2 more Finished Paintings ~ Ocean themed
On a roll! continuing my love affair with Ocean / Reef/ Sea themes. I have 2 more completed & sold in the last 3 weeks. Revisiting this ‘older’ style (last time I painted like this was 2017 for the huge commercial stairwell installation ) has been so refreshing. Painting with new perspective, fresh eyes, and a deeper love for my process & my creative journey. Patience & discernment are my biggest…

Your people have suffered more loss than you could even physically fathom, the pain in your chest heavy like stones. When you and your family arrived at Awa’atlu seeking Uturu, your mate Toruk Makto left behind his old life. You all had. No longer at war, you knew your sacrifices were to keep your children safe. Several months had gone by since your arrival and you found your kids adjusting better than you could’ve imagined. Neteyam and Lo’ak became excellent free divers and hunters of the reef, Tuk and Kiri free diving took a liking to Ilus and began training young Metkayina children how to bond with the animals. You being a mighty warrior yourself took a liking to spears and tridents although struggling at first, you got the hang of these foreign weapons. As the tsakarem of your own clan you were in tune with healing practices and naturally thrived among the new clan, weaving baskets, collecting shells, making medicinal herbs and healing the wounded. Your mate Jake spent most of his time with the Metkayina Olo’eyktan, Tonowari. Learning the hunting ways of the tribe. You and Jake spent most of your nights with your children in the maruis after long days of training and earning your keep.
The day came for celebrating Ao’nung’s rite of passages being completed, his place among the people being solidified as a true man. The preparations for tonight all distributed among members of the tribe, yourself and husband included. You spent your day picking fruits, and collecting seafare for tonight’s feast. Excitement burns in your belly knowing you’re wearing your special festival outfit you spent time working on with the chief’s daughter. You and Jake haven’t had much time by yourself since your arrival, tonight would be a time to celebrate, relax and enjoy the festivities of the evening. The children already off with the new friends they made, had your tent feeling empty. You anticipated Jake’s arrival after his day of preparations, butterflies rising in your stomach. You finish the final touches of your shell adorned outfit, turning in the mirror gazing at your taunt figure. You smile to yourself knowing you hand crafted everything from the sea pearls, beautiful abalone, sea moss, and blue cloth. Your ears perk up at the sound of your tent flap opening, head whipping to the source. Your mate entering the tent smiles at your appearance. “Well aren’t you a sight for sore eyes.” He says putting his hunting gear down. You chuckle at his flirtation and make your way over to your husband. You wrap your arms around him and kiss his lips passionately. “Hi Paskalin honey.” You whisper in a smile. Your tail flicks with contentment, Jake’s whipping your thigh. He turns to wash up from the day to your table, as you assist him. “I like that outfit, did you make it?” He says taking a cloth into the bucket of water. You observe your mate cleaning himself as you nod lightly. “Yes, I spent several months on it with Tsireya for this night.” As he finishes cleaning his skin, he smiles at you lightly. Appreciating the rare moment you two have alone together. “Jake, I made you something as well.” You announce. You make your way to your bowl of belongings pulling the shell necklace you spent making for him. You bring it to his face, as he grins with pride. “It’s beautiful, just like you.” You giggle at his compliment walking to his back to put the necklace on, moving his locs. “There, now we both look like we fit in here.” You speak softly. He turns his head to you, embracing the now comfortable silence. With eclipse approaching, the celebration is coming soon. He brings his thumb to your jaw stroking it gently, closing the space between you two. Your lips slowly touch, melting into each other. This is the first time he’s kissed you since your arrival at the reef village. Your intimate moment suddenly broken with the sudden opening of the tent flap. “Hey mom have you seen my-Oh!” Neteyam immediately sees the moment he interrupted. You and Jake break the kiss, whipping to your son. Jake chuckles at the sick joke he calls parenthood as you laugh with him, squeezing his arm. “What is it my son?” As you walk to your eldest.
