Request tony and peter having one year anniversary sex of dating and being official couple. Tony proposed to Peter! Pls write that 😍
Hey! Hope this is okay, I’ve been pretty busy lol! <3 enjoy!!!!
Today officially marks one year since Peter and Tony became boyfriends.
Tony had decided, earlier that week to cancel all of the plans he had and made sure his lover was available as well. He wanted to make sure it was somewhere special to both of them, because of course, he had something more up his sleeve.
He’s Tony Stark, what did you expect?
He was going to propose to the younger boy, and legally make him his.
It may seem early in the relationship but as far as they’re both concerned, they’ve been in love since they both saw each other the first time, in that small apartment in Queens.
Peter was ecstatic, Tony had offered to take them to see the beauty of Leipzig, Germany when there are no battles or disagreements to be fought over. To be fair, Peter didn't care where Tony wanted to take them. As long as they were together.
When they're in the hotel, Peter can't stop looking everywhere. He's holding onto Tony's hand while he observes the settings. Turning everywhere with his jaw dropped, Tony smiles at how joyful he looks.
Peter grins, "Tony! This is like the most perfect place ever! Besides the lab. It's beautiful." He says and smiles widely at his lover.
Tony smiles, brown eyes filled with love and adoration. He stares down at Peter, "Mm. It is, isn't it?" Peter blushes and looks down to the glossy floor with a huge smile on his face.
"The rooms are already ready. Let's get dressed. I have a surprise for you." Tony says, lifting the hand that is entwined in his, and placing a kiss on Peter's hand.
As they walk to their room, Peter keeps rambling and says stuff along the lines of ‘A suprise? This is great’ and ‘OhmygodOhmygod.’
As Peter and Tony enter their hotel room, Peter's eyes widen in awe at the sight before him. The room is bathed in soft, golden light streaming in from the large windows, casting a warm glow over the elegant furnishings. "Wow," Peter breathes, his voice filled with wonder as he takes in the luxurious surroundings. "Tony, this is incredible." Tony smiles, watching Peter's reaction with fondness.
"I'm glad you like it, Pete. I wanted our anniversary to be special."
Peter walks further into the room, his gaze moving from the plush king-sized bed to the sparkling chandelier overhead. He runs his fingers lightly over the silky duvet, marveling at the attention to detail. "It's like something out of a dream," Peter says, turning to face Tony with a wide grin. "Thank you."Tony steps closer, wrapping his arms around Peter from behind. "You deserve the world, Peter. And I'll do everything in my power to give it to you."Peter leans back into Tony's embrace, “Now, we should get ready. We have a reservation at Schaarschmidts.” Tony winks.
Peter tilts his head at the name and looks confused at the man, wondering if he just spoke English or not.
Tony leans down to press a kiss on Peter’s forehead before walking away to head to one of the two bathrooms in their room.
Peter quickly follows suit and heads to the other bathroom, finding his designer suit hanging up, that fits him in all the right places. He was grateful for Tony’s credit card. Just not as much as he was grateful for the wonderful man he can say he’s happily in love with.
Stepping into the shower to wash himself off from the flight, he gets an idea. He can tell this night is going to end in the sheets, so he wants to surprise Tony.
Peter opens himself thoroughly in the shower, angling away from that pleasurable spot in his ass to wait for his lover later.
He thrusts two fingers in his ass, scissoring and spreading himself so Tony can slide in easily.
Feeling that he’s open enough, he finishes washing his body and hair, turning off the warm water and stepping out.
Peter dries off, wrapping a towel around his waist as he locates a blow dryer.
Quickly styling his hair, he gets dressed in his dark green suit that looks perfect on him. Fixing his sleeves in the mirror, he observes himself as he thinks.
He locates his toiletries bag and pulls out some very smoothing chapstick and sprays on some perfume.
Peter smiles at his appearance and runs his hands through his hair once more, walking out of the bathroom, to find Tony on the bed putting on a watch.
Tony looks amazing. As he always does, but tonight he's everything and more. Tony obviously thinks the same when he looks up from his wrist and observes the younger. Tony quickly stands up.
"God, Peter." "You look amazing, Tony." They both say at the same time and Peter blushes while Tony grins.
Tony steps forward to place a palm against Peter's cheek. He guides him to look from the ground, into his eyes. Tony speaks, "You are gorgeous, honey,"
Peter smiles and tries to tilt his head back down but Tony still wants him to look at the older.
Tony leans down slowly, tipping Peter's head up as his lips press against the thinner ones of Peter.
Peter kisses back, slowly moving his lips with Tony. Tony kisses once more before moving back.
He grins at how pink Peter has gotten. “We’re gonna be late. Let’s continue this later?” Tony asks hopefully.
Peter nods quickly.
They walk out of the room, side by side as Tony guides Peter with a hand on his lower back, gently rubbing his thumb to ease his nerves.
As Tony and Peter arrive at Schaarschmidts, the elegant facade of the restaurant bathed in soft golden light greets them. Tony offers Peter his arm, and they walk together, their steps synchronized with a shared sense of anticipation.
The waiter greets them warmly as they enter, leading them to a secluded table adorned with flickering candlelight and a bouquet of roses. Peter's eyes widen in awe at the romantic setting, his heart pounding with excitement.
"This is amazing, Tony," Peter whispers, his voice filled with wonder. Tony smiles, his gaze filled with affection as he pulls out a chair for Peter.
"Only the best for you, Pete."
As they settle into their seats, their conversation flows effortlessly, laughter punctuating the air as they reminisce about the past year and dream about the future.
Midway through their meal, Tony's demeanor shifts slightly, his expression becoming more serious. He reaches into his pocket, fingers closing around the small velvet box hidden within. "Peter," Tony begins, his voice soft but determined.
Peter can hear how his heartbeat increases. Peter furrows his brows and tenses up.
“I’m so glad to have you in my life. You’ve changed me for the better, seriously. You’re incredibly special, kind and generous, so different from me, but I see myself in you in so many different ways, kid. I told you a year ago, you were it for me, and I’m serious. I don’t want anyone else but you, and I hope the feelings mutual.” Tony laughs out.
