Is the DHMIS Gem AU mostly wholesome like Steven Universe, or does it have some grim things happening to the main characters?
I'd argue Steven Universe has a plethora of really dark moments and concepts that get overlooked or aren't dwelled on too hard due to having Steven as the center focus, so in that way, yes, it's exactly like Steven Universe 😂 But in all seriousness, while the overall plot isn't as concrete and developed YET (mostly from being a relatively recent creation, compared to something like, say, my KGTV Gem AU, which is also significantly darker and flavourably edgier in terms of themes, but we're not here to talk about that) I'd say it's a lot more domestic slice of life than anything else. It's actually pretty close to the Orphanage AU in that regard, haha.
I don't wanna leave you with that short of an answer so, uh, here's some of my brainstorming attempt doodles.
Tumblr media
Sketchbook is a glass prism because light refraction makes rainbows out of something that's clear, and drawing in a sketchbook makes something pretty out of empty pages. That's it, that's my logic. Theoretically Sketchbook could have been an iris agate as well, but I left that option for one of the fusions instead. Bit of an off-colour, but aren't they all…
Tony is a blue star sapphire, because sapphires in the show are associated with time through their future vision (or past vision, in Padparadscha's case) so it's reasonable to assume a star sapphire would be as well. Also an excuse to keep his face markings, to be honest. Not quite satisfied with the gem colour-wise but who's gonna stop me from taking artistic liberties on that?
Shrignold is a permafusion of a Rhodochrosite (associated with love, has variants that go from Sugary Pastel Pink to Raw Meat which I trust I don't have to explain in relation to Shrignold, haha) and an Aquamarine (considering the aquamarines already present in the show, butterfly theme and all), making a butterfly jasper (for obvious reasons).
Colin and Laptop are quartzes, because quartz is commonly used in computers and stuff (and to keep time!), at least as far as I know. It's a deviation from the show because I was never fond of the whole "every gem of this type has the same role and looks and body type and corrupted form" for quartzes especially. I had to actively keep myself from making them heinrichites because it looks like a circuit board and, well, you know. Computers! And for some reason I automatically associate anything lime green with Colin even though there is nothing lime green about him. But who knows, maybe I'll go back on that decision, everything I say is still subject to change. Gilbert is also there, by the way. He's an Azurite-Malachite.
Spinach Can is a moldavite, Lambchop is a red agate, Bread Boy is a bronzite, and I'm a bit on the undecided in terms of what Fridge ought to be. I sort of settled on scolecite. Didn't want to make it something as obvious as literal ice. Finally, Lamp Guy is a blue goldstone. It looks like a night sky, that's obvious enough 😂
🤫🤫🤫
Both Yellow and Special One are half-gems, a childrenite and a pink petalite respectively. Roy isn't a gem in this one, but you know me, I do love my AU variations, even if they don't ultimately lead to anything proper. He is inherently a citrine though, if you're wondering. And that's my favourite gem C:

Thess vs QOL Improvements
I think I said previously how a lot of people in the Wylde Flowers subreddit (and, hell, nearly any game subreddit) tend to want a lot of things in their game. Generally, those things are complicated to code at best, and don’t really add to the gameplay experience that much. However, there are some things that I think could be added to the game with minimal potential coding snafus. Given Reddit striking (I mean, I think the subreddit is still active but a boycott feels like a thing), I guess I’ll lay those out here. I mean, there’s only a couple? But I feel like they’d be good ones.
More jewellery crafting. Look, the gemstones you can dig up in this game are as follows: amethyst, topaz, sapphire, ruby, emerald, and diamond ... and, y’know, you can find pearls as well. Thing is, the only gemstones you can use when crafting jewellery are amethyst and diamond, and those are just recolours of the same jewellery mesh. So all they’d really have to do is do a few more recolours and bam - more jewellery to make, to wear or sell as desired. Granted, largely it’d be a popular one for wearing - amethyst doesn’t go well with all outfits, and people might like jewellery specifically coloured to go with their favourite items of clothing.
