ChristmAUs 2020 is here!

It has been a year since the previous ChristmAUs, and this year, it comes bigger than ever before! Featuring a staggering 224 characters (not counting most snowmen), this has been one of the biggest collaborative projects I’ve ever done! 

However, I of course didn’t do this picture alone, so let us move into giving people their credits.

How are the personality of the characters / ships in Storyfell? Is it more like Storyshift or Undertale?

I’d say Storyfell would be like Underfell in a Storyshift package, if that makes sense. The characters’ personalities resemble their Underfell selves more, but with splashes of Storyshift added to the canvas due to the different circumstances they’re in.

So the story here is that just like in Storyshift/Storyswap/Altertale, the two brothers had a falling out that led to the two separating, with one leaving for the Ruins. However, the reason for this divide is far different than these other universes.

Gaster was the previous king and the older brother of Sans and Papyrus, and since he died when the princes were but boys, Gerson stood in as temporary monarch until the two came of age. Now normally the eldest would step up to inherit the throne, and in this rendition of the Underfell universe this would be Papyrus.

However, Gaster had stated in his will that should he meet his demise before the two have grown up, then he wanted the two of them to duke it out for the position of king. Even if he hadn’t died, this is how he would have wanted the decision to be made - you’d think it was to give both brothers a somewhat equal chance, but do remember that Underfell!Gaster is a morally ambiguous agent of chaos.

Well, despite practically everyone in the Underground believing Papyrus was sure to claim the throne, Sans somehow ended up besting him. Sans was crowned as king, and then the two of them were supposed to work together to plan an invasion of the surface and conquer humanity.

But Papyrus was sore from his loss, believing that he was the rightful heir to the kingdom, so one day he left New Home and went to the furthest place in the Underground from Sans - the Ruins.

When the humans began to fall, at first he only took them in and hid them from Sans and the rest of monsterkind simply out of spite. However, he grew attached to them, and the loss of each one in truth affected him greatly. After the death of the first, he began to train the rest of the humans that fell. He taught them how to fight, how to protect themselves, how to KILL if necessary...

Papyrus became a traitor to his own people. First out of spite, then later to do what was right.

Sans went through a similar change as well. He never actually fought or killed any of the humans that found themselves in the Underground - they never could make it to him, but he still ordered their executions through the hands of The Royal Guard. But the first execution he witnessed was also his last - the first fallen’s death made him feel guilty, for harming a creature weaker than him.

He started seeing himself in the humans. Sans was always considered the weak one, especially when compared to his brother. Now he feels as though he’s no better than the brothers that used to beat him up, belittle him. And he’s too afraid to call off the hunt for the humans because he’s terrified the other monsters will revolt against him.

for the Goodbye Despair AU swaps, do you have any potential new rivals in mind? or is it still Komaeda and, if so, how do the protags interact with him?

Ok! First thing, only 3 of the nine are swap AUs

The other 6 are based off the UnderTale AUs StoryShift and StorySpin

StoryShift took 10 characters and shifted their in universe role. For example, Chara the Fallen, shifted into Sans’s role as the Judge, but Sans didn’t take Chara’s role, and instead shifted into Asgore’s role as the Monarch. And StorySpin takes this concept in the opposite direction. So Asgore becomes the Judge, and Sans becomes the fallen.

Another important aspect of these AUs is that it only shifts roles, not personalities. So even though Asgore wasn’t much for puns, Monarch!Sans still loves them.

Obviously those who shift into the Masterminds’ roles do need a personality change, but otherwise I try to keep them as consistent as their original selves as possible.

Sorry for putting you through all that, but it was important to explain how these AUs will work.

Since you commented the OG post about the Protagonist Mahiru AU, I’ll talk about this one.

In this universe, named Goodbye Spin, (It’s lame, don’t judge me) Kazuichi takes Nagito’s role.

That’s not to say Kazuichi spends the whole game preaching about Hope, that’s still Nagito’s thing.

Disclaimer: I only had pseudo ideas when stringing this together, so I’m gonna be coming up with a lot of this on the fly.

