I can imagine when Zack gets back that he can’t stop staring at Cloud. He cannot, for the life of him, bring himself to stop cause he’d missed the blond so fuckin much and he’s scared he’ll lose him again.

The thought of Cloud just disappearing once he leaves his sight or Zack turning around and he’s no longer where he once was. It terrifies him and he doesn’t want it to happen. But on the slight off chance that it might, he decides to look his fill.

Doesn’t matter if Cloud catches his gaze more than once and starts shooting him questioning glances. Doesn’t matter if the blond starts stuttering through his words. Doesn’t even matter when he starts turning a deep red and begins glaring at Zack to try and get him to stop.

He simply can’t risk not being able to see his face and possibly forgetting it if something happens to one of them. Refuses to even.
