ni Meribel "Makikikain *meow* lang sana" sagot ng galang pusa "Hindi maari, iniwan ang cake na yan para sa akin at hindi para sayo. *Meow*" dagdag ni Meribel "O, sige *meow* tutal busog den naman nako. Magpaka-busog ka *meow*" sagot ng galang pusa.
Iyon ang unang pagkikita nila Meribel at ni galang pusa ngunit simula noon ay balik na nang balik ang galang pusa sa bahay ni Meribel ngunit lagi siya nitong dinadamutan ng pagkain hanggang sa isang gabing umuulan ng napaka-lakas naghihingalong pumunta ang galang pusa sa bintana ng bahay ni Meribel at nagmamakaawang papasukin ito at pakainin ng pagkain "Parang awa mo na *meow* *meow* wala na akong makakain, tatlong araw na *meow* ako palabo'y-laboy sa *meow* baryong ito" pagmamakaawa niya. "Sinabi nang hindi pwede *mmeoww* lahat ng pagkaing nandirito ay pawang akin lamang at hindi para sa iyo palaboy na galang pusa *mmeoww*" sagot ni Meribel.
Umalis na umiiyak ang galang pusa. Araw-araw niyang pinupuntahan ang bahay ni Merong ngunit hindi na ito bumalik, naglalakad siya sa papunta sa tapat ng bahay ni Meribel nang kunin siya ng isang babae at dinala ito sa kaniyang bahay.... pabalik sa bahay ni Meribel?, dali-daling nagpupumiglas ang galang pusa ngunit dahil sa pagkaing biskwit ay hinayaan niya na lang ito.
Pagdating sa bahay tuwang-tuwa sinabi ni Mamamiya na may kasama na si Meribel at pinangalanan niya ito Marybal dahil sa pareho silang kulay itim at pati ang kulay ng kanilang mata ay pareho ngunit magkaiba, si Meribel ay kulay berde ang mata sa kaliwa at lila nman sa kanan samantalang si Marybal ay kulay berde sa kanan at lila na may asul sa kaliwa. "Oh! diba may kapatid kana!! Meribel at Marybal ang aking dalawang anak" masayang-masaya anunsyo ni Mamamiya "dinala ko siyang sapagkat ang payat payat niya na at mukang hindi siya nakakain ng ilang araw" dagdag pa niya. Agad nang hingi ng paumanhin si Meribel kay Marybal at buong galak namang pinatawad ni Marybal si Meribel at simula non lagi na silang naghahati sa pagkain.

Meet my OC: Alejandro
Here we go, meet Alejandro, one of my OC. He's a Togruta.
Alejandro is a Togruta. His parents, Alejandro and Aurora, both fled to Dantooine from Kiros in approximately 35 BBY.
Alejandro was born in 32 BBY, while his sister Alexis was born in 27 BBY. Growing up, Alejandro's life was relatively normal. Or at least as normal as it can be with a Security Guard dad and a Nurse mom.
Then the clone wars broke out, and during a particualrly nasty fight, the then 11 year old Alejandro was almost killed by a BX-Series Droid Commander, which left him with a lot of damage to his back and right arm, as well as a damaged lekku, though it was saved.
The damage to his back, and arm left him unable to move with any grace, throw a ball, or even go to the toilet properly.
It took over a dozen painful operations, and months of rehabilitation before Alejandro could even walk again, though the damage meant he couldn't walk entirely normally.
Alejandro was greatly supported by his mom and younger sister, but struggled with his mental health. Though he became the supporter when his younger sister mentally self-destructed and spent 6 months in a mental therapy hospital.
In 18 BBY, Alejandro, now 14, met the then 13-year-old Omega, who was also struggling with her mental health. The two quickly became friends, and grew close due to a mix of shared interests, their supportive and empathic natures, and overlapping trauma.
Although they were close, due to the risks of the complex surgery Alejandro was going to have to go through to fix his back once fully grown, they didn't hook up for a long time.
The surgery was a success, and after more intense rehabilitation, Alejandro and Omega fell in love in 10 BBY. They got married in 7 BBY, and had two children, Kara in 4 BBY and Zaak in 2 BBY.
