and lets say they're all planning something devious or like a surprise or something, someone will suggest something involving u and another is like "nah, you know how dad is about her. he'll ground us all for life" which is obviously a joke because chris doesnt believe in grounding his kids

which leads to this next point: you guys dont even ground your kids. you punish them a lil maybe by like taking their phone or something but your kids are pretty well behaved overall

when theres babies, hes always making them giggle by doing silly things like pretending to be a rock star and play on his fake guitar (bonus, he makes the sounds with his mouth like a little kid aww)

Actually I have 2 swap AUs. A true swap and a partial swap. In the partial swap, only Chica and Freddy switch places with Foxy and Bonnie respectively. The rest of the characters and world are slightly altered because of this change, but otherwise the story continues as normal. With Gregory coming to the Pizzaplex and the overall back story of the AU remaining the same.

Meanwhile in the true swap, which I haven't drawn yet.. everyone is paired with someone and swaps places with them. Freddy and Bonnie swap, Chica and Foxy swap, Roxy and Monty swap, even DJ and DA swap. And most importantly, Gregory and Vanessa swap. Which means that everyone's role and design are completely swapped.

And this means that Gregory is the adult sus security guard, and Vanessa is the scared little child living in the basement.. 👀👀

That's a good question, hmm.. Well, I guess I'll go in order.

Gregory's fears cant really be revealed for lore reasons, but Freddy's can. Freddy has a lot of fear surrounding Gregory. He fears for Gregory's safety, his health.. but most of all, he's afraid of the others finding about about Gregory. If the others found out about him, surly they'd call security, right? If that happens Gregory would be taken away by Vanessa. Which would destroy Freddy..

Now Chica, Roxy, Monty, Foxy and Bonnie don't.. really have a #1 biggest fear that I can point out exactly.. or at least I cant think of any atm..

But DJMM? He doesn't have a biggest fear per se, but he is worried sick about the Daycare attendant. He hasn't seen him in months by this point. And no one has really told him anything straight. He has no idea why he's been gone for so long and if he's okay or not.. :(

And DA's biggest fear is definitely being caught in the dark. He knows very well that something is wrong with him and that he doesn't act like himself when in his moon mode. So he is terrified of the dark and does everything in his power to avoid it..

Monty and Roxy do look different in this AU, although they still run the Golf course and Raceway respectively.

As for the bots meeting their other selves.. I image swap Monty would be rather surprised by his counter parts severe temper. OG Monty is so crushed by grief and shame that he's just constantly angry and lashing out. Also because of his shame he has closed himself off all these years which has only made his anger worse..

In the swap AU, Foxy was there for Monty. They became best friends and really helped each other through the grief and pain. Foxy helped Monty with his anger and in present day he's a really mellow person. Just sore with grief but not angry.

Meeting the others as well, OG Bonnie would be surprised by how.. mean his swapped form is.

Swapped Bonnie comes off as a real jerk. If you try to talk to him he'll either just stand there with a vacant stare and refuse to look at or talk to you. Or he'll be short and rude with you and just overall have a vibe that says "I don't want to talk to you, leave me alone". After every performance he just sneaks off to his room and stays there all night. If anyone tries to talk to him about coming out of his room more often or engaging with the group, he just snaps back. Telling them to leave him alone. His and Foxy's friendship has greatly suffered in this AU..

OG Bonnie would be floored by this version of himself. Bonnie would never speak to his friends like that. He would never brush them off if they were standing outside his door in tears. Begging to just talk to him. He couldn't believe the way his other self was acting..

But the thing is, Swapped Bonnie is just under an extreme amount of stress and pressure. He is an Animatronic that was designed only for smaller groups and a more quiet environment. He is a naturally slow animatronic and has a really relaxed personality. The only times he would be put on stage in front of a big crowd is every few weeks or so when the band would do a big performance together. Then right after it was back to the slow and relaxed bowling ally..

But after Freddy's accident, he was put on stage in Freddy's place. Bonnie is now on stage every day. Huge crowds, lights, noise, constantly on the move, go go go, noise noise noise- Bonnie come do this- Bonnie take this picture- Bonnie sing these 3 songs- Bonnie move that- Bonnie come over here- Bonnie sing happy birthday- Bonnie its time for another performance- Like-- it never ends!!

So whenever Bonnie has the time, he just completely shuts down. If he has a 5 minute break to just stand here? He's going to stand completely still and not do or say anything. If he gets to go to his room, he's going to turn off the lights and sit in complete silence for as long as he can. Any time anyone tries to talk to him he just pushes them away. The last thing he wants to do in his free time is more talking, more processing, more movement. He just wants to be where its dark and quiet..

Swap Bonnie is being pushed to his absolute processing limit, every. single. day. If you were constantly being overwhelmed and pushed beyond your limit every single day, for years? Well you'd probably be a grump and just wants some peace and quiet too..

I could go on with the others, but these paragraphs are already super long- <XD Maybe in another ask if anyone is interested!