Different ways to make dyes. Another element of this game is clothing, and if you want the full achievement for crafting everything in the game, you have to make them all. There are a lot of outfits, largely recolours, so this involves a lot of making and dyeing cloth. Thus, dyes. Red, yellow, and blue are made by grinding up a variety of items in those colours - like, for instance, lemons and sunflowers for yellow, poppies and red clay for red, blueberries and blue tulips for blue. Problem being, if you’re keeping a lot of beehives going, you want to keep as many of your flowers blooming as possible, so you’re not necessarily going to want to harvest them, you get nine blueberries every few days or so during a couple of in-game seasons, and lemons ... well, a lot of animals’ favourite foods are lemons, and you need lemons for tanning solution for making leather, so you want a lot of that. Sure, you can grind harvest boost potions, but as well as making those three primary colours, you have to mix them to get purple, orange, and green. But why only grind those? Crocuses in this game are purple, and marigolds are orange, and there are a lot of things in general that are green. Why, oh why can’t we have two options for making those three other colours - one mixing primary colours and the other grinding up things of the appropriate colour? It would be a definite quality of life improvement, and I don’t think it would take much in terms of coding.
Alternatives for coloured cloth. Following on from the above, by the time you hit endgame, you’re trying to raise rainbow sheep and alpacas for rainbow wool to make rainbow cloth. By that point in the proceedings, if you’re making enough rainbow cloth to stockpile, would it be particularly difficult to be able to choose whether you want to use the particular coloured cloth or a bolt of rainbow cloth? In-game logic would say “It’s magic; it could turn into whatever colour you want it to”. Out-of-game logic ... there’s already a function where you can choose via a kind of drop-down menu what type of a particular element you want to use for your crafting. Like, if you’re cooking, you can choose which of the various kinds of eggs you’re going to use (with chickens, ducks, and magical versions of both, there are a fair few options), or fish with some recipes (and also for leather; fish leather is apparently A Thing). That means that the structure for that kind of selection is already in the game, so it might not take too much to expand it. Plus it would keep the gameplay balance pretty even when it needs to be, since you don’t get rainbow anything until Year 2 or so, and by then you’re mostly grinding for leftover achievements anyway.
More reasons to use Cat Familiar mode. Look, we have crabs all over the beach, the occasional seagull, and mice in the barn. More to the point, we have code for the cat catching things already - picking up small plants, catching fish and crickets. Why can Cleocatra (that is the name the game gave her; do not look at me like that) not hunt the damn mice?!? That could be where we get the bones she’s always throwing at us when we pet her from! It’d be fun to go cat and hunt crabs the way we hunt crickets. (Incidentally, maybe have crickets somewhere that isn’t across town?!? I have to blow an in-game hour running around as cat to get to the one spot where I can catch crickets for fishing bait.)
SHEEP MEAT. Lamb, mutton, call it what you will, but when you sell a sheep to Kim and they come back with leftovers, you don’t get meat - you just get hide, bone, and animal fat. SHEEP ARE EDIBLE. I mean, I get it with alpacas, but they added duck and pork recipes with the April update, both as options in meat-based dishes and their own individual recipes; why can’t we have lamb?
So that’s basically it. Really not much. There are a few other ideas but they would probably mess with gameplay balance too much and be harder to code. That’s the main thing, I guess; when I ask for things in a game, I like them to be things that could actually be done sensibly, and without too much potential to break the game, either through potentially problematic code or just balance issues. I don’t want to mess too much with the game I am really enjoying; I just want there to be a bit more reward for getting to the point in game when you’re swimming in resources and need to spend them someplace. I’m hoping for a Year 3 patch at some point, but I don’t figure that’ll be for a little while. I mean, the new animals (ducks, pigs, and alpacas) only came in April, and the Endless Seasons thing (basically being able to play past the point where there’s actual plot) was only December last year. If they want to code Year 3 content, they’d need to figure out how to implement it anyone not starting a new run-through. But that might not be too hard, I guess - all they’d have to do is have the new content go “Start This Next Spring After Year 2 Content”, and done.