Alejandro is 6'02" tall with a slim build. He had darker skin, lengthy montrails and lekku. Due to the damage inflicted by the Droid,
Alejandro is very empathic, and has a very kind and supportive nature. He loves nature, and loves helping people, where he can. He's a well known Linguist on Dantooine, and in addition to knowing how to speak BAsic and Togruti, he learns how to speak Twi-leki, Mando'a, Dosh and Cheunh.

MLQC Season 2 Chapter 15 (Kiro’s Chapter) Final Part [Invincible Position] & [Silver Promise] Translation [CN]
***SPOILERS*** DO NOT READ IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE SPOILED!!!
This is the final translation of Kiro’s chapter 15 in MLQC season 2. Since there wasn’t much left, I decided to combine the last two parts of the chapter into one. Thanks so much for waiting and hoped that you enjoyed reading~

[Invincible Position]
As soon as Helios said the words, the boy’s pupils lost their focus, and his body was shaking uncontrollably, as if he had to squeeze all his life to fulfill this absolute command.
The silver-white arc of light from his feet instantly shoots outward like ripples.
The dazzling light gathered in the palm of his hand and then exploded into countless arches, jumping around.
Joker’s calm expression finally broke. He struggled to get up and raised his hand with difficulty.
But nothing can be changed.
The moment the silver-white arc appeared, we had won.
In the next moment, some chaotic voices loomed outside the department store.
The boy’s body shook violently. Soon, the light dissipated and he fell to his knees helplessly, completely drained from the immense amount of energy used.
Probably this huge unstable force caused a certain amount of chaos in the city at the moment of transfer, but at least—
All of them left the misty Loveland City safely.
Helios smirked and was about to say something but suddenly a pool of blood spilled from his mouth.
MC: Helios!
I ran to him in a hurry, just barely managed to catch his quivering body. The strong smell of blood instantly filled my nose.
I carefully avoided the wound on his body and helped him up, took his gun and let him lean on my back, blocking Joker from him.
The knife in Helios’ hand was chilling in the light, and the blood-stained silver pistol was also extremely heavy.
But I still held it up straight and pointed it at Joker.
Helios: What are you doing?
MC: I will protect you.
Even though I know we have won, Joker is still here.
As long as he is still here, we must not let our guard down.
MC: I will protect you.
I repeated it again, without calling his name.
Joker: It turns out you did it on purpose.
Helios: Are you just realizing that now?
With a trembling hand, he took out the black metal box from his pocket and pressed one of the buttons.
The screen showed the city map of Loveland City. He glanced down, raised his head and smiled softly.
I followed his gaze and Joker frowned.
He glanced at the young boy who was sitting on the ground and his cold eyes revealed his anger at this moment.
Joker: Your goal was him from the beginning. You were using me.
Joker: A clever hunter must know when it is the best time to be injured, and then use the wound to attract its prey.
Joker: Unexpectedly, you are a very good actor.
Helios: Don’t be discouraged, you flatter me. This game is not bad, right?
MC: ….?
Could it be that Helios was injured deliberately?
I stared blankly at him trying to understand the meaning of their conversation.
He pretended to let me hypnotize the boy, then hid his Evol and purposely exposed his flaws.
He wanted to use this method to divert Joker’s attention and at the same time, consuming Joker’s physical strength.
When the time was right, he took advantage of Joker’s vulnerability and used Evol to command the boy to move the whole city away and save everyone.
He thought of everyone’s circumstances, figured out how to save others, and put me in the safest position in advance.
But he never considered himself. In order to ensure everyone’s safety, he let himself get injured.
My whole body was shaking, my back facing him, holding the pistol, my eyes were beginning to sting.
He slowly straightened his body, stretched out his sweat- and blood-soaked arm, wrapped it around my waist, and moved in front of me.
Sensing my gaze, he turned his head to look at me, his eyes had a certain light in them.
As if not caring about the scars on his body and trying to comfort me so that I don’t have to worry about him.
The boy who fell on the ground was panting heavily and then finally reacted, staring cruelly at Helios.
Teenage Boy: Da--damn it. You cheated!
Helios: You are so stupid.