Peter’s eyes widen in surprise as Tony stands and gets down on one knee beside the table. The almost empty restaurant going quiet as they observe the display of love.
Tony takes the ring out his pocket and opens the box. If you looked closely, it had the same blue glow that Tony’s arc reactor gave off. Peter had stated one day that if he could carry that technology with him everywhere, he would.
Holding the ring up, Tony speaks as Peter is already tearing up.
“I know you might want to wait until you graduate college next year, but I’ll wait. As long as you want. So, Peter Parker, will you do me the honor of putting up with me for as long as you can handle?” Tony breathes out, feeling tears threaten his eyes. Peter’s just a waterfall at this point.
Peter covers his mouth with his palm for a second before nodding so fast he might get whiplash.
“T-Tony, Oh my g-god. Yes! Yes!” Peter replies loudly, perhaps too loud.
Tony sniffles and shoots up, tackling his boy into a kiss. Peter presses his lips back tenderly. It’s a soft and lingering kiss, filled with passion and most likely, the promise of forever.
His arms wrap around Peter’s waist, pulling him closer. Their lips seem to move at the right pace, enveloping each other.
Peter leans back from the kiss first, gazing into Tony’s eyes with a goofy smile, “I want to be with you forever. I love you so much, Tony.”
Tony tilts his head as he feels a tear drop. Tony smiles softly, filled with nothing but love as he responds, “I love you so much more.”
“Let’s get out of here, please?” Peter asks.
When they arrive back to the hotel room, Tony doesn’t have time to shut the door behind him, because as soon as they enter, Peter is pressing him against it and taking his lips into a deep kiss.
Tony moans into the kiss and kisses back, slipping his tongue through the passage. Tony slides a free hand to Peter’s curls, holding the back of his head as he devours his mouth.
Peter is quickly removing his clothes as he kisses back with intent. Tony steps back from the kiss, not without a protest from Peter and removes his shoes and suit jacket. He drags Peter over to the bed, instantly attacking his neck with sucks and kisses, helping Peter undress with unbuttoning his shirt.
Laying Peter down on the bed, he kisses his way down his body, sucking a hickey above his waistline. Peter moans at the sensation of Tony’s goatee against his skin and hitches up his hips to get more.
Tony pushes his hips down gently and grins, “Calm down, baby. I’ll take care of you.” Tony says and unzips Peter’s trousers, wasting no time.
Peter helps Tony by kicking his pants off, and slightly lifting his legs.
“I opened myself up for you.” Peter says while blushing. Tony groans at imagining the sight of his boy preparing himself just for him.
Tony kisses Peter’s smooth thigh that’s next to his head, trailing them up to the place Peter wants his mouth the most. Tony places a ghosting kiss to his length and Peter whimpers at the very light touch.
He doesn't waste anymore time, taking the tip into his mouth. Peter gasps at the feeling of the wet heat that he loves so much and moves his hips up. Tony moans, moving his head down slowly, swallowing Peter inch by inch.
Peter moans in pleasure and reaches a hand out to Tony's head, threading his fingers through his soft, short hair.
"Oh- T-Tony!" He whimpers.
Tony bobs his head faster, and Peter moans louder, feeling himself come close almost immediately.
Tony continues with his movements, rubbing his thumb against Peter’s thigh in a soothing manner, removing it and running his hand over Peter’s tight balls. Making him tipple over to the edge.
“Oh-Fuck! Tony, I-I’m gonna—“ Peter doesn’t get to finish his sentence, he’s seeing stars behind his closed eyes and cumming into his lovers mouth.
Peter breathes heavily while Tony continues to suck him through his orgasm.
Tony swallows it all, sucking his length clean and pulling up. Tony leans up and observes Peter who already looks fucked out. He hasn’t even put his dick in him yet.
Tony leans over Peter and gives him a deep kiss to his slightly parted lips, Peter almost instantly kissing back.
Tony pulls back to lie his head close to Peter’s ear. He speaks huskily, “You taste so good. Still ok?” Peter quickly nods. He bites his lip and spreads his legs for easy access.
“Please, fuck me.” Peter says, his voice low and soft, wanting his lover to completely fill him up.
Tony smiles and kisses his flushed cheek. He reaches over and grabs the bottle of lube he put out before they left and coats his length with the substance.
He positions his tip for the pink hole, gently pushing in. Even with prep, Peter is always tight. He pauses, waiting for him to adjust, then slowly pushes in the rest of the way, bottoming out inside the tight and warm heat.
"Tony..." Peter moans softly, his eyelids fluttering as he adjusts to the stretch, loving the feeling. He could never get enough of this.
Tony begins to slightly move his hips. “How does it feel, baby?”
“It’s so good…please move.” Peter whimpers, tangling a hand into the bed comforter.
Tony smiles and begins moving his hips, thrusting in and out slowly. Peter wraps his legs around Tony's waist, pulling him closer.
Tony's movements grow more confident, and his thrusts become harder and deeper.
Peter moans, his fingers grasping at the sheets.
"Fuck, you feel amazing." Tony groans, his voice husky with desire.
Peter gasps, his eyes wide with arousal and pleasure.
"F-faster, Tony, please." He whimpers.
Tony quickens his pace, his movements becoming more erratic as his release builds.
Peter's back arches as Tony hits his prostate, his body shuddering with pleasure.
"Right there!"
Tony aims for that spot again and again, hitting it every time. Peter cries out, his eyes screwed shut as he writhes in pleasure.
"Oh god, I'm so close." Peter moans, his body trembling as his orgasm builds. Tony increases the pace, his hips slapping against Peter's ass.
Peter clenches around Tony's cock, and his body shakes with the intensity of his release, releasing short spurts of cum out of his again-hardened cock.
“Tony!”
Tony groans, feeling his own release take over. He cums into the tight warmth and slows his thrusts as he pushes himself through it.
He collapses beside Peter, both of them breathing heavily.
Tony looks over to Peter, who’s sliding over to lay on his fiancés chest. Tony leans, to lay a kiss on his slightly sweaty forehead. “I love you. You’re the best person I’ve ever known, Pete.” Tony whispers into his curls, never thinking his love for his protege would take off. And now look where they are.