In the OG au and the Partial swap AU, Sun and Moon are the same person. There are no separate animatronics or separate personalities. The "bug" just only really seems to effect DA when he's in his moon costume. And in the Partial swap, no it doesn't effect his Sunny side..

Although in the true swap? It might actually switch and effect his sunny side instead.. 👀👀

0___o; Well uhh... so here's the thing about Paani. No offence to anyone who likes him, but personally? I reeeeeaaaaalllly don't like Paani. :x

The first episode just gave me a really sour taste in my mouth. And I just haven't been able to like him since 😅

I have intentions to add him to my Octonauts stuff in the future. But what I plan to do is re-write/make an AU about above and beyond which involves uh.. removing everything I don't like about it.. Including Paani. :x

I mean he'll still in it!-- But my AU will completely rewrite his character and remove all the things that people criticize him for. He will basically be Paani 2.0, and will be a completely different character... I feel bad for wiping his personality clean off my AU, but maaaaan I just cant like Paani, sorry! 😭😭

I might not be understanding the question here, so my apologies-

My Gregory and canon Gregory are very different characters for a few reasons. For one, I completely rewrote the events of the game so they did not experience the same things while at the Pizzaplex.

I also made up a backstory for my Gregory that justifies him being more shy and skittish then canon Gregory seems to be.

I also didn't like how evil/gremlin-ly Gregory is in canon/fanon. So I thought screw it, I don't like canon/fanon Gregory being a lil turd, so I'm just going to make my own Gregory that acts the way I want him to <XD

XD Aw, that's a nice idea. But poor Bonnie might be embarrassed to have a hook put on his stubby arm. It might just make him look tacky and draw more attention to it. Poor Foxy might have to keep his hook for now :x

You know, Bonnie likely did have a few custom bowling balls made just for him. But who knows where they are now.. Rockstar row? Somewhere in the bowling ally? In a box in the basement somewhere? They may never know.. :(

Episode 5- February 27th, 2021- 10th Chuckle Lore 🎉

Lore(?)-

20:28 Charlie plays golf and Ted spies from afar. Every stroke Charlie goes over par, Ted breaks a finger/shoots a puppy (wether he does both of these or switches off from one to another is unclear)

36:29 Schlatt is stuck in the atomic cube. What exactly is the atomic cube? I’m not sure, all I know is that it also has atomic locks.

There used to be a fourth member that no one else remembers

37:47 Charlie mentioning money reboots Schlatt

49:32 Charlie is in the Void Dome and he can’t remember the face of his own mother

The reason I added (?) to the lore is because I’m not sure if I can consider it canon. Throughout the episode Charlie mentions that is isn’t a episode recording but instead a practice run to see what jokes they will include for the real episode and in the end Ted reveals that he was secretly recording the whole time which leaves me in a pickle. Schlatt and Charlie were playing along with all the bits/potential lore BUT that was when they thought this wasn’t an official episode, the validity of this episode’s lore is rocky at best but there is some lore that is much more definite…

With the reveal of Ted secretly recording episode five, we get more firm confirmation of Ted’s morally dubious and manipulative character.

Also Charlie making various remarks about how he was probably not going to be in the next “real recording” shows how much he did not want to be there and was most likely an attempt to leave the podcast all together. Not to go all Matpat mode over here but it seems fairly likely that Ted is making Charlie be in cs against his free will and possibly Schlatt too to an extent considering both men have discussed their distaste of Ted in previous episodes (mainly episode 2). I believed that Schlatt is under a contract and is being paid just enough to stay meanwhile Charlie is more peer pressured by Ted to keep going.

Thoughts:

Jumping back into an older episode after watching a streak of the newer episodes definitely threw me off. The editing in this at times almost felt like they were jangling keys in front of me so I can keep watching and the worst part is that it worked. There would be times that I would start to zone out and all of a sudden Ted has Hatsune Miku’s hair or a sound effect goes off and I am paying attention again.

Also this episode put in perspective how much current cs shoves in sex stuff. The whole I was just waiting for some kind of sex joke or ten minute long gag about how Schlatt wants to put his junk into something and to my surprise, there was nothing extremely explicit, I don’t even think anyone said the word fuck in the whole episode. The only explicit reference we get is when Schlatt moans after high-fiving Charlie too hard and it was the funniest part in the whole episode. This is probably a hot take from me but I think cs is becoming over saturated with sexual stuff and bits like the high-five moan would not of land half as hard if it were placed into current episodes. If anyone wants to have a discussion about this I am more than happy to talk to y’all.

Overall I think this episode was fine, it had its iconic moments but I don’t think I would actively search for it, 7/10, :)

Things I noted:

I miss the fanart in the beginning of the episodes. I want it back so bad.

Schlatt’s voice sounds higher(?) than his voice in newer episodes

Ted’s hallway kept changing colors

Older episodes were DEFINITELY caters to visual watchers

I’m so upset that I can’t tell if this episode is canon or not because there being a fourth member that was erased from existence would of been so cool for the lore.