With the celebration now in full swing you sit among the beach, the cool air lightly caressing your skin, torches along the sand with a buffet of food that you helped gather. Exotic fruits, seafood, grilled banana leaves stuffed with rice and fish, fermented juice. All celebrating the chief’s son. You sit with your mate as you watch your children dance with the people now adapting to the dance of such a celebration. With several cups of alcohol flowing in your veins you feel warmth radiating through your body. You lean to your husband as the music vibrates through the sand. Suddenly being pulled off your feet, Tsireya beckons you to do. “Tanywral, you must! It is the way!” She giggles. Who are you to say no to the chief’s daughter? You awkwardly move to the crowd of people moving their bodies fluid like ocean water. Your own moves still not quite perfected, but none the less your body finds the rhythm of the drums and horns weaving into the air. Jake watches you attentively, as your hips sway to the beat of the music. You roll your head back, arms spinning in the air. Your laughter fills his ears like the sweetest song. His loincloth tightening at the sight of his enticing mate. Suddenly he sees Tonowari sit beside him on the log. He sighs a breathy sigh taking a sip from his own drink. “What’s that sigh for?” He inquires to his good friend. Tonowari turns to Jake, “Just a few moon cycles ago, we were celebrating the return of the Tulkun. My mate being among us. This is just an adjustment that’s all.” Jake feels sorry for the chief. Not understanding the unbearable pain of losing a mate, he does empathize for this man. “I’m sorry. I can’t imagine.” He responds to the chief. Tonowari sighs, “Keep your mate close, appreciate her, even when you disagree, always understand how lucky you are to be blessed with such a union, and beautiful woman.” He speaks softly staring right at your moving body. Jake looks to where Tonowari’s gaze is locked to you dancing in the crowd. At first jealously pools in his stomach, then a fleeting thought enters his mind, treading along a borderline insane idea. With alcohol flowing through his veins, he lets the fermented juice do the talking. “You know, Tanywral and I haven’t had anytime to even be intimate since we got here.” Tonowari’s ears immediately perk up with intrigue. “Can’t seem to get a damn moment of peace and quiet these days.” He chuckles. Tonowari looks to you, then to Jake again. Is he? Is he taunting me? He thinks to himself. Jake senses Tonowari’s curiosity and continues, “Sometimes I think we need something to spice it up.” Your dancing figure comes into line of sight running to Jake. Breathlessly, you lean over the two men realizing you’re interrupting a private conversation, “Jake! I-oh!” You bring your hand to cover your laugh. “Sorry I didn’t realize I was interrupting something.” Jake smiles at your drunk state, “It’s okay princess, Tonowari and I were just talking about how lucky I am to have you as my mate.” Your cheeks immediately flush with his boldness. You look to Jake, then Tonowari who’s reaction you can’t read. “Oh is that so? Tonowari what do you think about me?” You say cooing to him. His eyes light up with shock, now flustered with your cheekiness. “I- was explaining to Jake the importance of savoring one’s mate.” He says chest now heaving with tension. You look to Jake, sharing a silent agreement. “Maybe, I can show you how to savor that, ‘Wari, would you like that?” Is she being serious, this cannot be. He thinks in shock.