Since Kazuichi takes the role of rival, there are some important things that he MUST do. One: he has to cause problems (doesn’t have to be on purpose either) and two: he needs to be the trial 5 “victim” that makes a convoluted plot to get everyone killed. The why is still open for debate.

Frans Week - Day 3: An AU [Storyshift]

Frisk laughed at the joke when she read the joke book made by Sans himself. For an ex-king who was lazy to do much besides sleeping on his throne, he sure does have enough time to make jokes like this. Ranging from a book full of knock-knock jokes and Japes and Pranks for New Players. She sat happily on the chair next to the TV with a sofa in the front of the living room. The short skeleton himself had walked in on her chuckling, holding two hot mugs in his hands. He laughed too and walks over to her. “doin' alright there, giggles?” Sans asked.

She nodded her head before closing the book shut. “Y-Yeah, these were really funny and good!” she answered. “I really love them!” Frisk had been living with the skeleton brothers after the monster's freedom. Though they were hesitant at first to be living together again, they are on good terms for the most part for being in the house and work. It may take time, but she's sure it will get better. Every monster she met was living a good life. Sometimes playing with Chara and Asriel too in their New New Home. The human had forgiven Sans for what he has done, but the old monarch was having trouble finding it in himself. The kid was so sweet, if melodramatic when it comes to her acting skills. But kind nonetheless. He was glad to met a human that was nice to monsters, aside from Chara. “heh, i'm glad you liked them. i got some more material too if you ever wanna listen.” He winked at her and sets the mugs down on the coffee table. “Really?” she asked. “yeah, they're all pretty humerus.” “Hee hee hee, alright!” Frisk giggled again as she goes to the sofa to sit by him. “Let's hear it!” Her cheeks started to grow pink as she sat beside him. Through all the faults and mistakes made, she cared for Sans. Though it wasn't something like a mother/father-like figure. Papyrus has filled that role nicely. It was strange as she had heard stories of him through her journey, the human wanted to like him and felt sorry for the monster. Was it wrong to feel this way? “knock knock,” Sans began. “Who’s there?” Frisk asked. “flower.” “flower who?” “flower you today, kiddo!” She laughed again at the joke. Frisk wanted to do one, but her true forte is in flirting, along with singing and dancing. And she has one good pick up line in mind to counter this. [*ACT] > [ *Sans ] > [ *FLIRT ] “Did you knock before you entered my life? Because I a door you,” she pointed her fingers at Sans with a small wink. He stared at her for a moment before laughing heartily as well. Papyrus wasn’t kidding when he said this girl is quite a flirter. “oh man, that’s really sweet of ya.” Though this human should know that pick up lines are just puns, but with a purpose. “are you a singer? you must be good cuz being with ya is perfect harmony.” Oh no! That was smooth, Frisk thought to herself as she felt the blood rushing to her cheeks. But she can’t back down. She is the ultimate flirter, after all. “Is it bright in here or is it just me?  Because I’m deLIGHTed to see you.” Sans was also not in the mood to back down. It was easy to turn a pun from his own autobiographies into a sweet line or two. “anytime I look up into the sky and see the stars, I remember your shining beauty.” “You must be the sun, because you’re the center of my universe!” “everyone wants to be the sun that lights up your life. but i’d rather be your moon, so I can shine on you during your darkest hour when your sun isn’t around.” Damn, that was sweet too! “Knock knock!” “who’s there?” “Pauline!” “Pauline who?” “I’m Pauline in love with you!” Silence settled in from the confession. Frisk wanted to make her declaration of love much better than this, maybe have more flair and dramatic, but not like this. She wondered how would Sans think of this. In her mind, he would probably try to turn her down gently. Or worse, be a little disgusted. Her eyes trailed in a downcast gaze, nervous to look up at him. “hey, frisk,” Sans spoke softly to her. He had moved in closer to her, his cape wrapped around her body with his skull resting gently on top of her head. “what did the martini glass say to the ketchup bottle?” “...I don’t know, what did they say?” He placed his skeletal fingers up on her chin to let her face see him. A light blue blush appeared on his cheek bones with a soft smile. “Olive you from head tomatoes.”