This theory is about how I think the Hard Mode versions of the Ruins enemies foreshadow the secret bosses of Deltarune!

After watching P-RiSe's theory video on the Human Souls (check them out BTW they were the one that inspired me to make this theory) I think all the Hard mode Bosses from Undertale are foreshadowing the secret bosses from Deltarune!

Reasons why are because since P- RiSe pointed out that each one of the enemies in the ruins & their hard mode counterparts as well parallel the 7 Souls. (I'm excluding the Bosses/Mid Bosses here though)

Vegetoid = Green Soul. It can heel you with green bullets (AKA the Kindness ability) and it's themed after a vegetable, (in Vegetoid's case it's a carrot) which are a type of food. This Parelle's Kindness with them having used to be a chef/cook. Heck Vegetoid even says, "Eat your greens!"

Whimsun = Orange Soul. It seems like the opposite of courage at first. But when you realize that facing your fears is an act of bravery. (and considered even braver than fearing nothing) It starts to make a bit more since. Epically since it's hard mode counterpart (Whimsalot) who is a knight that never backs down. One more thing Whimsun's end game text is "Braver Every Day!"

Loox = Magenta Soul. Loox is well…A giant eye, and since the Magenta Soul human was one that wore glasses (which a common insult/nick name for people that wear then are called 4 eyes) we can make a connection there. What helps is that it's hard mode counterpart is called Astigmatism which is an eye disease. (There are some themes of being a reformed bully, so I wonder if that ties to the Magenta Soul)

Moldsmal = Blue Soul. Its end game text is "Backup Dancer" witch ties to The Blue Soul since they were a ballerina. There are also themes of beauty here and since ballet is often tied to beauty & grace, this could be another theme that connects the two.

Migosp = Red Soul. It has themes of being a jerk but it's not really since it's said to be with the wrong crowd. This ties to the whole gimmick of Undertale & even what Chara is actually like. It's Frisk's (and the player's) job to show monsters that not all humas are evil. Sure, there's an option to kill all the monsters in the genocide route but that's considered the bad ending. Chara is stereotyped by the fandom as evil because of the Genocide's route's ending but if you took the time to look at all the lore the true lab brings like the fact after the accidently killed their adopted brother, they sacrifice themselves to save monster kind.

Froggit = Cyan Soul. It's hard mode counterpart Final Froggit is royalty themed and the Cyan Soul's Golf discerption is "The dethroned "Ball" with a sharp attack" this could tie into them. There is even on Froggit that asks you to be Patient enough to not skip through its dialogue.

And The Dummy = Yellow Soul. The whole joke is that it's cousin (the Mad Dummy and later Mad Mew Mew) is out for revenge! And since revenge could be seen by someone doing said revenge is an act of justice. (Heck The Dummy's Overworld sprite is even yellow like the color of the Yellow Soul)

I noticed that the Hard Mode versions might have some Parelle's to the secret bosses! Which a theory is that all the secret bosses use a different Soul color in there fights!

Jevil = Migospel. Migospel is a clown just like Jevil. And Migospel has themes loneliness, like how Jevil is all alone in a prison cell since his best friend was the one who put him in there. Migospel is also known to be hiding it true feeling behind a mask of laughter like Jevil's nasalism about how he knows he's in a video game.

Spamton = The Mad Dummy/Mad Mew Mew. In Deltarune an item that is needed for his boss fight is a mannequin that has a resentence to Cat/Puppet attacks. And since for some reason Spamton has the Cat element this ties to Mad Mew Mew being a Cat Robot. Spamton even has the Dummy motif in his battle theme. Spamton also has these spirit-like attacks which ties into The Dummy & Mad Dummy/Mad Mew Mew being ghost that are just possessing Dummies & Robots.

With all this information out of the way we can predict what the 5 other secret bosses are like! (we can have some help from some other theories like seven deadly sins theory and the secret bosses also being inspired by the main bosses from Undertale)

If we fight, them in the Order of the Fallen Human Backwards then here is how I think it goes!

The Secrect Boss that utilizes the Kindness ability will be Greek mythology based and seems to have a bossy attitude! She'll be a girl that is selfish and has a corrupted since of justice. This will be the chapter 3 secret boss! (Since I feel like The Green Room is hinting towards the Kindness Soul)

The Secrect Boss that utilizes the Perseverance ability will have a theme of reforming and/or eyes. Since Chapter 4 will most likely take place in the church, this could mean the secret boss is based on a biblically accurate angel. She could be based of Muffet (not a main boss but is the only fight that utilized the Magenta Soul) and be apathic and lazy. And she is a girl as well!

The Secrect Boss of chapter 5 will be based off Papyrus, will use the Integrity ability, and will be another boy. He might be related to Jevil and have themes of he could be based off an Incubus and boss fight might have some Lovecraftian horror elements with rearranging his face. He could also be a known liar & have villainous intentions!