I go down some very interesting rabbit holes.

i get the visual appeal of that rainbow gemstone post that's going around, and i don't want to be a dick under it bc people are just enjoying it, but also um. it's like. Full of errors. most notably fluorite being misspelled half the time (and listed twice on the green one, once as fluorite and once as flourite), iolite is listed twice (once as Lolite) on the purple page, corundum is listed on the red one as "ruby/sapphire" and "red sapphire" despite red corundum specifically being ruby (and all other species being [colour] sapphire, red is the only exception), multiple species of quartz/chalcedony are present under different names on the same page (eg. jasper and chalcedony on red),,,,

Explaining Realistic Nickel Alloy Secrets
Aluminium metal is one of the most abundant in the earth's crust yet located just in mix, chiefly as an ore called bauxite. It likewise takes place in gemstones such as topaz, garnet, ruby as well as sapphire. It is found integrated in over 270 different minerals. The metal is highly conductive and also has wonderful thermal properties and these homes are used for the different requirements of the markets. Aluminium is silvery-white in colour. The steel is used in various markets such as structure and building and construction, power transmission lines, photoengraving plates, pots and pans as well as other consumer items, tubes for lotions and also pastes. Global production of aluminium in the year 2005 was 31.9 million tonnes. This comes after iron consumption that was 837.5 million tonnes in the same year. Pure aluminium has a low tensile toughness, but if they are refined with proper warmth and mechanics, they can be the greatest metal. Alloys developed with copper, zinc, magnesium, manganese and silicon are made use of in different markets. Aluminium metal is thoroughly utilized in transportation market. The Forgotten Beast - Chapter 7
At the top of the boost ladder and with the rope in my hands, I put my hand through the rock, hoping the guards wouldn't notice the light my hand in the stone made. But thankfully, the brighter lamp light the soldiers were holding below drowned the soft glow of my hand going through the cliff.
I put my head through the opening and looked down, seeing a decently sized ledge only a couple of feet down. I brought the rope inside and tied one end to an overhanging rock and slowly fed the line through the opening.
One by one, my friends pulled themselves up and with my help, went through the rock face and dropped down onto the ledge below. Liam, who was the last on the rope, made sure the rope hung inside the cave so the Professor or soldiers wouldn't follow us.
We each pulled out our flashlights and scanned the cave. It was as I saw it before, massive dragon statues hanging over the chasm beneath us, all positioned at different directional points and faded with different colours. I pointed my light down, grateful to see the stone bridge leading to the cave on the other side was only another short drop.
My friends and I walked the long stone bridge connecting the cliff face behind us and the entrance leading deeper into the Temple in front of us. I looked around the Temple and noticed the fourth Dragon right above the stone wall we came through; it was a four-legged, two-winged Dragon with faded red paint, a symbol of fire carved above it.
Excitement and fear flowed throughout my body, excited to finally see the fruit of labour after these last few months, but afraid of what we may find.
We reached the other side of the stone bridge, staring at the ornate jade door, decorated with various symbols and jewelled with many Sapphires, rubies, emeralds and quartz gemstones. A faded golden symbol, the same one from outside on the cliff face, was painted in the middle.
I walked up to the door and was reaching out to open it when I heard Isaac call out behind me.
"You sure you should be doing that? We don't know what's on the other side of that door. It could be dangerous."
I turned back to him and retorted, "Well, that's why I'm the one opening the door. We didn't come all this way to wuss out at this door. If you're just going to complain, you can stand here and do it, keep an eye out."
Isaac glared at me for a moment before walking away and facing the entrance, mumbling something to himself which I only heard part of:
"... complain if we weren't stupid enough to follow you."
I shrugged that off, for now, promising myself to talk to him later about it. I turned back to the door and placed my hand on it, surprised to see it open easily with little force.
