House of the Dragon Idea for a fanfic series.

Five times Aemond Targaryen died and one time he didn’t.

1. Driftmark - Claiming Vhagar doesn’t go so well.

2. Storm’s End - Already written, “Butterfly’s Wing” on ao3

3. King’s Landing: Blood and Cheese - Killed in his sleep, would probably be told from Alicent’s POV.

4. Rook’s Rest - Rhaenys wipes the floor with Aegon and Aemond, killing Aemond and Sunfyre, mortally wounding Aegon, and having Vhagar, newly riderless, wander off while Rhaenys deals with the Green Army.

5. King’s Landing: Fire and Blood - Daemon (probably) puppets Aemond with blood magic he picked up from Visenya’s journal or something and makes him kill all the Greens before killing himself.

+1. Dragonstone - Aemond figures out that he is number 1 on the Blacks’ hit list given he rides Vhagar and takes the news to Dragonstone himself upon Viserys’ death, pledging his loyalty to the new queen.

i just rewatched ep 6 and honestly something abt aegon strikes me as natural talent bored to death. plus the fact he's the oldest of the kids so more exp. which probably got to his head

he yawns at the dragonpit, yet its mentioned he's mastered sunfyre. he's also the most active/dynamic of the kids during the training. ser criston pays a lot of attention to him plus he kinda uses aegon as a proxy to get at the strong boys 🤔 i'm so curious what they'll do with the aegon/criston/aemond dynamics. like aegon disrespects his granpa and makes ser criston hand for what? as a lil prank? a lil jesty jest? lmao

something i've not considered is that the aegon of aemond's younger days might always loom over aemond's mind: in sexual aspects, targ dragonriding aspects, and maybe even sword fighting? like aegon's not particularly bad even when hes 2v1 against ser criston 🤔 swift as a viper 🐍 like things come easy to aegon, he's rarely challenged truly that's why he barely tries and just hangs about beating his meat. like ik it pisses aemond off and deep down, even after claiming vhagar plus growth spurt, he was a lil glad aegon fell off lmao.

something abt alicent/aegon/criston that struck me is how sassy, backhanded and sly they are. menaces. i love them

also ser criston's "my lord of the straw" won't leave my mind that shit was funny lmao he's a little jokster. aegon's "you dare put hands on me [bitch]?!!!" to harwin. viserys' "aegon! :("

What can I say, anon, you basically read my mind. :)) I touched on some points you mentioned here, here and here. I too had this feeling Aegon is naturally talented, but loses interest and doesn't apply himself. There is this role-reversal in later years between Aegon and Aemond, as Aegon naturally started out as the more experienced party, in everything from sword-fighting to dragon-riding to the, er? art of romance, if we can call it that - as a mentor to figure to Aemond, only to be overcome in nigh all fields by his little brother.

Though it must make him feel some kind of way, I wonder if this downwards trajectory wasn't quickened by the eye gouging incident and the official confirmation of their father's neglect. Alicent slaps Aegon then, insisting that he should have "watched over" his little brother and, while that is obviously an emotional exaggeration (as Aegon did nothing wrong in that instance), I do wonder whether he doesn't carry some guilt for what happened. Like maybe thinking how, if Aemond trusted him more and were closer to him, he would have confided in him and revealed his plans. Then Aegon could have joined him in this adventure at least, ensuring that no fight would later take place. I wonder if these intrusive thoughts didn't contribute to his drinking problem and lapse into hedonism. Thus, when Aemond finally overtakes him in skill, perhaps a part of him feels like he deserves it?

By the way, you can say you hate characters and STILL admit that they were abused or harassed. There's literally nothing wrong. Denying it or romanticizing it because of a strange kink of yours won't make your hate any less evident, trust me.

Rhaenyra was abused. She's continuously taken advantage of, and brushed away the moment she isn't needed anymore. And she experiences this first hand with her own father, who completely ruins motherhood for her when she grows up watching Aemma get impregnated and either miscarry or have the baby be stillborn or die in the cradle. If Viserys had been by her side as a supporter to her claim since the start, he wouldn't have gotten Aemma pregnant again and again in the pursuit of a male child. He wouldn't have married Alicent for the same reason. Even after, the only reason why he still stands by her side, and it's time the fandom accepts this, it's solely because of his grief and guilt, because Rhae is the only remnant of Aemma.