The Final Secrect Bosses could be based off Asgore and Torial and both can use the patients & bravery affects in their battle. They are a couple who are a king & his knight. The king is brash while the knight is a coward. The knight could have anger issues, while the king is power hungry and might be the face with the pink and yellow eyes.

This sounds cool, I see how the themes of the different souls are woven in and kinda perverse to make each boss antagonistic. It reminds me a bit of the recent-ish analysis video by Shayy on the ‘dark side of the soul traits.’

The fact we got Yellow Soul ability in two deffo convinces me of the Each Boss = Each Soul theory, if it does happen it would be interesting to know why, or what it will lead to. What’s its significance?

This is me just brainstorming now but we see how the Shadow crystals collected after each secret boss allows Kris to see some sort of alternate/mirrored reality by looking through them. I wonder if, similar to UT how collecting 7 souls break the barrier, if the 7 shards will break the ‘barrier’ between the light and dark world? Eh Who knows

I was wondering why you guess Chapter 4 will take place at the Church? Nothing against it i’m just curious. I need to learn from Church/Alan theories because I just haven’t considered it as much😅

GAD I really like reading your analysis on Earth and Monty. Like yes! It's very surface level and it really do be feeling like they're just together because of the VAs. The whole opening her to romance and such is just bleh, why is it somehow always a trope for female characters who don't have any experience with love to have that happen to them when they get a love interest? At this point, I am BEGGING for Davis to come up with an OC or something that he can utilize in the flow of the current lore AND be a better love interest for Earth because holy shit.

This is not to say that Earth doesn't have her imperfections here. Recalling when Lunar came back and he said that Monty would chase him around and hit him with a golf club, and Earth was immediately "What? That doesn't seem like a fun game." And Lunar said that Monty was just joking. Then Earth said "I don't think that's something to joke about. It doesn't seem funny." Like what happened to that? Why is she all "hehe you're silly" when Monty makes shares a violent thing he did or what she thought was just a violent joke now?

Yeah, Like I don't know man.

It's highly unlikely they'll come up with another oc or something to make the relationship work.

I mean, I can accept Monty for now.

Like he helps Earth realize some things about herself. But I kinda don't like the throwaway jokes of

"haha... Monty's violent and she looks past that isn't Earth wonderful"

It just kinda... idk, sometimes makes her feel like a background character when Monty gets involved. Especially in MAFS

I love Earth, but I wish she had more agency.

Usually when Monty is written in LAES, he's fine.... Like the kiss episode was cute, the most recent Laes episode where she talks to Monty what her feelings are about her dad and her past with him are good....

but if there's an Earth and Monty episode written in MAFS....... it's a sign to run. (at least for me.)

I wish she had a serious discussion about things Monty does that upset her instead of brushing them off, or rolling her eyes and ignoring them. Or just putting a pin in that for later and later never comes.

I know I'm one of the few who advocate "just cus it's off-screen doesn't mean it didn't happen." (Like Sun's therapies everyone complains about that I personally think are expertly handled)

But they've shown a lot of Monty and Earth's relationship, I don't get why we can't just get more of those discussions other then "why do you like me I suck" from Monty.

I mean, I'll see where it goes, but.... idk. It's just an element that's here.

Doesn't ruin much for me.

I will say tho, I think Monty had way more chemistry with OldMoon even if they brought out the worst in eachother, I kinda miss that dynamic... But Solar as at least fulfilling the role of NewMoon's smart soundboard and willing ear now.... When previously Monty filled that role.

i am a 21 year old intj 1w9. i'm 5'8 with brown hair (plus some highlights), brown eyes and skin that lightens in the cooler months and tans in the summer.

personality-wise i'm meticulous about structure, keeping organised etc and like to make sure i have multiple different plans in place for everything but if it comes down to it i can make sound decisions if i have to improvise and be spontaneous. i grew up as the only child so i'm used to figuring things out on my own and i generally have a stiff upper lip that obliges me to stay independent (no agonising personal lore or anything it's just the way i am). i have a somewhat sarcastic sense of humour and can warm up to people and enjoy banter easily and i like to think i have jokes 😌✨ but i'm an introvert who recharges by spending time on my own. i consider myself to be fairly efficient and one of my favourite things in the world is the feeling of contentment at the end of a productive day.

i do quite a few sports, incl. track and field, clay target shooting, sailing, golf, tennis, baseball and basketball. my hobbies include reading and writing (the given ones considering we are all here), backpacking, playing the guitar, learning new random skills, going out for walks/jogs while listening to music, beating friends who don't know how to play chess at chess and the occasional pub crawl. i sometimes sing but i have very limited range.

i'm currently finishing up my final year of university where i'm studying english and will be going onto graduate school to study a masters in literature and arts in september!

Okay the second I read this I knew I was going to match you with Ron. Either him or Lewis, but I can see so many similarities between the two of you.

first of all I feel like your features being a similar colour would make you look so good together. Ron is fairly tall himself, I’m assuming around 6ft, so he’d still be taller than you.

