Aaahh I just caught up on Seeing Red I love it!! Evil Megumi is scaring me buuuuut I can’t wait to see what he gets up to. Nancy rested her forehead against Robin's, panting, shutting her eyes to hold onto that addicting sensation of Robin's lips against her own.

'Nancy,' Robin whispered into the space between their faces, and it made Nancy pull back slightly, so she could properly see Robin's face. There was something in the way Robin had said her name that made her feel like something was wrong - and the look on Robin's face confirmed that. Her eyebrows were arched into a frown, and she was nervously biting on her lower lip.

'I don't think I can do this anymore.'

Nancy could feel how her mouth fell open, how a What?! stayed stuck in her throat, because what the hell? Why was this happening? She couldn't have misread it all, could she? All those times they had passionately made out over the past weeks, going on dates, enjoying each other's company, both clearly excited by what they were building together... Was Robin already tired of it before it could even grow into something more serious? Or had she been playing pretend this whole time? Had Nancy been stupid and lovesick enough to miss all kinds of clues that were right in front of her? How could she have been so wrong about what Robin felt for her?

By the time she finally managed to get the What the hell? out of her throat, Robin's frown had grown even more anxious.

'I am so sorry, Nancy, I just - I think if we don't stop this, I'll start caring too much about you and I can't do that. You're the prettiest girl I ever met, and you're super smart and cool and interesting and I can never stop smiling when I'm around you, and when we kiss, I just feel so much, it's like I'll explode, and I just - I can't take it anymore.'

Nancy stared at Robin, desperately trying to wrap her head around what was happening.

'You wanna break up with me because you... like me too much?'

It sounded even more ridiculous saying it out loud, but Robin nodded like it made complete sense.

'I'm so sorry - I probably should've told you way sooner, but I didn't know how to bring it up and I was really enjoying this whole thing so I didn't wanna ruin it, but - I'm a lesbian, Nance.'

Nancy started to feel like she and Robin were having two entirely different conversations with each other.

'Yeah, I know,' she said, unable to keep the annoyance at her complete incomprehension about what the fuck was happening out of her voice.

'You know?' Robin echoed, as if that was some big surprising revelation.

'Um, yeah, it'd be pretty weird to be dating you if you weren't, wouldn't it?'

'Wait, what?' Robin now stared at her with an expression that matched exactly how confused Nancy was feeling. 'We're dating?!'

'Are we not dating?!' Nancy all but yelled back at her. 'Wait - what did you think this was, exactly?'

'I dunno, you trying some new things to get over Jonathan or something - were we dating this whole time?'

'Do you think I shove my tongue down all my friends' throats?!'

A blush was rapidly coloring Robin's cheeks in a burning shade of red. 'Well, if you put it like that, it sounds a bit crazy,' she muttered.

She wasn't quite looking into Nancy's eyes anymore, and Nancy grabbed one of Robin's hands while gently cupping the other one around Robin's chin to get her to look at her again.

'Robbie,' she said, softly, 'I like you so, so much. I had no idea you didn't know. But just to make things super clear: I think you're insanely hot, and you're the funniest person I know, and I love spending time with you, and I am addicted to the way you kiss me. Do you wanna date me? Officially?'

Slowly, a smile started to spread over Robin's face, finally chasing away that anxious frown. It was a truly beautiful sight.

Robin nodded. 'Yeah, I'd like that,' she said, sounding slightly breathless.

Nancy rested her forehead against Robin's again, tangled her fingers in the lower ends of her hair.

'I can't believe you didn't know.' An involuntary giggle escaped her lips, causing Robin to give her a playful nudge against her shoulder.

'Can we go back to kissing, please, so I won't have to suffer you making fun of me?'

Nancy leaned forward into Robin's space, softly pressing their lips together, but pulling back before it could turn into a real kiss. She smiled.

'Yeah, we can definitely do that. I'll save the making fun of you for afterwards.'

Honkai star rail 2.1 update, aka HOLY FUCKING SHIT!

