Akira Kurusu in back in Meguro, ripped from the first place in years that he's called home, forced to navigate the town that hates and scorns him for a crime he was found innocent of. Not home. That place wasn’t home. This was home. Home was a nice, quiet little café in Tokyo and an apartment above the medical clinic right down the street from it. His home was with his friends, his new family, this city.

It was with her.

Akira takes Tae out on one last date before he gets sent back, and he wants to make sure it's one to remember.

Hey, look at that, another fic up!   And it’s my first foray into the Persona series, which I only just got into recently starting with 5.  I’ve noticed a deficit of Akira/Tae fics, and apparently the consistent hill I prefer to die on is one of rarepairs.  Go figure, right?

The story itself is a one-shot, but I do plan to do some follow-ups.  I just wanted this one separate because I feel as though it works well enough on its own.
