Bittoria Basquemada: The Bitter in Bittersweet

Make way for Bittoria Basquemada, the mature and dignified in-game villainess of Sugar Rush. As cold as frozen cheesecake, this lady’s elegant but calculating demeanor opposes Vanellope’s brash but sweet nature, and this sugar-and-ice contrast leads her to believe she would be a better fit for the throne. Her drive to become the ruler of Sugar Rush is nothing short of handy when challenging Vanellope. Her strategic intelligence makes her a cunning obstacle on the track, all while retaining an image of grace. Dropping the villain act outside of arcade hours, however, she is sweet at heart and deep down has a motherly soft spot for Vanellope, although she refuses to admit it.

finally finished the 3d-esque style render for my burnt basque cheesecake-themed Sugar Rush villain OC! Very happy with how she turned out! I’m not sure how exactly I should talk about her lore in its entirety and how she fits into the whole WIR story, but perhaps that’ll be a separate post once I have her other design posted too!

“Wait-other design?”

Yes, indeed! This is Bittoria prior to Turbo’s machinations on SR. Basically he messed with her code too because he found her motives to usurp the throne a threat to his own motives, despite hers only being for the sake of the game. Still though, Turbo took interest in her scheming wit, finding her to be someone that could aid him in his own usurpation and ensure the longevity of his reign. Reprogramming everyone’s memories and the world of Sugar Rush, Turbo made the former ruler a glitch and the former villain his royal etiquette consultant.

Okay that’s enough lore for now! And yes this is where the oc x canon shipping comes in um yeah I ship her with Turbo (her programmed age is 30. idk if you can tell but she has “sharper” features than the average SR racer. also, taller than the racers and is the same height as King Candy/Turbo) 😭 but uhhhh more on that later I guess! hopefully I can get to her consultant design soon! first I’ll work on a reference sheet for her villain design tho so stay tuned! 🖤🍰🤎

Sugar step au - au where sugar rush is a dancing/rhythm game and the sugar rush racers are a dance group and vanellope does hip hop and breakdancing

(still working on taffyta tbf)

also turbo used to be apart of another dance game called Turbo Tunes and is basically pullin the american race seperation thing by only having the black dancers dance their hearts out once a month (yes i took this from hairspray i was inspired to make this au caue of it) and Vanellope wants to dance her hip hop and breamdancing but cant cause shes a glitch

however she soon becomes friends wih minty zaki and swizzle who tire of only being playable once a month and dream to join the other dancers of sugar step to dance as well she also befriends candlehead who has he pinkie pie vision and has been noticing for the past 14 years that something seemed off about King Candy and decides to help the three with their integration plan Taffyta helps fo cause candlehead is her friend (and even thoushe hates the glitch with a passion she likes seeing candles smile shes gay ok)

essentially king candy is revealed to be turbo during a dance off (yes vanellope dances off against a giant bug monster who wants to eat her and everyone else) but still is defeated in the dnd

and then vanellope is returned to her rightful ghrone of dancing queen president

now for Wreck it Ralph 2 everything is relatively he same (but not really) the major difference is that instead of whatever the heck that ramp was that caused sugar rush to get unplugged there was a power surge that basically fried the console's plug in wires and circuits (along with a bunch if other older cabinets) so now vanellope has to find a way to fix her home all the while the residents are grieving their lost home que vanellope running off into the new plug in the ethernet! then que the others noticing she's gone and launch a search and rescue mission for out vanilla flavored dancer and instead of Vanellope staying in slaughter race her and the other kids stay in ohmydisney.com as new mascots (vanellope still runs into shank and the others and thinks their awesome and hangs out with bt ultimately chooses not to stay in slaughter race)

slaughter race in the sugar beats au is a game called Music Massacrebasically ddr + guitar hero but for adults (its a breakdance and hiphop focused game)

anyways thats all i have forenow so ill send the taffyta design tomorrow

anyways ships in this au are vanillabutter, taffypumpkincake (taffyta x gloyd x candlehead) and mintlollipop (swizzle x minty zaki)

The Shipping Problem Part 2

So as you all know I made a post about the whole shipping issues in the past and I'm back to address more about it.

Anyways let's get right into it.

Since no other person is gonna talk about the issues then I'll do it myself.

Well all love cartoon characters from many different franchises and video games.

And when watching a movie or playing a video game with your favorite characters in it, people will always take a liking to a certain character and there's nothing wrong with that.