He slowly turns his head to Jake, with eyes hooded with lust, practically salivating over his mate. You bring your hand to Tonowari’s flushed cheek, “Wari bring us somewhere private where we can be together.” His eyes now wide in shock, he looks to where his people are singing and dancing oblivious, all drunk on the fermented juice like you three. He lets his liquid courage guide his actions. Slowly rising up, he nods, and leads the way to the mangrove forest. You and Jake’s hands intertwined walking in happy drunken strides following your leader. Eyes and body heavy with lust your belly burns with passion. Tonowari leads you to a forest clearing with moss and lush grass lit by the moonlight. Jake brings you close to him, crashing his lips to yours passionately. With you moaning into his mouth, Tonowari stares at the two of you igniting a fire within him. You break your kiss, slowly turning to the tall teal man. You reach out to him, his hand intertwining with yours. Your soft smile melting him to his core. “Wari let me make you feel good. We can make you feel again. Would you like that?” You whisper in his ear. Shivers sent down to his spine he feels his loincloth tighten with excitement. You chuckle at his reaction. “I would, my flower.” He breathlessly replies. Jake nods to him, ensuring he’s on board. Then you slowly bring your lips to his, causing a light moan to escape his mouth. You bring your hands to cup his strong pecs, feeling his body as he brings himself closer to you. You slip your tongue into his mouth as you lower your hands to the string of his loincloth. Jake circles in behind you rubbing his hands on your hips. You hips buck into Tonowari’s from the sensation of being touched by two men at once. Tonowari’s hands find their way to your breasts lightly massaging them, as you release a moan into his mouth. Your hands hastily work to untie his strings, as the material falls to the forest floor. His throbbing cock springs out slapping his toned stomach leaving a small mark of precum on his glistening skin. You gasp at the size. Jake was more than able to satisfy you with your needs and then some, being at about 14 inches himself, but where Jake exceeded in length Tonowari was making up for in sheer girth. He stood proud at at least 16 inches. You feel your mouth begin to salivate, as his eyes bore into your stare. He nervously chuckles, before bucking his hips into you, seeking friction. You bend down into the grass, bringing your face to his throbbing length. Slowly taking his cock in your mouth adjusting to the size, you wrap your tongue around the length, causing a loud moan to escape the hulking man. You bring your hands to his cock and begin caressing his member, watching his pulsating balls twitch at contact.
Your mate’s hands caress your braids softly as you bring pleasure to the chief. “Such a good girl.” You hear Jake coo. Your pace quickening around Tonowari’s cock, as his chest tightens with pleasure. You bring yourself to suck hard around his swollen mushroom tip causing a loud whimper from him, “Ah! My petal, if you keep that up I will not last long.” His eyes fluttering to compose himself. You chuckle at his excitement. “Sorry, Tonowari, tell me how you want me then.” His ears perk up, “how I want you?” He inquires. Jake laughs as he brings you up to face both of them, rubbing circles on your shoulders. Your hands now wrapping around Tonowari’s neck, “yes tell me how I can make you feel good. Tonight is about you mighty warrior.” Your hooded eyes boring into his soul. His primal arousal now guiding his thoughts, he growls into you and scoops you up, causing a gasp to escape your mouth. Jake watches with desire, as he begins undoing his own strings to his loincloth. Tonowari brings you to a tree, head making contact with the trunk with a thump. His strong hands begin to untie your loincloth, as you lift you hips up for easier removal. The material falls to the floor revealing your glistening pussy. A sight he swears is going to end him. His nostrils filled with your sweet nectar. “Oh, princess I am going to devour you.”
I wrote this months ago while I was drunk and just left it with a cliffhanger, which is super annoying. should I do a part 2 and get the good stuff? Let me know!

Crustacea: Panulirus versicolor
During my free time on Woppa, I did some snorkelling. It was fucking scary, but fun. Without an underwater camera, I sadly couldn't take photos of the things I saw. BUT I did collect a handful of items off of the reef/sand (anything I took, I returned to the reef closest to shore).
The most impressive thing was this lobster tail. It seems all the good parts had been eaten, leaving behind this big ass tail. I consulted an ex-diver about the ID, apparently these things can go for thousands in high-end restaurants (the guy got 40 bucks for capturing a perfect one... middlemen make all the money). I know lobsters are the cockroaches of the ocean, but I think they're really cool.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Gastropoda: Haliotis sp.
The second thing I picked up was this abalone shell (also used as food lol). The interior of these shells is really shiny when polished. I've never come across one of these snails before, so I had to pick it up.
