i came across this little shack today. I took some screenshots, got what i could take and left but when i thought back on it i realized; there’s gotta be more to it. The whole room is so detailed with paintings, poems and other texts and a creepy mirror.

Most of the paintings were of a stag that looked a lot like the one you see in Arthur’s dreams/visions throughout the game. Also of an eagle (i think it is an eagle) and i guess that would be the eagle that flies around Arthur’s grave. + he also appears in the dreams sometimes.

So i went on the internet to see what can be found about it. And i think i have found my favorite place to discover in the whole entire game—

so apparently, this place changes depending on the honor you’re playing with.

High Honor: stag and eagle paintings.

Low Honor would have: wolf and vulture paintings.

On a side table you can find a short poem about the one and only Jimmy Brooks. This also changes but now it depends on the choice you made for him at the beginning of the game. Save him or kill him. In this play through, I saved him. This is the poem that will appear if you saved him:

There was a man called Jimmy Brooks, Who was always running into crooks, Till one chased him down, And he had to talk his way round, That Jimmy isn’t as dumb as he looks.

If you killed him, it would say:

There was a man called Jimmy Brooks, Who was always running into crooks, But the man from the ferry, Found him far too contrary, Now Jimmy’s family don’t see him very much.

It seems like this little house is vaguely telling the story that we’re playing, portrayed by art and texts, carved into the walls and tables. It knows the whole story.

now HERE it becomes even more interesting.

Remember The Strange Man from RDR1? Well, he returned in RDR2.

The painting in the middle of this screenshot ^ changes every time you come back. (With some in-game days in between of course). It get’s more detailed and you can start to see a face. After a few times, the face of The Strange Man from RDR1 will appear on the canvas and you know what’s like the creepiest thing ever??? If you turn to look into the mirror, you can see him stand behind you. But if you’ll turn around to face him, he’ll be gone. so, WHICH MEANS, obviously, that everything going on in that room is his doing.

He knows about Arthur, he knows about John, of course. He knows what’s going to happen, he just knows everything and he’s so creepy and mysterious and I LOVE IT. I LOVE that they brought this back in red dead 2.

Honestly, there’s probably way more to discover and tell about this so feel free to add! It just surprises me that I’ve never found it in previous playthroughs. i really love the whole thing, it’s so entertaining and interesting to think about aaaaaaaa
