MC twirled her hair as she walked around the kitchen on the phone. Anyone looking into her window would assume that this was a typical evening for her, and that she was most likely on the phone with one of her friends. That wouldn’t be further from the truth.

“Mmmm tell me, what do I have to do to earn the pleasure of learning your name?” The 

mysterious voice asked.

“You first.” MC teased.

“Okay. Let’s talk about something else.” 

“Well, what do you want to talk about?” 

“Anything except my name.”

“Well, you called me. If you aren’t interesting, I’m afraid I’ll have to hang up on you.” MC teased.

“Okay, okay. Don’t worry. I’ll be more interesting. What’s your favourite scary movie?”

“The Thing. I love mysterious scary movies.”

“So, does this mean you love a man with mystery?”

“You could say that,” she giggled.

“So… Do you have a boyfriend?”

“Why?” She smiled, pushing some hair behind her ear. “Do you wanna ask me out on a date?”

“Maybe. Do you have a boyfriend?”

“No.”

“You never told me your name.”

“Why do you wanna know my name so badly?”

“I wanna know who’s home I’m in.”

Upon hearing that, the smile dropped from MC’s face. She spun around, surveying her small home. She didn’t see anyone, but it’s not like she was able to see her entire home from her kitchen.

“That’s not funny,” she said, her voice shaking.

“You didn’t ask me to be funny. You asked me to be interesting. I’m being honest and interesting. A perfect combination for a good boyfriend, I think.”

There was a pause.

“Do you want to know a secret of mine? Do you promise not to tell anyone? Do you promise that you won’t hang up on me once you know my secret?” The mysterious voice asked.

“Um, yes. I promise.”

“I’m Ghostface. The one you’ve been hearing about on the news.”

She could practically hear the grin behind those words.

“That’s not funny!” she screamed into the phone.

“Don’t you dare hang up on me!” he yelled back.

Click.

The microwave beeped, causing MC to jump. After examining the kitchen to make sure she was still alone, she took a deep breath. She opened the microwave door and pulled her bag of popcorn out.

“I told you not to hang up on me. Why didn’t you listen to me?” MC jumped at the ominous voice and looked up to see Ghostface standing before her, in the hallway. Blocking her exit.

She lunged for the back door, but Ghostface was far too quick. He grabbed her and they began to struggle on the floor. After a few minutes of struggling, she realized that he wasn’t trying to kill her, because if he was then she would’ve been dead by now.

She was still scared, but she stopped struggling and he held her in his arms. If she wasn’t so scared, she would have found the way he held her… romantic? He moved a gloved hand to her face, caressing the side of it.

“What do you want! Tell me!” She screamed in frustration.

“I want to fuck you like an animal,” he whispered in her ear.

She wasn’t sure why, but she felt her stomach flip when he said that. Was she really attracted to him? She couldn’t even see his face! But.. no. She shook her head.

“Let me go! Please!” she cried out.

“As you wish, sweetheart,” Ghostface responded, letting go of her.

She immediately took that opening and ran to the back door, stumbling over herself trying to open it. Finally, the got the latch open and ran out the backyard.

Ominis smiled behind his mask, listening to the sound of her running. The idea of having some fun and chasing after her sounded very appealing… He decided he would explore that idea later. He had already scared the poor thing enough for one night.

My theory is that Mimzy was once Alastor’s best friend, he maybe even thought he might have been in love with her at one point, in that manner aroace people who don’t know they’re aroace often do, that she was then sacrificed by this cult, and that Alastor had them infiltrated and taken down every member of that cult over decades, losing more and more of himself each time as those he killed grew less and less directly connected to the crime, “sorry you just got in my way, maybe I enjoy it just a little bit does that make me insane”, but that in the act of doing so, that contradiction of righteous intent and pure depravity, along with whatever ritual for power the cult had initially started upon, let’s say in honour of Roo (the root of all evil in the Hellaverse, a character yet to be introduced), and that on Alastor’s eventual death, he then found himself in Hell all-powerful, and set about bringing down those Overlords beneath his power continuing this moral code, until he hit a wall, finding himself having ended all Overlords less powerful than him / otherwise came to his senses on meeting Mimzy again and finding her to have gone to hell, recognising that “weren’t you an old pal of mine” and really nothing more and deciding mere power, entertainment is all he now desires. But that still, out of obligation, that he must kill Lucifer, the Devil, for a sense of completion, while still being allowed to exist himself afterward. Which leads to whatever deal he ended up trapped in seven years before the events of the series, and him getting Charlie to make a deal with him to “harm no one” at a certain point in the future: to ensure that when the time comes that he will be able to kill Lucifer, and the one person able to stop him won’t be able to. To really make Alastor a true Exterminator, more measured, the embodiment of how the road to Hell is paved with good intentions.

Huh, interesting take! I didn't think the Insane song was canon, but maybe I was just misinformed. I've never really thought of Alastor having his path of vengence and righteousness leading him towards hell, but I can see a lot of potential with it!

How Alastor had been barely keeping it together in his life already, and the one person he really cares about gets killed by a freaky cult? Yeah, I'd understand his murder spree now.

Maybe the cult ate Mimzy's body for the ritual, and Alastor returned the favor, starting his cannibalistic tendencies. But I'm not sure because Mimzy didn't have any indication of that on her sinner form from what we've seen.

I also saw a similar theory with the exterminator Alastor part, where he might've originally been in heaven, but when forced through the exterminator program, let his violent tendencies take over.

I do like the cult part. Maybe this caused what Alastor was referring to when he had his interlude in the finale song, with red eyes (that I just noticed after a rewatch) following him from his crash sight to the radio tower.

Those eyes look very similar to Roo's concept art. Maybe Roo found him because he killed a lot of her followers and made a contract with him to keep him under her thumb in the long run, making sure he doesn't interrupt her plans again.

Hi! I haven't read Ghost Rider and I'm really interested, do you know where/what to read it?

Hello!!! Glad to hear your interested in my favorite little guy!!

The best place to start is with the very beginning, which is the original All New Ghost Rider (ANGR) run. It was released in 2014 and the very first issue was 'Engines of Vengence'. I personally just bought mine on Amazon, but I'm willing to bet it's on a comic website (not sure where, sorry. If someone else knows a good comics website please please feel free to chime in!). This is my favorite version of Robbies character. He's complicated and overwhelmed and really just trying his best. AND GABE! COMICS THAT STRONGLY FEATURE GABE ARE A MEGA WIN IN MY BOOK.

Next I gotta reccomend his crossover comic. It's most accurate to how his original character was done and it's REALLY fun to see how he does in a team setting (hint: BAD. Should be labeled very strongly as 'does not play well with others'. It's good for him though. His paranoid self isolation isn't gonna get him anywhere. He could work on a team but it would take a whole lot of personal growth on his end. HENCE MY GREVIANCES WITH THE NEXT AREA.)

There are avengers comics. He looks cool in the artstyle. I've heard his character is just. Not really him. It's not really Robbie. So. I don't talk about the avengers comics lmao.

Robbie starred in a few 'Marvel Voices' comics, which I unfortunately haven't read yet but really really want to get my hands on at some point. I've heard good things about them! Great example of him actually catching a fucking break while still being very Robbie (or so ive heard. But dude. Dudeeee. That valentines day special will live on in my head and heart forever. I NEED the full thing).
