I really appreciate the interest and I hope I will be able to get to all of them eventually! You are so kind for this! It is just not only focus and time stuff.. I am also catastrophically unpopular all things considered and not used to attention and interest in my opinions beyond same couple of friends sending me things! Sometimes I even get anxiety and bail on a conversation I myself started when another person shows genuine engagement in it, because I am just not used to it;; Or I remember I once bailed on the idea of drawing doodle requests because I didn't expect to get many of them and got shy

I don't take attention and curiosity for granted at all! It is the opposite problem: I am so used to having to do various attention-seeking and people-pleasing behaviors to get even minimal interaction that I never know how to react when someone shows an interest first, let alone when people want to know my opinions as I literally just sit here and do nothing hjghjjgjhh All this is just to say, I am very thankful but if I am ever too slow or negligent it is not because something was wrong. Brain just starts to lag in unfamiliar situations -_-" Again, it applies to all manners of frozen convos and "ignored" positive interactions, not just asks!

Hot take, the reason so many people think c!Dream is 100% pure evil is that term “morally gray” has been reduced by media to “commits atrocities but they were sad so its not their fault” or “perfect good hero but they make mistakes sometimes”

Like, as much as I love c!Dream and joke about him being a poor pathetic meowmeow who did nothing wrong, I know he has done some HORRIBLE things. But he has complicated motives, he does morally right things that don’t aid his motives, he has fears and trauma and acts according to his own moral code. He may be on the darker end of the morally gray spectrum, but the fact that people insist every emotion and action he takes is some directionless chaotic evil outburst just goes to show how much media literacy is failing people.

Fandom is so much more fun when you just relax and let yourself enjoy exploring the spectrum of fictional morality

As promised, here's a write-up of Kimzu Luhire's current backstory!

(To anyone well-versed in DND lore, constructive critisim is accepted! I'd love to learn more about the subject)

Kimzu was born in a low-ranking Drow family, her mother passed away after she was born, so her dad married into a noble house so they could survive. 

The Matron of the house treated Kimzu more like a servant than a child. The Matron expected Kimzu to fend for herself, so most days she was alone. 

Growing up, Kimzu became a bit of a recluse, mostly doing house work & learning about Drow culture & history through the books in her room. She never liked Lolth from what she read about, but she knew better than to go against her. 

As the years went on, her father became more distant towards her, she was seen by most as a pathetic pushover, a bad example of what a Drow woman should be. 

The year she became the equivelant of 12 years old, her life was threatened by accidently getting involved in a bad fight between her father & the Matron, accusing him & his daughter of treason against Lolth. The Matron threatening to put down her father, Kimzu tried to stop her but was badly wounded from getting between them. Knowing no one would help her, that she would die if she did nothing, Kimzu ran away. She decided she was was going to the surface and staying there, far away from Lolth's domain. 

While navigating the Underdark, due to her own panicking & clumsiness, Kimzu tripped over herself & was spotted trying to escape the Underdark by a patrol of Drow soldiers, they must've been notified of her treason as they started chasing her immediately. Kimzu, trying to escape her pursuers & the dangers of the Underdark's wilderness, was further injured, but she could see moonlight in the distance, reaching the ends of the Upperdark, her pursuers lost her in the wilderness, never finding a body.

Kimzu was now in a strange forest of some sort, she kept running until her legs gave out. She was exhausted, not knowing what to do, but right at that moment, what looked like a small rabbit approached her, they told her that she could be saved, they asked if she wanted the power to protect herself, that she could if she joined them. Kimzu, not having much of a choice, refused to succumb to her wounds and, without being fully aware of it, formed a pact with an unknown Archfey Patron through who would become her lifelong companion. Kimzu felt rejuvenated, with her newfound power, she got back on her feet and started a new life, with her rabbit-like friend now named Oliver.

Now Kimzu has grown, she's the equivelant of 16 years old & wants to be a better & stronger person who could save lives like Oliver & her Patron did for her.

She has been taught many things by Oliver, such as how to forage for food & defend herself as a Warlock; she now resides in small remote caves near the surface, preparing for the day she can face Lolth, with Oliver by her side.

❝ I ain't never gonna apologize 'fer nothin'! ❞ Came his immediate reply. Sure, he'd ironically say "my bad" or whatever, but it was never an actual apology. He couldn't imagine what could make him actually feel sorry. To feel remorse, you definitely had to care about someone. Respect them. Admit that you'd wronged them, and that they deserved to have said wrongdoing acknowledged. There were lots of emotions you'd need in order to arrive at the conclusion that an apology was necessary, nevermind actually wording it. There was no way in hell that would ever happen. He wasn't sorry for ANYTHING. Considering all the bad shit he constantly pulled, it was clear that he had no conscience. It was something he should've gotten when he became an Arrancar, and took that step towards human emotions, but he'd never gotten his humanity back. He didn't feel sorry for anyone or anything. Not to mention, if you truly pitied someone, you would not SHOW them that. That would just be rubbing salt in the wound. If you cared, you wouldn't do that.