Peter lifts his head up and smiles softly, “You’re all I’ve ever wanted, Tony. I love you too.”
If they spent the rest of their night fucking and making love like animals in mating season, that was entirely up to them.

Dobry wieczór. Since it’s International Women’s Day (albeit not strictly), tonight I would like to draw my followers’ attention to the female pianists and composers who were my contemporaries… Apologies for the lengthiness, evidently there is a lot to be covered.
Clara Schumann 1819-1896
youtube
A child prodigy, Clara was taught piano by her father and by thirteen he was taking her on concert tours.
She met Robert Schumann as a child when he came to Leipzig to study law at the university. He took piano lessons from Clara’s father, Friedrich Wieck. When she was 18, he proposed to her. They married in 1840.
The virtuoso went on tours with her husband and earn money by performing and teaching. She was also a gifted composer, however most of her time was spent looking after her family, editing Robert’s music and playing. Clara’s compositions include more than 20 piano works, a piano concerto, some chamber music and several songs.
Fanny Mendelssohn 1805–1847
youtube
Composer and pianist, Fanny grew up in Berlin, sharing the same musical education as her brother Felix, with whom she had a close relationship.
Her compositions include a piano trio, a piano quartet, an orchestral overture, four cantatas, more than 125 pieces for the piano and over 250 lieder, most of which were unpublished in her lifetime. Although lauded for her piano technique, she rarely gave public performances outside her family circle.
Owing to her family's reservations and to social conventions of the time about the roles of women, six of her songs were published under her brother's name in his Opus 8 and 9 collections.
Marie Moke 1811-1874
Tumblr media
Marie Moke gave her first concert at the age of eight and by the age of fifteen, she was already known in Belgium, Austria, Germany and Russia as an accomplished virtuoso.
She married pianist and piano manufacturer, Camille Pleyel, but they later separated on account of her promiscuity. Heinrich Heine considered her among the greatest pianists “Thalberg is a king, Liszt a prophet, Chopin a poet, Herz an advocate, Kalkbrenner a minstrel, Mme Pleyel a sibyl, and Döhler a pianist.”
Later on, she created the piano school at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels where she taught from 1848 to 1872.
Louise Farrenc 1804-1875
youtube
A French composer, virtuoso pianist and teacher, she started playing young and had piano lessons with famous teachers such as Moscheles and Hummel. She studied composition privately with Anton Reicha at the Paris Conservatoire, unable to go to composition classes as a woman. By the 1820s she was touring France, giving concerts.
In 1842 she was made Professor of Piano at the Paris Conservatoire where she stayed for 30 years. For a decade she was paid less than the male teachers. Only after the triumphant premiere of her nonet did she demand and receive equal pay. She wrote a wide variety of piano music, but her chamber pieces are considered to be her best work.
Pauline Viardot 1821-1910
Tumblr media
From a musical family (including her older sister, Maria Malibran) Pauline was trained by her father on the piano and in singing.
In her youth she took piano lessons with Franz Liszt and counterpoint and harmony classes with Anton Reicha. However, despite wanting to become a concert pianist, she was directed towards singing by her mother.
Pauline began composing when she was young, but it was never her intention to become a composer. Written mainly as private pieces for her students, her works were still of professional quality and Franz Liszt declared that, with Pauline Viardot, the world had finally found a woman composer of genius. Compositions include her chamber operas Le dernier sorcier and Cendrillon.
Arabella Goddard 1836–1922
Tumblr media
Born in France to English parents, at age six Arabella was sent to Paris to study with Friedrich Kalkbrenner. Aged seven she played for myself and George much to our pleasure.
During the 1848 Revolution her family had to return to England; there, Arabella had further lessons with Lucy Anderson and Sigismond Thalberg. She was known for her ability to play recitals from memory.
Arabella was appointed a teacher at the Royal College of Music in 1883. This was the RCM’s first year of operation and Arabella was its first female professor. She composed a small number of piano pieces, including a suite of six waltzes.
Marcelina Czartoryska 1817-1894
Tumblr media
Born into the aristocratic Polish family, the Radziwiłłs, Marcelina was taught piano by Carl Czerny in Vienna and by myself in Paris. She gave concerts across Europe, with Franz Liszt, Pauline Viardot and Henri Vieuxtemps.
From 1870 she lived in Kraków, where she gave mainly private concerts and, thanks to her artistic connections, contributed to founding Kraków’s Academy of Music in 1888.
Maria Kalergis 1822-1874
Tumblr media
Raised in Saint Petersburg in the home of her paternal uncle, the Tsar's minister of foreign affairs, Maria received a thorough education where she evinced an early musical talent.
She was a student of mine and held salons in Paris whose guests included Liszt, Richard Wagner, de Musset, Gautier and Heine. Later, she became a hostess and a patron of the arts in Warsaw.
She was a co-founder of the Warsaw Musical Institute, now the Warsaw Conservatory and established the Warsaw Musical Society, now the Warsaw Philharmonic. Between 1857 and 1871 she made frequent appearances as a pianist.
On her death, Franz Liszt wrote his Elegy on Marie Kalergi.

On 17th March 1565, Alexander Ales (also known as Alesius and Aless), theologian and reformer, died.
Alesius played an important role linking the Reformations of Scotland, with Germany, and England. He is believed to have been planning to translate Luther’s German Bible into Scots, but it’s more likely that he intended to use the original Greek and Hebrew manuscripts which Luther himself had used. These were dangerous times in Scotland, the reformation was just kicking off Patrick Hamilton, a friend of Ales was burnt at the stake for heresy, he himself was tried in his absence and also found guilty of heresy, by this time he had fled it is said to have been the first Scot to meet Jean Calvin, Calvin and Ales were both refugees in Germany at the time.
He also spent time in England he was occasionally referred to as Alexander Alesius, Scotus, Doctor Theologiae, Henry VIII had broke with the church of Rome, I found a short snippet on a page about Anne Boleyn, Alexander was visiting the English court at Greenwich Palace, there he witnessed Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn had an argument. He couldn’t hear what it was about but it was clear to him that the King was angry.
Six weeks later the Queen lost her head!
