The messages, included in a legal filing as part of Dominion Voting System’s $1.6 billion lawsuit against Fox News, showed that Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, and Laura Ingraham brutally mocked lies being pushed by former President Donald Trump’s camp asserting that the election was rigged.
In one set of messages revealed in the court filing, Carlson texted Ingraham, saying that Sidney Powell, an attorney who was representing the Trump campaign, was “lying” and that he had “caught her” doing so. Ingraham responded, “Sidney is a complete nut. No one will work with her. Ditto with Rudy [Giuliani].”
The messages also revealed that Rupert Murdoch, the chairman of Fox Corporation, did not believe Trump’s election lies and even floated the idea of having Carlson, Hannity, and Ingraham appear together in prime time to declare Joe Biden as the rightful winner of the election. Such an act, Murdoch said, “Would go a long way to stop the Trump myth that the election stolen.”
After the election, a furious Trump attacked Fox News and encouraged his followers to switch to Newsmax. And, in the days and weeks after the presidential contest had been called, they did just that. Fox News shed a chunk of its audience while Newsmax gained significant viewership.
The court filing also revealed that Fox News executives had criticized some of the network’s top talent behind the scenes. Jay Wallace, the network president, said that “the North Koreans” did a “more nuanced show” than then-host Lou Dobbs. Jerry Andrews, the executive producer of “Justice with Judge Jeanine,” referred to host Jeanine Pirro as “nuts.”

Hypocrisy of the first water exposed.
I'll be watching my sister closely. She's my Trump-lover barometer. If she feels betrayed by Fox she might be on the road to recovery.
But probably not...

"I'll go to my deathbed knowing that they lied. They looked into the State Senators' eyes - and the people of Georgia and people of America - and lied to them about this - and KNEW they were lying - to try to keep this charade going on, that there was fraud in Georgia..."
When Tucker Carlson said, "this is not a conspiracy theory," and when Laura Ingraham and Sean Hannity and the rest of the entertainment sycophants still at FOX echoed and continue to echo those same kinds of statements, then you can take it to YOUR deathbed that it IS all a lie, that they're ALL liars - from top to bottom - that they're ALL very KNOWINGLY liars, and don't deserve to be trusted to tell one iota of the truth. Ever!
Just like Donald Trump. And just like Rudy Giuliani. And just like every other christofascist MAGA supporter. Knowingly liars. Full stop!
Write all of their names down, and never forgive, and never forget. They are ALL very KNOWINGLY deceiving everyone that isn't one of them, and will look YOU or anyone or EVERYONE in the eye without a care at all...

Too many names. I ran out of tags...

...court filings made public yesterday that the most famous Fox News hosts and other senior staff at the network — including owner Rupert Murdoch — pretty much agreed with the rest of the reality-based world that widespread voter fraud claims around the 2020 presidential election were pure, unadulterated horse manure.  This is blockbuster news. It’s also completely predictable. These people are not stupid, and they are not completely disconnected from what the rest of us see. They read the same newspapers, even if they pretend not to. They hobnob in the New York media scene. Their kids often go to elite private schools. They just know that their business models — and their millions — depend on presenting a very different set of “facts” (as in, non-facts) to their viewers.  We now can read the words that the likes of Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, and Laura Ingraham never meant us to see. In the aftermath of the 2020 election, they were mocking Trump’s purveyors of the Big Lie, such as Sidney Powell and Rudy Giuliani, in their private communications.

The best part of Trump types pouting "why isn't the FBI doing raids over HUNTER BIDEN'S LAPTOP" is that...isn't the whole story that Tucker Carlson and Rudy Giuliani bought the laptop. The laptop they believe contains Satanic cabal photos. Evidence they're not turning over to authorities but concealing to promote their TV show.
Like if the laptop was real and contained real PizzaGate evidence (instead of just evidence of him being normal, famous-politician-relative levels of corrupt) the ones getting raided would be...Tucker Carlson, who would go to jail for possessing it? Bold swing but okay