Here's a short list of the other things I saw but couldn't photograph: (what I remember clearly, lots of fish I couldn't ID)
Blackeye Thicklip
Goldstripe Butterflyfish
Giant Clams
The large variety of coral (mostly red)
School of pipefish (I think) found near shore
I wouldn't mind doing snorkelling in the future, though I'm certainly going to teach myself how to do it better lol. I will keep an eye for sharks too. This was a popular tourist diving spot, but even still, you've gotta be careful.

i was playing splatoon and thinking about motorcity... and u know what happens when you think of two things at the same time lol take these messy sketches!
Summarized ID: Multiple sketches of Motorcity characters as if they were in the splatoon universe, most are octolings but others are different species
FULL ID UNDER CUT:
First image has Mike Chilton, here named "Mike Chilfin" with his back to the camera, smirking over his shoulder. He's an octoling, with his canon hairstyle except instead of two little hair tufts at the top, it's a tentacle sucker. There's an ink tank on his back and he's holding a staff with two Splatana Stampers on the ends. It's modified and held together by tape. Beside him is his octopus form, with a square head and brown ink.
Next to him, weilding a five pronged Tri-Stringer, is Chuck. Here named "Muck". His ink colour is yellow and his octopus form has long, curling, tentacles.
On the left side of the page is two drawings. One of a Salmonid with one eye missing, and another of a Sanitized Octocopter (Green Octarian with flying device on head) with one eye. Notes beside it say: "Reef?" "Salmonid Roth or Octo Roth?"
Second image shows a bust of Kane. He's an Inkling, and here named "Abalone Kane." His squid form has two long tentacles in the back and two short ones in the front. His rattail is a tentacle with a sucker on the inside.
There's a bust of Julie. Her hair is long tentacles. She's an inkling. Her Squid form has two long tentacles and then slightly shorter ones in the front. There's a note beside her that says "uses dualies"
Then an almost full body of Mike Chilfin but in Octoling armour. He's wearing goggles, a black crop top with silver plates over it, black shorts, black elbow-length fingerless gloves, and is holding an Octoshot. Seaweed is placed behind his ears and curves upwards above his head.
A headshot of Dutch, with the Octoling Afro hairstyle. And a headshot of Claire, who is an Inkling. Her square bun is now a tentacle tied around itself and she has earrings in her triangular ears.
Third image shows Jacob as a shrimp much like Crusty Sean. He has two claws instead of hands and six little arms in the front of his fried-looking shrimp body. Hard to explain. Imagine a shrimp fried in breadcrumbs. That's his body. Two legs on the bottom.
There's a half finished drawing of Texas but as a Inkling Salmonid hybrid. He's got a connected eyemask, fins for ears, and a tail. There's a red X next to him. Then a small drawing of a Texas starfish with a hat on it.
On the left of the page is Texas as a Mussel. His body is how it looks in the show, humanoid and muscular, but his head is a clam with cartoony eyes and a little hat on top. His mouth is open. There's a green checkmark next to him and an arrow pointing to him labelled "Mussel!" Above him is the Mussel Texas but in a sexy "paint me like your french girls pose". He's wearing a black speedo.
Fourth image shows the Duke of Detroit, here named "The Duke of Detrout" in the right hand corner is a turnaround of The Duke of Detroit in the show, and below it is a picture of a Lionfish. Scattered around the page are Duke as a Lionfish. His hair is striped and prongs stick out of him, mimicking his cape and the Lionfish's fins. His arms are elongated fins and his eyes are black. Instead of facial hair, there are stripes on his face mimicking the goatee and mustache.