After a time teaching at Cambridge he ended up back in Germany where in Leipzig he passed the remainder of his days in peace and honour, and was twice elected Rector of the University there.

The Battle of Leipzig, October, 1813
By mid-October, Napoleon gathered all his forces near Leipzig, where on the 16th the started a battle that would later be called the Battle of the Nations .
Tumblr media
Jan Czesław Moniuszko, Prince Józef at Leipzig
Commanding the Poles incorporated into the Grand Army as the 8th Corps, Prince Joseph defended the village of Markkleeberg south of the city. As he reported to Napoleon, on the 16th
"the enemy did not gain an inch of ground […] the army showed admirable zeal and endurance […] but I lost 1/3 of my men and I have no ammunition."
And on that very day, the 16th of October, the Emperor appointed Prince Poniatowski a Marshal of France, with the official nomination taking place a day later.
Tumblr media
Prince Józef Poniatowski being presented the marshals baton, Reville's engraving after Martinet
As diarists recall, prince Józef received both the news about the nomination and the announcement that followed quite calmly, or even indifferently. However, he considered that moment not appropriate to insult the emperor with a refusal. So first Poniatowski asked consent of Frederick Augustus, King of Saxony and Duke of Warsaw, to accept the nomination. Then he hastened assure his subordinates that
"whatever happens he would never replace the Polish uniform with another one."
Also anticipating that the news of his new appointment might not receive support in Warsaw, prince Józef asked Tomasz Ostrowski
"to send to the capital as early as possible, by a known means, an explanation of the circumstances and an assurance everyone that if there is no war for Poland, no one will see him wearing anything but a civilian clothes".
Together with this, however, Poniatowski promised that in any case he would have to escort Napoleon to France. As for the global situation, the 17th of October was a day of rest and re-ranking of troops for both the Frenchmen and the Coalition , thus there was almost no fighting then.
Tumblr media
Polish infantry fighting at Connewitz-Probstheida, a drawing by Raffet
On October 18, Prince Joseph was defending Probstheida, a village southeast of Leipzig. But that day the fighting was even more fierce than before. The French troops held their positions, but by the end of the day they were exhausted and depleted as a result of the intensifying attacks of the Allies, who, in addition, had on the previous day received reinforcements in the form of General Bennigsen's Czech Army and the Army of the North commaded by Bernadotte. Considering all this, that evening Napoleon considered the battle a lost cause. So, he then began organizing the retreat. The corps of General Reynier, Marshal Macdonald and Prince Poniatowski were to defense the rear guard of the French. They were to hold the city of Leipzig for 24 hours for the Grande Armée to gain as much time as possible.
Tumblr media
Napoleon resigns after the Battle of Leipzig, From a painting by Ludwik Braun
Having arrived in Leipzig at nine o'clock in the evening, Napoleon stayed at the hotel "At the Prussian king", where he asked Prince Józef to come. They then had, according to Baron Agathon Fain's account, the following conversation:
- Prince, you will defend the southern suburbs. – Sire! I have very few men, most of my corps have, following Prince Berthier's orders, crossed the Elsther at night. - How many Poles are there with you? - My usual escort, i.e. two hundred of the Krakuses, the same number of cuirassiers, staff and several cavalry units, in total about eight hundred people. - Well, this will be the way for you to defend the southern suburbs and cover the retreat of the army with the Prince of Tarentum… For 800 Poles are worth 8,000 other soldiers. - Your Majesty can trust us, we will cover the retreat, even if every one of us dies!
These were the last words the prince addressed to the emperor. After saying goodbye he looked "preoccupied and sad". What's more, that meeting was probably the last time Poniatowski and Napoleon seeing each other...
Tumblr media
January Suchodolski, Napoleon and Józef Antoni Poniatowski at the Battle of Leipzig
On the morning of the last day of the battle, Polish troops were defending a section of the southern suburbs near the Peters Thor gate. Moreover, that time they had not only to fight the enemy, but also there intensified clashes with the locals, who were shooting at the retreating units from the windows.
Tumblr media
Author Unknown, Prince Józef Poniatowski during the Battle of Leipzig
At about 11:00 Prince Józef found it impossible to conduct further defensive operations in this place and ordered a retreat. The Poles moved along the esplanade, where, near the Wasserkunst fountain, they fight the enemy in an organized manner for the last time.
Tumblr media
Jan Chełmiński, Prince Józef Poniatowski at the head of the troops at Leipzig
During that skirmish Poniatowski was probably wounded (probably not first time). As Klemens Kołaczkowski recalled:
He received a wound in the hand from a rifle bullet; he ordered it to be treated, got back on the horse and, holding his hand on a scarf, he did not stop fighting.
Then the Poles, having left the city walls, were looking for a crossing. The first on their way was the Pleisse River, deprived of all bridges on Napoleon's orders. Kołaczkowski:
Prince Poniatowski <…> was exposed to the fire of enemy tirailleurs, in dense troops approaching from all sides. General Bronikowski, standing next to the prince, advised him to seek salvation by swimming. But the prince answered him quickly: "One must die bravely!" (Il faut mourir en brave - AS) He ordered the rest of the escort to attack enemy tirailleurs one more time, but that managed to stop their advance only for a moment. There was not a single moment to lose! In this last resort, the prince finally followed the opinion of the officers surrounding him, mounted his horse and jumped into the river with him!
Tumblr media
Jan Bogumił Plersch, Prince Poniatowski crossing Pleisse
The water was flooding the banks high up; the horse, carried away by its momentum, could not reach the shore. At this sight, captain Blechamps from the staff rushes after the prince, helps him swim and get to the opposite shore.
But there was one more river to cross – the Elster. Which had also been devoid of all its bridges except one. But even that one was earlier that day blown up by mistake when a significant part of the French were still on the other bank.
Tumblr media
Retreat of the French from Leipzig, October 1813, an English engraving
What's more, in German Elster means "magpie". And according to legend, a gypsy woman once told Prince Joseph that he would die because of a magpie. And that's how it happened.
