I graduated with degrees in both theatre, and interpersonal communications. There is NO reason for Sabine to be facing in right now. Not at all. This scene we see from multiple angles, and multiple shots, which means it was a conscious decision for Sabine to take a few steps closer, and to turn her body towards Shin.
Sabine has been captured before—we see it in Rebels, when she’s captured by the Seventh Sister. In that instance, she defiantly turned away from her, and was in much more danger than she is with Shin right now (considering Baylan promised not to hurt her).
Whether or not shin/sabine becomes canon, it was a conscious acting, and directing decision to have her loosen up after a moment, move closer to, and turn towards Shin. Shin is only holding one of her wrists. It wouldn’t be uncomfortable for Sabine to keep facing forward, but instead she turns, and basically half loops her arm behind hers. Quite literally, this is how I turn and follow my own girlfriend, or how she would follow me. In fact, my first thought was how strikingly similar this positioning is to my own, actual, sapphic relationship.
No matter what becomes of them, the foundation is there, and it’s very, very telling in their body language—and I can say without a doubt, that was done intentionally.

You don’t understand how devastating I find Shin’s attire . Poor darling is so ragged and has darned and mended the ever-loving hell out of their clothes. And then compare that to anything Sabine or Ahsoka wears.
Tumblr media
They have spent so much time on the run, and still take so much pride in their appearance. The little gems in their Padawan braid, the stitching and darning on every part of their outfit, the bleached hair and eyeliner. Idk.
Tumblr media
It just makes me tear up at the thought of them finally settling down after weeks without rest , and going through the routine of brushing the bleach on their roots, painting their nails and then sitting down and stitching up the new tears in their clothes.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
It’s partly because they need to have some control over some aspect of their life but also because they don’t know the next time they’ll get new clothes.

"Sometimes we have to do what's right regardless of our personal feelings."
Hmm...
Ahsoka tells a rebellious young woman that she can't put the safety of the man who is her closest companion, fellow Rebel, and who she is clearly in love with, over the mission...
Where have I heard that before?
Oh.

Okay now that I’ve screamed about Ezra and Sabine a little bit (you will be getting so much more later) I want to talk about Enoch
Tumblr media
First of all he looks very menacing and cool
I just thought it was really interesting that they used his name so much. It felt very emphasized to the point that it was stuck in my head.
But as soon as I noticed the name I was thinking about where it was from (please note for the following section I have never read The Book of Enoch, I am not familiar with pretty much any religion for that matter and all of this info comes from a very quick google search)
I personally think that Filoni might be using the Hebrew meaning of the name Enoch
“The name of Enoch (Hebrew: חֲנוֹךְ Ḥănōḵ) derives from the Hebrew root חנך (ḥ-n-ḵ), meaning to train, initiate, dedicate, inaugurate” -Wikipedia
From the little we have seen of him so far he is Thrawn’s right hand man and the sort of leader of the troopers. Which I would say is dedication to Thrawn.
I wanted to add some different things I’ve read about him from other religions below the cut
Source: Wikipedia
“(The Book of Enoch) recounts how Enoch was taken up to Heaven and was appointed guardian of all the celestial treasures, chief of the archangels, and the immediate attendant on the Throne of God. He was subsequently taught all secrets and mysteries and, with all the angels at his back, fulfils of his own accord whatever comes out of the mouth of God, executing His decrees.”
“with the origin of writing and other technical arts of civilization, 371 including the study of astronomical phenomena, both of which Enoch is credited with in the Testament of Abraham.”
Source:
“Enoch is the pinnacle of this higher nature awareness. We could even say that Enoch is the ultimate symbol of Christ consciousness in the Old Testament.”
“Enoch is seventh in the line from Adam. As you may already know, seven is the number of fullness and completion. As we'll see in a moment, with Enoch it symbolizes the fullness and completion of GOD'S REVELATION! So seven generations after the fall from grace we have a symbolic spiritual resurrection in Enoch!”
“Enoch represents the mind of someone who has walked the spiritual path and attained enlightenment because he became one with God. We could also say that Enoch is the embodiment of the complete revelation of God in man.”
“The story of Enoch is symbolic in the true esoteric sense, and it was written to teach you about something wonderfully housed by the physical body!”
“Think as nothing as no-thing! Raw spirit or consciousness is truly no-thing. It is infinite, yet it has no definitive location. It certainly cannot be explained by thought or ideas, but it can be experienced. When the conscious observer truly realizes that all matter and form arise from one's thoughts, then you become aware of the higher nature of the self, which is non-physical and immortal. Upon this realization the path to spiritual enlightenment has begun. Enoch has realized this so completely that he symbolically becomes the higher self which is NOT a thing (the illusion of the physical body and the physical world), but rather that he is a spirit having a limited, conscious physical experience. In essence, Enoch symbolizes one who has completely crucified the ego as Christ symbolically did on the cross at Golgotha” -Talking about the next quote:
“And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.” -Genesis 5:23-24

Seriously peeps, how can I feel mad with all that perfection that was given to us?
This episode had a lot of little things that made it so enjoyable, even if it felt shorter.
First off, we feel Chopper getting attacked by Xiono's racist assumption towards droids which was both funny, and something I'm sure that ended up with us wanting our droid kick that insensitive mofo's ass.
C-3PO making his appearance in the Mandoverse at Leia's behest, backing up Hera during her trial.
Ahsoka slowly learning her final lesson as she trained.
MORE General Skywalker, even tho it was holographic.
SABEZRA MARRIED COUPLE VIBES WITH THEIR INTERACTIONS AND ARGUEMENTS!!
OUR SPACE KIDS KICKING ASS TOGETHER AGAIN!!!

