Are the Hills supposed to be this Silent?
(I'm aware this is so sketchy and utterly trash but I was convinced to finish it and finish it I did)

costar reader and bella messing around on set of tlou?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
costar! reader, platonic and romantic, gnreader!,
i adore this idea <3 making this for some of us who just wanna be friends with bella.
platonic
i know damn well everyone would be looking for you guys on set just to find y’all in a corner making tiktoks. i can’t be the only one who thinks bella would 100% be down to make funny tiktok dances with you. lmaoo i can see them doing the “my blickyyy uponnn the dresserr” trend.
boredom is something you and bella have banished from set. you have a 2 hour wait in the middle of the woods. y’all are picking up sticks and fighting each other. playfully obviously but someone’s definitely gonna get hurt in the end. it’d start by you finding a big stick and challenging bella with a “HUSSAH” and she’d immediately match your energy, running off to find her own stick. y’all would get told off for getting ur clothes dirty (you end up rolling around in mud and dirt). bella simply shrugs it off reminding them you’re both literally on the set of the last of us. bless ur stylists fr
the perks of being on the set of tlou is that you guys get to shoot in some really cool places. when bella can she rlly loves using the camera you got her for their birthday. always makes you lose in front of the pretty views with big mountains in the back. has embarrassing an embarrassing video of you spilling down a hill and getting your entire ass handed to u. you’ll get her back by sneaking photos of her and pedro sleeping with their mouths open lmaooo. you two are always sneaking photos and documenting the whole experience, smth everyone will be grateful for later on.
romantic
although you both try to remain as professional as possible and not let ur relationship get in the way of ur actor duties. you guys r the cheesiest and cutest mfs on set. will steal kisses right before director yells “action” (can u guys tell ik nothing abt being on a set lmaoo) you guys are famous for taking ur naps together when you have time and are exhausted. two idiots, sleeping in their chairs, hand and hand.
giggle attacks. i know the crew is SICK OF YALLLL. you’ll say one stupid joke and you’re both GONE. cut the show, end it, done for the day yall r menaces. bella will try her best to hide her giggle into your shoulders but it’ll just make u laugh even more. will shush you, finger to her lips. tries everything she can think of to get u to stop. puts both of their hands on your face and tells you to take a ‘deep breath’ and whilst making eye contact. YALL WERE ROLLLINGGG ON THE FLOOR.
if you forget a line, even once, you’ll never hear the end of it from bella. they’ll find it the funniest thing on the planet and will tease you relentlessly for it. silent treatment mode activate‼️‼️ will genuinely beg for ur forgiveness once u don’t budge “babe no pls i’m sorryyyy, cmon tell me what will make this better? cmon how can i get you to forgive me hmm?” lots of pouting they’re soo cute. but you’re STUBBORN. “hmm how bout some kisses?” boom you got her exactly where u wanted her. she’ll attack your face with kisses until you break out in giggles. will continue to do so until you pry her off you. “yeah? my prtty bby likes kisses?” you give her one big long kiss before pulling away. “yes idiot, i do like your kisses but istg stop making fun of me now”
bella is so gf it acc makes me blush deeply sometimesss. i love writing about how it would be like to be around cuz they seem so fucking lovely

Fatemi giocare a SH2, maledizione.

Propaganda under the cut.
Jacob's Ladder:
The most frightening thing about Jacob Singer's nightmare is that he isn't dreaming.
"This movie was an inspiration for silent hill and it shows ! The creature are very disturbing and even more than we never really know where they come from and they can arrive everywhere from a party to the window of the subway. And the threat of the protagonist becoming like them is present even if it isn't the main threat of the movie. I also really appreciate that they're not use just to be gross and repulsive but to actually be eery and disturbing. Also this movie is just an incredible gem to be watched"
Eraserhead:
Be warned. The nightmare has not gone away...
"Just like look at that thing"
"The Eraserhead baby is my sweet sweet darling baby angel and *I* think it's a delightful little cutesit. I do understand why people think the prop that MIGHT have been made out of a rabbit carcass but no one's sure because David Lynch won't tell is gross tho"
"what was the baby made out of in eraserhead? truth is, no one knows. I'm fairly certain david lynch himself has no clue, and the only reason he acts so mysterious about it is because he doesn't remember. the current most reliable theory is that it was a cow fetus (keyword: theory) but what the fuck? david had people purposefully wear blindfolds on set so that they wouldn't see the actual prop being prepared for filming. he says he "buried it" somewhere in a field after the production wrapped. who "buries" a film prop???? i mean, if anyone, it would be dave alright. the baby invokes a sense of body horror like nothing else, because it looks genuinely so alien and just wrong in every way. sure, there's no bombastic gore, no truckloads of blood nor puddles of liquified organs, but the stupid fucking baby more than makes up for it. and on top of that you get a GREAT movie from a GREAT director. I love david lynch so much it's unreal and you should too. it is his most spiritual movie, he says. when asked to elaborate on that he just said "no"."

