Kinda! Rayman 2 is Baby Ray in the future, but not right now, while Rayman 3 turned into Sparks based on the abilities he can use, just as a connection point between them!

Baby Rayman was not included with the original three but will be introduced later on when they’re a little more settled into the apartment

how he got there? We literally can’t say yet because of spoilers for the intro hsjdjsh but we can say he’s a growing baby boy

Some Story Notes for My Rigatoni Redesign

*Character inspirations: Joe from Help! I’m a Fish, Space Jam, the main bad guy from Oliver and Company, Rock-A-Doodle, Ratigan, and some We’re Back: A Dinosaur’s Story thrown in for good measure.

*Age: Unknown (his species is pretty long-lived)

*True name: Rx’yadxre Laz’t’k Rikk Venisxhi Havyik Yrthtyog (but his current alias is Rigatoni)

*I am literally unsure whether to go with "The dragon form is his actual form that he can change into at will and it’s his big secret" or "he tries to absorb the magic of Rayman's World and it causes him to horrifically mutate and go on a rampage" because both are great story beats. I might split the difference and say “yeah he’s actually a dragon but trying to eat the Lums made him lose his mind for a bit”. *Original idea was that he was wearing fake teeth and fake eyes and then these fall out sorta like that one scene from Who Framed Roger Rabbit before his big boss battle but...nah, I'd rather he just always had the fangs. *His species was enslaved by the robot space pirates under a different leader and his planet was destroyed when it was stripped for resources.

*In a horrific twist of irony, he doesn't actually know this, and has a partnership with the robot space pirates to get more circus performers.

*On that note, the Razorbeard working for him is not the same Razorbeard from Rayman 2. That’s actually Razorbeard’s son, designed to look like him (with some flaws) as a way to foil assassination attempts. But I’ll get to Rayman: TAS’s Razorbeard soon when I redesign him.

*By the way, his planet’s destruction actually shaped a good amount of his mindset and is why he takes a cruel “Survival of the Fittest” approach. His race welcomed those invaders with open arms! They tried to reason with them! And what did they get in return?! 

*Side-note: Don’t pity him, he’s literally killed hundreds.

*He usually eats like Jabba the Hut where he just crunches down on live animals. Usually negotiates contracts during dinner, where his circus performer slowly realizes that Rigatoni’s capable of eating bones like potato chips.

*Normally drags his tail around limply like a big rat only to surprise unsuspecting trapped creatures by suddenly snaking it out and grabbing them, revealing that it’s also prehensile and a third limb for him.

Humans in Rayman have always surprised me, like Betina is one of the earliest instance of humans before Barbara and the other princesses in Legends and I kinda found it funny with how fantastical Rayman’s world normally is

I just headcanon that most humans live on one of the many islands off coast from the Glade of Dreams and some like Betina were lost as a very young child and was raised in a circus.

Well, it shouldn't really have been much of a surprise because humans were first shown in Rayman Dictees (most notably, Clara the Witch). Dictees came out in 1998, a year prior to TAS, thought I correct you on that BUT-

Putting that in mind though, while it is still intriguing in concept, I don't consider humans as a farfetched idea for the Glades. I mean, there are the nymphs that looked strikingly similar to humans so you can see the possibility.

The dream (Part 1)

It all happened on a quiet night, in a wedding hall, they were celebrating a wedding Everyone was celebrating, dancing and eating, Chris was talking to Mayi and Rayman Atarime was with Octavia at a table, they were eating some of the food "Tavi! Tonight many shooting stars will fall! I want to see them!" Atarime said "No Atarime, you will have to wait until the party is over" Octavia exclaimed while she continued eating "Pleaseeeeeee!" Atarime said "*Sigh* okay, you win, just remember you have to go back before the party's over, okay?" Octavia told her "Yes! Thank you Tavi!!!" Atarime kissed her on the cheek and went to the door that led to the garden of the wedding hall Without anyone noticing, she left the wedding hall to see the shooting stars that would fall that night, at first everything was quiet