The sea otter (Enhydra lutris) is a marine mammal native to the North Pacific where they can be found in coastal waters along Russia, Japan, Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Here they tend to prefer habitats such as sheltered rocky lagoons, kelp forests, and cold barrier reefs. Although each adult and independent juvenile forages alone, sea otters tend to rest together in single-sex groups called rafts which may be upwards of a thousand strong. There diet is comprised of sea urchins, worms, starfish, crabs, lobsters, scallops, clams, mussels, limpets, chitons, abalones, snails, and bottom dwelling fish.  Sea otters are themselves preyed upon by orcas, sea lions, sharks, bald eagles, bears, and coyotes. Female sea otters are smaller reaching around 3.3 -4.7ft (1 -1.4m) in length and 30 -75lbs (14- 33kg) in weight compared to males at 4-5ft (1.2 – 1.5m) long and 50 -100lbs (22 -45kg) in weight. Making them the heaviest members of the mustelid family, but among the smallest marine mammals. Unlike most other marine mammals, the sea otter has no blubber and relies on its exceptionally thick fur to keep warm. With up to 150,000 strands of hair per square centimetre (970,000/in2), its fur is some of the densest of any animal, consisting of long, waterproof guard hairs and short underfur. They have long broad webbed hind feet, a short flattened muscular tail, a very flexible skeleton, and front paws that sport retractable claws and tough pads on the palms to help the otter grip onto slippery prey. They are a polygnous species which breeds year round, after a 4 month pregnancy mothers give birth to 1-2 pups which remain with there mother for 6 to upwards of 8 months. Female sea otters reach sexual maturity at 3 -4 years of age and males at around 5. Under ideal conditions a sea otter may live upwards of 20 years.

The Revenge of the Captain Part 3
Let's go!
*Bubble Pearl and Sorbet Shark continued to race to the closest coral reef while Oyster swam behind them. As soon as they reached the coral reef, Sorbet Shark swam quickly to the tallest coral and touched it.*
Sorbet Shark: Ha! I win!
Bubble Pearl: *giggles* Yeah, yeah. But one day, big sis will beat you in a race.
Sorbet Shark: Hahaha! Did you see that mom?!
Oyster: *giggles* I did and you both did a great job. But we should get back soon. We did swim a bit far from the ship and we do need to head back to the Republic soon.
Sorbet Shark: But mom!!! We just got here! I want to show you two around a bit!
Bubble Pearl: Please mother. Just a few more minutes then we'll head back. Please.
*Oyster sighs but nods her head. The two siblings cheered and explored the reef. Bubble Pearl laughed and forgot about all her problems above. She never wanted to leave any time soon. But...a deal's a deal.*
Bubble Pearl: Alright. I think we've done enough exploring. Let's head back.
Sorbet Shark: Ahhh. But there's one more thing I wanted to show you! Real quick! Please!
Oyster: *looks up before looking back* We can quickly take a look.
Sorbet Shark: Yes! Come on! It's up here! *quickly swims up to the tallest coral*
*Both Oyster and Bubble Pearl follow them up to a hole at the top of the coral. Inside it were mini little pearls of all shapes. It was beautiful! Bubble Pearl reached in and pulled out two misshapen pearls.*
Bubble Pearl: Oh my...I've never seen pearls like this. They're beautiful!
Sorbet Shark: Yeah! I found them here one day and no one claimed it as theirs. They're very unique!
Oyster: Yes, very. Unfortunately, no Cookies would ever want to pay for a misshapen pearl. They are worthless in the market. And we should also leave this here. Someone may come back for it.
Sorbet Shark: But no one has claimed them! They won't miss them!
Oyster: Now Sorbet Shark. We are not pirates. We do not take from others without a trade. Unless you have something we can trade for them, they are staying here. Now please put it back, Bubble Pearl.
Bubble Pearl: Fine.
*Bubble Pearl reaches back in to put the pearls back. Just as she was about to back away from the coral, a large shadow loomed over her. Before she could process what was going on, she was engulfed in a fishing net.*
Bubble Pearl: What the?! *starts squirming*
Sorbet Shark: Sis!
Oyster: Bubble Pearl! Hold on! We'll get you out! *starts pulling on the net* Sorbet Shark! Find a sharp object we cut with!
Sorbet Shark: Got it ma! *quickly swims below*
Oyster: Now sweetie. Swim down with me. *pulls the net down*
*As the two swim down, up above was the ship the net came from. Two crewmates tried to pull the net back up but were met with resistance. Not far off, stood the captain of the ship: Braised Abalone.*
Braised Abalone: *notices the two crewmates* What are you two doing?! How difficult is it to get some measly fish?!