I feel like he’d be a lover of your height, I’m assuming you have long legs and he’d fine that superrrrr sexy, like he has to try his best not to check you out during PT sessions.

I feel like Ron would first see you when you’re jogging or on a run, maybe training or doing Currahee. He’s super impressed, but obviously he can’t say or do anything about it because he has to remain professional, plus he’s from a different company than you are originally, so he doesn’t have a CLUE who you are.

for a while I think he’d definitely admire you form afar. Your independence and intelligence is something Ron finds admirable. Plus you’ve got those athletic long legs and cowjfoodwoiw he’s averting his eyes once again.

Of course you’d know him, the man, the myth and the legend himself. I think after a while in the war, he’d be a little worried you’d heard the rumours about him and view him as some war criminal so he definitely steers away.

When he becomes Easy’s commanding officer in Foy, I feel like the two of you would interact more, and because he’s noticed you from afar he feels NERVOUS.

Ofc he’d never let this on because he’s your CO he can’t. Hence why I think in future a lot of interactions between you is done in private.

You sound like you have a super good sense of humour, and I feel like your sarcasm and banter would go well with many of the men in Easy, especially those like Luz, Liebgott, Guarnere- so you’re a very popular, prominent figure in the company.

Ron may overhear some things you say and find himself smirking along- you’d catch him and share small glimpses that literally would send fires igniting in your throats.

When the war in Europe is declared over, I feel like you’d spend a lot of time alone outside to unwind. The weather is beautiful and you could pass your time reading or writing. Ugh that sounds like such a nice way to relax and recharge your social battery.

one day there’s something blocking the sunlight from you, and you’d glimpse up and almost SHOUT from being startled that Ron Speirs is stood above you.

I think despite him feeling a little awkward at first, he’d never let this on, but he’d maybe approach you to say he’d found a book you dropped or something casual. It’s a PERFECT conversation starter, and I think the two of you would warm up to one another pretty quickly once the conversations start.

I can picture it being an early morning, the sun is rising and you can tell it’s gonna be a warm summers day, so you go for a jog, and bump into Speirs doing the exact same thing. He’s all breathless and sweaty and omfg no he looks too good.

you’d end up walking to grab a drink together, maybe you end up sharing the same water bottle or something intimate, and you can both tell there’s an immediate spark between you two.

similar to you, Ron feels the exact same contentment at the end of a productive day, so I think even if you’re still friends, you’d complete tasks together, you’d grow closer and everybody in the company can see- but anything more than that is kept behind closed doors.

I think Ron would be pretty upfront with his emotions, when he knows he knows, and he’s not afraid to tell you. He’s confident with his emotions specifically around you, and he hopes the same in return from you.

the relationship would be a slow burn, but that makes it all the more exciting and loving and sensual omfg he fancies tf out of you. He’s a patient man, so never rushes or pushes you into ANYTHING.

I feel like when he’d kiss you it would be so deep and so passionate every single time, he’d be cupping your face, holding your head- omg he’s too good I can’t.

but if you need time for yourself he’s the first person to respect that- he too craves alone time to recharge, so even if you’re sat in the same room just doing your own thing it’s perfect for Ron.

however, I think Ron would slowly become to realise how attached to you he is. He’s not clingy or annoying, but all I’m saying is that he’s a HUGE fan of cuddling and physical touch. He finds nothing more intimate than being close to you whenever he can.

He spent the whole war trying to emotionally detach from humans, and then with you he can’t outwardly show his emotions in front of anybody else, so at the end of the day he loves nothing more than just being able to wrap himself around you in bed and engulf you in the biggest hug ever.

would snake his arm around your waist when he’s behind you and keep you close, pressing kisses to your cheek in the most gentle manner ever.

fakes sulking when you’re sarcastic with him, but he’s surprisingly good at bantering- the man can be ruthless so I can imagine the two of you having a great laugh.

I feel like the two of you would work out together or go for runs, whenever you’d play any form of sporty game there’s always a competition between the two of you which is so so fun.

whenever he hears you singing he thinks your a god damn Angel, he feels like he’s gone straight to heaven and finds it super relaxing. Maybe he’d even tear up over it, but he never lets you know that…

I just feel like the two of you together would truly be perfect, you’d have such a relaxed and tranquil relationship, I truly believe Ron is such a gentle man and lover- so he’d be so soft with you. Then again, I believe he’s got such a playful cheeky side to him which balances you out perfectly, you’d have such a laugh together and he would truly admire you like no other.

Hi there! I am in Florida, and at this very moment, trying to dissociate from hurricane Ian that is beginning to hit my town. 😬 So I figured I'd distract myself by asking for ships. If you see this elsewhere too, I just...don't like talking about myself very much so I'm only writing this once.

She/her, INFP, Hufflepuff. 5'2, generally pale, curvy, but not overweight (yet, lol), blonde hair (but it's currently The Little Mermaid bright red, lol), blue-green eyes. I love my hair and my eyes and this is the only thing you'll ever hear me say I like about my appearance.