"A... ta... ri... me..." She heard a voice calling her, at first she ignored it since she thought it was just her imagination "A... ta... ri... me..." That voice sounded again... this time she decided to go to investigate, she walked near the forest

She listened as someone sang a terrifying melody, she got a little scared, but she decided to keep walking After walking for a while, she found an abandoned cemetery, she looked for the entrance, when she found it she decided to enter

"Ri... ght... He... re..." She heard that voice, she didn't have a flashlight, so the road was very dark, she decided to take a few steps forward

"Keep... wal... king..." She was already scared, when she turned around she realized that the exit was not there, it was as if it had disappeared, she decided to continue walking, in the background she saw a small purple flame "Oh! Maybe someone else is here!" she thought, she thought it was someone with a flashlight that was also in the cemetery, she approached the purple flame, the road was too dark, she almost fell on the road, but she finally got closer Oh no... it wasn't someone else, the small purple flame approached Atarime, she tried to touch it but when she did that, the voice spoke again

"You shouldn't have done that..." After hearing that, multiple purple flames appeared out of nowhere and headed towards the exit of the cemetery, after that a purple ghost appeared, the purple fire showed that it had a human silhouette with eyes totally yellow She saw the ghost go to the exit, The ghost was heading towards the wedding hall, she tried to stop the ghost but the ghost grabbed her with his magic and slammed her against the wall, causing her to fall unconscious due to the strong blow

"Ow..." The sun was barely rising, Atarime woke up to realize that she was still in the cemetery, she realized that she had a large purple stain on her stomach that almost reached to her chest (the small purple flame caused it), she quickly remembered what had happened, and ran to the wedding hall Atarime opened the doors of the wedding halls, everyone was there, some characters were trying to calm the people who were scared by what had happened last night, among the characters were Mayi, Rayman, Molly and Doctavio "That ghost is still out there with everyone's souls! We have to go after him!" Chris exclaimed Atarime tried to look for Octavia among all the people, but she didn't find her, until she saw Xena and went to talk to her "Xena? W-what happened!?" Atarime asked her "W-we were attacked last night b-by some kind of g-ghost!" Xena said, she was about to cry "Where are the others!?" Atarime asked "O-on the top floor, Lulu and Emmy a-are there-" Xena replied Atarime went running to the stairs to reach the top floor "A-atarime! W-wait!" Xena tried to stop her

When you really think about it, the Pirates have left the most significant (and by extension most traumatic) impact on the world of Rayman, throughout the franchise. Not because they blew up the Heart though. That’s bad enough, but consider that André had nefarious plans with it and Mr. Dark had previously destabilized an entire region by stealing the Protoon. To say nothing of the Nightmares and Jano, the Rabbids, and so on.

No, the reason the Pirates would be considered worse by many, is that they’re not native. Jano was a threat everyone was aware of. Mr. Dark was a potential issue that quickly got out of hand. André was a nuisance, but the fact that the entire world didn’t freak out suggests that this may have happened before (possibly with a different Red Lum?) or had the potential to happen. The Rabbids are explicitly named as native creatures by Ly in the GBA version of Raving Rabbids, who got bullied hard and became twisted over it. The Magician and the Dark Teensies were again, probably unexpected, but not completely impossible.

But the Pirates? They’re not native. They come from beyond the clouds, beyond the skies, beyond the stars themselves. They came from an endless expanse of planets and civilizations and creatures. And this one wanted to harm them. Even though they managed to repel the Pirates and Polokus’ power could likely protect them again if needed, who knows what’s out there? Are there more Pirates out there? Or something worse? Rayman, and the TAS cast could also affirm that fear.

There’s a billion planets out there, full of billions of people. Should they look forward to a possible visit in the futre? Or dread it? Once these thoughts cross one’s mind, this wondrous planet of dreams suddenly feels very small and very frail, like a delicate snowglobe. And the Pirates were the ones who broke the illusion of safety. They may not have succeeded in their plans, but they definitely left their mark.

