ENCYCLOPEDIA — We do.

ENCYCLOPEDIA — When we move, we tend to 'shed' pages; generally, they seem to originate only from the outside of our body and will only appear if whatever is moving is moving in the opposite direction to a surface that can shed. ⠀⠀So, for example, in the images above, if we moved our arm downwards, no pages would come out. They almost act as though they've fallen out as a result of the movement. Apropos of nothing, can you recommend any silent stim gadgets? Would like to give some to my sister as her current stims are mostly A Bit Not Good (of the self-inflicted variety), but if they make noises (clicking, rattling, etc.) then it will rapidly drive my mother up the wall until she ends up destroying them.

stimtastic was the favorite of everyone i know who likes stim toys and the like, but i think it’s been shut down now? in terms of quiet stimming things chewables are one that i know are generally pretty popular (just be sure to find one that’s like, mouth-safe—check places that sell things for teething maybe? or maybe a good alternative to stimtastic has cropped up i’m not positive), and similarly, rubber bracelets you can like yank on repeatedly are quiet, maybe with beads tied off on them in different places to fidget with.

if anyone has recommendations for places they tend to get something like that, feel free to drop them in the notes, i’m sure anon isn’t the only one who would love to hear it