And there it starts. Firstly, groomed and left alone naked and alone by her uncle in a brothel. Secondly, slept with Criston Cole (although she did coerce him, that's still a literal TEENAGER) then she's married to a gay man and still approached super young by her new bodyguard and just one year later she's started giving birth to his children. (Side note: FUCK Rhaenyra x Harwin. FUCK with reverb. With hard K.)

And up to this point, most fan agree that she's had a shitty life, although I don't agree with some of her choices. (like her treatment of Criston Cole and the bastards, not because I'm some kind of bigot, but because passing bastards as trueborn in THAT precise world sets them up for failure, not being legally deserving of a thone DOES NOT mean me hating them. That's for another post.)

To top it all off, she meets her uncle again, and there starts the fanfic self insert. They have sex on a beach the day of Laena's funeral, the only one of the three wives he's ever been canonically loyal to (FUCK you writers) and fans think it's soulmates meeting again or sum shit. They subtly threaten Laenor to fake his death or actually die (that's what they were trying to do, cope harder) and marry mere days after the death of Laena.

Yes, all cute and romantic (for Dumbnyras twats) but literally, has it done anything good? For Rhaenyra or like, anyone else? It just brought Daemon closer to the line of succession. Literally. That's all the good it has done.

Fast forward to ep 10. How do I even start with this? Only Jace seems to be on Rhaenyra's side. It's clear he only obeys to Daemon out of fear and is scared to talk back to him. Meanwhile, he COMPLETELY disregards his wife's, and by his faction's loyalties, QUEEN's, orders, he ignores her wails of pain as she miscarries their daughter out of pure shock and grief for her father's death. He lashes out and chokes her on the same day and people still see him as the malewife to Rhaenyra's girlboss. They're always ready to do award-deserving mental gymnastic to justify this man.

"He was planning war because he wanted to distract himself!!!!" "He only choked Rhae because he was mad at Viserys, he'd never hurt her!!!!!!"

Fuck off. Coming from probably Rhaenyra's #1 hater. Fuck. Off. Don't say you care about her place in the view of men when you're ready to justify shit like this.

This is the same man who runs off and has an affair with a teenager, and then prefers going on and having a badass death instead of joining his wife and children who need him in King's Landing.

Do I like Rhaenyra? No. Do I think that, because of this, she's never been abused, or exploited in any way, in her life? ALSO no. My distaste for her character has NOTHING to do with Viserys, Criston, Daemon, Harwin or literally ANYONE ELSE in her life.

Anyone who can read this and argue that Alicent is envious/jealous or bitter, honestly needs to take the heart shaped sunglasses off, get off tumblr and Ao3, learn what media literacy is and start learning how to possess a crumble of it. To us it makes sense to synpathize with both, because we've seen the big picture. To Alicent, Rhaenyra gave her virtue to the man that almost killed her brother, and chose to believe she did not out of trust and maybe nostalgia for her friendship and easier times, only to have her father be blamed and taken away from her as a result.

She has four kids in the span of, how much? Five, six years? Seven at best? Helaena and Aemond are NINE MONTHS APART. Viserys didn't even let her rest after she gave birth to her daughter. And I'm convinced 100% that he kept her as Idk some whore he didn't need to pay for because it's stated that he never wanted Aegon but the son he butchered Aemma for. Why keep on bedding her and forcing children on her when you'd never get what you want from her?

Throughout the series she's called bitter and downright a c*nt for this and that reason. She tries convincing Viserys that Rhae's children are CLEARLY bastards and she's setting herself and them up for failure by committing treason and putting them on the throne? Nah, power hungry, jealous, bitter. She marries Helaena to Aegon as a last resort because she's Valyrian and probably would've received proposals worse than the ones Rhaenyra made that would eventually convince Viserys to give her away? Hates her daughter, abuser, shitty mom. Rhae's sons slit her son's eye out instead of running when they had the chance and she rightfully lashes out? Nah, crazy ass, for the dungeons. She gives money and moon tea to her son's rape victim to ensure she gets a way out and isn't forced to have a baby she doesn't want? Bruh, rape apologist. She goes to Aegon and RIGHTFULLY disciplines him? Abuser. Forced to show her feet to a rancid filthy man to know where her son is? Upholds the patriarchy, hypocrite. She convinces Aegon to start fighting for her family because it's either them or the Blacks and he needs to start putting his life together and fight for them, so she crowns him and makes him King? Treason, deserves death, long live the brothel queens.

Somehow, it is ALWAYS HER FAULT. And those few that admit how wronged she was make fun of her.

