DEMON SLAYER HEADCANONS except it's stupid things I've done as a child

Basically what the title says, this is a little chaotic and it made me realise that I was a seriously weird kid😭 repost cause smth went wrong!!

🩷 Zenitsu once saw an open chocolate bar on the table and decided to take a small bit out of it. He then realised that it was one of those nasty yogurt health bars, he threw up afterwards

(he blamed the missing bite on inosuke afterwards).

🩷 Mitsuri was sort of a pick me as she would say things like "Only guys get my humour" or "Guys are much less drama" just so she could get more guys attention...

🩷 Inosuke ran into a road filled with driving cars when he was two, his care taker had to run and beg cars to stop driving so he could get hold of inosuke. Inosuke was somehow unharmed.

🩷 Sanemi once got so angry at Genya when they were younger that Sanemi took Genya's tablet and punched the screen so hard until it broke.

🩷 Genya thoroughly enjoyed eating lip balm, he still to this day will have a habit of licking his lips immediately after applying some

🩷 Muichirou was terrified of FNAF and Yuichirou would often hide in his closet at night and would jump out at him like that one foxy jumpscare😭. Muichirou did not feel safe at night afterwards...

🩷 Obanai was scared shitless of cats when he was younger and once when he saw a cat on the sidewalk he was walking on he ran into the road screaming to the other side of the road to get away from it.

🩷 Nezuko refuses to sleep at night unless it is with all of her toys, even those small plastic ones because she feared they would all feel left out and stop liking her which made her sad :(

🩷 Tanjiro had a similar problem but with his crayons. He would make sure to use all of them in a picture when he was younger so each crayon felt good abou themselves, even the white one😭

🩷 Uzui once saw a cute girl that was waaaaay too old for him at a gathering his parents brought him to. (He was 5 she was 16). He spent the whole night trying to look cool Infront of her and when it was time to go he fully believed they were gonna get married...

It took him 20 years to realize that he was at a family gathering and that the girl was his distant cousin whom he never saw again

🩷 Giyuu got in trouble often because he would always doodle over his work in school.

🩷 Once Genya made a small house in Minecraft that he was extremely proud of. Sanemi then got onto Minecraft and made a whole fucking castle just so he could put Genya in his place.

🩷 Akaza spent many of his days in class imagining how if there was an ambush of big men attacking the classroom he would go super saiyan and be able to take them all on in hand to hand combat. He was five.

🩷 Shinobu had a Gacha channel where she made those "doing your dares" videos with her oc's. She even had her own edgy boyfriend oc for her oc.

🩷 Muichirou for some reason memorised the whole Cat In the Hat movie script and would take videos of himself saying it word for word.

🩷 Rengoku helped a little girl go down a slide because it was obvious that she was scared. After that she then followed Rengoku everywhere until her dad took her home <3

🩷 Shinobu was caught watching gay ship amvs of her favourite cartoon on her tablet by Kanae. She cried the whole day, begging Kanae not to get her in trouble.

🩷 When Genya was little there was this small bowl and spoon that they would dish sugar out of. Genya would take that spoonful of sugar and eat it secretly. He was immediately caught because the spoon would be wet from his drool💀

🩷 Shinobu once got so pissed at kanae she " ran away from home" with a little suitcase filled with clothes. She really just went to the backyard where she sat down in the cold and finally went back in when Kanae called for dinner.

🩷 At night Inosuke would act all crazy and insane before bed so the " demons under his bed" knew that he was on their side💀

🩷 Giyuu was told by his sister that "God can make anything happen" in an uplifting way but instead it made Giyuu paranoid that a tsunami would come out of no where just to spite him for being naughty.

🩷 Sanemi purposefully stepped on a jelly fish at the beach and somehow didn't get stung...(im so sorry)

Thanks for the ask Neon! Bending the rules and going with my top 6!

❖ Demon Slayer, is my number 1 anime for the animation and music. The way the techniques are animated leaves me on the edge of my seat every time even if I have to wear blackout shades for flashing scenes. But the music OMFG. There is only one person I truly Simp for, and that is soundtrack composer Yuki Kajiura. She is my Hans Zimmer, and has had my soul since .Hack//Sign OST, she's also done Mai-Hime and Madoka Magica. When I heard the Akaza theme I flipped my shit because I instantly recognized her work, and I can't wait to hear what she does with the rest of the series. If you haven't watched yet Do It- the art will surprise you. Not even gonna get into my thirst for Tengen and Rengoku.