Helios slowly stood up with my help.
The simple action seemed to consume all his energy but he didn’t stop, struggling to straighten his back, and looked down at Joker.
Helios: The current Loveland is just an empty city.
Helios: No one’s life will be threatened, no more conflicts will occur, and no one will die because of the hunter game.
Helios: You have lost the bargaining chip with me.
Helios: You lose.
Joker raised up his head, no emotions could be seen in his dark gray eyes.
Joker: As long as the fog still remains, the game can continue.
Joker: You can send people out but I can send people back again.
Joker: No one can stop it until I have the answer.
His nonchalant attitude made me a little angry. The tragedy I saw in the hunter game was so vivid that I couldn’t help but speak.
MC: ….What do you take human life for!
MC: No one is your experiment and tool to achieve your goals!
MC: No matter what you want to accomplish with the hunter game, it doesn’t matter if you are looking for CORE or looking for the lighthouse…
MC: You can’t turn a blind eye to life. No one can do that.
Joker’s expression moved slightly. He looked at me casually for a while, then spoke after a long time.
Joker: You know a lot.
Joker: But everything needs to be proven.
Joker: The formula on the paper, the theorems, and…
Joker: The ambiguity of the world.
Joker: The hunter game is just a method of experimentation.
Joker: All sacrifices and trials are necessary on the road to truth.
Joker: The world needs answers and if you can’t grasp it, you will never move forward.
Joker’s voice was faint but his eyes remained unwavering.
I was taken aback for a moment and I didn’t understand what Joker was referring to.
What does he want to prove?
He seems to have more secrets than I thought, like a complex mathematical equation. No matter how ridiculous his methods are, he will not stop.
Helios: No matter what you want to argue, you should not exchange innocent lives for answers.
Joker: Our position is different, there is no need to discuss it.
Helios: Don’t be too impatient.
Helios: I haven’t taken out my bargaining chip yet so how do you know that there is no need for discussion.
Helios looked at him calmly, speaking slowly, word for word.
Helios: You disperse the fog and I will take you to the lighthouse.
My heart jumped and I looked at Helios in surprise. He stared at Joker but secretly squeezed my hand, silently telling me not to speak.
Joker’s gaze fell on Helios, as if interested in his words.
Helios seemed to chuckle slightly and continued.
Helios: Evol energy fluctuations are not the only way to open the lighthouse.
Helios: You have worked hard but you have gone too far.
Joker: Why should I believe your words?
Helios: The thorny slab of the “8” sign, the transparent steps, the residual intelligence…
Helios: If you have entered the lighthouse, you should know what I am talking about.
Teenage Boy: Surely, you are deceiving us. There is no residual intelligence in the lighthouse!
Although the boy was powerless on the ground, he still retorted righteously, as if he was quite sure that Helios was lying.
I was taken aback for a moment, looked at Joker and found that he also showed a somewhat puzzled expression.
Helios didn’t speak and looked carefully at Joker for a while, suddenly the corners of his lips curled up, seeming to understand something.
Helios: It seems that you have never opened the lighthouse.
Teenage Boy: Nonsense, we have been inside many lighthouses!
Helios grinned and raised his eyebrows casually.
Helios: Are you sure?
Joker: Did you see the residual intelligence?
Joker spoke suddenly. There was no expression on his face, but I inexplicably heard a trace of apprehension in his voice.
Helios’ gaze stayed on Joker’s face for a moment, and then he answered directly.
Helios: It depends on your attitude to find out if I’m telling the truth.
There was finally a crack in Joker’s expression and he took a deep breath as if hiding his emotions.
Helios: Let’s talk about the conditions again.
Helios: I will take you to the lighthouse and you tell her how to disperse the fog.
Helios: Also, let her leave safely.
[Silver Promise]
Helios’s words pierced my heart like a sharp knife, and I grasped his hand tightly and looked at him anxiously.
MC: I’m not leaving. I’m going with you.
Helios has suffered such a serious injury and there are still many things we don’t know about Joker….
In any case, I can’t let him go to the lighthouse with Joker alone.
Helios: This has nothing to do with you.
His tone was firm. I opened my mouth and wanted to say something, but Joker interrupted.
