I've never really thought about it, I've always read it throughout MANY posts-, Henry's clothes; at first I actually thought it was a rendering error or something, or this bitch just wanted a big jacket (big pieces of clothes are comfy-), but after seeing people bully him for it so many times made me realise that him buying bigger clothes to make himself look bigger is both hilarious and adorable. Like he's trying not to seem weak and small, like he can't hold his own. He's like a cat puffing up its fur to seem bigger and to intimidate its enemy.

(I just had a moment of realisation-) with how he grew up and all the things he's faced, like having to leave Sicily and be put into an unfamiliar place where he knows no one, forced into a helpless position. Even down to Vito (someone younger than him and someone who is more impressionable) who's taller than him, he's trying to make himself look bigger and scarier so no one can take advantage of him or assume things of him. Then him keeping (or at least trying to keep) his calm and wise persona in line to add on to his physical appearance, to impress his superiors and to make himself look durable and collected.

I'm looking into this way too enthusiastically, because what if this man just wants a big and cosy suit jacket- (that he COULD hide in but-)

I just feel like if someone told him to square up he would take it way too seriously. Like, I'm not saying he would stand on something to make himself taller- but.

Edit: Henry by rare chance takes his jacket off and Vito compliments him and how he looks with his shirt and waistcoat and he considerably loosens up about it. (But seriously- take that jacket off Henry- roll up those sleeves. YOU TOO EDDIE-).
