September 25, 1967:  Recording, mixing The Fool On The Hill.

Early on during the session, the Beatles were visited by two members of the Japanese media, photographer Koh Hasebe and reporter Rumiko Hoshika from magazine Music Life.  While the Beatles began rehearsing The Fool On The Hill, Koh took photographs and Rumiko recorded brief interviews with each member of the group.

[My transcript, excuse the errors as the audio is low quality:]

Paul: “Hello, readers from the magazine. This is Paul speaking from London England saying to you, ‘Hello Tokyo’. I love you and, um, I hope the weather’s nice. And...what are you filming, [inaudible] Fuji? Something like that. Wonderful to see you, nice to see you. [Rumi asks about The Beatles coming back to Japan]. Oh, maybe, yeah, maybe. [Where?] Oh, I don’t know yet. [Rumi asks something, inaudible]. Well, I am good. Yes, well, maybe. Okay. Thank you.”

George: "Hello, readers of the magazine. How are you? Happy nineteen sixty-seven! Lots of love. Uncle George. [Rumi thanks George] Okay.”

Ringo (I think): “Hello. To all the [inaudible] readers... Yes. Hello, readers. [unintelligible, possibly ‘This is’] Ritchie. How are you? Uhm, thanks for the lovely time you gave us when we went over there. And maybe we’ll see you soon, right?” 

George (I think:) “Hello, Rumi. It’s nice seeing you when you came to London. And I hope your show on the radio is doing good and I hope you’re playing our records. Thank you.”

John: "Hello, Rumi. This is John saying 'hello again'. Uh, remember when we saw you in London, remember that? It's great seeing you. Leaving this little message for you. Good-bye!"

Paul: "Hello, Rumi. This is Paul McCartney speaking. I hope you can understand me because I'm speaking English. And I know you don't speak very much but, uh, I'd like to say hello to you and all the people in good ol' Japan. And... uh, hope you’re okay because we are over here."