As the door opened the cavern brightened behind us in the same shades as the fainted paint on the four statues above. We looked up, staring at the lambent coloured statues and their shimmering white eyes.
My friends and I walked through the door and along the dim hallway, deeper into the Temple. As we walked deeper, the torches lining the sides of the hall mysteriously sparked and burst into flames as we walked on, each torch lighting itself at least two ahead of us.

Ok you seem like someone who might answer this but like what would a sapphire and pearl make for a fusion? I'm sorry I'm asking this but I feel like I need someone to tell me what they make together
I mean I’m always happy to make suggestions but absolutely don’t think I’m saying these like “Oh this and that would definitely make a ___” because they’re just suggestions I make on the knowledge I have of gemstones and minerals and there’s not a lot of information to go on about “fusion rules” in the canon at this stage. I personally think it’s more of a “there aren’t any rules” rule hahaIn saying that! I can say that a lot of people have used Larimar (me being one of them) which is a scientifically based guess put forward after Rhodonite was revealed as a Pearl/Ruby fusion. Rhodonite and Larimar share the same mineral group and since in real life Sapphire and Ruby are the same on a mineral level and only differentiated by colour and name it’s pretty fair reasoning in theory. However, obviously in canon Ruby and Sapphire are treated as two seperate gem types so that’s not necessarily a 100% formula to go off of.It was revealed awhile back that fusions choose their names, so really CG Ruby and Pearl could theoretically fuse and call themselves something completely different (although I feel like they would probably look pretty similar to Rhodonite in bodytype, possibly colour etc) so there doesn’t necessarily have to be a “this is wrong” or “this is right.” My suggestions are just to help give some ideas for those struggling to think of something on their own.To the original question, some other popular choices are Angelite, Sodalite, Moonstone... but again that depends on colours. Sorry for the rant, hope you got an answer in there somewhere! ✌️

And Sapphire for RU! Or, as she is now known, Sodalite!
Let me explain.
So, Rubies and Sapphires IRL are the same gem, just in different colours. Because of this, I feel like it doesn’t make a lot of sense for them to make a totally different gemstone when fused. So, for Rewrite Universe, Sapphire becomes a Sodalite - which, by the way, also has connections to clairvoyance!
Sapphire’s character doesn’t change too much, just her name and look. So if you love Sapphire, I hope you’ll also love Sodalite!

Top 5 Choices of Precious Gems to Embed in Fine Jewelry
Tumblr media
Though you can wear fine jewelry made just out of precious metals, it feels different when you have one or more stones embedded in it. It gives the fine jewelry enormous grace when it is adorned. If you are looking for fine jewelry with embedded stones, you can find a large variety at bijoux Myel. The most preferred stones for fine jewelry are: Diamonds Diamonds are considered to be the hardest substance existing on earth and are known for their beautiful sparkle. They are the most used gemstones in fine jewelry. These get qualified according to the 4Cs, which are the Color, Cut, Clarity and Carat. These versatile stones make a great setting with all the precious metals as well as other gemstones. They are available with a tinge of various colours. Rubies Red Rubies are also very popularly used in fine jewelry. They are very durable and their colours vary as per the saturation levels. Rubies of the finest quality have been known to fetch over $100,000 per carat. These are also evaluated on the basis of the 4Cs, the color being the most important in this case. A very dark ruby or a very light one will not fetch much value. Emeralds Emeralds are beautiful green stones that can be very pleasing to the eye. These are also evaluated based on the 4Cs. The color, which is the most appealing for emeralds, varies from bluish to pure green. The most favored shape for emeralds is rectangular owing to its crystal shape. A one carat emerald will generally be bigger than a diamond of the same weight. Sapphires Sapphire is a blue gemstone of the highest value. It is popular due to its beautiful color and shine and also for its hardness and durability. The basic mineral of a ruby and sapphire is the same, namely Corundum. Sapphires come in many colors, but if it is mentioned without a color prefix, you can safely assume that the stone being referred to is of the blue variety Amethyst Amethyst, which was at one time considered to be as valuable as Ruby and Emerald, lost its monetary value once it was discovered in large amounts. It is still considered to be a very popular gemstone. In ancient times, it was believed to ward off drunkenness. The colours of Amethyst have a range of shades between light and dark purple. The transparent deep purple stones are considered to be the best. With such a wide range of colorful stones waiting to be embedded in fine jewelry, why wouldn’t you want them in your collection? The entire wardrobe can be matched with one stone or the other. Look out for the charming stone jewelry next time you are out shopping. Read the full article