My favorite thing about myself is my sense of humor. And to a lesser extent, my sarcasm. I never really feel I have much to offer people, especially in difficult times, but I can make my friends laugh when they are crying. And a few weeks ago one of my good friends said to me that every time she goes home after spending time with me, her husbsnd says she is always in such a happy mood. And that was just like...the nicest thing anyone could say to me. 💜 I am an introvert until I am comfortable with someone and then I can be loud and frequently silly. Years of customer service in my past made me decent at bullshitting small talk, but ugh, it drains my batteries. I will get along with anyone who isn't an asshole, but I do not get close to most people easily. I don't like conflict, so I can get passive aggressive with people I'm close to if I have any issues over something. Trying very hard to change that, as I know it's not a great look.

Other random shit about me: I have anxiety, but (I think) I've learned to hide it well in public most of the time? My brain is just a fucking mess, but I will joke about it all day! 🙃 I love all animals. I'd cuddle an alligator if it wouldn't eat me. I've got cats, dogs, rats and a bunny. I've wanted a horse my whole life. My favorite author is Neil Gaiman. I love going to the beach and swimming in the ocean. I love museums and history and learning about lore/fairytales/monsters/cryptids. I love Marvel movies/comics, Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. I occasionally do conventions and cosplay, though I'm not very good at the cosplay bc I cannot sew. Lol. I've been Rose and Amy from Doctor Who and Kate Bishop (Hawkeye). It's really fun! I wish I were better at it. Love bowling and mini golf. Sadly, none of my friends do.

I love music and going to shows used to be my thing! Like I've seen over 100 bands and concerts. I don't have the time/money/energy to do it anymore, but those were absolutely the best years of my life. I've traveled to other states and across the country for a couple of bands (The Matches and Motion City Soundtrack) and made some of the best friends just waiting in lines. I have one tattoo and it's a crow with a blue button eye that the singer of my favorite band drew for me.

There are so many reasons I see this ship working, so I'm gonna try to explain them all coherently lol

Okay, first of all, when I say Nixon loves you, I mean all of you -- your personality, your looks, everything. He would constantly be complimenting your appearance and making sure that you know how gorgeous you are, because he wants you to see yourself the way that he sees you

Sarcastic duo (but not in a mean, argumentative way! The fun, only teasing each other way) He loves your sense of humor, and if he's ever a little too in his head, he comes to you because he knows that you'll be able to ground him by just joking around with him and making him smile

When you first meet, he thinks that you're very shy and is trying to figure out ways to bring you out of your shell so that he can get to know you better. The second that you get comfortable around him -- bam! He's the immediate embodiment of the heart eyes emoji, because omg she's so much fun and I'm gonna talk to her for hours

Nix is pretty comfortable in public places -- he grew up attending parties and galas because of his parents, so he knows how to politely work a room if he has to make an appearance. He knows that you get anxious, though, and he'll hold your hand the entire night, gently rubbing his thumb along your knuckles to soothe you as you make the rounds while socializing

After the war, Nixon is really intent on just enjoying himself -- in the various different ways that entails. And now that you're together, he's gonna make sure that you enjoy yourself, too

He takes you everywhere (and don't worry, because he can afford it -- no worries about sparing any expense) You want to go to a museum? Not really his scene, but he loves watching your face light up all day when you learn something new. You want to go to the beach? He's rented a boujee house for the week. You want to go to a concert? Front row seats. Everything is an adventure, and what's better than having an adventure with someone you love?

At some point, he thinks it might be nice to settle down somewhere. Or at least to have a nice place to come back to. You're a little surprised by how big the property he buys for this purpose is, and when you tell him so, he just smirks, "Well, where else are we gonna put the horses?"

He's obsessed with your red hair, like he thinks it's the coolest thing ever and it looks so good on you.

You're alike in the sense that you both need to be comfortable with someone before you feel like you can really be yourself.

Of course you two seemed to click right away. You both made a few sarcastic teasing comments and it was like you'd been friends for years.

He's always quick to remind you of your worth, and how you always seem to brighten people's lives without even trying

He totally get that sometimes you just need time to yourself to recharge, and he's always happy to just sit quietly with you or leave you do your own thing in your own space. You'll come find him when you're ready.

No matter what you say, he thinks your cosplays are great and he's always super encouraging.

He's ridiculously competitive, and loves nothing more than trying to beat you at mini golf. He scoffs and acts annoyed when you beat him, but really he just loves seeing you smile.

I think the drivers' fandoms make a big mistake when they are hellbent on considering the drivers best buddies with each other at all costs.

So of course if there's tension in the team, they assume there's tension between the drivers.

The reality is that drivers are colleagues and rivals.

They are not supposed to be best buddies, we all saw how that ended with Lewis and Nico.

Charles said the driver he's closest to in the paddock is Pierre, but even then they rarely hang out together out of races (even less during the off season, I don't think I know of one instance where they were together; maybe it might have happened but out of pure coincidence)

Pierre also said Charles is the driver he's closest to, but in a video with Yuki he mentioned someone else as his best friend.

