I want people to stop calling books problematic for talking about SA. It is not bad to talk about it. It is bad to endorse it, but talking about SA in itself is not evil. I think something a lot of survivors want is to talk about it. I want to talk about SA, I want to just want to talk about how autonomy is so easily striped from a person because it’s something that I know so well. I know the pain, I know the trauma that follows, I know the fight that survivors have to endure. That is why I love reading books that talk about this shit. Whether that is fantasy, contemporary, or just plan commentary. I want more people to talk about it and I think that when people immediately say that a book is “problematic” because it has that stuff in it; it’s just another way that is silencing survivors of SA.
I swear everytime I read a new episode, I want to re-read it again. Writer growth, character growth, learning how to love yourself and your mate, making a marriage last through ups and downs, gentle parenting with doses of tough love. I could go on and on.
I've been streaming a little less lately because I've been working on stuff off-stream to make my streams in 2024 better. Here's a clip of one of those things!
Basically I really enjoy having as interactive a chat as possible in my TTRPG streams, so I'm adding more things like this to make chatters feel like they're a part of the game.
It was October once more and that meant Merasmus was at it again. He was more forward this year, simply facing the mercenaries himself rather than summoning some demonic eyeball or the like. The mercenaries fought him as valiantly as nine misfit murderers could, but the Spy had gotten hit with a beam during the fight and immediately disappeared.
Spy had been missing for about a week before he finally showed back up again. He looked haunted when he returned and didn't explain to anyone where he had been. He shut himself up in his smoking room even more than his usual self and could occasionally be heard talking to someone behind the closed door. Wherever he went had clearly affected him somehow.
Now, there’s been a LOT of stuff which is already done, when it comes to my fanfic journey here. Though, I’m sure there are things/tropes/AUs which haven’t been written.
Let me know if there is any particular trope you want me to write, whether it is with our beloved Tony Stark or anyone else I write for. You know the drill!
Also, should we do Christmas prompts this year? I’m ready with a few reblogs for emoji prompts and dialogue prompts etc., I’ll come up with drabbles or one shots, depends on the request. And start posting as soon as I can.