89. tell me about a dream you had and when it happened.

the first dream that came to mind is a fairly recent one, I think I had it about a week ago? I was trapped in this strange unknown city that was unlike anything I've ever seen on Earth before. I was with Bellamy and his sister, along with a coupld of my own friends, and we had to try and figure out where we were, why we were there, and how to survive. it was kinda intense but also I got to hug Bellamy so... worth it.

I don't drink soda very much, actually... but I do like Root Beer and Orange Crush.

91. what sounds are your favorite?

hm... gentle rain, piano, and a softly crackling fire.

92. do you wear jeans or sweats more?

I wear them an equal amount, honestly. I typically wear jeans when going out and sweats when I'm home.

music, hands down. its the first thing on my list aside from daydreaming.

I want something soft and floral. a symbol that means "breathe" to kind of just remind me to slow down and relax for a moment. I'm also debating on a date but I'm unsure about that one yet mainly because that one is extremely personal and I'm not sure if thats how I want to commemorate that person.

It’s been a while since I made a story unrelated to requests … I just felt like doing something a little different since I recently noticed that we have reached 110 followers , which is just -

I really wanted to take the opportunity to thank you all so much for being so supportive of my little headcanons and stories for Bullfrog and Rayman , you’re all really amazing and kind and you’ve really made me feel like home here on Tumblr …

I may be a bit too busy and ( most of all ) shy to interact much with everyone , but I really do appreciate you guys … thank you so much , I mean it :,) ❤️

Now then , onto the actual story , I’ve recently stumbled upon this beautiful French song , and at some point a random inspiration for a Bullfrog fic hit me : 

what if the reader decided to surprise their beloved frog boy by singing him this song ? Maybe for a special occasion , like the one year anniversary of the relationship ? 

It just seemed too wholesome of a concept for me to let go , so I ended up writing this :,) 

I also added a translation in English for the lyrics , because it’s just so cute and it melted my heart when I read it ;//;

It had been a very long , tiresome day for Bullfrog …

The last mission the Warden had assigned him and his companions had been filled with complications , and this could easily be guessed by his bruises and ripped clothes .

Even as someone who took pride in his job , he yearned for nothing more than to find a quiet place to rest … hopefully in the arms of his beloved .

He also hadn’t forgotten about what a special time this was , so before going back to you he had managed to pass by a flower shop and buy a bouquet of your favorite flowers : the thought of your smile in front of his gift was the one thing that was keeping him from dropping on the ground for sheer exhaustion .

< I’m back mon amour ! Sorry for being late , this was a much more difficult task than I anticipated … > 

Bullfrog stopped , slightly alarmed by the fact that you weren’t behind the door to greet him like usual :

Before you could even realize it , the distance between your faces diminished more and more , until eventually your lips met into a much anticipated and needed kiss .

You closed your eyes , letting out a sigh while holding Bullfrog in your arms , and you could feel all the tension in his body instantly melt to your touch as he gladly leaned into it …

Eventually you both pulled away , staring into each other’s eyes and enjoying that precious moment of intimacy .

As the two of you carried on with your conversations , glad to finally be together , the sun started to disappear behind the tall skyscrapers of the city … some of the nightly neon lights were already starting to illuminate the crowded streets .

It had certainly been a one year anniversary to remember .

I Watched the Trailer for “Angry Birds 2″ and remembered a Ray-story I thought of a while ago.

So basically Raymesis is driven mad with power after an incident with the Magician’s magic and decides to perform a Coup de ta against Ales.

After being thrown out of his Lair, Ales is scared that the clone would use his new power and insanity to unleash an invasion in the Glade he decides to ask for help to calm him down.

So now he and Rayman’s group reluctantly join forces to try and stop the disaster.