Ok, so, first off, so many things! most prominently, holy shit lesbians. Black Swan and Acheron are so gay, it makes me feel bad for Sparkle. She wanted to dance with Black Swan only for her to say no and then go do the single gayest dance i have ever seen in my life with Acheron. I no longer ship those two it is entirely one-sided, Sparkle never even had a chance. Fuckin "I've had my gaze on you for a while" fuckin hand kiss fuckin THEIR FACES WERE LESS THEN AN INCH AWAY FROM EACHOTHER!

On other news, it seems that Aventurine is planning to kill himself and bring all of Penacony down with him. Ok, he might not necessarily be trying to kill himself, but I like angst which means the saddest possible outcome will always be the one i go for. We also saw him as baby and i am just so excited to see more of this guy's definitely super fucked past. I am preparing my tissues, make this man devastating hoyoverse!

it's been way too long since I posted a snippet, but all of them are here

it's probably my most self-indulgent fic that I'm the most excited about, but also the most nervous about haha

just for the record: it's going to be buddie, obviously, it's just gonna focus heavily around shannon, too - it's actually alternating pov between shannon, eddie and buck - by chapter tho, I don't like switching povs mid-chapter haha

the idea started bc I was tired of the discourse and hate on Shannon (which I saw all over again when they mentioned her in s6) bc she doesn't deserve it, and since I first watched the show I always just felt so bad for her - so I started to think about her a lot, and since then the idea was just growing and growing until I finally started writing a few months ago!

it's kinda a rewrite of canon, where everything more or less happens, except shannon survives the accident, she and eddie get divorced and learn how to be friends and co-parents, and buck's not sure where he fits into it until he and shannon also become friends, and he's co-parenting with both of them like he does with eddie in canon

(also, while she's recovering from the accident, she stays with eddie - he insisted - and then when buck's recovering from the bombing, he's also gonna stay with eddie - eddie insisted lol - he likes to take care of the people he loves okay 😂)

it's kind of a challenge bc I don't know how to write buddie dynamic in s2 (I mean, they were always *like that* but it hasn't been this intense then lol) bc my rewatch isn't going well haha - and also writing them fall in love, instead of already in love and oblivious, is also new to me so it's gonna be fun to figure out haha

rn I'm finishing chapter 3, which is when the ladder truck bombing happens, but it's such a mess full of notes and comments and highlights I can barely look at the doc, but already started cleaning it up! so more snippets coming soon!

here's one more tiny snippet I'm not sure if I shared already, from chapter 2 (which is shannon's pov) after they told chris that she's gonna stay with them just for a little while, while trying and failing to postpone the divorce talk (they don't know what they're doing and neither do I haha)

“Why won’t you just live with us?” Christopher looks up at her with those curious eyes, identical to hers, but the frown on his face makes him look so much like Eddie. There’s so much of both of them in him – obviously, he’s their kid, it just hits her all over again sometimes, that they made this incredible little human. If there’s one good thing that came out of their relationship, it’s Christopher. “Are you and dad breaking up again?” “Oh.” Eddie exhales softly. Yeah, Shannon gets it. She hoped whatever was happening between them over the last few weeks, the sneaking around, sex, kissing, I-love-yous, falling back into a relationship, or trying to – that they hid it well from him, trying to figure it out between them before telling Chris anything. But, well, their kid is smart and perceptive, and of course he’s noticed something. Or maybe it’s just the fact that she came back into their lives, and they were a family again, and what child wouldn’t think that meant their parents are getting back together?

Last series: Ohhh, it's been a while since I've really watched anything, but I think The Owl House or Amphibia was the last? It's been actual months since the last time I picked up a show though.

Last movie: Well I re-watched all the Harry Potter movies rather recently but given that was research for my fic, I'm not going to count them and so the last movie I watched just for myself was Emma.

Currently working on: The longest work I've ever tried to tackle, a fic that's currently projected to be well over 500k. It's rather Snupin and Harry/Draco/Theo centric, and it's inspired by a bunch of different Arthurian legends and pagan traditions. It's incredibly self-indulgent and I'll be super excited once I can finally start posting it!