Buying Engagement Rings in Melbourne
An engagement ring is the most important and nerve-wracking jewellery purchase in your life, as you attempt to search for the perfect display of your love towards your partner. An engagement ring is a symbol that you want to spend the rest of your life with someone and it represents the first step on your journey towards the beautiful bond of marriage. A ring with such importance comes with a sizeable dose of pressure, with the sheer number of different choices on the market, and a craving to choose the perfect one. However, with the significance of this ring and the price tag attached, it is important that you know exactly what you are looking for before setting off on your journey. At Janai, we believe it comes down to six important factors: shape, setting, metal, gemstone, size, and feeling.
To find the best Princess Cut Engagement Rings Melbourne for you and your partner, you need to take into account all six.
Tumblr media
Engagement Ring Shape
As with any piece of jewellery, the shape is everything. After you have chosen your perfect gemstone, you must then pick the best shape to go with it. Luckily, there are plenty of options to choose from.
Round – The most iconic shape of all, featuring a cone with a rounded top and 58 reflective facets.
Princess – An iconic square with pointed corners.
Cushion – Much like the princess cut but with rounded corners.
Emerald – A rectangular cut with step-like facets. Works particularly well with high clarity stones.
Asscher – A cross between a princess cut and an emerald cut. Square shape with step-like facets.
Oval – As you can imagine, a gemstone cut into the shape of an oval with perfect symmetry.
Pear – Less like a pear and more like a teardrop, this cut has a rounded end that curves up into a point. Perfect for making smaller gemstones seem bigger than they are.
Marquise – Much like the pear cut but pointed at both ends with curved edges in between, said to be modelled on the smile of a woman.
Tumblr media
Engagement Ring Setting
The setting of your chosen gemstone can have a huge impact on the overall look of the ring itself, so it’s important to look over some different options to find your favourite.
Halo – A halo setting for your angel. This type of ring features a halo of smaller gemstones surrounding the centre-piece to create a vintage style.
Cluster – One of the more elaborate and eye-catching choices, cluster settings trade in one main centre gemstone for a series of smaller stones all grouped together, like a bouquet of flowers.
Solitaire – The classic and most popular option. Solitaire engagement rings feature one single centre gemstone.
Three stone – Also known as a trilogy setting, this features three separate gemstones alongside each other on one ring. This is said to represent the past, present, and future of your relationship together.
Tumblr media
Engagement ring metal
While the vast majority of people concentrate on the size and look of the stone when it comes to engagement rings, the metal used in the ring is just as important. Not only can the type of metal affect the overall price of the ring, but it is surprising how much of an impact it can have on the overall look and feel of the piece.
Platinum
Out of all precious metals used in engagement rings, platinum is both the rarest and the most luxurious option. While the metal can scratch, it will not lose any colour over time and it also offers a secure setting for your chosen stone. One of the most popular choices and offers a classic and classy feel.
White Gold
This metal offers a bright white finish to your ring, and is created by mixing yellow gold with metal alloys, which could include silver or platinum. White gold is known to go with diamond stones particularly well as the colour and shine complements the gem. White gold engagement rings are coated with rhodium to give them an attractive finish, but will need re-coating over time.
Yellow Gold
Also known as ‘gold’, this type of engagement rings has been one of the most popular throughout history, with the colour representing elegance, love, and luxury. Yellow gold engagement rings do not rust or corrode and is highly-reflective, which is why it is often paired up with diamond stones.