Top Ten Gougars of All Time
I don't know how to explain the complicated linguistic evolution of slang in a Discord server but I know that it is very much akin to how salamanders in underground cave systems turn white and lose their eyes, hyperspecializing to an ecological niche to the point that they are destroyed when agricultural runoff pollutes their primordial cave water. Anyway basically we have ended up referring to a specific class of horror movie guy as a gougar, and in the interest of using this term in further posts I will give examples of some of our favorites.
10. That weird little baby from Phenomena
Tumblr media
Argento apparently thinks of Phenomena as one of his best films, and I kind of don't. I think it was like highkey kind of ableist as a matter of fact. But the part at the end when they're fighting on that boat and he's trying to GET Jennifer Connelly with his little knife-on-a-stick contraption is funny to me.
9. The Byebye Man
Tumblr media
Do people still think the Byebye Man is funny? I know it was a huge meme on here when it came out. Am I old now? Anyway I'm really fascinated by how absolutely terrible this film was, down to the minutiae. If it came out today I would accuse it of having an AI generated script. I would like to give a shoutout to Mr. Byebye's pet dog that's made of hamburger for some reason.
8. Snake Woman
Tumblr media
I know she's from a manga but bear with me. This bitch is fucking fiendish. She's actually scary. I think if I was like a little 6-7 year old girl and this thing showed up pretending to be my mom I would have nightmares about it for the rest of my life. Therapy could NOT fix that.
7. This Specific Halloween Prop
Tumblr media
Yes I know it's the image from The Russian Sleep Experiment. Yes I know The Russian Sleep Experiment sucks and isn't even scary. That does not change the fact that this thing is freaky as hell. It does all the heavy lifting for that shit ass story. There are very few creepypasta jpegs that are still unsettling outside of their original 2000s imageboard context and this is one of them.
6. Mr. Boogie
Tumblr media
I like the first Sinister movie, my friends seem to hate it, life goes on. However, we can all agree that Mr. Boogie (née Baguul) is an iconic gougar. The only reason he's not higher on this list is that his competition is so stacked against him. We're getting into the real heavy hitters.
5. Newt Gingrich's wife
Tumblr media
:(
4. Mesmer
Tumblr media
Cure is one of the best films of all time and if you haven't seen it you need to go watch it right now. This guy doesn't show up in person once in the whole fucking movie and he's still like one of the most earth-shatteringly creepy gougars ever written. It's like a yuri of absence thing. Horror vacui.
3. The Fucked up Guy From Possession
Tumblr media
This thing turns into a real(ish) guy later but holy fuck, when it first shows up. It's like a cross between a dick and a hammerhead shark with John Carpenter Silent Hill textures. It's so, so viscerally unpleasant. We weren't expecting it either, because the film hadn't had any shit like this right up until you get full frontal with it. Isabelle Adjani has sex with it. To each their own.
2. Pazuzu
Tumblr media
So the demonic entity in The Exorcist wasn't like actually onscreen or named until the disastrously terrible second film, but then in the 'Director's Cut' edition of the original, they added in these blink-and-you'll-miss-it cutaways to this dude in vaguely expressionist white face paint. Due to RedLetterMedia's lambasting of the "I am... Pazuzu!" scene from Exorcist II, he has become a permanent fixture in our collective horror schema. Every time anything even vaguely scary happens, whether in a game or a movie or perhaps my house, it gets blamed on Pazuzu. Often we mock terrible horror writing/jumpscares by saying it was Pazuzu. At this point he's just a guy we hang out with.
Dr. Freudstein
Tumblr media
I don't even want to mock Dr. Freudstein because he literally is just one of the most disgusting, unsettling horror villains I have ever encountered. The only time I have ever been actually nauseous while watching a film was because of him. I cannot think of a more iconic guy. Fuck Freddy, fuck Jason, there is nothing in any of their films even half as scary as when Dr. Freudstein starts cry-mewling like a little baby. This guy was in someone's basement! He could be in your basement! Fulci is a genius for making someone (something?) so creepy.

