WOO boi, under the cut for tcesty flirts. also spoilers for chapter two of AEITA so if you haven't read that. you may want to, idk *shrug*

“Where did you even get anything to get high on?” the leader asked incredulously, shaking his head slowly.

“Mona ‘isa,” he answered simply, shrugging nonchalantly.

“She… She’s in the military, though.”

Struggling not to start laughing at the confused puppy face that his brother was now wearing, Raph nodded affirmatively. “Yep. Shi’s legal out there—it’s med’cine.”

Perhaps the sarcastic tone wasn’t needed, but the deeper flush on previously leaf-green cheeks was so worth it—he fucking lived for a red-faced Leo! Ten out of ten, best Leo ever. He smirked cheekily, hooding his eyes as he leaned in closer.

“Ya’ know—” his eyes flicked down to Leo’s lips and then back up to find his ocean eyes wide and focused intently—“t’ere are other ways ta get high. Don’t need no drugs for ‘em…”

Leo returned his gaze steadfast, a glint of mischief lighting the dark pools as the elder turtle chuckled at his pickup line. “That is the worst one, yet, Raphael,” he stated matter-of-factually, even as his eyes darkened. “You are so bad at flirting; you should stop now.”

Snorting, the burly turtle shook his head defiantly. “Nah, jus’ gotta try harder s’all.”

“Ah, is that it?”

“Uh-huh. ‘Xactly.”

^ THAT is one of my favorite scenes I've ever written, and that's by far my favorite bit from it. It was much fun to write and I love re-reading it. It just makes me happy and I'm really proud of it.

Also, this little interaction from a wip for my kinktober thing:

“Where do you think you’re going?” Fuck. Kaachan. (*Mama.*)

Turning around swiftly to beam a wide, fake smile at her mother, Sof drew in a deep breath. Okay. She was used to this. They’d been nuisances to each other all day, but now was the time to play up the Eldest Daughter act and get the hell of out dodge for a few hours. She could do this.

“Hey, Okaasan,” she greeted cheerily, waving her arms out amicably. “Tyotto dekakete kuru ne.” (*Mother, I am going out for a little while.*)

“Are you, now?” Kaachan asked, less of a question and more a challenge. If Sofonisba didn’t play her cards right, she’d be putting her sais right back on her desk.

Where could she go that would give her an outlet without alerting Splinter to her plans? Kaachan didn’t like her tendencies for “needless” violence, but she also didn’t like keeping her daughters couped up unnecessarily. Where, where, where?

What if I called Lavinia…?

“I was going to…” she began carefully, nodding slowly, weighing her words, and keeping track of her tone.“It’s nice out and it’s been quiet down near the pharmacy we get our pain meds from… I thought I’d take a nice run and, uh, maybe swing by Casey’s for a bit—she said somethin’ about an, uh, art project, I think, earlier, but it might’a been a trig. thing… I ‘on’t really remember off the top of my head, but I thought I might be able to help her out if she needs it—depends on which it is, ya’ know, Kaachan?”

Realizing too late that she’d rambled and dropped the honorific, Sof gulped and shook her shoulders to keep from scratching at her neck like a socially awkward fool.

However, she must’ve done a good enough job at pleading her case, so to speak, because Splinter waved a hand and dismissed her. “Do not forget, Sofonisba: there is training in the morning.”

“Hai, sensei,” she bowed excitedly, fighting not to let her smile grow too big. She turned for the turnstiles, hands already twitching to grab something—Lavinia, Kohaku, her sais, someone’s shitty-ass crowbar like she did last month, oh that had been so cool holy shit.

She was gonna go out and run and bash heads and she might even get laid—

“Take your sisters with you.”

I'm pretty proud of this one, too.