Rose Gold
A more modern style, rose gold offers a little something different away from the gold and silver engagement rings of this world. Rose gold is an alloy of yellow gold, with a higher percentage of copper added to achieve the pink finish. This creates a beautiful feminine and colourful ring, which is perfect for standing out in the crowd.
Engagement Ring Gemstone
When it comes to an engagement ring, the feature that often grabs the most attention is the choice of gemstone. While many people opt for the traditional and beautiful diamond, there are a host of other options in all kinds of colours.
Sapphire – Usually come in a gorgeous blue-purple colour, but can also be found in green, white, yellow, pink, and peach, Sapphires are often one-third of the price of a diamond and do not have the same sparkle to them, but they are equally beautiful in their own colourful way.
Ruby – One of the four precious stones, along with emeralds, sapphires, and diamonds. The iconic ruby red colour has long since been synonymous with love and marriage.
Tourmaline – The most popular variation is the light green tourmaline, with a slightly cloudy appearance which works particularly well on baroque or bohemian settings.
Emerald – Featuring an iconic and eye-catching green colour, emeralds are extremely popular in engagement rings.
Pink diamond – One of the most expensive diamonds on the market for a reason, the sparkling pink colour is sure to catch the eye.
Yellow diamond – Yellow diamonds boast one of the prettiest shines out of all gemstones on the market.
Engagement ring size
One of the most important aspects of engagement ring shopping is ensuring that it fits when you slip it onto your partner’s finger for the first time. Some ring designs cannot be resized after purchase, so it is important to get this right. Luckily, there are a number of ways to ensure that you get the perfect fit. If you are choosing your engagement rings together, then simply have your ring sizes measured in store. However, if you are keeping the ring a secret ahead of a proposal, the easiest way is to borrow one of their rings that you know fits well and have it measured. Alternatively, you can take your partner in to look at rings under the story that you are buying one for a family member’s birthday, and have them try on some options.
That feeling
Everyone wants the best engagement ring in Melbourne. No matter what the price, colour, stone, size, or cut, nothing can beat that first reaction and gut feeling. Once you see the perfect ring for you and your partner, you will know it. Always go with your heart, that’s the whole reason you need an engagement ring in the first place!

Time to buy something important for a special person--you know, show them you

 Jewelry is an
Intensely personal way to express style, even for guys.  (Do not attempt to tempt

the likes of Société Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels Inc., JAR,
Verdura, Hemmerle, and Viren Bhagat.  Walk through the heavy,

Rare secrets / Gems/ Natal chart /anśa/ what is required to analyse gems?/ Varna and Gender.
A very rare manuscripts describes gems as Male, female and of neuter gender. It gives very different clues regarding the same and which coincidentally matches with my post related to value of π. It also divides stones according to varṇa. Following are some very rare secrets regarding the same.
🦜 five gems are considered mahāratna (Ruby, Diamond, Emerald, nīlamaṇi and pearl are mahāratna). Gomedaka, Coral, Cats eye and Yellow topaz (puṣparāga, Gem of Jupiter) are called Uparatnas.
🦜 Gems are recommended based on Anukūlavada, varṇa and gender. Anukūlavada refers to benefic planets (lordship & placement). Bad lordship, bad placement of planets is considered bad for gem treatment. So gems cannot be worn for lagna ruler, 5th house or 9th house ruler just because of lordship (as is usually done by pundits). Every planet needs to be analysed at individual level. Then preference can be sorted according to gender and varṇa of stones.
Ansa positions (there is no house position in anśa), daśa patterns have no value, Ārūḍha lagna, Jaimini jyotiśa has nothing to do with gems.
🦜 Male gems boons with four puruṣārthas of life (Dharma, ārtha, Kama & Ṃokśa) and these gems are based on certain criteria. So even if rule 2 above is there, you have to look for male gems in the same category. Then according to varṇa of a person the gem colour or chāyā has to be decided which is difficult even for a gemmologist unless he studies the ancient granthas.