Crewmate 1: They're fighting back! They don't want to come up!
Crewmate 2: How are fish this smart?!
Braised Abalone: For the love of-! *Grabs the rope* Pull harder!
*The three Cookies start pulling on the rope. Meanwhile, down below, Oyster and Bubble Pearl were still trying to get away. Sorbet Shark came back with a broken sharp coral. They start to cut the rope but it doesn't work.*
Sorbet Shark: It's not working mom!
Oyster: Keep going dear! Bubble Pearl! Keep swimming down!
Bubble Pearl: I'm trying!
*The net started to pull up, nearly separating Bubble Pearl from her family. As the net started to lift out of the water, her tail popped out of the water. Braised Abalone was the first to see it, his eyes widened.*
Braised Abalone: That tail...
*Back in the water, Oyster and Sorbet Shark kept trying to pull the net down and cut it. But to no avail.*
Bubble Pearl: *scared* Mother!
Oyster: Hold on dear! We'll get you out!
*Bubble Pearl was about to reply but instead a scream came out. Something, or someone, had grabbed her tail. She tried to free herself but the grip was still strong.*
Sorbet Shark: We need to pull more!
Bubble Pearl: Easier said when your tail isn't caught!
*The net was nearly halfway up when two pairs of hands grabbed it and pulled it down with Oyster and Sorbet Shark. They turned around to see two beings that looked like jellyfish. Out of the corner of her eye, Bubble Pearl saw an off-white blur. Up above, a thin tentacle shot out of the water and stung both Braised Abalone's hand and a bit of Bubble Pearl's tail. The captain yelped and let go of Bubble Pearl. She quickly swam down and pulled the net with her. Sorbet Shark tried to cut one more time, this time successful.*
???? Mauve: Come on! Get out!
*Bubble Pearl quickly swam out of the net, trying to ignore the sting on her tail. The three Jellyfish pulled the family further down the reef.*
???? Magenta: You need to go! All mermaids know that this is an unsafe area! Pirates hunt fish here.
Sorbet Shark: It wasn't like this the last time I was here!
???? Ivory: Doesn't matter! Go!
*The three Jellyfish quickly swam away without missing a beat. Oyster looked up at the surface before pushing Sorbet Shark and Bubble Pearl in the direction of their ship. Bubble Pearl looked back at the pirate ship, feeling unease from it. She shook her head before quickly swimming after her mother and sibling.*
Bubble Pearl: (That ship...I hope I never see it again.)

A magic cauldron appears in the middle of the back yard. You put in an ingredient, and you get an ultra rare item back.
What's all the OCs putting in and what do they hope to get out of it?
Oooo this sounds very fun!! Makes my brain itch >:]c Some of these items may not sound like rare items, but they would be rare for them!!
edit; you’re gonna have to forgive me on some of these. After spending some time writing, i’m starting to remember how painfully average i was in english class 😭
Kioshi Ryuji:
Kioshi places a broken glazed clay shard into the cauldron. This shard was once part of a beloved project that was shattered years ago. The shard holds years of remorse, turmoil, and a sense of hopelessness. Ryuji wants it gone more than anything, but feels he can’t just simply ‘throw it all away’. Maybe it will create something new from the shard?
Out comes…a can of clay glaze. The can is hefty, but when you open it, the inside is pitch black. He can feel the glaze move and sway inside the can, but cannot see it. This substance coats whatever ceramic in a unique color and texture, based on what Kioshi envisions. No matter what circumstances the chosen pieces are put through, the glaze is nothing but resistant to damages of any kind. Only he can bring such a force to his own creations.
Gomez Brooks:
Gomez puts in one of his late grandmother's scarves. It's worn, but still holds that softness. Colors of purples, greens, and blues are faded, but still distinguishable. Beads of Jade and Tiger's eye hang on by the embroidered stems. Tattered but loved nonetheless. He only wishes for this part of her to last a little while longer.