Tumblr media
Tadeusz Korpal, Prince Poniatowski at Leipzig
Kołaczkowski:
The prince was walking on foot through the gardens lying between Elster and Pleisse: here, he was shot in the side by a rifle bullet for the second time and fell into the arms of the officers surrounding him. However, he soon regained consciousness and, with the help of his adjutant, mounted his horse with difficulty, swaying in the saddle. The Poles started to appeal to him to take care of himself and, handing over his command to another general, to preserve himself for the homeland. But the prince's courage seemed to increase with danger. "No! no!" he shouted "God has entrusted me with the honor of the Poles, I will only give it to God". The engineer's officer comes running and points to the most convenient place to cross; the prince, walking along the river bank, heads in that direction; but when he notices the enemy unit blocking his path, he shouts loudly: "There they are!" He turns his horse and rushes to Elster. Weakened by his wounds, he can no longer steer his horse, but the beast can only follow the current and cannot climb the high, precipitous shore. All this happened under a hail of bullets. At that final moment, the prince receives his third wound, slips from his horse and, carried away by the rush of the water, begins to sink. The good Blechamps comes to the aid again. In noble zeal, he throws himself into the river and grasps the prince. He was seen holding his arms and trying to lift the prince's head above the water, but the efforts of this noble man were in vain. They both disappeared forever in the currents of the treacherous river! Such was the death of a Polish hero, a beloved leader who preferred death to ignominious captivity.
Tumblr media
Prince Poniatowski at Leipzig (enlarged)
According to another legend, at Leipzig prince Józef was to see the notorious White Lady of the Poniatowskis for the last time.

Hello again! It's the same overly talkative anon from the last ask lol
I wanted to talk more about the social media thing, which it sounds like you have a lot to talk about too! I didn't follow Dom when he was at Leipzig but I'm going to go out on a limb and assume the spotlight and reaction to him on social media was not as big as it now but I know he's like the king of Hungary (in a good way) anyway I say that because when it comes to the prem the fans and media are a lot less forgiving and love to put players in a box.
For instance Dom is very handsome (as are a lot players in Liverpool) but he's gotten labeled as the pretty boy who cares more about his hair than he does about his performances which is silly because every player cares about their outward appearance that's why they get haircuts and tattoos and etc. It's kind of similar with people screaming from the rooftops that Trent can't defend if he makes one missed tackle.
Anyway I think if Dom was less attractive or less confident people would stop raging about him loving the camera, if anything it's just a reaction to how good he looks on camera. Personally I already know he has a nice face and I still get caught off guard when he pops up on the TV, bless the dinosaurs that made the fuel to bring his parents together 🤣
Hii! 🫶🏼
Apologies for the late answer! I started writing a whole ass novell to you, then lost internet connection and I lost everything. But maybe it's for the better, because I was borderline psychoanalysing people lol. 😭
I admit, I couldn't really stomach following RB Leipzig just for him lol, I only started paying more attention to them (well Domi, and they came with him) after Marco Rose became their manager - I really like that man - so, I don't know tbh how he was perceived by their fans or even in the media really. What's evident is that he was a favourite of the social media team, judging by their insta haha. In Hungary, it's very hit or miss. He is either perceived as basically the Chosen One from the Footy Gods, or very harshly, unfairly criticised hated on for everything. There are a surprising amount of miserable people who are hoping that he will flop hard as a rock in Liverpool, but then again, he is still much more beloved, especially ever since he became the captain. Our sports media, hmm, let's just say, very amateur, and because Dominik is our most successful player he gets his ass kissed ever since he signed for Liverpool. The thing is with that however, is that they try to frame it more like a Hungarian success story, rather than the success story of Dominik, if that makes sense. So it's not really about the persona of Dominik, but rather the Hungarian who did something that not many could in the last few decades. Or at least that's how I see it overall.
However, all this vain, egoistical gimmick is not something that has been present in his usual criticism until recently. I mean it makes sense, the media needs characters, easily noticeable one or two traits they can give to players to sell the stories and the narrative better, and let's be honest, Dominik is a very easy target for that. For one, yes, that he is objectively a handsome man, but what I think is even more important is the way he carries himself. I think he is not someone, who will 'bow down' if that makes sense, he has a strong personality, a strong trust and sense of himself and his abilities, and he is very honest about that. The media loves underdog stories, especially for people like Dominik, but it's very evident that he doesn't lean into that. Even in Hungary, he asked the journalists multiple times, to stop listening to all his achievements, calling him the nt's best player, trying to sell the story of the 'poor hungarian lad who somehow did the unthinkable'. He seemed pretty rejective towards these underdog PR questions they tried to do with him in the start, which honestly from a straight PR point turned out to be a mistake for him, for sure hahah. But I can respect the dedication to be true to his morals and character, rather than playing the well-crafted PR character.
This turned out into me, rumbling I'm so sorry. I truly can talk a lot. 😭😭 Please, don't be shy to do the same, I absolutely love reading all your options!! 💗

Hi, i have seen in one of your posts that once Napoleon intended to take Eugene's family hostage. Why was that? Their relationship is always potrayed as good so why would be plan to threaten his stepson. I always had a feeling that napoleon's relationship with his stepkids are not as amazing as potrayed
(Now look at me. Barely three weeks have passed, and I'm already getting back to you... I'm sorry. I suck.)
I've written a bit about this before, so with your permission, I will mostly summarize and link to older posts for the details.
For context: This happened in late February 1814, with allied forces invading both France (where Napoleon was) and Italy (that Eugène obstinately had refused to leave). But it goes back to autumn 1813, when German newspapers openly started to speculate about Napoleon's two "Italians" - Murat in Naples and Eugène in Milan - both abandonning Napoleon and joining the Allies.
To some degree, spreading such rumours surely was a deliberate political move, an attempt to sow distrust among the enemy. (And it worked. Hortense already wrote about offers being made to Eugène weeks before he actually received them...) But to some degree, they were based on facts. Murat really was negotiating with the Austrians and would come to an agreement with them. And after the Battle of Leipzig in October 1813, Eugène's father in law King Max of Bavaria had spoken very much in favour of his son-in-law and tried to score a few points for him with the Allies. Resulting in the offer made to Eugène in November 1813 ("leave Napoleon, get a crown!") that Eugène, however, refused.