Smash Bros. Ultimate  FINAL ROSTER PREDICTIONS (Redux)

I already did this, but loadsss of stuff changed since then. As release day draws closer, I thought I’d sift through my predictions for characters. Have a read if u want, then if you disagree lemme know bc my hype hasn’t died down since it was announced i need help (and hey if u look at my old prediction post, I already predicted Simon, K. Rool and Dark Samus so I can’t be the worst, right?)

Okay so my predictions have changed A LOT since I started this blog a few months ago and I think I’ve narrowed it down a lil now. So to put it simply, I think we’re definitely getting one more Smash based direct in October/November. Considering the fact that they’ve got the Mystery Mode™, online play and a whole load of other modes/assists/a few characters we aren’t aware of yet, I reckon they’ll have plenty to talk about in it. My other prediction is that we’re getting 2 newcomers and 1 more echo MINIMUM. Could get maybe a couple more echoes or 1 or 2 standalone character reveals as a stretch but I think we can at least expect that much.

Characters (Base Roster)

Geno (Super Mario RPG)

This wooden eggo has been the only character that’s been a constant in my predictions since the get go, despite the fact that I know basically nothing about him. But he’s the character I’m most confident about getting in.

This newcomer cycle has had a big ol focus on fan appeal this time, most likely stemming from the ballot. This was kind of clear from the Ridley reveal, but the addition of King K. Rool kind of made this a lot more likely. And I would go as far as to say that Geno is probably the most highly requested Smash character since ever.

Sakurai has stated multiple times that he wanted Geno in Brawl and then in Smash 4, but the best he could get was a mii costume. But yeah, not a lot of characters can say that they not only have long standing fan demand, but also are wanted by Sakurai himself.

Considering that Square Enix were previously unwilling to play ball with Nintendo on Geno, but then they went and put arguably their most lucrative character in Cloud as DLC for Smash 4, I don’t think Square’s gonna be too bothered about handing over this character, especially since it’s a character they’re never going to do anything with (Don’t know about you but I’m not seeing a Mario RPG sequel in the pipeline)

And as much as I hate to allude to leakers in my predictions, you can’t deny the fact that Vergeben has not gotten a single thing wrong regarding Smash so far. And he has mentioned a new Square rep and I honestly don’t know who else that could be. Chrono? Lara Croft? But then there’s no way either of those beat Geno in the ballot.

Incineroar (Pokemon)

We’ve yet to receive a Pokemon in this game and really that’s reason enough in itself. Considering that we’ve had at least one new Pokemon rep in every game, I v much doubt they’ll break that tradition now

The two Big Guesses that everyone has been throwing out since day 1 have been Incineroar and Decidueye, both from Gen 7, as we know from Smash 4′s Greninja inclusion that Pokemon is the only franchise with the power to get a rep in before their game releases. And because of this, Pokemon reps are the only ones that are exceptions of my usual rule to discount any characters that released after the time Sakurai has stated he locked in the roster for this game in 2015/16 (looking at Spring Man and Rex & Pyra here, but I’m almost certain they will be DLC)

Yet again, calling on Vergeben here. He has explicitly said Incineroar is in over Decidueye. But hey, he’s not god so he could be wrong eventually. I’m still fairly convinced of Incineroar’s inclusion tho (as much as I’d prefer Decidueye)

Ken as a Ryu echo (Street Fighter)

Ken is the only echo I’m convinced is getting in. A lot of this is honestly, again, down to Vergeben’s leaks and a screenshot of Ken in a Smash Ultimate stage that has yet to be debunked. I don’t have a lot to say on this character purely because I don’t think there are many more people that need convincing.

Shadow the Hedgehog (Sonic series)

Shadow’s assist is missing and has been replaced out of nowhere with Knuckles, as you probably know. This is a huge notch in his favour, especially if you consider that Isabelle’s assist was replaced with Kapp’n in the August direct and now ta dah here she is. Honestly, with Shadow I think it’s only a matter of time, whether they release him as an echo alongside Ken in the final direct in the same way they did with Dark Samus and Chrom or they save him for DLC as a unique fighter (if Isabelle can be unique, Shadow definitely can).

