Q: What fandom are you most involved in right now?. I'm currently deep into Marvel thanks to Hawkeye airing currently and a little movie called Spiderman released on Friday. I have tickets to see it Thursday night and I CANNOT WAIT. LITERALLY. I'm so scared of spoilers for the next few days, I had to get a ticket to see it ASAP!. The Fangirl's Guide To The Universe is such a cute and wholesome book if you're looking to join a new fandom or new to fandoms in general! It gives you tips on how to find your community and join in. Pretty much any fandom I've found is welcoming to those who are new. And remember, everyone is new to a fandom at one point in time!. This book also gives you lingo that fans use. I knew most of it, but I think this is a great book to give to a younger fan who is just learning the wonders the internet and real world can hold for them in terms of fandom. Looking to attend your first con? This book has some tips for that too. I've been waiting for the perfect moment to take this photo, and #AnimeNYC in my Honey Lemon from Big Hero 6 cosplay seemed like the perfect time. (#Baymax also helped.) AnimeNYC was a lot of fun, I just love cons in general so I'm happy I was able to attend back in November. Does it usually snow where you are in the winter? . Here in NC, we get snow every once in a while - about once per winter most years. The funny thing is that most of it melts by the afternoon after it fell, so it’s never a big deal. . Q: What genres did you read the most in 2021?? Happy Wednesday, Bookworms! Do you like my book stack snowman?? 😂 I knew I had to do this before the year ends, and it worked perfectly for today’s photo prompt. Corny, I know, but I dig it. 🥰 I wish it was cold enough here to get snow so I could make a real snowman, instead we have the air condition on because it’s so warm out. In December. 🤦🏻‍♀️ How’s the weather where you live? Did you read any particular genres the most this year?? For the first half of the year it was romance and fantasy for me, but then I started *really* getting into mysteries and thrillers around October, and I tell you, I am still hooked! 🥰 So, I devoured my two most favorite genres this year, but discovered a love for two more as well. What new books did you get this month?? And, how was your reading month?? Happy Thursday, Bookworms! There are only TWO more days left in December. Can you believe it?? 🤯 Did you have a good reading month?? Mine was decent, but not nearly as good as I had hoped. I did read some really great books though! (Swipe above to see those!) *Legendborn* and *Witches Steeped in Gold* are my two current reads that I’m determined to finish before the year ends, but I went ahead and included them in my wrap up. 🥰 And I added a LOT of new books to my collection this month as well. Like, way too many. I definitely need to do a buying ban in January. 😂 Some of these were gifts though! My daughter gifted me a new edition of *Pride and Prejudice*, and my hubby gifted me the new editions of *The Iron Fey* series and *The Martian*, which I read before but didn’t have a copy of. Have you started making a reading list for 2022?? What are some books that you’re super excited for? Happy Tuesday, Bookworms! And happy first day of Winter as well! Seriously, WHERE did fall go? It felt like summer for most of it. 🤣 I am definite looking forward to the colder weather, if we get any, and hopefully a little snow also. 🥰 Has anyone else started on a reading list for 2022?? What did you get?? 🥰 Did you DNF any books this year? I am the *worst* about not DNFing books… I almost always stick with them, even when I’m not enjoying them. BUT, I did end up DNFing a handful of books this year. Most were books that I thought were going to be cute romances, but absolutely were not, which was disappointing. I also set a few books aside this year, completely intending to get back to them eventually, but never did. Does that count as DNFing?? 🙈 What about you guys? 📚 What are your favorite book covers of 2021?? And/or, what are you reading this weekend?? It’s finally Friday, Bookworms! Is anyone else pretty thrilled that the weekend is finally here?? Are you reading anything awesome?? *The Righteous* by Renee Ahdieh released yesterday, and I’m thinking that I may start it after I finish my current reads. Q: Have your reading habits changed any in 2021?? Happy Sunday, Bookworms! Yesterday, as I was devouring yet another mystery book, I started thinking about my reading habits and how they have changed over the past year. (And past yearS.) My reading habits have changed a LOT over the years… I’ve really branched out a lot and am reading all different genres now, which is really nice. And over this past year I’ve gone from loving romance and fantasy, (which is still my faves!), to craving mysteries and thrillers, which is SO not like me. I’m still trying to figure out how that happened, but I’m definitely enjoying them at the moment. I’ve also started working time to read into my day now, including before bed, which has been a nice habit to start as well. 🥰 What about you guys?