CAN SHE FUCKING WIN?! Or y'all just hate her because she isn't Valyrian?

Btw almost all of these arguments are the same for Book!Alicent who I personally believe to be FAR MORE than just a bitter stepmom that hates her stepdaughter. She arguably has more reasons to start a coup against her in the books without that prophecy shit.

TLDR; It's OKAY to hate characters and admit they're abused and taken advantage of at the same time. You don't have a moral high-ground on no one because you hate or love a character instead of the other.

Hot take, but I personally think all the Criston Cole hate is bs. He's probably one of the most despised characters in hotd and the slander is so unjustified.

Like damn, are you guys really going to hate on him for despising Rhaenyra after all she put him trough?

I'm 100% certain that if the genders were swapped almost everyone would side with him.

Just imagine a girl that owes her dream job on a prince that is in a significant position of power over her. One night, after things don't go his way, he makes sexual advances on the girl. She feels like she has to sleep with him, because of how he helped her achieve her goal. Also because if she refuses, the prince may be enraged and make up a lie to get her executed. Afterwards, she feels dirty, she knows she broke her oath, and that if caught she would be tortured and murdered, so she deludes herself into believing they love each other and should run away together. At least that way, she won't have ruined her life in vain.

But when she tells the prince her plan and confesses her feelings, the prince tells her that he's not willing to give up the throne for her and that all he wants her for is sex. She's pretty much just his glorified whore.

I bet all I have that in this case everyone would call Rhaenyra an evil fuck boy misogynist who only sees ladies as objects to sleep with. But since she's a girl, then the fandom views her as an empowered, sexually liberated girlboss who takes what she wants. Even if that leads a man to almost committing suicide.

The fact that the fan base also has the nerve to call him a pathetic incel is just the icing on the cake.

Guys, I'm not sure if you now, but hating a woman for something that has happened between you is not the equivalent of hating all women.

Criston hates her and her only, while treating every other lady in the show with great respect, hell he worships the ground on which Alicent walks! And scolds Aemond for how he treats sex workers, 'Cause for him they should all be respected like the mother! He's probably one of the least sexist characters in hotd lmao.

Sometimes I wonder if Rhaenyra stans can't stand him because they genuinely can't fathom a man receiving her advances, being offered to be her lover, and rejecting. Like "how dare him break our queen's heart!"

hotd episode 9 thoughts:

thought i might miss rhaenyra & daemon & co in this episode, but there was enough tension and drama that i honestly didn’t and i think it was a good choice to have the whole episode be centered around the greens.

i do have to admit i’m a little amused that the way they stretched out the green council plot was by having people run around king’s landing looking for aegon. an egg hunt, one might say…

olivia cooke was absolutely FANTASTIC in this episode she did such a good job of showing how alicent was pulled between her love for rhaenyra and what she thought was her duty.

rip lyman beesbury you spent most of your screen time talking about boring finance stuff but you were a real one when it counted.

let out an actual flinch when they mentioned storm’s end and lord baratheon’s unmarried daughters. if you know you know.

helaena with her bug embroidery was so cute.

i don’t know who in this fandom coined the phrase “mommy’s favorite war criminal” in relation to aemond and alicent but i am literally incapable of not thinking it when they have a scene together now, so that’s your influence.

rhaenys was such a badass in this episode, i love her very much. her scene where she told alicent that she wasn’t seeking freedom but rather to make a window in her prison wall … oh hell yeah it was everything i wanted someone to say to alicent.

the whole otto vs alicent plot was SO good i am ready for their relationship to fall apart. alicent calling him out for manipulating her whole life was incredibly satisfying, i’ve literally been waiting all season for it.

criston cole saying all women are made in the image of the mother and they should be treated with reverence … i believe that’s what we call irony.

i enjoyed aemond complaining about aegon and how he should be king instead, it was a great insight into his character. also, aemond targaryen canonical nerd.

i do have to respect mysaria for just being totally on her own side with her own agenda and willing to support whoever will further it.

her stuffing aegon underneath the sept to keep him safe was honestly kind of hilarious.

aegon running away from his coronation was a bit funny but mostly just very sad. he doesn’t want it! he doesn’t want to be king! this whole tragedy could have been averted if not for the forces pushing him around!

the fight between aegon and aemond WAS extremely funny though. the hair pulling, the spitting, the rolling around on the ground shouting … peak sibling behavior.

