79 Mt. Pleasant. A mixed media ode to a stately old Victorian home in Gloucester, MA.. I had the pleasure of visiting close friends who lived in the upper story. From her high perch, we could see Gloucester’s inner harbor, and watch fireworks on Labor Day. I love old historic homes with their walled back-stories. Linh Truong is an AAPI Advocate and youtuber that I have followed for a number of years, love how she uses her platforms to promote different issues of the world with spreading the message and stories of her own experiences. In the descriptions of all her videos are different resources and information on so many issues its been an amazing source for me personally. As an artist she has a great "it's okay to not be okay" poster but my favorite is this bag below its perfect for laundry and farmers market because its giant!

Alyssa D. Silos has made some of the most adorable self defense products that I have ever seen. Currently the site tinyprotectors.com is where she provides her, Emergency alarms, Keychains, Stun Gun, etc. On her self named twitter she shows all her designs including new furniture designs that gives you the Animal Crossing vibes. Her creations in self defense encourages many to stay alert while keeping it fun and adorable. Below is a past design of her keychain line and its like having a work of protective art with real world applications.

SS 💚 🤲NEPALI WOMEN WEAVERS : Bringing smiles to women weavers in villages and seeing them gratified with their skill to earn a living, sense of independence makes me happy and proud. The women of the village have been hand-weaving fabrics for centuries and I am personally very connected with them as these weavers make the beautiful organic fabrics used in my wedding dress collections. All these remarkable women are given the chance to employ their traditional skills in their own homes to generate extra income. I feel incredibly privileged as a designer, to be able to put their inspirational skills to good use while also protecting our environment. SS 💚🤲AAMAKO KO GHAR, (mother’s House) is sheltering 86 homeless elderly women & orphans since 1999 in Kathmandu (eldest – 102 years old & youngest – just newborn). We have great respect for ‘Aama’ who Aama selflessly dedicated her life and her own home to give safe shelter to homeless. We are so happy to be part of their incredible journey and receive their blessings and smiles on their eyes. SS 💚🤲 BRIDES DO GOOD We are proud to support @brides_do_good to help end child marriage around the globe, and ensure every girl can choose her own future. By working with Brides do Good, we have joined their journey supporting over 2 million days of education for vulnerable women and girls, building a more sustainable future for us all.