Danny Ric and Charles met in Vegas off season by pure chance.

You get me?

They are friendly and nice to each other, but they are colleagues and rivals first and foremost.

It's not that they're fake, they're simply professional and mature enough to not let rivalry get in the way of being decent and nice to each other.

So yeah I think that even with the recent drama, the relationship between Charles and Carlos is the same as ever, because they were never super close to begin with on a personal level. As teammates they seem to be, but as friends I don't think so. And they don't have to be.

One exception that comes to mind is Kimi and Antonio. In a video Kimi was bidding Antonio goodbay because it was his last day. His wife and children were there too, and Kimi told his kids they would see Antonio soon in Italy for their holiday together. Antonio hugged Kimi's children goodbye. It was all very sweet.

I've never something like that even from Carlos&Lando or Max&Daniel.

And I would never expect to.

I think you are right about most of the drivers. Like I am friends with my colleagues in the sense of us making jokes and stuff and we do sometimes do stuff away from work but their not like my bffs for life.

I'm not 100% in tune with the brocedes lore, but them being teammates and the only ones in the championship battle didn't help.

Charles and Carlos are somewhat friends because they do do things together outside of work sometimes. As do some of the other drivers, like the golf/twitch quartet gang.

Charles and Pierre I would actually call really good friends. They've known each other for such a long time and done some real growing up together. I don't actually see some of the people that I call my closest friends all that much but that friendship is still there when we do see each other. So I wouldn't be surprised if it were that kinda thing.

We also need to keep in mind that they don't share everything they do with us so they might spend time together and we have no idea. Like unless lewis had talked about it I would've never thought that him, Charles and Pierre play (maybe played I have no clue) COD together.

The other thing is they spend a lot of time travelling, so they do spend some time together at GPs and such and then when you are home you just want to see the people that don't travel with you. So I get not wanting to see the same person in your off week that you see during work.

But yeah, I think most of them just get along great together and have a lot of fun and I would call that friends. But not the let's braid each others hair and spill all our deepest darkest secrets friends friends.

And that's alright too! They don't have to absolutely love spending all their time together.

Housewife of the Year: I had to deep clean the house for Mom because I knew I'd be too tired/wouldn't have enough time later in the week. Everything but the room is done! I'm curious to see if I can keep it clean for a week without my stinky boyfriend around! Stinky boyfriend: I cried when I read Nick's note this morning and again when I was organizing his stuff in the medicine cabinet. I know he's only been gone for a few hours, but something about knowing I won't see him for over a week has put me in a contemplative funk. The truth is I don't think about our relationship too often because I feel so safe and happy inside of it. My brain leaves all its conceptual bandwidth for things like "do all my friends hate me?" or "did that thing I said at a party eight years ago offend anyone?" But jokes aside it is nice to have some space to think about Nick and I and how many exciting things we have coming up. Now I'm going to cry again!!! Maybe I'm Getting My Period: It would be really good timing to get my period this week.

What I Ate: Bagel with spinach and egg, ginger kombucha, greek salad (50% off from Provigo) with salmon. Will have LIVER for dinner! Debbie Lore: I talked to my Mom on the phone and she casually dropped one of her epic stories. Apparently my Dad came to the house once in the middle of the night and screamed at her about taking Nicole and I away. She slapped him and he called the cops. When the officer came the next day he called my Dad a LOSER and asked my Mom on a date! They went golfing! Listening/Watching: I listened to SALEM when I was cleaning. I only know about them because Lana Del Rey dated the singer. They're actually fire and would be great to listen to when KISSING. I think I'll watch Lost in Translation tonight because I've never seen it and the mood feels right. Till next time XOXO

Borderlands’ movie adaptation stars Cate Blanchett, Jamie Lee Curtis in sci-fi journey

Borderlands, the video game franchise that defined the looter-shooter genre, is poised to get its own cinematic universe — and it’s about time. All six base games in the series are well-loved by fans for their fantastical lore and quirky characters, who you better believe will be making their on-screen debut with director Eli Roth’s upcoming film adaptation of the franchise.

There’s still a way to go before the film hits theaters this summer. In the meantime, IGN sat down with Roth and Randy Pitchford, founder of Gearbox Entertainment and an executive producer on the movie, to talk all things Borderlands ahead of tomorrow’s first official trailer release.

And if that weren’t enough, IGN can also exclusively reveal the new poster for the Borderlands movie, as shown below.

From the way Pitchford and Roth interact, even on a video call, you’d think they were brothers. They both exude the same fun-loving goofiness that makes Borderlands, well, Borderlands. To me, this was best exemplified by the way the two creative continued to interrupt one another with comedic anecdotes about their time on set.

But jokes aside, the two mesh well on a professional level which bodes well for this video game adaptation. Roth was given extensive creative liberty on the project while Pitchford was on stand-by as a resource to provide deeper insight on the original series.

