Wei Wuxian Family Name
I'm not a linguistics person, but I do occasionally enjoy watching the people who are. Unfortunately, I never found anything by people who actually know linguistics about this particular item- probably because I didn't realise the magic search term or just had bad luck while looking, but I'll put it out into the world for my own reference, if nothing else.
Now, I'd seen in a fic that Wei Wuxian's family name had the character for ghost, (Marbleglove's finding one another series) but the Internet dictionary I favour (MDGB) said that 魏 wèi was a surname, meaning the tower over a palace gateway (archaic).
The Modao-zushi fandom wiki was a bit clearer, '魏 wèi – tower over a palace gateway; from the radicals 鬼 'ghost' & 委 'entrust/shift'.
However, I didn't find that. I found a different fanfom wiki article, that didn't include the information about the radicals. So I kept looking, and found this.
Which also shows how to theoretically write it, if I ever write an MDZS fanfic and the number of strokes per character become relevant.
I'm mostly focused on hopefully building up my MLHM au enough I finish by Halloween, but you never know- my MDZS/Harvest Moon farm game fic might find it useful.

Writing problems for Mlhm
So- I can't actually show how creepy the Mansion is in Marinette's pov. She's allowed to notice things, but only things relating to The Curse or The Witch make her uneasy.
So I started writing an Adrien pov, but only for the first five chaps. I'm just worried it'll make it seem like an Adrienette fic- because I like Adrien again. Some of the episodes released around the time I started planning made me feel awful, but I have read enough fanfiction since to remember I did like him to start with.
But I've plotted the ending, I know how it goes, I can't adapt those symbols to Adrienette so it is definitely staying a Felinette fic. Also Felinette is my favourite pairing more often than Adrienette, which I like we'll enough but not always.
I guess I might take the pov of a ghost? Not just the ones Felix cursed personally, but those whose spirits were drawn in by the curse. Get a whole supporting cast ready.
I don't want to give out too many spoilers, but nobody dies during the class trip to the mansion. It's loosely based on a disney movie based on the haunted mansion ride, and I don't like reading violent or bloody things. Assume the rating is PG 13 at most.

Respect to the dead
My last MLHM chapter got a lot more of a stronger response than I was expecting.
The pov character is tired, the speaker is going over information she mostly knows, and then they break for a snack in a room filled with 'memorial' plaques, and she's irritated at the reminders of deaths.
Also, while walking through the graveyard to the exit, she stumbles off the path and almost steps on a headstone.
And a lot of reviewers were angry about her disrespect to the dead?
Which I don't really get. I live in an older city- the church I was thinking of while writing about the visit has a side chapel dedicated to people who die offshore. There's quite a few gravestone that are larger than a single bed, some lain flat on the ground, some propped up like tables.
Parts of the <em>Path</em> up to the church doors have inscriptions implying people were buried there. I've honestly never thought about it because that church is so old no one's been buried there in living memory- the latest burial I know of is 1890.
It's not good manners to go clambouring around on graves, plain stupid to lean on them- they might be stone, but they can fall over. But I don't think I made Bustier act disrespectful to the dead, just to Jael. Who is technically dead, but she doesn't know that.
She stumbled off the path, she didn't step on a grave on purpose.