Out comes…a ring. The bronze band is adorned with small, glimmering green jade, while the tiger's eye rests in the very middle. He remembers dancing with her in the early mornings, the kitchen flooded with hushed laughter and the smell of cherry pie. This ring makes him feel a warmth that he hadn't felt since he was a child, even in the dead of winter.
Crypta Barnaby:
Crypta places a dented metal baseball bat into the cauldron.
Thanks to Clemente Dawn, a whole slew of enemies emerged against the Barnabys. Mobsters, assassins, stalkers, and the occasional bounty hunters. While fighting them off makes their family and friends’ safety all worth the trouble, one can only do so much hand to hand combat when you're literally 5’2. Have you seen some of these fuckers?? <- the one who designed said fuckers
Now bearing a heavy dent, the bloodied bat is rendered useless. There’s no time to scavenge for a new weapon, not when Dawn’s henchmen are becoming more bold. Not when it’s getting increasingly difficult to keep track of everyone you love. Not when death is practically holding your heart by the very strings.
Out comes…the bat. It looks brand new. Stainless steel. It’s not hollow anymore, but heavy. Like the inside’s been filled with cement. There's a strong aura of rage when you hold it. It's cold, and it drags you down the more you hold onto it. Circles are in single file lines all around the bat, and with a twist of the bottom --spikes! Not too sharp, not too blunt. With a bit of practice, and a lot of repressed anger, Crypta can now send the message a bit more clearly.
Esmeralda Trent:
Esmeralda drops a pair of swimming goggles into the cauldron.
Ever since her mother’s disappearance, Esmeralda has always dreaded the ocean. Going beyond the shallow reefs would never cross her mind, and she hated it. She used to love everything about the ocean, even the deeper, more terrifying parts. But now, all there is, is anguish. She wants to feel the waves on her skin again. Anything to be closer to her mother.
Out comes…a pendant. An abalone shell, with a soft, iridescent shimmer. For as long as 3 hours, your breath will never run out when you wear this underwater. You are also not seen as a predator nor prey if you happen to come across any creatures, so you can explore the ocean freely.
Hector Barnaby:
Hector places a spoonful of coffee beans into the cauldron.
Aside from, y’know, the horrors. Hector doesn’t really have a specific need for any rare item. He does like making his lil coffee drinks, so who knows! Maybe he’ll get a new flavor of coffee out of this…
Out comes…a plant? A coffee plant! How cute! But it doesn’t look rare? It just looks like an ordinary coffee tree…Hector shrugs, and finds a sunny spot for the newcomer.
The next morning, Hector comes to find that the tree had sprouted flowers. Which was odd, since the tree showed no signs of flowering or producing fruit anytime soon. Maybe it was just stressed, he thought. So after a thorough check for any pests or possible root damage, he shrugged it off again before continuing his day. When he returns home from work, he completely forgets about the plant and heads to sleep.
The next morning rises, and he checks on the tree. Berries! The coffee tree was bearing fruit that ripened to perfection, as if it spent an entire season on a grow farm. Hector was confused, but cool-headed, given he’s been in weirder situations. We’re not going to argue with a magical coffee tree, that’s for damn sure.
After drying the berries, roasting the beans, and making his usual concoction of caffeine, he’s stumped. The coffee just tastes like any other store-bought beans thrown into the grinder. Hector thinks about this whole situation a bit too intensely that day, and takes another look at the tree itself. He notices a small envelope attached to the back of the pot!
Opening the paper, it read; ‘Place your desired flavoring beneath the soil.’ Okay? Weird? But simple enough? I guess?? Hector doesn’t get paid enough for this (he’s at home????).
Hector grabs a small bottle of Hazelnut spice. Sprinkling the powder into the soil, and gently mixing it in with his fingers. ‘Is this my life now?’ He ponders to himself. ‘Yeah, it probably is’.