Joker: I can agree to your terms.
Joker: I’ll let her go and resolve the fog.
Joker: However, I need to prove first that you can indeed open the lighthouse.
Helios: You have no room for negotiation with me.
Helios interrupted Joker and his eyes were cold.
Helios: Tell her how to get rid of the fog, and then ask your lackey to send her away.
Helios: If you still want to go to the lighthouse, do as I say.
MC: W-wait….
Helios: Listen carefully.
He leaned close to my ear, and his tone was softer than ever before.
Helios: You need to disperse the fog in Loveland City.
Helios: So that the game can truly end.
He looked into my eyes with a commanding tone but comfort and encouragement lurked in those depths.
Helios: You want to save everyone and find that healthy Loveland City again.
His tone eased slightly, but his eyes were firm and left no room for argument.
I know he is right, and if I linger any longer, I will only drag him down and I can’t let him lose everything that he has done.
MC: But your body….
Helios: The wound looks scarier than it actually is. It’s not fatal.
I bit my lip, tried to restrain the urge to cry, and nodded gently.
MC: Okay, I promise you.
MC: But you have to promise me one thing.
MC: After the matter is over, you must contact me as soon as possible to let me know you are safe.
He bends the corners of his lips, the expression on his face softens considerably and I seem to see Kiro.
Helios: I promise you.
He raised his hand, lightly wiped the corner of my eye, and then let go of my hand.
The moment my palm lost the warm touch, my heart was empty as if I was torn open.
I turned around, not daring to take another look at Helios, fearing that I would regret making this decision if I delay it for another second.
The moment I walked to the boy’s side, I still couldn’t help but turn my head and look at Helios standing in the shadows.
Helios: “Wait for me to come see you.”
In the faint silver-white arc of light, I saw him open his mouth slightly.
I swallowed the lump in my throat and then, darkness swept through my vision.
The boy teleported me to the weather station in Loveland City and reluctantly told me that the special substance to eliminate the fog was hidden under the weather station.
After the teenage boy disappeared, I did not give myself too much time to process my emotions and started to work on dispelling the fog.
I contacted Zehn and asked him to send someone outside the city to find the weather station staff in the shortest time and bring them back to the city safely as soon as possible.
After that, I arranged for the BS researcher to come quickly and sample the special substance and swiftly conduct analysis and research on it.
While I was waiting, I started to edit the news about “Loveland City has successfully dispelled the toxic fog” on my mobile phone and prepared to release it after the fog was successfully eliminated.
Soon, the staff of the weather station returned and according to the analysis, many large metal cans without labels were found in the underground warehouse.
The staff frowned, seeming to know exactly what it was, and quickly picked up a jar and ran to a certain research room.
I took a step back slightly, turned and walked into the lounge.
At this point, this is something that can only be left to the professionals to do.
I looked at the vast white fog outside the window, but my heart was extremely peaceful.
“Boom—”
Mist containers scattered into the distance and exploded violently.
Upon release of those containers, the treacherous fog slowly disappeared and the night sky of Loveland City finally revealed a small array of stars.
The real midnight of Loveland City has come at last.
After confirming that the fog has dissipated, I posted the news bulletin to various social platforms, hoping that this information can spread faster.
When I was finished, it was already dawn, and a bit of cold morning light was reflected in the sky, and I stood in front of the window, my mind full of thoughts.
I looked up at the untouched starry sky and a rush of stinging pain surged in my heart.
MC: Kiro…
The superhero fulfilled his promise.
He returned the former Loveland City to everyone.
But no one knows how much he paid for this and no one knows whether he is safe.
I clenched my hands tightly, praying in my heart over and over again that he would come back safely as soon as possible.
“Buzz—”
There was a vibration from my phone and I quickly picked it up. After seeing the name on the screen, my prayers were finally answered.
Helios didn’t say much on the phone. He only asked me to meet at the bridge’s edge.
I hurriedly left the weather station, only to find that the sky was already bright and some people had gradually started returning to Loveland City.
The police sirens kept blaring along the way, “caution” tape was set up in every corner of the city, and several helicopters hovered in the air.