as a twin i greatly enjoyed the building tension between erryk and arryk and their conflict about serving aegon, it’s going to lead to so much drama.

i could have lived a long and happy life without seeing that scene between alicent and larys. but unfortunately i have seen it. and now i must life with the trauma.

big fan of how completely dead-eyed and miserable aegon looked during the coronation scene, props to tom glynn-carney for his acting.

the scene with rhaenys and meleys bursting through the bottom of the dragonpit was extremely cool and i was rooting VERY hard for her to murder aegon even though i know it wasn’t going to happen. your dragon stepped on a bunch of people what’s torching one guy after that!

category 5 event imminent i spy aemond taking off his eyepatch and vhagar up to no good in the trailer for episode 10.

literally since the moment this show was announced i have been steeling myself to see That Event at storm’s end adapted and now that we’re almost there i would like to publicly announce that i am still! not! ready!!

For weeks now, things have been going missing around the Red Keep.

First, an emerald brooch belonging to Alicent disappears. She cannot find it when she searches her jewellery box. Helaena is then devastated when she sees that her favourite necklace is gone, a Valyrian steel chain with a pendant in the shape of a spider, a ruby for its abdomen. She only took it off for a moment while she went to bathe, but when she came back to her bedchambers, it was no longer on the dresser where she left it.

The servants are questioned sharply and their quarters searched - however, nothing is found, and so the mystery remains unsolved. Aegon feels particularly aggravated upon waking one morning to find his beloved silver wine goblet has been taken from his bedside.

Additional guards are placed around the Keep to man all points of exit and entry. Yet, things of value continue to vanish into thin air.

It is early evening when Aemond returns to his chambers, having spent the afternoon in the yard sparring with Ser Criston Cole. He freezes when he sees the cloaked figure. He knows immediately that this is the culprit of the recent thefts. They disappear through an opening in the wall upon noticing his return, a passage into his chambers that Aemond never even knew existed.

He knows it would be wiser for him to raise the alarm with the guards and have them chase down this thief. But he also knows that every moment he wastes is another moment that they get further and further away, decreasing the chances of their capture. Without another thought, he throws on a cloak of his own to conceal his identity and gives chase.

The opening in his bedchamber wall leads to a winding stone staircase. He races down it, catching sight of the person as they reach the bottom and run out through a wooden door. Aemond hastens his pace, he pursues them down Aegon's High Hill via the twisting path of Shadowblack Lane.

The thief's pace is no match for Aemond's long strides and he quickly catches them up as they attempt to lose him down an alleyway at the bottom of the hill.

Angrily, Aemond yanks them back by the shoulder, spinning them around and slamming them back into the wall.

"What did you take from me?!" he demands, his hand seizing their throat as he awaits their answer.

Aemond's eye goes wide as their hood falls back, revealing a young woman - a beautiful woman. He had not been expecting that. Previous experience with miscreants convinced him that he would be apprehending a man.

Her eyes are fiery with anger; she juts out her jaw in defiance as she looks up at him. "Let me go, Prince!"

She spits the final word with such venom, as though it is an insult. It shakes Aemond from his state of shock, and he tightens his hold on her throat with renewed annoyance.

"Show me what you took." His voice is cool and calm sounding; however, his brow is furrowed with irritation, his nostrils flaring.

"Is the spoiled Prince going to miss his little trinket?" she pouts mockingly, holding out a silver dragon head cloak pin on the upturned flat of her palm.

Aemond's eye flickers downwards and she uses the momentary distraction to push back against him, attempting to escape. He is much too quick for her though, crowding her back against the wall, unsheathing his dagger and pressing it to her throat.

"Is the wretched little street rat going to miss her life, when I take it from her?" he sneers at her.

She says nothing. She is not afraid to die. She stares him down, maintaining eye contact, a silent challenge. Do it, I dare you.

Aemond had fully been expecting her to scream or at least plead for her life. He is stunned once more as he looks upon her, his face mere inches from hers.

She does not miss it when his gaze drifts to her lips, hesitantly lowering his blade. She lunges forward, sinking her teeth into his bottom lip so hard she tastes blood, before making another run for it.

He drags her back by the hood of her cloak and surprises even himself when he pulls her against him, kissing her hard.

She is taken aback by the Prince's actions at first, but finds herself melting into his embrace, the metallic tang of his blood hot in her mouth as she kisses him back. She breaks the kiss, letting out a light gasp when she feels Aemond's hands wander beneath her cloak.