Hi hi! I was tagged by @nigmos to list my favorite movies 18 days ago (I swear it was only 2 days ago last time I looked! 😱 time goes by so fast!) so here they are!
I think I’ve done some variation of the favorite movies tag once or twice before, but some of my picks are different now, because when I really think about what I consider to be my favorite movies, they’re the movies I’ve watched over and over and generally refer to as my “comfort” movies. I realize looking at this list that most, if not all, of these may be odd to refer to as “comfort” movies, but I’ll explain below. Feel free to skip! (because I go into A LOT of detail). replies welcome and encouraged! Tags also below the cut.
1. Beetlejuice / 1988 / Director: Tim Burton I love this movie so much it’s hard to explain, but I’ll try to keep it short: I used to consider The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993 / Director: Henry Selick) my favorite movie because I used to watch it all the time with my dad, but as I got older I found it less comforting and didn’t really agree with it as much, though I still think it’s pretty good. Beetlejuice, on the other hand, I also used to watch all the time with my dad, but I didn’t understand it when I was younger, I just liked the imagery and aesthetics. As I got older, I understood it more, and I really like the story and what the movie has to say, both very obviously in the script and in subtext and general implications. Lydia and Delia are both iconic, the portrayals of death and the afterlife are a lot of fun, and it’s just good all around. Every time I catch it on TV, I drop everything and watch it (Even though I have a physical copy of it that I can watch whenever I want).
2. Interview with the Vampire / 1994 / Director: Neil Jordan My mom used to read the book this movie is based on to me as a bedtime story. It’s one of her favorite books and movies, and when she showed me the movie version when I was little I was just completely enamored with it, even though I, again, didn’t really understand it until I was older. I’ve since read the book on my own several times (it’s my one of my favorite novels, oops.) and I think this is a pretty faithful adaptation, and just a good film in its own right. You don’t need to read the book to understand it, and it drags at times, but it has a lot to offer! I watch it at least a few times a year and even get cravings for it when I’m feeling down.
3. Corpse Bride / 2005 / Director: Tim Burton Another one I used to watch with my dad all the time. I think it’s a really beautiful story too, and I appreciate it more and more every time I watch it. One time when I was really depressed I watched it two times right in a row and cried both times (at/about the ending). No kidding. It’s good shit.
4. Sweeney Todd / 2007 / Director: Tim Burton I think I was around 10 when I first saw this movie. I was pretty close to my cousin around this time and her older brother played the soundtrack in his car when we’d all hang out, and we were both VERY into the movie—until Twilight (2008 / Director: Catherine Hardwicke) came out and she flaked on me and liked Twilight more, lol. I was immature about it at the time, but I’m over it now; we just have different tastes and that’s okay! I can watch it whenever I want with my bestie @pinacoladasims now, because she likes it just as much as I do. :)
5. Silent Hill / 2006 / Director: Christophe Gans Another one I was introduced to by a cousin. I used to watch this one all the time with my mom. I didn’t play any of the games it’s based on until much later, but they’re even better, and I’m so glad my cousin introduced this movie to me! It’s not the best one on this list, but I still go back to it from time to time.
6. The Grudge 2 / 2006 / Takashi Shimizu This is another one I used to watch all the time with my mom. Its the second in the Americanized version of the Ju-On movies, which I’ve also seen, but I still like the American movies just a little bit better. I played the DVD of this movie on repeat one time when I had stomach flu and couldn’t stop puking. Its pretty cemented in my memory because of that, along with the taste of Sprite and 7-up.
FINAL THOUGHTS: My parents are both horror junkies, if you can’t tell, and my taste in movies has been HEAVILY influenced by that. My dad’s favorite director is Tim Burton, so I’ve seen a lot of his stuff as a consequence. I know he’s problematic in a lot of ways, but I do like his movies a lot. Ditto for Johnny Depp; good actor, less than spotless record. I think it’s okay to like things made by problematic people as long as you’re aware of it and what you’re putting in your own head. Anne Rice (author of the Interview with the Vampire novel), isn’t perfect either, and neither is her work, but nonetheless, I still like it very much.
That’s all! Thanks again to @nigmos for tagging me! I tag @pinacoladasims of course, @simnostalgia, @s1ndle, @oceansidegraveyard, @fireflowersims, @penig, @furbyq, @nervosims, @kristallisims, @brokendoll-simblr, @vipercanyon, and whoever else sees this and wants to do it; just say I tagged you & tag me in your post so I can see your faves too! I know some of y’all have alt blogs, so feel free to do the tags on those if you want to keep them off your simblrs. And if you’ve already been tagged to do this recently, feel free to skip! Have fun!