Obviously, it’s Randy’s baby, it’s his brainchild, and it’s everybody’s brainchild,” Roth said. “You’re stepping into a world that is so beloved and the fans are so hardcore that you think, ‘Okay, well, I really don’t want to screw this up.’”

Thankfully, Pitchford was open to pretty much everything. Roth recalled how Pitchford was even receptive to the idea of keeping Claptrap alive and entertained the Cabin Fever director’s various suggestions for how the robot might be able to expel bullets: “Is it like a tail goes up and… are they little rabbit pellets?”

In truth, it’s a blessing this adaptation was made, and it speaks highly to Pitchford’s faith in Roth as a director. Since the start of his career in the games industry, Pitchford said he’d been turning down requests to adapt his studio’s work into film. Ari Arad, who is now the producer of the upcoming Borderlands movie, came to Pitchford with several iterations of the script before the deal was sealed.

“Finally, we were playing League of Legends together one day, Ari and I. He was the support and I was the ADC,” Pitchford explained. “We were talking on chat, like on Discord, about the possibility of a movie while we were playing.”

(In an ironic twist, the Gearbox Entertainment founder clarified that he was playing as Caitlyn, who he says “was completely ripped off from Mad Maxi from Borderlands, by full comfortable admission of the Riot team.”)

From there, the two began to play video games together frequently, which gave Pitchford the confidence to finally sign off on developing a film adaptation of the Borderlands series. (So I guess business deals don’t happen on the golf course anymore.

As in the game, the upcoming film will take place on the fictional planet of Pandora for an action-packed adventure featuring some of the franchise’s most beloved characters. In this all-new interpretation of the video game series, viewers will see the red-headed outlaw Lilith unite with a team of unlikely heroes to locate a missing girl who could change the fate of the universe.

“At a certain point you just have to pick, these are our characters, this is the story we’re going with, and let’s just make the best one possible,” Roth told me, reflecting on the decision-making process of what characters would appear in the upcoming film.

Because the movie is not canon to the video game series, the creative team behind the Borderlands movie had free reign to select from the unique cast of characters across the franchise — some of whom don’t appear until later games in the original storyline.

The film features a star-studded line-up of performers led by Academy Award winner Cate Blanchett as Lilith alongside Ariana Greenblatt as Tiny Tina, Jack Black as the voice of Claptrap, Jamie Lee Curtis as Tannis, Kevin Hart as Roland, Florian Munteanu as Krieg, and Gina Gershon as Moxxi.

Other additions to the full cast list include Edgar Ramírez, Bobby Lee, Janina Gavankar, Olivier Richters, Cheyenne Jackson, Benjamin Byron Davis, Charles Babalola, Steven Boyer, Ryann Redmond, Paula Andrea Placido, and more.

“I was like, ‘Find me the weirdest, gnarliest people. We’ll put them in the movie.’ And everybody, they loved it,” Roth said.

Roth and Pitchford shed light on what it was like convincing some of these actors to say “yes.” We obviously had to find out what made someone like Blanchett pull the trigger on a project like this, and the answer is, honestly, heartwarming.

In our conversation, Roth likened the Tár actor to one of the three greatest female performers in history. Their working relationship dates back to the director’s 2018 fantasy film, The House with a Clock in Its Walls, in which Blanchett starred alongside Black. So, when it came time to figure out who would be a fitting lead for the Borderlands cast, there was no doubt in Roth’s mind that the Oscar winner was the best pick.

“I think with me, she has permission to go a little bit weird and a little bit insane because it’s like, ‘Well, it’s Eli,’” Roth said. “It’s just like, ‘Let’s go have fun.’ But she’s obviously very serious about her character.”

For Curtis, the decision to join the cast was largely spurred by her gamer daughter, who is a fan of the Borderlands franchise, saying “‘Mom, you have to do this movie,’” as Pitchford recalled.

In Black’s case, the roots run even deeper. Back in 2012, he brought his son to E3 when Borderlands 2 was first being teased. Black asked Pitchford for a demo of the game, and the Gearbox founder told him that he would have to play Claptrap if a film adaptation of the franchise were ever to be made. The Nacho Libre star, of course, readily agreed.

“Whether you’ve played a Borderlands game or not, it’s a fun movie. It’s a really, really fun movie,” Pitchford said.

Borderlands will be released in U.S. theaters by Lionsgate on Aug. 9, 2024.

FF14 Stormblood thoughts

Lets see, I posted my running commentary on wrapping up Heavensward in Oct '22 so it's been a while. My friend and I got busy and took a break from the game.

A long time ago I forget who posted:

which now that I've finished Stormblood I understand, and that's with skipping a bunch of non MSQ stuff.

I'm so excited for Shadowbringers, it was impossible for me to dodge spoilers since people I follow for D2 were posting about it, so I'm going into it knowing a lot of the big spoilers while the friend I play with has no idea. So I was very excited to see a certain skunk haired character pop up post expansion patch.