These four are my picks for the most likely characters left to be revealed, but hey there’s some Hot Picks™  that I left out that u may be curious about so here’s why they’re not here. I guess you could call these my back ups, but they all have too much doubt around them for me to place them in my main predictions (a lot of this is pure speculation so I’m probably wrong but what the hell):

Isaac (Golden Sun) - Now don’t get me wrong, I know Isaac has his fans and he genuinely has a good shot of getting in to Ultimate, especially if you consider that the only new first party franchise we’ve had so far is Splatoon. But what’s holding him back in my mind is that the likes of Ridley and K. Rool are in, villains from huge franchises that have had endless support since forever. And while Isaac has some sense of seniority, I don’t think his place on the ballot matched that of those particular characters. And if the likes of Ashley and Shovel Knight have been assist’d, I can’t see Isaac placing any higher than them if you think about how niche Golden Sun is (but u know, look how ‘niche’ Mario RPG is and Geno’s way up on my list so don’t listen to me). The other thing is that, in the E3 presentation, it was revealed that there are ‘over 50′ assist trophies in this game. We’re currently aware of 40, a fair majority of which have returned from previous games. That doesn’t look good for characters like Isaac if we’re looking at another 12-15 assists to pop up in the next direct. So all I’m saying is, don’t be surprised if that happens. But I definitely think he’ll pop up in some form, whether that be assist or playable.

Skull Kid (Zelda series) - This is one I was uncertain about for a long while, as the fact that his assist is missing and replaced with the Moon from Majora’s Mask is a notch in his favour but I think I’ve settled on the idea that they may be saving Skull Kid for something else: Boss character. We’re all pretty much thinking that mysterious mode is probably gonna be a story mode by now and Ultimate is already filling its boots with iconic characters fitting in as bosses with the likes of Dracula and Rathalos being announced. And as much as I want Skull Kid in, I would say that he is the most iconic Zelda villain besides Ganondorf, which places him in a weird position where he would be v much suited to a character slot but would also make for a viable boss addition. So yeah, could go either way but for me, there’s too much doubt around him to count him as a dead cert for the roster.

Bandana Waddle Dee (Kirby series) - Another very very likely candidate for the roster, this cute lil squishball would complete the Kirby set™ and he’s v popular in Japan. But he’s in the same position as Isaac where I’m not sure he got as much attention as peeps like Ridley and K. Rool. But hey, with Kirby and this character being Sakurai’s babies, this could sway him otherwise (I rlly hope so, can u tell I want him in)

Chorus Kids (Rhythm Heaven) - As my final back up/unsure pick, the Chorus Kids take their spot alongside Isaac in the ‘first party franchises that really need Smash attention’ category. The other things that make me pick the Chorus Kids over others is the fact that people doin’ some digging a while back revealed that the Chorus Kids were a scrapped character from Smash 4 so it isn’t a stretch to say that Sakurai could’ve gone back to that idea and make it work. Plus, the Chorus Kids would tick another box we’ve yet to account for; this game’s ‘weird’ rep. Much like Pokemon, it’s pretty much tradition at this point for each Smash game to contain a newcomer or two from odd franchises that not many would expect (Ice Climbers and Game & Watch in Melee, R.O.B. in Brawl, Wii Fit Trainer and Duck Hunt in Smash 4) and this is yet another tradition I don’t see them abandoning for Ultimate. As well as ticking this box, Chorus Kids are also a v popular pick so I have them in mind as the most likely pick if Sakurai is keeping the usual ‘weird’ rep tradition alive. But really what’s keeping Chorus Kids out of my main predictions is the fact that we have no idea if we’ll even get a rep in that vein this time, especially since competition for roster slots is so intense this time around.

OKAY so that’s all my dudes. If u happened to read my last post, you will notice that my number 1 fave pick ever Rayman is now gone from my predictions. But that’s bc I think he’ll be DLC now. So there you go. Tune in at some point when I’ll probably do a DLC posty boi. Have a good day.