But the distrust in the French camp seems to have been very real. In some aspects, Eugène may have looked like the most likely candidate to leave Napoleon's side:
Napoleon had dumped Josephine.
Napoleon had broken his promise to make Eugène the heir to the Kingdom of Italy.
Eugène had been very irritated about the way Napoleon critisized his actions in Germany in spring 1813.
Eugène was related to one of the monarchs in the Allied camp, even best buddies with his father-in-law, and likely to be received well among the Allies, probably better than Murat.
So when Eugène did not immediately follow Napoleon's order to evacuate Italy (no matter his reasons), Napoleon already felt the need to bring out the heavy emotional artillery: Both Josephine and Hortense were told to write to Eugène and to tell him to obey to this order (an order that neither of the two ladies had any knowledge of, by the way). This in turn wounded Eugène deeply; he felt that, while he was doing everything in his power to help Napoleon, and refusing very real advantages offered to him for the sake of loyalty, he met with nothing but distrust and ingratitude.
So, Napoleon in Paris thought: "The boy is up to something down there in Milan, he's going his own ways, I cannot control him as I would love to." And Eugène in Milan thought: "The Emperor is ungrateful, and no matter what I do and how often I prove my loyalty to him, he will never believe me, let alone thank me for anything I do."
Let's add that Auguste, Eugène's beloved wife, was pregnant again. And briefly after the letters Josephine and Hortense had written to him, that he clearly saw as a sign of Napoleon's distrust, Eugène received the following missive from his Imperial stepfather:
Napoleon to Eugène. Château de Surville close to Montereau. February 19, 1814 My son, the vice queen must immediately go to Paris for her delivery; my intention being that under no circumstances she should remain in a country occupied by the enemy: therefore, make her leave immediately. [...]
Frankly, when I read that order in the course of Eugène's correspondence, right after the incidents explained above, my first understanding was precisely like theirs: that Napoleon wanted to get a hold of Auguste and the children, in order to assure Eugène's obedience.
If that really was Napoleon's intention? I do not know. Quite possibly not. He was always telling women to come to Paris in order to have their babies. Josephine and Hortense had already asked if Auguste would leave endangered Italy and come to Paris. But such an explicit and abrupt order, in that tense situation, did indeed look like a threat. Plus, Eugène and Auguste may have had a bit of a bad conscience, too, as Eugène had contacted the Austrians and asked them to guarantee the personal security of his family in case something happened to him - and that was something he apparently had not told Napoleon about. Napoleon most likely had learned of it anyway.
Anyway, this resulted in an exasperated Auguste writing a letter to Napoleon, in which she finally allowed herself to let loose all her grievances against him, on behalf of herself and on behalf of her husband. I have quoted it in full in the course of this post. Here are some highlights:
Auguste to Napoleon. Milan, February 27, 1814. Sire, Eugène has just communicated to me the order given to him by Your Majesty: it surprised me greatly, for I did not expect that after all the proofs of attachment Eugène never ceases to give you, you would also demand of him to risk the health and even the life of his wife and children, the only asset and consolation he has in this world. If he does not speak on this occasion, it is for me to do so.
("If he doesn't speak up on this occasion" - insert a slightly annoyed "as usual" 😁.)
Without doubt I know his and my duties towards Your Majesty. We have demonstrated this to you often enough, and we have never failed to do so; our conduct is known to all; we do not resort to intrigue, and we have no other guides than honour and virtue. It is a sad fact that our reward has been nothing but sorrow and mortification [...] What have I done to deserve such a harsh order of departure? When I got married, I never thought that things would come to this. [...]
Remember all the bullshit you promised me in Munich in 1806? Well, I do!
In spite of this I will obey your orders, I will leave Milan if the enemies should come here; but my duty, my heart, makes it a law not to leave my husband, and, since you demand that I risk my health, I want at least to have the consolation of ending my days in the arms of the one who possesses all my tenderness and who makes all my happiness. Whatever his fate will be, I will share it, and it will always be worthy of envy, since we will be able to say to each other that we have deserved a happier one, and that we will have a conscience without reproach. [...]
Napoleon's reaction to this missive (and a similar from Eugène) seems genuinely confused (see the link above) - "What's up with you two? What have I done this time? All I said was: Come to Paris!" - so maybe he really never had the intention Auguste and Eugène read in this order.
But who knows. If there was ever a human who qualified as a "political animal", it was Napoleon.
I hope this is still of interest to you after all the time it took me to come up with this answer, and thank you once more for your interest in "the boy".

A happy story from your life.
The time my waifu and I proved we're the stupidest idiots in Europe. We travel a lot to see our favorite bands live but I live in Munich while she lives in Leipzig, so sometimes we just meet at our destination.
We went to Paris to see Bring Me The Horizon and took trains there. I had a connection in Mannheim and was keeping her updated.
"I'm about to get on the train in Mannheim."
"Cool, my train is just pulling up to Mannheim central station, we'll probably get there around the same time," she said.
"Awesome," I replied, still stupid. "I get there around 5pm."
"That's good," she said, also stupid. "We won't have to wait for each other, my train arrives in Paris at 16:55."
"Oh," I reply while waiting to stow my luggage. "We might be on the same train. That would be fate bringing me to thee, lady wife."
"Oh yeah," (note that we're still stupid) "I'm in carriage 17."
"Me too!" I'm trembling in excitement. "What seat?"
"75"
"I'm in seat 74, omggg!!"
Anyway, turns out we'd booked the tickets together about 8 months before and completely forgot that we reserved seats next to each other. It's been 2 years, we're still stupid.
A show or movie that you could rewatch forever.
X-Men: First Class. The soundtrack, the plot, the shots! I've watched it so many times.

Happy Birthday to...
Tumblr media
Sophie von der Pfalz, Electress of Hannover, and James VII and II, born on 14 October 1630 and 1633 respectively.
James and Sophie remained in lifelong contact, and the exiled James considered her one of his few allies.
...Little did he know that Sophie was close with both William and Mary, growing particularly fond of the latter in an almost maternal capacity.
Sophie- the woman who would almost have been Queen of England twice
Originally a candidate for marrying James' brother, the recently restored Charles II, the latter settled for Catherine of Braganza instead.