Aemond lets out a satisfied "mmm" as he gropes at the warmth of her body through her clothes. She is soft and pliant against him. When their lips are no longer touching, he dives in to mouth hungrily at her neck. Ordinarily, he would never behave in such a depraved manner, but this woman's open defiance of him has seemingly awoken something within him that he is unable to render dormant again.

She fights hard to keep her wits about her as her body betrays her with its wanton response to Aemond's attentions, her head becoming foggy with lust. Deciding to take matters into her own hands, she uses his unguarded stance to push him back against the wall. Their lips meet once again, a sloppy mess of blood, teeth and tongues as her hand creeps its way up his solid thigh muscle.

Aemond's breath hitches as he feels her fingers wandering up his leg. He grunts as they slide home to grasp at his cock. He is hard. Of course he is; how could he not be when this temptress has been taunting him since he first laid eyes upon her?

She smirks as she feels his want for her through his breeches. Their lips cease their movements, but do not part as they pant against each other. Her hand takes a firm grasp of him through the material, moving it up and down.

Aemond's eye flutters closed as he voices a groan. Her touch builds a pressure at the base of his spine. His hips buck to meet her hand. And then she is gone.

His eye snaps open in time to catch a glimpse of her running full speed away from him down the alley. He does not chase after her. Shock keeps his feet planted firmly to the floor as he struggles to catch his breath and bring himself back to reality.

It's then that he realises he is no longer in possession of his dagger - he never got his cloak pin back from her, either.

"Shit!" he exclaims quietly, turning and heading back to the Red Keep.

When Aemond returns to his chambers that evening, he leaves the door to the passageway in the wall slightly ajar. Should she ever choose to come back, he'll be ready for her.

How do you feel that the show cast Aegon as a rapist and Rhaenyra as someone "worthy of the throne"? I still support the green team and Alicent, but Aegon has made me feel uncomfortable. Now people see the green team as supporting an abusive king and that disappoints me.

I was so annoyed with their decision to make Aegon a rapist. It was done solely in order to shove it down viewers throats that the greens are bad.

There was zero reason to make him such a disgusting creep and piece of shit other than to make Rhaenyra seem like the better option. It’s a lazy attempt to remove nuance from the show and push the narrative “team black good” “team green bad”.

Now, team green will always look like rape apologists or supporters of a rapist. All our arguments can be shut down by “Well look who your side is trying to put on the throne.” When in reality, every green supporter I’ve seen actually despises Aegon. We aren’t team green because we want Aegon specifically to be king. We are team green for a lot of other, different reasons. For example, we support Alicent, and we see how she has been abused for decades and how her fear for her children’s safety is valid. We also see how Rhaenyra has been making some crucial mistakes that make her a less than ideal heir and queen.

Rhaenyra has had two decades to do anything to help herself politically. But she has done absolutely nothing. Two decades she could have used to make alliances, find individuals she trusts to form a small council, form policies she believes in, hell even come up with a succession law to fix the issues that have existed for so long. But she has done nothing other than have illegitimate kids with Harwin Strong, pine over her uncle, excuse the mutilation of her brother (and ask for further torture), and hide behind her daddy to avoid consequences.

By making Aegon a rapist it’s an easy out to ensure that no matter how inept and how cruel Rhaenyra becomes, team green will be the bad guys.

Vaemond Velaryon was fighting to keep his homeland within his family and not given to white children that are not related. But he called a Rhaenyra a “whore”, so clearly he’s a bad guy and deserved to be killed. Aemond picked up a rock to defend himself against 4 people beating him up. But he called the Strong boys “bastards”, so clearly he’s a bad guy and deserves to have his eye gouged out. They do this time and time again so that team green will always be painted as villains. This is just yet another attempt to show that Rhaenyra is the good guy whom we must support. Even if the evidence is contrary.

This also isn’t taking into account Rhaenyra’s actions with Criston Cole in which she uses her status to coerce him into sleeping with her even after he explicitly says “No”. Many have pointed out that that scene was dubcon at best, and rape at worst. We hear him say no. We see him hesitant to participate. And we see him break down after the event from shame and guilt. So…Rhaenyra stans are really pots calling kettles black lol.

TLDR: Aegon being a rapist serves to make greens look like bad people, so we have to prefer Rhaenyra. But in the end…no green fans like Aegon. We just really hate Rhaenyra who is also not a good person with a clean sexual record when it comes to consenting participants.