The Loveland City government and related agencies are actively doing recovery and post-work.
Maybe Loveland will return to the old days soon.
Thinking about this, I quickened my steps.
Upon arriving at the river, I saw Helios sitting on the railing of the bridge from a distance.
He sat there alone, his silver hair almost blending in with the blue sky of dawn.
My footsteps stopped, and seeing him like this, I felt a pang of emptiness in my heart.
Helios seemed to hear my footsteps and turned to look at me.
He has changed his clothes and all his injuries from yesterday were covered under the neat clothes, as if nothing had ever happened.
His expression is still so cold, but after everything that happened yesterday, I know that there is already something different.
I steadied my breathing and met his gaze.
Helios: I came to honor the promise.
Helios: You did very well.
MC: How are you?
Helios: Aren’t I standing in front of you unharmed?
I was slightly taken aback.
MC: What about Joker? Has the lighthouse issue been resolved?
He didn’t answer, just took the familiar metal box from his pocket and tossed it to me.
I caught the metal box in the air and saw an ocean sector displayed on the screen with many active coordinates on it.
Helios: These are the coordinates of all the players who were teleported away by “ghosts” in the game.
Helios: According to the map, they were trapped on a small island in the sea.
Helios: I will start from Joker’s side to investigate the whereabouts of this group of people.
Helios: I have erased your information from the system. Joker will not find you.
Helios: There are also the coordinates of all the players in this device. I need you to be my eyes in Loveland City and always pay attention to their movements.
MC: What about you? Where are you going?
MC: You haven’t answered me yet. Has Joker’s problem been settled?
I subconsciously blurted out the question in my mind. I am pretty sure he is hiding something from me.
What he said seemed like he was going to some dangerous place.
Following his profile, I once again saw the strange-shaped earphone in his right ear, and my breathing became still.
Helios looked at me steadily, his eyes shining, but he was silent.
He seemed to have noticed my stare. After lowering his gaze slightly, he reached out and took off the earphone.
His eyes closed slowly, and when they opened later, the azure blue pupils were coated with a layer of piercing golden light.
At that moment, I seemed to hear the sound of a string that was always tight being torn off.
I closed my eyes and tried to suppress the constant bitterness.
MC: Are you going to use your power again?
MC: You want me to listen your orders and leave, right?
MC: Still want me to forget? Forget all this, forget about your ears.
I stubbornly opened my eyes, struggling with the silent person in front of me.
This is an unspoken conversation. Many things have changed since he commanded the boy.
Helios: You should have forgotten.
Helios: But I don’t want you to.
I stared at him blankly and was suddenly locked in place by his words.
The morning wind pulled the hem of his clothes and the dawn behind him broke through the thick clouds at some point and spread over his shoulders.
His whole body was bathed in a layer of warm gold.
Helios: I want you to always remember everything about me.
Helios: No matter…..what kind of me.
I blinked hard, the whole world became a little brighter, but only those golden pupils made my eyes become hot and damp.
MC: What I remember is always about you.
It’s you: the light is you, the darkness is also you.
From beginning to end, all I envisioned was him.
Hearing what I said, a faint smile appeared on Helios’ face.
Helios: I need you to stay.
Helios: Because only in this way can I feel at ease.
Helios: But just saying that, it is still you who is solely delivering trust.
I watched him approach me step by step in doubt, lowering his head, those golden eyes magnified in front of me, allowing me to see a complete self.
Helios: So you can command me.
MC: Me command you?
Helios: This is your privilege.
He bent down, raised his hand and gently brushed my hair behind my ears, his expression calm and relaxed, waiting for me quietly.
MC: I command you—
I looked into his eyes, knowing that it had no real effect, but I knew it was his own way to seal a promise that only belongs to us.
MC: You must come back safely.
The corners of his lips curled upward and the brilliant light fell in his eyes.
Helios: Wait for me to return.
His voice fell and he walked to the far side of the bridge without looking back. His back gradually disappeared at the end of the bridge.
I close my palms and tell myself in my heart—
He will come back safely.
This is our agreement.
In the ancient and mysterious giant building, the light from the walls faintly appeared.
The silhouette formed by the lines stood in front of Helios and Joker but was silent.