❝ Ain't 'bout what I did, but who I did it 'ta. If I'mma apologize 'ta someone, 's gotta be someone important. ❞ Nnoitra reluctantly admitted. He was not generally one to apologize. Not because he couldn't admit when he was wrong ( he knew he was wrong pretty much all the time ), but because he didn't care. He didn't care to put himself through the humiliation of apologizing if said person's opinion of him didn't matter. That person had to be important. It had to MATTER. Nnoitra had to NEED their forgiveness.

It wasn't like he'd never apologized before in his life. He'd apologized to Grimmjow plenty of times, and lord knew he fucking SHOULD as well, considering everything he'd done to him. In the end, it hadn't mattered, Nnoitra figured. In the end, Grimmjow hadn't forgiven him. Nnoitra didn't blame him for that. Who WOULD forgive the shit Nnoitra had done? There could be no redemption, no matter how much he wished for it.

So yeah, when he did something HORRIBLE to a person he cared about, he WOULD apologize. This sort of "strict policy" meant that Nnoitra's apologies weighed heavy when he delivered them. He never said "sorry" just to get out of a situation. He always, truly MEANT that he regretted his actions when he told someone he was sorry. Of course, those times were few and far in between. He wondered if he'd ever find another person who he'd want to apologize for, and also... What sort of EVIL thing he'd do to them, that would warrant an apology.

I've actually found a coherent (negative) criticism on Jingli.u's quest!! Wow!! It's in Chinese on weibo

This user said her behaviour is very double standard. That she criticises and condemns both Dan Fen.g and Yingx.ing severely for trying to bring back Bai.heng in any way, but then she goes to visit Bail.u and tells her that seeing her is better than any medicine. And the user is right! That's exactly why they did what they did (well, I've always been of the opinion that Dan Fen.g had more reasons going on based on the in game information), so why the insistent asking to Blade?

The user also says that Jingliu doesn't really behave at all like a friend, that while very believable that she loved and was close to Bai.heng, it's hard to believe the same thing when it comes to Yingxi.ng and Dan Fen.g. They said that nowadays we still see instances through the Xianzhou in which they are both spoken about in positive terms, that Yingxi.ng is talked about as a legendary furnace master, and we can even stumble upon good opinions on Dan Fen.g, but that Jingli.u never shows that kind of understanding for people in theory she loved, knew personally and was close to.

I don't agree entirely with this, I do think there was a lot of fondness from Jingliu shining through despite everything (especially towards Yin.gxing, in my opinion), but I do think it's a somewhat fair criticism. I loved how they mention that despite everything the Xianzhou's view on Yingxin.g and Dan Fen.g isn't just negative. They're right, and it's a detail I love.

#I think these kinds of pseudo incoherences‚ such as Dan Fen.g's and Yingx.ing's acts or even Jingliu being so angry with them #but wanting to see Bai.heng in that echo and then visiting Bail.u‚ actually make a lot of sense in the context of human emotions and acts #I think these paradoxical acts and flaws often add a lot of depth and humanity‚ and tbh they make the characters imo often more believable #But even though I still think it makes sense I do think this time the criticism pointed out some interesting inconsistencies #in Jingliu's characterisation. I loved that they brought up both these subjects and that they didn't have as black and white view #on either Dan Fen.g or Yingxin.g and their acts‚ and that they commented the thing with the Xianzhou. Finally someone else points this out #ngl I've been reading a lot of Chinese opinions on weibo and forums and I like the Chinese fandom a lot more than the western? xD #I agree with a lot of the comments they make. Most of them in fact. Seeing the western twitter fans I expected some other opinions #to be the most expanded among Chinese fans but to my surprise they aren't. I guess the western fans just focus on what they want #Often I agree with the Chinese fans but we come out with different emotions towards the story. Like‚ we reach the same conclusions #But they dislike the characters and writings and I actually like them for the same reasons lol #Like many things around Dan Fen.g #I don't know. like reasonably he should fall in an category of 'you might look human but my skin crawls for some reason around you' etc but he doesn't. his eyes are pretty unreal but it's easy to dismiss it as gray eyes doing what they do, or colored contacts given how he dresses and acts. has adopted an bunch of habits he doesn't really need- breathing namely being the biggest. in fact everything to do with speaking+making noise isn't natural to him. (don't really need to know how to laugh when you only interact with the buzzkill that is your maker)

❝ Human food, if it's sweet, tastes better 'fo 'sho. ❞ This was an easy question to answer. If something was sugary, Nnoitra would be naturally drawn to it. But human food was for snacking, it didn't ( to him ) count as actual meals. To sustain himself, he needed to eat other Hollow. Sure, he knew that was not actually true, but it was just how he felt. He had been an Adjucas for hundreds of years, and gotten so used to eating other Hollow that it was impossible to stop. If he didn't devour others, he'd feel weak. He wished Hollow would taste as nice as human food. Taste was not everything though. The feeling of eating also counted.
