1p nyo romano headcanons as an older sister?

(Just a note, I’m not 100% sure on the names I’m using for the Nyos as the fandom seems divided on a lot of them, so I just picked some out, if they change then I will edit this in the future)

• She doesn’t hate Aurora (Nyo N. Italy), she could never bring herself to hate her family, but she always feels extremely inferior around Aurora so she tends to avoid her as best as possible, their relationship is pretty strained due to this

• Huge soft spot for Mattea (Nyo Seborga), she likes to say that she doesn’t have favourite siblings but it is very clear that she does and even clearer that it is Mattea

• Mattea has a habit of coming over and even sleeping over a lot, so she’s got their favourite snacks and drinks laying around, along with specific bedsets and bathroom utensils for them

• Tries to celebrate her sister’s birthdays, but she can be really forgetful about what they like (and sometimes even when it is, even if Aurora’s birthday is the same day as her’s), so she mostly gives them as much money as she can afford to part with as a gift

• Will still fist fight anyone who tries to start anything with either of her sisters, she’ll likely lose but the thought is there

• The type of sibling that used to be the banker to cheat in Monopoly and then get mad about it when they were called out on it, they played Monopoly once and swore never again

• Steals her sibling’s stuff, especially clothes, but gets annoyed and starts an argument when they do it back to her

• Speaking of arguments, there are usually many, especially around holidays when they feel forced to be around each other for potentially weeks, but most of them end up being forgotten in an hour or two, if that

I kind of really don't like how the Risorgimento in Hetalia is framed as a thing done solely by Veneziano and how it supposedly came as a surprise to Romano. First of all, it was kind of a long process, so it's been boiled down way too much, but I can forgive that because it's meant to be funny.

What I can't really forgive is that Romano is made obsolete in the comic, despite how influential the South actually was in making the Risorgimento happen. Just based on the Wikipedia page (I don't have the energy to go through an actual history book rn), there was the Carboneria formed in Southern Italy, not to mention that the unification happened under the House of Savoy, which admittedly was northern, but they first gained the title of king when they took over Sicily, and later exchanged it for Sardinia. Previously, Savoy ruled over duchies, but it was first when they gained the title King of Piedmont-Sardinia they started to consider uniting Italy. Those two are just the most obvious examples, but there's plenty more if you look into it.

It's not so much that South Italy did not want the Risorgimento or had no hand in it, it's rather that the results of it ended up being a betrayal, not just to the South, but anyone who was not Piedmontese – however, that betrayal was felt especially by the South. At least that's how I'm reading it. I'm sure I still ended up simplifying it a lot, and if anyone wants to expand on this, please do so.

anyways bit of context behind this piece,,, took inspo from this from this one royalty gerita roleplay im doing and like the context of this piece doesn’t really apply much to their dynamic in the roleplay anymore, but at the time i was doing the piece, in the roleplay feliciano was a knight and ludwig was a king and they are in love but surprise surprise ludwig is already arranged to marry a princess,,, and monika, another knight, is like so madly in love with feliciano and he is just so conflicted and confused with his own feelings and that’s basically what this piece is about :3 i wish i could fully explain the storyline of this roleplay because its so good it rots my brain

Nyo 1p Italy headcanons as a mother?

• Never really saw herself as having any children, but she’s now determined to be the best mother that she can be

• Will hit someone if they hug her child after they said they didn’t want a hug, she doesn’t care who it is, even if it’s her grandmother or her sisters

• Constantly checking if they’re hungry or want something to drink, she brings them snacks literally all the time, even when they didn’t ask - it’s fine if they just want to put it in the fridge for later

• She’s not very strict at all, just basics things like doing their homework not starting fights, etc.

• Power naps literally whenever she can because she didn’t realise how exhausting being a parent would be, she ocassionally calls her sisters to help because it gets a lot sometimes

• Is absolutely willing to take time off of work for them whenever they need, or when they really want, she’ll skip a meeting if they want to see a movie with her because she wants to spend as much time together as she can

• Would take them to world meetings when they were super young so she would have an excuse to leave periodically and not participate, the downside was some of the other country’s wouldn’t stop crowding around her to see them