Joker circled the empty hall and walked back to where he was.
Joker: You lied.
Helios stood calmly in the shadows, as if he had anticipated the current situation.
Helios: Didn’t you lie to me too?
He looked at Joker and his expression gradually became colder.
In a remote corner of Loveland City, a faint mist floats quietly in a hidden dark place.

These are some HC that I wrote for Scars Don't Fade before chapter 5 I think... Never really included them in story but I think they are fun..
Gojo wants to have 4 kids. He loves them..but he knows it eventually depends on his partner but if they were okay with it then definitely 4 kids.. Also wants a daughter so bad...
Shoko and y/n once got drunk married to each other, they marriage was officiated by a youtube video
Geto had a dog growing up he also once fed Gojo dog food telling his it was a new snack..
Nanami journals daily..he has too many thoughts. Kiro badly wants a dog but Nanami thinks he is too young for it..
Gojo once won a fish stuff toy for y/n in a fair and she still has it in a box. Geto won Shoko an owl stuff toy that she has kept behind her bookshelf.
When Gojo and Mei were in USA they booked up multiple times but Gojo never put a label on it. Gojo also booked up with other women. Y/n not so much, maybe one or two men..
Y/n truly admired Nanami and wants to be like him. She likes how sorted and smart he is about life. She and Kiro once planned a birthday surprise but Kiro mumbled it in his sleep and Nanami found out.
Y/n like coffee more than tea. She only drinks tea when she is in a really stressful situation and needs to calm her nerves to think clearly.
Shoko is more courageous than y/n but y/n is more kind. They are like sisters and have a matching tattoo.
Shoko's always used a red colour metal lighter. Get used similar one in black.
Mei loves chanel and Hermes. She is brand conscious and also judges a person by their clothes, only person she doesn't judge is Gojo. When they were younger Mei admired y/n for her personality and how easily she made friends with everyone.
Mei wants to impress her father but she wants to become like her uncle. She thinks power is everything.
Megumi was trying to get wine for toji when the incident happened. Y/n has kept his drawing in her cabin. She thinks it's cute.
Once gojo told y/n that he was going to marry her until shoko reminded him that y/n and her were married already.. you have matching acrylic frog rings for engagement ring.

War & the Jedi
This will be a long meta rant, FYI.
The Jedi Order, specifically the Prequel era Jedi Order, gets a lot of hate these days particularly regarding their involvement in the Clone Wars. Accusations are tossed at their feet constantly ranging from corruption all the way up to warmongering.
Let’s first look at the Oxford English Dictionary definition of these two accusations, shall we?
Corruption - having or showing a willingness to act dishonestly in return for money or personal gain.
Warmonger - a person who encourages or advocates aggression towards other countries or groups.
The definitions of these two words are so very misunderstood when it comes to relation to the Jedi. If the Jedi are truly “corrupt” then where are the examples of their dishonesty for wealth or personal gain? In fact, I’d argue that canon (and Legends) makes a point to show us that it is the Sith who are in it for personal gain, not the Jedi. The Jedi have absolutely NOTHING to gain from this war on a personal level, in fact they are losing members in terrifying numbers.
The Jedi are also not advocating aggression towards the Separatists, in fact what we see instead is the Jedi DEFENDING against the Separatists. I have yet to see in either canon or legends an instance where the Republic forces invade a Separatist planet who doesn’t have an army or some military involvement (i.e. weapon factories). However, time after time we see the Separatists forcing peaceful planets who want nothing to do with them to either bow to their cause or die (i.e. Ryloth, Lurmen planet, Kiros, Mandalore) the Jedi and Republic Troops will then follow the Separatists to these planets, but they try to do what they can to liberate the planet from the Separaist invasion and then they give the planet the OPTION to join the Republic for safety and economic reasons, but they never force them, as is super evident with Mandalore.
Yet people don’t seem to see this and continue to drag the Jedi through the mud.
Here are the top 5 other “woke” takes I hear -
Jedi are peacekeepers and should not have gotten involved:
First things first, let’s look at the definition of Peacekeeper - a soldier, military force, etc., deployed to maintain or restore peace.