🦜 Triangular coral is actually a Ṇapunsak by gender. According to classics such gems lead to lack of progeny and poverty. Interestingly some scholars particularly prefer triangle for coral gemstone.
🦜 Female stones help in progeny and lineage.
🦜 Ansa positions of planets is just a division. There are no houses in anśa charts as is been taught in several courses of Jyotiśa. Any scholar well versed in jyotiśa can tell you that anśa (Navmanshas etc.) are reference points for analysis. So their houses, dṛṣṭi (which is not there) is nothing but dṛṣṭibhrama coined by scholars. As such their value cannot be used for gemmological analysis.
🦜 Good gems are expensive. They are clean, clear, non-treated etc. However, they produce good results according to placement of planets. Their varṇa and gender needs to be analysed during buying procedure.
🦜 Gems are afflicted by five dośa and five guṇas. (This requires knowledge of Gemmology)
🦜 Please not that if there is red dot inside Blue Sapphire which is sold as Raktaneelam (Popular selling phrase) is considered a dośa in gems. It leads to problems with progeny and problems in completion of desires.
🦜 Ruby has four varṇa and four classifications. Every padmarāga is different. The author is talking about corundum where red is kṣatriya and dark black is ksudra ruby. Yellow sapphire is Vaisya ruby and white is Brahmin ruby. There is Sanskrit word which is similar to corundum mentioned in ancient classics.
🦜 Yellow sapphire cannot be used for Jupiter according to above and Blue corundum or Blue sapphire is not mentioned for Saturn.
🦜 According to authors (several of them) blue sapphire cannot be nīlamaṇi, because it has four different colours. If we call it corundum then there is no difference between ruby and Nīlamaṇi which seems quite contradictory. A modern research is required in this case to understand the reality of nīlamaṇi.
“श्वेतनीलं पीतनीलं रत्न)[क्त] नीलमथापि वा । कृष्णनीलं तथा ज्ञेयं … ||”
Definitely the writer is not referring to blue corundum or blue sapphire which is now used for Saturn. So stone for Saturn must have been different.
🦜 in emerald the chāyābheda is used for varṇa which requires knowledge of gemmology. It is also used in opaque gemstones for varṇa division.
🦜 Gems with panca dośa (even if worn for benefics) and of neutral gender or if worn by vijatiya varṇa, then it results in problems.
🦜 It is interesting to know that gems such as Carnelian and Firoza were considered inauspicious no matter what quality they have.
🦜 People who wear gemstones blindly or without jyotiśa consideration or those people who are selling false hopes under the disguise of wise guides should go through above.

If you too wish to buy polki jewellery online, here are a few things you must know about polki:
1. Polki refers to unpolished diamonds. Hence, compared to diamonds, polki are lower in lustre and brilliance. They are set in jewellery and create a rustic, natural look. In Indian jewellery making traditions, polki is set in gold foil before being mounted in the ornament.
2. Polki and kundan are not the same. Kundan refers to glass stones while polki is diamonds. The brilliance of kundan comes from the reflection that is made by the glass when light falls on the stones. Essentially, polki classifies as gemstone while kundan is just a stone.
3. Depending on the occasion you want to wear polki jewellery for, choose the right style. For bridal jewellery, leading jewellers showcase designs in polki diamonds with large stones set in gold.
4. A classic choice for polki jewellery is polki paired with coloured precious gemstones. Rubies, sapphires and emeralds create a perfect contrast with the sheen of the polki diamonds, complementing its natural form with their dazzling colour.
5. Learn which type of polki setting you are buying. Traditionally, there are three different techniques for setting polki. Jadau is the most common, wherein the polki diamonds are wrapped in gold or silver foil before being mounted. The next most common is the takkar, in which the polki diamonds are placed side by side without using the foil as a covering. In the badroom technique, a gold jaali, or mesh is created in which the polki diamonds are set in the design of the ornament.