Chrom: It would appear so. According to the pamphlet, New Denta Island is a recreation of a ‘beach resort’.

I’ve heard that swimming at beaches such as this was a common ‘summer’ activity before the swelling sun phenomenon.

Alto: I must admit, I was rather shocked. I’d already seen on the news that the newest wave of large-scale sunlight barriers had been implemented but—

I can’t believe they’ve turned an entire man-made island into a resort…

Cobalt: That boat ride was super fun! I’ve never travelled this far away before!

Kei: Don’t get too excited. We didn’t come here to mess around.

They invited us here to put on a live show for their opening celebration event.

Cobalt: I already know all that! What to do first~♪ I wanna try ‘swimming’~♪

Kei: You’re just thinking about goofing off…!

Alto: It’s alright, Kei. There's still a while before you’re all scheduled to perform.

Right now they've just invited us to have a look around so we’re free to have a bit of fun.

Kei: Really? Well, I guess we can relax then…

Chrom: I kept a record just in case. “July XX. Day 1. Upon invitation, arrive at New Denta Island.”

“Spend 2 nights and 3 days at the facility in hopes of finding inspiration for the celebration live show.”

“Aside from us, there will be numerous other vacationers there as well,” —I wonder if they’re also here on invitation?

Alto: I heard that they wanted to do a test before the official opening and held a lottery for it so I assume the other people here must be winners of it.

Neon: Let’s go. I want to get a closer look at the ocean.

Cobalt: Let’s go, let’s go! I wonder what the beach’ll be like!?

Neon: I’m going…

Cobalt: Huh!? You’re so fast! Wait up, Neon!

Kei: Ah—hey, you guys! …They’re gone. Not only Cobalt but Neon too.

Chrom: This is their first time seeing a sight such as this, after all. From the looks of it, Neon is much more chipper than usual.

Alto: If they run like that, they’ll—!

Cobalt: AAAHH!?

Neon: Oh, you fell.

Alto: Ahh, I knew it…!

Chrom: I see. The composition of the sand makes it easy to lose your footing. If you're not familiar with it, it’s likely that you’ll trip and fall.

Kei: Dammit. He’s covered in sand now.

Cobalt: Hurry up guys—! It feels so smooth to stand on! This is so much fun!

Kei: Okay, okay. We’re coming so you can quit yelling like that.

Chrom: Is there enough time in our schedule for this, Doctor?

Alto: There’s still a while before we need to meet up with the manager so I think we should have enough time to go and have some fun.

Chrom: That’s wonderful to hear. Now then, shall we go join them?

Alto: Yeah!

AAAHH!!!!! I just read the new All the Kings Horses chapter it was definitely NOT overhyped omg it was PERFECT!!!

-Firstly, fictional Matty being hesitant when fictional George invited him was sooo perfect, he’s still so unsure on what George actually thinks of him (but to be fair, so is fictional George). I LOVE how they are finally spending time together and getting closer to being friends!!

-The mention of him starting to talk continuously in the car and fictional George saying to take a breath omgggg I’m obsessed that’s so perfect.

-Also really liked the mention that he just got water, and the continued reluctant surprise by fictional George every time he shows that he is even a little bit responsible.

-And the story OH MY GOD!!! He broke his back????? Honestly the whole story is sooo on brand and says SO MUCH about his old life before the start of the story and everything that went down. And the reaction from George???? Oh my god it was perfect.

I seriously dont know how I’m going to make it through the week waiting for the next chapter 😭😭

Fictional!Matty has physically been through a lot, riding horses wrecks your body, especially at that level (I wonder what he had to do... or take... to power through and keep riding 👀) Fictional!George is horrified and hearing the story and how nonchalant Fictional!Matty is about the whole thing, framing it as as "dumb funny story" is really upsetting to him and also how long was he laying in the dirt until someone found him?! Too long says Fictional!George TOO LONG, he's not sure WHY he's upset but he's upset goddammit that's his Fictional!Matty and his Fictional!Matty deserves better!