❖ Blue Exorcist. Such a great show over all! Shiemi was so important to me growing up as chubby traditional girl. Seeing her and Rin overcome their challenges, really pushed me to be more myself.

❖ The Cat Returns Movie. I was weak for Cary Elwes' Westley in Princess Bride, and I love his dapper cat character in this. Kiki's Delivery Service is a close second- but this is my favorite Ghibli movie. ❖ Apothecary Diaries. Newly added to the list! Wasn't what I expected but I love this little cat-coded detective with a love for poison. Much more adult than I thought but if you're ok with darker content elements, you should give it a try! Also Jinshi's english voice actor is also Gojo. ❖ Kaleido Star. This was my absolute favorite anime as a kid. When I was young, I thought my flexibility was a great thing and was convinced I was going to join Cirque du Soleil when I got older (spoiler alert, it was Ehlers-Danlos). It hasn't stood up to the test of time as well as other anime. But I believe that with updated animation- this would do amazing as a reboot in the Sports Anime category. There's this one scene where the main character's lit by the rising sun as her costume transforms and it still takes my breath away. (AMV that has the best quality shot of the scene at 2:34) ❖ A Vision of Escaflowne. One of my favorites, I'm sure I have nostalgia goggles on (the actual series, not the Fox Kids slice n dice), but I feel this one would do *So Well* as a reboot with updated animation and va. An Isekai with everything: ancient tech robots, secret royalty, hybrids, dragons, alternate worlds, steampunk. I would be lying if my fantasy/barbarian Bakugo were not heavily influenced by Van's opening fight scene in the movie. This AMV does a pretty good job of summarizing the series! YT JTA: What- it's not my fault that the song Sway came on in my playlist and it was a Hisoka AMV and it made me want to create the playlist with the new ship template I created on my main blog- I mean I did mean to create Sukuna next but the idea sorta just popped into my head and I had the energy to do it

Hisoka: *wraps his arms around her* Hmmm~ it's so nice to feel appreciated and to know that I'm on your mind~

Sukuna: I'm going to kill this brat

Ling: Wait, the template is 13, why does it only have 12?

Nagayuki: Wasn't the 13th the song for comfort?

Hisoka and YT JTA: *exchanges glances before laughing*

YT JTA: You think Jaz goes to this guy for comfort? *wheezes*

Hisoka: Our relationship is one created from the lust to fight and get stronger, face a strong opponent, and we just so happen to be each other's type

YT JTA: *wipes tear from eye after finishing laughing* funny- anyway, yeah plus Jaz is much cooler than Machi in Hisoka's eyes since she is stronger, wants to fight him, and is willing to develop the chemistry between them

Ling: But I thought-

YT JTA: Hisoka is no different from Akaza and Thorkell, he craves to fight a strong opponent to feel the thrill of battle. Anyone who says otherwise clearly don't understand human psychology, and those people are probably the same ones who thought L actually meant it when he said to Light that he's his first friend when in fact that was a lie to make fun of Light in front of the Task Force-

Ling: There she goes on a rambling tangent again

Greed: What were you originally gonna say anyway

Ling: I was gonna bring up that the point of being chosen by the dagger is that you're supposed to comfort Jazmine. I don't know what author-chan thought I was gonna say

Nagayuki: Didn't you hear? She lost the dagger after she stood up to fate

Takeyasu: And apparently she meant this Hisoka guy after that happened

Hisoka: You know it's rude to talk about someone like they're not there when they're still present~

Sukuna: Shut up brat!

Hisoka: Make me~

Ling: And there they go fighting...

Greed: So you're telling me he wasn't even chosen by the dagger?

Takeyasu: It's not like we can tell if the dagger is longer in Jazmine's possession

More spoilery thoughts and opinions on Episode 1 of the Swordsmith Village Arc

I've seen some opinions out there that the new OP is cheesy, and... you know what, it kinda is. However, this is also a bit of a cheesy arc for how it spoon feeds us the back stories of two Pillars without reaching the height of their arcs, like the previous two did with a focus on a single Pillar each. Plus, Gyokko and Hantengu are kind of the throwaway Moons. I'm sure the song will quickly grow on me and I really like some of the visuals and subtle use of early dawn lighting.