(via Oh Lordy They Have Tucker Carlson's Texts - Wonkette)
I love documentation:
Here are some things Tucker Carlson is now on record saying, with some dates and juicy details:
"Sidney Powell is lying. Fucking bitch. " (Tucker to his producer Alex Pfeiffer, 11/16/20)
"Sidney Powell is lying by the way. I caught her. It's insane." To which Laura Ingraham texted back, "Sidney is a complete nut. No one will work with her. Ditto with Rudy." To which Tucker replied, "It's unbelievably offensive to me. Our viewers are good people and they believe it." (11/18/20)
November 13: The filing says Tucker wrote privately that Trump should concede, and was in agreement that "there wasn't enough fraud to change the outcome" of the election.
He called the election fraud claims "ludicrous" and "totally off the rails." (11/20/20 and 12/24/20)
When, just after the election, Maria Bartiromo started pushing Sidney Powell's bullshit about Dominion's voting machines — which was sourced from somebody who said they saw it in a dream and who thought the wind talked to her, among other things — Tucker said the "software shit was absurd."
He said it was "shockingly reckless" to claim Dominion rigged the election without any proof in a text to [REDACTED] on 11/21/20.
After the Trump White House and other conservatives started screaming at Fox News for (correctly) calling Arizona for Biden on election night, Tucker's producer Pfeiffer said people on their side were being "reckless demagogues." Tucker said, "Of course they are. We're not going to follow them."
However, on the night of November 12, when Fox News reporter Jacqui Heinrich correctly factchecked a Trump tweet about Dominion and election rigging, Tucker group-texted Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham saying, "Please get her fired. Seriously .... What the fuck ? actually shocked...It needs to stop immediately , like tonight. It's measurably hurting the company. The stock price is down. Not a joke."
The night of January 6, Tucker texted his producer Pfeiffer that Donald Trump was "a demonic force, a destroyer. But he's not going to destroy us." And then he had the MyPillow Guy on his show on January 26 to blab more conspiracy theories. Said literally all the lies Tucker absolutely knew were lies. Tucker didn't push back.

...Hunter Biden is going after John Paul Mac Isaac, Rudy Giuliani, his attorney Robert Costello, Stephen K. Bannon, Garrett Ziegler, Jack Maxey and Yaacov Apelbaum.
In a separate letter, Biden’s attorneys have also asked Fox News host Tucker Carlson to retract and apologize for what they say are false and defamatory claims made repeatedly about him on-air, including implying without evidence that he had unauthorized access to classified documents found at his father’s home.

..."I don’t usually post on Sundays, but another stronger than expected performance by Nikki Haley warranted me weighing in a bit this morning.
Trump Is Not Strong, Or Winning - No Red Waving 2024 Please, I wrote:
Let me say it plainly - Donald Trump is not ahead in the 2024 election. He is not beating Joe Biden. He is not in a strong position. Signs of Trumpian and broader GOP weakness is all out there for folks to see - if they want to see it.
It’s my view that something broke inside the GOP when Dobbs happened. That even for many Republicans, it was just too much, the party had gone too far, had become too ugly and dangerous. And in the elections since Dobbs we’ve had this basic, repeating pattern - Democrats overperform expectations, Republicans struggle. It happened in 2022, and again in 2023, and is now showing up again in early 2024. We flipped that Orlando state house seat last month, and won bigly in NY-3 last week, overperforming public polls by at least 5 points. Biden/DNC has much more money than Trump and the RNC, our party is unified behind the President and polling for our top Senate candidates remains very strong. As I like to say:
Joe Biden is a good President. The country is better off. The Democratic Party is strong and winning elections all across the country.
Trump and the GOP on the other hand are showing all sorts of signs of deep, institutional weakness. They had disapointing elections in 2018, 2020, 2022 and 2023. They are replacing the entire leadership team at the RNC due to their ongoing struggles. The RNC is broke. State parties have atrophied and have crashed in key battleground states. Dozens of party leaders in critical states have been indicted for trying to overturn an election. Trump keeps losing in court, badly, and he and Rudy now owe $700m. Trump is burning through cash at unprecedented rates. Haley outraised him last month. Republican House Members are retiring in droves - abandoning the burning MAGA ship. They could go on.
Tumblr media
But what should worry Republicans more than anything else now is how Trump is repeatedly underperforming in actual elections this year, and the polling from these early states keeps finding profound reservations in a large segment of the GOP about supporting him in November. Here’s data guy Adam Carlson last night showing that Trump has now repeatedly underperformed public polling by 7-8 points in these three early states:"