The next morning arrives, and the berries have returned. There’s a hazelnut scent to them, but Hector doesn’t believe it just yet. And the coffee process starts again.
‘Well damn’, He grumbles, ‘It’s fucking hazelnut’.
There's probably gonna be a part 2, since there's so many ocs, and i didn't realize how much i would be thinking and writing for this, BUT IM HAVING FUN IN THE END!

Welcome to Ancient California-Gateway to Fu Shang
Bob Meistrell ran a scuba equipment shop in Palos Verdes. One day in 1975, he and his friend Wayne Baldwin were indulging their passion for diving and looking for lobsters and abalones to put on the barbeque back home. Although the fruits of the sea eluded them, their foray off the rocky reefs of the peninsula mainstream archaeology for years.
Spotting an unusual round object thirty-five feet down on the sea bottom, Meistrell and Baldwin hauled the thing, which turned out to be a 305-pound rock, to the surface and carted it back to the shop. The rock was almost perfectly round, with a circular hole bored in the center. In the next few weeks, they searched the area and eventually discovered about thirty-five more stones of similar appearance.
The artifacts soon came to the attention of James Moriarty III, a professor of history and archaeologist at the University of San Diego. After five years of research, Moriarty and his associate Larry Pierson concluded that the stones were anchors from an ancient shipwreck, possibly dating back some two thousand years. The largest object eventually brough to the surface weighed almost half a ton, leading the researchers to surmise that the ship it had come from was in excess of one hundred feet from stern to stern and may have carried a crew of fifty or more. The timbers of the ancient wreck had long since been battered to splinters on the treacherous coast of Palos Verdes peninsula. Through correspondence with scientists in Southeast Asia, Moriarty and Pierson deduced that the sandstone from which the anchors and ballast were fashioned was a type native to southern China. Although historians have began to take the idea of Chinese explorers more seriously in the last few years, at the time it was academic heresy to suggest that a non-European race had reached the shores of western North America almost 1,500 years before the Spanish made their first forays here in the sixteenth century. Mainstream archaeology massed to protect the status quo by first suggesting that the artifacts were merely leftover anchors from immigrant Chinese fishermen of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. But this explanation for the origin of the stones was refuted, since contemporary photographic evidence proved that the Chinese in California chose to employ readily available and much more practical metal anchors.
But that was not all that was found on the seabed near the Palos Verdes promontory: Two columnlike stones carved with grooves and holes, as well as a stone sphere weighing almost a ton with a groove cut around its circumference, were also recovered. No one could venture a guess as to what these objects were for and whence they came. Henriette Mertz, in her book Pale Ink, delved into the ancient Chinese legend of the land of Fu Shang. Although other scholars have found fault with her analysis, Mertz translated the old Chinese units of measure into miles and found that the tales of Fu Shang placed is location precisely at the California coast. Reading the stories told by the explorers, she also thought she recognized descriptions of Mount Shasta and the Grand Canyon.
The anchors found by Palos Verdes divers weren’t the first erratic Chinese artifacts to show up in America. A U.S. Geological Survey dredging operation had pulled up a similar object seventy-five miles off California’s coast. And earlier in the century, ancient Chinese inscriptions and relics had turned up in odd places around the West. Archaic Chinese rock writing had been found in a Nevada canyon, and a peculiar little idol covered with old Chinese characters was unearthed in Granby, Colorado: two more pieces in a vast, centuries-old Chinese puzzle.
For now, the academic battle still rages about the Palos Verdes artifacts. The anchor discovery may be the best challenge yet to orthodox American historians. For years, they have refused to believe that ancient Europeans and Africans had visited America before A.D. 1000, despite the Celtic stone cairns, Roman coins, and Phoenician urns that keep being uncovered on the New England coast. Now, from America’s western shore, comes a new affront to the continent’s “official” history: some doughnut-shaped stones tossed into the ocean two thousand years ago by Chinese sailors wrecked on the wave-lashed shores of Palos Verdes. It may take another generation for our school history books to catch up.