Rather than as consort, Sophie later would almost have become Queen in her own right when the Act of Settlement, implemented by William III, named her as heir presumptive to the crown.
When Sophie visited The Hague with her little niece Liselotte in the winter of 1659/1660, little did she know that one day, the nine-year-old William of Nassau who romped through the Binnenhof palace with her niece would become King of England, and declare her the heir presumptive to the throne. At the time, Sophie was heavily pregnant with her son Georg Ludwig, the future George I who became King of Great Britain when Queen Anne died in 1714. Sophie, alas, had predeceased the much younger Anne by a mere handful of weeks.
Sophie on her own birthday:
In 1680, the year she turned fifty, Sophie decided to write her own memoirs, including a description of her birth and early years. Here is what she had to say on the circumstances of her birth:
Tumblr media
Sophie, Electress of Hannover and Köcher, Adolf [Ed]: Memoiren der Herzogin Sophie nachmals Kurfürstin von Hannover, Leipzig 1879, p. 33.
They told me that I was born in the year 1630 on the 14th of October, and since I was the 12th fruit of the marriage of the King my father and the Queen my mother, I think that my birth did not cause them any other joy than that of my no longer occupying the place I previously did. They were even at a loss which name and which godparents one should give me, as all the kings and princes to be considered had already taken this trouble for the children who had preceded me. It had pleased them to put various names on slips of paper and to draw from them the name I was to receive, and chance gave me that of Sophie; and to choose godmothers for me who had that name, the King picked the Princess Palatine of Birkenfeld, Countess of Hohenlohe, the Countess of Cuylenburg and Madame de Brederode, Countess of Nassau, and as godfathers the states of Frisia.
Happy birthday, Sophie von Hannover! She may have been the 12th child of her parents, but she left us first-rate sources in the shape of her memoirs and parts of her correspondence, providing a window into 17th century life and politics.

Holger Badstuber column
Hello football fans!
The first title of the new season has already been awarded - and the winner is not FC Bayern München. In the 3-0 Super Cup defeat against RB Leipzig, everyone saw that FCB are still missing elements. It was not only a setback before the start of the Bundesliga next Friday, but an alarming setback.
Tumblr media
When you concede such a clear defeat in your own stadium, you must - as bitter as this realization is for coach Thomas Tuchel - go back to the basics first. And that means: defend, defend, defend and all together! For a long time now, Bayern's defensive work has looked increasingly sloppy, not carried out with the utmost consistency, and even sloppy at times. That includes the whole team, everyone has to do their part! After a rather disappointing season, FC Bayern are under even more pressure.
That's why I would advise them not to set the treble as their goal for the season. Winning the Champions League would be free skating, the focus should be on domestic titles.
Tumblr media
Harry Kane as FC Bayern's ace?
With Harry Kane, FC Bayern has a real asset. He is an asset for the Bundesliga, which has to fight against the reputation of becoming a training league for England and Spain - and of course for the club itself. An undisputed number nine like Kane has been missing since the departure of Robert Lewandowski.
Tumblr media
There is no doubt about his quality. He knows how to set up, score goals, of course, and he will fit in well because he is world class. When I think that Bayern are going to pay Tottenham over €100 million for a 30-year-old, I can only shake my head, it's crazy, but when I look at the current transfer market, the sums have shot up all over the place.
Kane is now the big hit, the king of signings, and I am also convinced that it will pay off. However, I also raise my finger in warning, remind them of the vacuum after Lewy and call on those in charge not to let the opportunity slip this time to find a suitable successor in time. It must be ready in three to four years: preparatory work must begin now.
Tumblr media
Defensive midfield needs strengthening
Kane is important, but the biggest construction site in the Bayern squad still exists. The width is definitely high quality. But: The six-man position in the defensive midfield is not defined clearly enough.
A true six-man is physically strong, tall, plays simply, wins duels, wins balls and is there when things are on fire. He takes "dirty" runs that others would be too shy for. I don't see Kimmich, Laimer, Goretzka or Gravenberch in this role. I'm thinking more of a player type like Casemiro, Rodri or a Busquets in top form. Or even someone like Javi Martinez in 2012/13 at Bayern. If this building site is not closed, there could be further problems. Even if Benjamin Pavard leaves or if there really is uncertainty at the goalkeeper position, reinforcements will be needed.
Tumblr media
What I would also like to see in terms of commitment is that ALL the values that FC Bayern have always stood for with their irrepressible winning mentality are also lived with conviction, that they embody them outwardly.
That would not only increase the chances of winning titles, but would also have the nice side effect of making the whole club a little more united again.
With this in mind: See you soon!

uefa champion league: 1/2 round of 16
Tumblr media
anonymous from tumblr asked who's going to win UCL this season?
since we aren't close to the league's finals, i've decided to ask round by round and leg by leg to see how accurate i can be!
Tumblr media
today, 13th february
copenhagen versus manchester city
overall vibe: judgement, the tower, 9 of wands, king of swords • 4 of pentacles rx
looking by the people's bets (i wouldn't say even predictions), i wouldn't be sure if manchester city will certainly win. i see 2 possibilities: 1) either 0-0 for a long time and someone will make a goal in the last minutes (possibly in the last minutes of the first half-time or in the match as a whole but if that doesn't happen, overtime can be possible, however i don't think there will be a one) and if not 0-0 then 1-1, 2-2, they might have tie for long time; 2) i do see some penalties such as yellow/red card or penalty kick/offside that will be impactful for the final result of the match.
fc copenhagen: the lovers, 7 of cups, 9 of swords rx, 4 of swords • the hermit
they will have chances to make a goal or even more, but won't see them. i do see the group being lazy, like on purpose and i am actually unsure if money is actually involved here. however, they'll succeed to make manchester city to not score as much as possible. i wouldn't say they'll do bad but they'll be just too relaxed.
manchester city: 5 of swords rx, wheel of fortune, 7 of swords rx, the high priestess • 9 of pentacles
so they.. i'd say they'll make the efforts to do in the best way possible. they could even exceed their personal expectations (regarding scoring goals, possibly copenhagen might be too hard for them). in the end, i do see them scoring.
