Continuing the tradition of Nishant and Nameless to start the year. Little late but eh it's still January

These two have existed since about 2013 but changed a lot since. Most notably, Nameless started out as a ‘demon’ who could change shapes from a human to a creature like the one he looks like here.

Location: Forensic Labs - Fenrir Police Station When: Afternoon With: @nishantdoshi

Joel was making his third coffee of the day, a quick and cheap instant mix poured with hot water into the same mug that he'd used since the morning, concoction stirred with a wooden stick that was soon discarded once it served its purpose. The lab was empty save for them, Joel had made sure no one else was scheduled to be in at this time and locked the door for added security to prevent anyone from wandering in. It was simply too dangerous to risk being overheard. It always was but now it felt especially so. "Do you want a coffee?" Joel asked Nishant, blowing his breath across the surface of his own to cool it slightly, enough so he could take a sip, "It's shit but it works." It certainly could never be as good as the coffee made from a proper machine, like the one in Nishant's flat.

he reckons by now that it's a lucky thing, how he's not a witch, for the amount of curses that left JJ's mouth when he realised he'd fucked up at the little duck would put even the greatest members of the coven to shame.

and perhaps on some subconscious level, he'd done it on purpose. showed up on a night when nishant was listed to work, to come in before his shift long before his shift would be set to end. JJ had sat at bar with the intention of drinking and brooding before going home to pass out into a blissful, drunken sleep, only to look up and see nishant serving someone else.

and now he sat, filled with a million different conflicting feelings that all came to the same conclusion; that nishant still looked good, smelled good, and was still far happier without him.

which is probably why by the time nishant comes to his side of the bar, a thing he'd evidentally been avoiding thus far, that JJ lets out a good and proper "well fuck you too then, don't say hi" without thinking much about it, or the consequences. being three beers in does that to a person, he supposes.

knocking back the fourth of his drinks, JJ wipes his hand on the back of his mouth, then glances to nishant with what could only be described as that of a kicked puppy.