I’d argue by that definition the Jedi were still peacekeepers, it’s true that they weren’t a 3rd party as they normally were before the war, but their position was trying to maintain or restore peace. Peacekeeper is not the same thing as a Pacifist, the Jedi were skilled warriors (training from childhood to wield a lightsaber), the difference is Jedi used their skills for defense not attack which is what we constantly saw throughout the Clone Wars.
With regards to the idea that Jedi “should not have gotten involved” I ask you then what exactly were they supposed to do instead?
We see at the beginning of Attack of the Clones that the Jedi are worried things will escalate to war, they have obviously gone to the Chancellor hoping that a diplomatic solution can be presented to avoid bloodshed. Or if that isn’t possible then that the Republic have some way to defend themselves other than relying solely on the Jedi (i.e. an army). The Separatists are the ones pushing them to a breaking point, were the Jedi just supposed to stand back and let innocent people be invaded/killed because they didn’t want to get involved? The Jedi were “Guardians of Peace and Justice” which means it was their duty to help bring about peace in the galaxy while also enacting justice.
Then after Geonosis (where they lost approx. 187 members mind you) they learned that the Sith are leading the Separatist army - the Jedi are duty bound by their code to fight the Sith, they had no choice but to join the war.
So, I ask again...what were they supposed to do instead?
2. Jedi used a slave army for their own purposes:
Okay, I can (and probably will) write a whole argument based on just this accusation alone. There are so many fallacies I don’t even know where to begin but I’ll try.
I guess my first question is the same as #1, what were the Jedi supposed to do instead with regards to the Clones?
Technically speaking the Clones didn’t “belong” to the Jedi, they were “property” of the Republic (as stated by Lama Su in Attack of the Clones). In fact, the Jedi Council not only didn’t know about the order, they had vehemently denied Syfo Dias’ earlier request to raise an army in the first place. The Sith KNEW the Jedi would be against it, this was all part of their plan to trap the Jedi (as was EVERYTHING about the war) - they clouded the Force, they literally deleted Kamino from the Archives so the Jedi wouldn’t discover it until the Sith WANTED them to (i.e. Jango just happened to use a Kamino dart?? Come on people). Yoda even states “blind we are if creation of this clone army we could not see” he fully admits they missed it because the Dark Side was clouding their vision.
Regardless, the army was created, there was no changing that fact. Had the Jedi not taken command of the army do you think the Clones wouldn’t have had to go to war? Do you actually believe that the Republic who couldn’t get their citizens to give 2 craps about the war would’ve taken up the mantle and fought instead? Do you think if the Jedi were like “thanks, but we didn’t order this” that the Kamioans would’ve just let the Clones go free?
The answer you’re looking for is...no.
So, like absolutely everything about the Clone Wars the Jedi did the best they could with the cards they had been dealt. They chose to lead the army on the front lines, putting themselves in just as much mortal danger as the men they were leading. They even sent a member of the Jedi Council to oversee the creation of future clones/training to ensure they were being treated humanely (something the Kamioans thought was ridiculous). They were the first to tell the clones that they were individuals, they constantly put themselves in front of their men to protect them (i.e. season 7 Obi-Wan deflecting the rocket from blowing up his men). The Jedi did what they could, just because we didn’t see on screen Jedi stopping to grieve every time a clone died did not mean that they didn’t care - real life Generals can’t stop in the middle of a battle to grieve over their fallen soldiers either, so why is it we consider it a moral crime if the Jedi don’t?
Another thing I’ll add is once the Jedi had evidence that the Clones were actually ordered by Dooku, did they immediately stop and say “oh hell no, these flesh droids can’t be trusted, we should just have them decommissioned”?? NO! They defended the Clones, stating that they were good men and should be trusted (and look where that trust got them in the end).
The Jedi were forced/coerced to fight this war as much as the Clones were!! Why are we willing to forgive the Clones, but not the Jedi???
3. Ki-Adi-Mundi killing Geonosians was the same as Anakin’s slaughter at the Tusken camp:
This is another moment where context is everything because there is a HUGE difference between Ki-Adi-Mundi on Geonosis and Anakin in the Tusken camp. The fact that I have to even spell it out makes me wonder how people can even dress themselves in the morning.