who might win: queen of pentacles, 9 of wands, 4 of pentacles rx, the hermit • 3 of wands
honestly, i agree with these betters that manchester city win and copenhagen's tactic might actually work. i believe copenhagen will work on man city's favor
rb leipzig vs real madrid
overall view: knight of wands, page of swords, 6 of wands, the hanged man rx, ace of wands rx • king of cups
straight away, it looks like noone is interested in this match
rb leipzig: knight of cups, ace of pentacles, 6 of cups rx, knight of pentacles • ace of swords
will try to score as many goals in short time, they seemingly don't want to play with real madrid because for them, they are better but will try to do their best regardless
real madrid: king of pentacles rx, knight of swords rx, king of swords, 8 of wands • page of swords
them on the other hand, will have harder time, i think? they might reach goal/s later than expected. although seemingly they could, it'll be just harder
who might win: 6 of pentacles, the moon, the emperor, knight of cups rx, 6 of cups rx • ace of swords
either tie or leipzig will win. i don't feel "this was already expected" but unstable energy instead. either isn't certain who could win or leipzig out of sudden will have big luck, so i understand why the betters are divided, however it's not that likely that the luck is on real madrid's side.
tommorow, 14th february
psg versus real sociedad
overall view: 6 of cups rx, page of pentacles, knight of pentacles rx • the hierophant
the winner seems to be expected at this point (psg, i assume) and it feels like it's pointless
psg: the world, queen of cups, 5 of pentacles • king of wands
i believe they'll do well, however they could've score a bit more goals
real sociedad: 6 of swords, knight of cups, ace of swords • page of pentacles
might be passive and atp they gave up, however they'll give all they can give. they seem to do also well in their own way
who might win: ace of pentacles, strength, the tower • judgement
personally, it'd be suprising for me if someone certainly wins from the first halftime. both sides seem to be good enough to win, like equally, so 1) tie or 2) psg could win but it'll be harder. real sociedad can win too however they seem to be very passive. i sense that money is also involved here, however not as much as the match between copenhagen and manchester city, so maybe this could be why.
lazio versus bayern munich
overall view: the sun, 9 of swords rx, 9 of wands • death
oh? so there can be suprises?
lazio: death rx, 9 of wands rx, 8 of wands rx • 9 of pentacles
the team seem to be paralyzed because they aren't as good, so i believe the betters could be right that bayern will win
bayern munich: 2 of swords rx, 10 of cups rx, the devil rx, page of wands • 6 of pentacles
they might've wanted different team or will play in similar way/pace as lazio, seemingly they'll do better
who might win: 10 of cups, 6 of wands, the moon • the emperor
bayern munich, i believe so; it could be hard for them to do it like lazio play though?
tuesday, 20th february
psv versus dortmund
overall view: king of cups rx, 10 of swords rx, page of cups • 2 of cups
it looks that it's expected to be competitive as fuck ngl; the match might be one of a kind
psv: the hermit, judgement, 2 of wands • the lovers
might be passive and active at the same time, expect suprises
dortmund: the high priestess rx, the emperor, the fool • the magician
might do well despite their circumstances? i cannot look at them that much but they'll do wonders in this match
who might win: 7 of pentacles rx, justice, 8 of pentacles • wheel of fortune
based on the individual cards, the match might be on psv's side this time. tie can be possible but i doubt there will be one as of now
inter milan vs atlético madrid
overall view: judgement rx, king of cups, 3 of wands • queen of pentacles
basically atlético madrid will try for nothing😭 the betters = accurate
inter milan: 6 of pentacles, 4 of wands, page of pentacles • ace of swords
they will do good, what i can say more? the cards are good idk what i can say else
atlético madrid: the star, ace of pentacles rx, the world • wheel of fortune
basically what i said tbh; however they will do good, i don't see them failing but doing their best
who might win: strength rx, 5 of wands rx, 7 of wands • knight of swords
honestly it might start unusual and it would feel like the teams aren't the same or something like that but the match seem to be good and actually fair. they can actually tie, there's chance for it but it seems that it's more likely for inter milan to win rather than atlètico madrid. it can happen but for now it's less likely
wednesday, 21st february
porto versus arsenal
overall view: the magician, 2 of swords rx, strength • knight of swords
nice match, some scores can change out of sudden; not the match itself but the groups' ones
porto: the world rx, knight of wands, the star • justice
they seem to have another match in the upcoming days before that one? i sense that they might be tired but will do well nonetheless, if they lose it's bc of that
arsenal: 3 of swords, the moon rx, 6 of swords • knight of cups
so they'll lose, huh.. (except the bottom card, all three of them show that in my perspective, if there were another cards in the beginning and in the end, then i'd think otherwise)
who might win: 10 of wands, the lovers rx, knight of wands • the star
it seems that's porto :)
napoli versus barcelona
i forgot to check the overall view, so it seems that it's not that important from spiritual perspective, so let's rely on the rest
napoli: knight of swords, 8 of cups, the tower • 3 of cups
they can do well but i see some sort of yellow or red card for one of their people who can be impactful for how they'll do in the end OR a change for the people in their team, both things can happen but i am unsure atp
barcelona: the star, ace of cups, 9 of wands • 10 of pentacles
this match seems to be the most waited out of all round of 16s in the first leg and many people seem to bet for barcelona (this isn't the same for napoli) to win. despite that i do see barcelona doing their best
who might win: knight of pentacles, knight of cups, judgement • 7 of pentacles
i do see other factors influencing the final result such as betters but not these ones who bet publicly but these ones who rule the soccer/football in one way or another. alternatively, the winner will decide the possibly air and fire sign people in the reading (from vedic perspective, king of pentacles and king of cups) as of now it looks like there'll be tie until the last minutes or so as penalty kick or it will be just very intense. out of all, this match seems to be the most interesting one to watch.
hope you enjoyed this reading! about tonight and tommorow, i am sorry if i'm inaccurate🥲 when the 2nd leg comes, i'll try to guess who can be in 1/8 finals!
done on 13.02.2024 around 12:30-1:00 am eet (roughly time)