Sabine: Hey, Marrok is about to take off his mask! We’ll finally find out who he is underneath!
Hera: My credits are on Barriss Offee. Those Holonet conspiracy theorists are still convinced she became an Inquisitor.
Ahsoka: What?? That doesn’t make any sense. It’s clearly not Barriss.
Sabine: Who says our theories have to make sense? I bet it’s Maul! That Zabrak is tough to kill.
Chopper: [warbling in binary]
Jacen: I’m with Chop! He’s either Mace Windu or Tech! You know what they say: no body, no death.
Shin: Does that apply to your father? Anyway, I’ll go with Eighth Brother. Similar helmet style and all.
Baylan: The voice and feet don’t match, though. Isn’t it possible that Marrok is simply an Inquisitor no one here has encountered before?
Thrawn: Possible, but unlikely. The distant, cosmic influence directing our collective narrative has consistently proven that they cannot resist inserting cameos whenever given the chance.
Ahsoka: Does anyone think it might be...Ezra...?
Sabine: That’s not funny! Don’t joke about the guy I’ve been desperately pining after — pining PLATONICALLY, guys! I swear! — for the last ten years turning to the Dark Side!
Jacen: Look! The mask is coming off!
Hera: Shush, everyone!
Marrok:

Real quick reminder for those that may have forgotten:
All three of the Mortis gods died during that arc. The Son killed the Daughter (who passed her life essence to Ahsoka which may or may not play a role later, jury’s out). The Father killed himself, and Anakin killed the Son.
This force apparition may not actually be Anakin. I don’t know. It’s going to definitely be the demon that Ahsoka must slay, or will guild her to slay (her Balrog, if you will-or won’t… I’m just following Filoni’s logic). It’s not a Mortis god, or at least any of the ones from The Clone Wars.

Finally got to the end of Rebels season 2 on my rewatch--and in light of the recent Ahsoka episodes, I found this exchange in Twilight of the Apprentice Part 1 very interesting:
Ezra *standing in front of the wide chasm in the Sith temple*: "Throw me. I'll jump, and you use the Force to throw me. My Master and I do it all the time."
Maul: *looking skeptical*
Ezra: *rubs the back of his neck* "Well, a few times"
Just as I thought--he does it when he's lying--or at least not telling the whole truth--though there may be other reasons as well (I'll definitely pay more attention from here on out).

Just realizing that when Ahsoka said she has no idea where they’re going, how much that applies to us as viewers.
So far, each episode has given us some general ideas about what could happen next. But now that we have our main characters in hyperspace on their way to unknown territories… we have no idea what’s coming next. Especially since we’ve had literally zero hints about what kind of situation Ezra and Thrawn are in.
Next episode could be a scavenger hunt or a bunch of intense fight scenes or a tear-jerking reunion. We could get a chunk of the episode dedicated to catching us up on Ezra and Thrawn’s lives, or we could not see them at all.
And if we do see them, we have no idea what it will look like. They could be enemies, buddies, tentative allies, or one as the prisoner of the other. They might be interacting with other beings in that galaxy or they might be completely solitary.
Or maybe this galaxy is really weird. Like alternate reality kind of weird. Maybe time moves differently or it’s even more high-tech than the regular galaxy or the Force feels different. Maybe the Force is completely different, because everyone always says the Force “binds the galaxy together,” so maybe the Force isn’t present elsewhere.
The possibilities are endless and I love it

So many Ahsoka theories!!
Ahsoka Spoilers::
The Daughter statue at the end of the Ahsoka finale looks frighteningly like Ahsoka.
So..... I feel like Ahsoka is the new daughter. I don't know if it works that way, but Anakin was the father and Ahsoka is the daughter. The Daughter's owl, Morai, has been following Ahsoka (so there's obviously a connection), and it would explain how she can access the World Between Worlds.
During the Mortis arc in The Clone Wars, the Father talks about how Anakin could rule the fate of the universe by replacing him. When the Father died, perhaps the role automatically fell to Anakin, also explaining his connection to the World Between Worlds.
I don't know who the son is. Maybe the son is Thrawn? He's evil and has shown ties to the galaxy. Idk.
--
If purrgil represent time & space, then the other galaxy (where Ezra went to) was the origin of the Star Wars galaxy we know of. Huyang did say "a long time ago in a galaxy far far away" when explaining the origins of life and the galaxy they were headed to.
So, I think it would be cool if it represents a new beginning for Star Wars canon, replacing the three deities while also tying the original, prequel and sequel trilogies together.
--
What if the planet Ezra was stranded on was Grogu and Yoda's home planet?? Maybe they came to our galaxy through purrgil. At some point, the Jedi found out about hyperspace through watching them (as explained in Star Wars Rebels).
----
I know this is nerdy and random, but I thought I'd put my thoughts down.

I'm curious about something. Why bring up the Noti being peaceful people unless it means something? I mean it's not like they've access to blasters etc. on Peridea, so it makes sense they have simple weapons. They also seem to prefer to hide, based on how they've seemed to design their shells to act as camouflage.
I wonder if Ezra being on the defensive also ties back to wanting to honour their beliefs? They don't want people to be killed at their expense, so he tries to not fatally harm anyone unless absolutely necessary. Was it a similar situation to the Lurmen from the Clone Wars and the Noti had been convinced by Ezra over time to at least use slingshots to defend themselves?
I can definitely see Ezra not using any wild force abilities because of their close proximity to the Noti and their caravans. He tries to buy time and offers to be taken prisoner not only to avoid fighting but also to distract attention from the Noti who would probably have been slaughtered by Shin for all we know.