The Geonosians were an opposing military force, attacking Ki-Adi and his troops. Anakin slaughtered unarmed women and children out of vengeance.
Now, had Ki-Adi turned to his men and screamed “to the catacombs!” brandishing his lightsaber with a murderous glint in his eyes and proceeded to cut down the unarmed bugs below the battle then you’d have an accurate comparison on your hands and I’d be appalled right there with you.
But, as it stands this is not the same thing...not even close.
4. The Jedi sent children to war:
So, this is a tougher one and I can even understand the concerns behind it, and I even share some of those concerns. The thing I will say to this is, given what we see throughout Star Wars, what constitutes a “child” seems to be different than our own real world definition.
Padme, for example, was 14 when she was elected Queen, and she wasn’t even the youngest ever elected. She (and her handmaids) were trained as children to defend themselves and their people both politically and in battle (much like Jedi), but you don’t hear people condemning the people/traditions of Naboo the way we see the Jedi being condemned for theirs.
Jedi children arguably mature faster than your standard person, and with regards to Star Wars there are also species’ age ranges to keep in mind. Grogu for example is still a baby at age 50, could it be possible that Ahsoka at age 14 is on the same maturity level as a human in their early twenties due to her Togruta DNA?? We don’t know, it’s never stated other than Anakin saying something about because of her advanced skills he forgets how young she is.
Obviously Boba Fett is treated like an adult by other Bounty Hunters - no one even questions when he picks up a job and is placed in charge of a group at age 12 or 13 (and he is placed in an adult prison without anyone questioning it). It could be that by law according to Star Wars that 13 is actually considered an adult. Throughout history (and in many different cultures) 13 was when people were considered to be “coming of age”, So, once again we’re placing our cultural biases onto a fictional space fantasy world without realizing it might not even be an issue in that world.
But even beyond all of that I ask you again - what else should the Jedi have done?
Their young Padawans would eventually have to grow into Jedi Knights, even before the war by the time they are teenagers they usually followed their Masters on missions (often very dangerous missions) in order to get real world experience. At the time of the Clone Wars the real world they were living in was one at war. If they hadn’t brought their Padawans onto the battlefield how else would they have learned how to strategize, or how to cope with the emotions of battle? They would’ve been ill prepared if the war had continued on for years and years as it had looked like it was going to do...once again, the Jedi had no real choice in this.
5. The Jedi lost their way because of the war:
Did they though?? I’d argue they actually didn’t. We first have to ask ourselves what is a Jedi - well, according to the very first time we hear any type of a description about a Jedi they are introduced as the “Guardians of Peace and Justice for the Republic” I don’t see how the war took that away from them.
The Oxford definition of Guardian is a defender, protector, or keeper. I fail to see how the Jedi stopped being any of these things because of the war.
Here’s the bottom line, the Jedi’s biggest mistake was that they fell for a plot 1,000 years in the making. The Sith spent over a millenia perfecting/hatching this plan, there was nothing the Jedi could’ve done to prevent the war by the time the trap was sprung. As always, I’m not saying the Jedi were perfect (I hate that I have to always specify that when I argue that the Jedi were good), all I’m saying is they tried to do the most good that they could with the situation they fell into - few groups/characters can claim the same thing.
Everyone seems to forget that the Sith controlled BOTH SIDES to that war, there was nothing - absolutely NOTHING the Jedi could’ve done that would’ve changed or won that war. So, instead they saved as many innocent lives as they could and to me, that’s very Jedi.

In this new year, may this city develop even further. May everyone achieve freedom of time and financial freedom soon. Wishing to become wealthy overnight isn’t very practical. Even so, may everyone receive many red packets, and accumulate your first bucket of wealth this year. If you’ve passed the age of receiving red packets, may you seize every good opportunity in the future, and no longer hesitate.

Lucien: Happy New Year. I’m Lucien. Time seems to enjoy pushing us forward. Without realising it, the Spring Festival has arrived once again. Firstly, I’d like to wish everyone a Happy Spring Festival. Secondly, I hope that everyone can leave their troubles in the past year, and look forward to the unknown future.
