When I started shipping them: I spent a lot of time going, "Do I ship them or are Travis and Laura just cute?" and then the stuff with Algar happened in Nicodranas and THEN there was the Jellyfish talk and I was done. That was it for me.

What makes me happy about them: God, just... everything? The fact that they knew all these little things about each other and Jester just pretended she didn't know anything, because Fjord didn't want people to know about his past. And really, the thing I loved the most about them was watching Fjord slowly go from joking around with the flirting to oh wait, is this something? to actually trying to flirt while Jester thought her crush was unrequited and the entire time they were still each other's people regardless of romantic feelings. They are the same kind of weird and I think they understand each other from top to bottom and watching them learn how to stop idealizing each other and see each other as real people is SO GOOD.

What makes me sad about them: Nothing. They're living their best lives and they helped each other get there.

Things done in fanfic that annoys me: I mean, I mentioned this in a previous post, but people who make Jester sound like a child.

Things I look for in fanfic: Thanks to utilitycaster for saying this in an ask, but getting the voices right.

My wishlist: Live on their ship for as long as possible with Jester's art studio in the city and adopt a bunch of kids and have one or two bio-kids if that's their thing. Hang out with their friends and live their best lives adventuring.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Eh. I just think they're perfect and I have a hard time picturing a better ending for either of them.

I lost some friends from the attack on Afghanistan & some many years later from suicide due to PTSD. My step son helped me get through my difficult time dealing with it. I self medicated with alcohol & couldn’t talk with anyone, but concentrating on a little 1 year boy put my life back in perspective. Even now all these years later I have a hard time talking about it, especially having to be medically retired during the Iraq invasion & feeling the guilt that I couldn’t be there for my fellow Sailors. I got a NAM (Navy Achievement Medal) for my support of the SH-60F Seahawk helicopters that I was responsible for at my command. But, I would have traded it to stay in & help my brothers & sisters in arms during that time. So, in closing, let me say to my fellow Veterans, if you’re having problems dealing, don’t give up & reach out for help. There are so many of us that understand what you’re going through & have gotten through it.