But there will always be people out there who will automatically start shipping, And I'm not talking about Male and Female shipping no, I'm talking about Male and Male Shipping and Female and Female shipping.

It's very very wrong to ship two male characters together and two female characters together whether they are fictional or not.

Especially if said characters don't get along in a film or a video game.

If the characters don't get along in a movie, a series, or a video game then why ship them together?

It's a disgrace to the creators who made the characters and to the characters themselves because it doesn't make any sense and there's no plot to it.

There's been too much nasty out of place shipping with Disney characters and DreamWorks characters.

Like for instance: Puss x Death, Gremlin Prescott x Marcus, Gremlin Prescott x Jamface, Turbo x Vanellope, Cuphead x Mugman, there's sooo much more ungodly shipping than there is normal shipping.

This is not okay and it never ever will be, no matter how much people who do stuff like that try to make it out to be.

They did the same thing with My Little Pony, Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir, Zootopia and many many more kid shows.

It sickens me that there are people out there who think having the characters do disgusting ungodly and abnormal things like that is okay and what's worse is if a child accidentally stumbles upon stuff like that and then they'll think it's okay for them to do so too.

It's sickening and downright disgusting and so abnormal and ungodly.

It's bad enough that people out there don't want kids to be kids anymore and want them to be subjected to all evil and they'll use fun childhood characters to mess up the minds of innocent children by making the characters something they aren't for real.

Just because there are people out there who do stuff like that for real doesn't mean it's okay to make the characters do the same thing.

The world of imagination is a beautiful Heavenly place when it comes to these characters living a beautiful happy magical life every day.

But I feel bad for any kids out there who have already been subjected to evil like that.

The fictional characters don't deserve that, They brought us happiness and that's how we repay them?

As a person who grew up loving all the characters of my childhood, That is very very Very Disrespectful, Ungrateful, and Disgusting.

Gay shipping, Lesbian shipping, Incestuous shipping is Disgusting and very very Very sinful.

Especially for fictional characters.

It's okay to make your own ships but not in a sinful way.

Only Male and Female characters can be shipped together.

But only if said characters don't hate each other for real.

As a Christian I care because I have a heart.

God gave us these characters for good, they aren't meant to be used for evil.

Don't take other people's characters and make them homosexual.

That's very nasty!

And making them trans, queer, pansexual and giving them disabilities isn't something these fictional characters should ever have.

Stop ruining childhood characters.

Yes there are other serious things going on in this world that are very important but this is also very important.

Stop running childhood characters.

Finally watched Wreck-it Ralph 2. Gotta say, I liked it much better than the first one (which I thought was quite depressing). The main thing that stood out to me was how creative it was to show the internet world, how pop-up ads were and viruses and popular websites as their own buildings. The animation was smooth and I enjoyed seeing some Disney characters in their actual drawing style. I also enjoyed how it pokes fun at the mess all Disney princesses are (no hate) and how search engines are so eager to try and guess what you're trying to search. The end credits were entertaining as well, I was honestly wondering if they were going to include the scene they had in the trailers about Ralph and Vanellope crashing in the kid's pancake game. And the Rick Rolling! Not a fan of Ralph, but that was a nice addition.

I liked Vanellope's story arch, how she actually finds what she loves (though it was unbearable to watch the singing part). I generally didn't have any complaints on her part, but Ralph still annoys me. The movie quickly became the same old friendship storyline where one of the friends does something bad because x, y, z and it's honestly a shit move on their part, stuff happens, there's an emotional scene where they talk it out and still want to be friends, and at the end everyone's happy. That being said, it's not like the plotline made me want to pull my eyeballs out, but it was just predictable. Ralph made me want to pull my eyeballs out. The moment he wanted to fuck up the new game Vanellope likes (not gonna bother searching that up), I wanted someone to smack him in the face. Not cool man.

The 'big bad guy' was a lot less creepy than the first movie (yes, Turbo scares me), and there was a lot less intensity to the final 'battle' I think... They still went for some heart breaking moment (first movie Ralph wrecking Vanellope's car, this movie Ralph telling her what he did), and luckily it didn't feel like my heart was being wrenched out of my chest this time. I still can't get over the heart break from the first movie, I will never watch that scene again.

Anyways, I felt like I enjoyed watching it. I don't feel like it was a complete waste of my time.