Poor Genya gets shafted though, he's bound to get Akaza come-from-behind marketing treatment, he has to. I had the pleasure this time overhearing an excited Genya fangirl leaving the theater.

Mitsuri really truly is adorable and I love her performance of so many lines, but... I kinda thought her interactions with Nezuko were gonna be cuter than that and I'm still sad I didn't get to hear her singing "Miya-san" so I guess I'll just have to do my best Hanazawa-san impression and sing it myself.

Gotou still steals the show, though. I know this is supposed to be the big flashy Upper Moon meeting in which the Fortress steals the show, but no, this was Gotou's stage. His vocal performance has so much personality and I love it.

Jumping back to non-spoilery territory, I love that scene of Gyutaro bullying Tanjiro, it's got so much impact. They went so hard on that and just slowing it down and letting every action breathe. Also, Daki's death tears me up EVERY TIME.

Also going backwards, I love the AMVs at the beginning, the editing on the Gurenge one is especially chef's kiss. Lining up Tanjiro's line with "terashite" is just wow.

I love Tanjiro banging his head on the floor. I love Nezuko crawling around under tables.

Tecchin's two styles of vocal performance worked so well for me. Also I love hearing all the Kakushi and random swordsmiths, I love how there's so many individuals in this Corp. I do not know what was up with the Kakushi waiting for Mitsuri to follow her, though. In the manga I read her discomfort as needing Mitsuri to hurry and come but being unable to pester a Pillar, but the anime the seemed to take it as the Kakushi being all fluffy in the head listening to to Mitsuri praise Tanjiro and give him advice (and to be fair, I was also fluffy in the head listening to that scene again, I feel all wrapped up and warm in Hanazawa-san's voice in surround sound), but.... it comes off like the Kakushi has a really, really big crush on Mitsuri. I mean, sure, but... it was a touch distracting.

I really don't mind the "Tanjiro is a shonen hero who has encounters with sexy women and he cannot help but be a bit bothered" thing. Tanjiro's as respectful as it gets for a teenage boy with a typical sex drive, what with being able to still carry on a conversation with Shinobu when she gets in his personal space or Mitsuri being absentmindedly provocative. Cover her!! Save the rice balls!! On the other hand, I was annoyed by Zenitsu's one appearance when I first saw this, but on second watch, yeah, what else do we expect from Zenitsu, it wasn't all that bad to just be excited that a girl might be thinking of him. But also, it's so sweet that Aoi got to have a little narration? I feel so bad for her running into walls, though!

Wow, that last paragraph was all over the place.

Kanao is still so timid, with how much she talks in the fight with Douma and even during the fight with Muzan, it's easy to forget she's still barely gotten used to this whole speaking up thing, after years of never saying anything unless prompted. Poor baby is still so fragile. I love how after her startling outburst Kiyo still winds up mothering her by suggesting what they go do next.

I really like Yoriichi's voice, it's similar to Tanjuro but filled with a very different mindset, one that really does make you feel what Tanjiro feels for him, wishes he wouldn't think such lonesome things. I like that he feels like a full grown man and not someone who can be confused with the teenage members of the cast. Also, great editing choice to end the episode on Tanjiro seeing the battle doll, instead of seeing it later on like he did in the manga. Also, baby Sumire has reddish hair, eeeeee!!!

THE TITLE CARD FOR THIS EPISODE HAD A MOTIF OF YORIICHI'S EARRING AND PLUM BLOSSOMS LIKE ON UTA'S KIMONO, EEEEEE

Speaking of previews, I was not happy to see all those previews of settings in the Infinity Fortress Arc. I'M NOT READY TO WATCH MORE PILLARS DIE, OKAY, but I do like that Ufotable is winking at us like, "oh yeah, you're totally gonna get it all, see, we already have models started." I assume they'll add more details once they're animating that season, but speaking of improving on the model in later seasons... HOLY SMOKES, LOOK AT DOUMA'S EYES

You know what? I found Gyokko's awkward/uncomfortable "uhhhhnnn"'s kind of endearing and I'm looking forward to more. Also, seeing him in animation is already making Hantengu grow on me in a "he's a funny little guy" kind of way. It'll be fun to hear the range on how he's performed.

So after I saw Mugen Train I was addicted to the fight between Akaza and Kyojuro and I haven’t stopped thinking about Kyojuro since, so I went onto YouTube and managed to find some amazing AMVs with music that fits Kyojuro so well and makes me think of him more so I thought I’d share some of them.