I never said it in any post but I'm sure Reader knows how to fight. I find it hard to believe that Corlys didn't teach her daughter to defend herself against her. She knows how to handle the sword because he and her uncles taught her how to use it. She used to fight with Laenor.

Even so, Reader prefers knives because they are easier to hide and if someone attacks her, no one expects her to have her weapons hidden.

I have the headcanon that when she was little and she accompanied her father and her uncles to sail, a sailor taught her to throw knives.

I can definitely see Reader on the parade ground accompanying the children in her lessons. I would be aware that Criston Cole does not overextend them.

I CAN TOTALLY SEE the reason for the bullying being the fight for Reader's love. I don't feel like she disowns Jacaerys, Lucerys and Joffrey but it is evident that she loves the green children more and that she is more affectionate with them.

I really love your headcanons. Rhaenyra always tries to find an excuse to be with you, she looks forward to every time Viserys orders family dinners because that's the only way you'll agree to have dinner with her and she also takes advantage of your affection for Jace to get him to invite you. to spend time with them.

People see Reader as a nice and kind person, which shee is but sometimes she is nice to court people that she doesn't really like just to have allies. Larys is the first to notice, she begins to notice how the wrinkles around your eyes aren't as deep when your smile isn't sincere or how your fake laugh tends to be shorter.

THE GROOMING

Well this is my first post, first I want to clarify that I am not a person who usually has popular opinions in the fandom… soo… many people will not like what I say… but hey, that's the purpose of this profile expel my opinions on different topics.

I also want to clarify that English is not my first language (it is Spanish) and you will probably find spelling horrors, so if you want to comment in Spanish you are free to do so.

By the way, I'm new to Tumblr, so I don't know why I get a lot of shit from the green team, fans of Alicent and the funny but fateful ship of Renada and Alicent, by the way ,HELP!!! I need to get out of there.🤣

but hey, I came across a post that talked about the supposed grooming that Daemon did to rhaenyra (bringing current morality to a work based on medieval times, that it seems fatal to me to do that more in a work with the nature of ASOIF, where Most characters border and play with the limit of morality ) and said that He had been grooming her since She was little and that Alicent herself was uncomfortable with daemon's dealings with rhaenyra. Well, I'll tell you my opinion about this and about who really groomed Rhaenyra.

Starting with the time lines (it should be clarified that I will use the true CANON, the books)

Rhaenyra is born in 97 ac, and Daemon is 16 years old when she is born and they give him darksister becoming a knight, that same year Daemon marries Rhea, then He is sent to live with his wife in runestone, therefore Daemon watches sporadically Rhaenyra and when He visited Kings landing , He did not spend 24/7 with her although He brought gifts to rhaenyra, and also his life on silk street was well known, and later in 103 to 104 is where they put him in The great advice… that we already know doesn't work and he's only been in these positions for 6 months. They give him permission to create the city wacht and he was in that position for 2 YEARS where he spent killing thieves and rapists, drinking and fucking whores. That he "lived" (that he practically did not live there) in the fortress did not mean that Rhaenyra looked at it every day and lived with him all the time. In 105 Aemma died and that same year Daemon was expelled from Kl, when Rhaenyra was 8 YEARS OLD, DAEMON returns to court in 111, that is, He was out of court for 6 YEARS… Daemon was never a constant in rhaenyra's childhood because he passed through silk street or was expelled in the valley.

Now let's talk about the men who really did that to rhaenyra if we use the term Grooming (which is stupid to use since it is a term that refers to the use of ICT and current moral and ethical standards).

But let's start with one loved and acclaimed by my dearest green team, the great white knight, the great Criston Cole who met her at age 7 (in the maiden pool tournament) and he was 22 years old and in the same year where he was named her sworn shield (he is 15 years older than rhaenyra). He saw her grow up and he was glued to her 24/7, who the great Queen Alicent herself said "that he protected Rhaenyra but nobody protected her from him" of course we do not talk about grooming anymore right?

Do all of you want to continue? Well, let's continue, now with the supposed "strongest man of the 7 kingdoms", Harwin strong, who arrived… guess when to court? at 105, and how old was rhaenyra at 105? yess!! You guessed it!, she was 8 years old, and you can't tell me that he wasn't close to her and that he didn't see her grow up, because her sisters were ladies of Rhaenyra. ….

and guess how many years Harwin is older than her? yes, 8 years … and who is the father of her first childrens? …. spoiler …. is not laenor, but no one talks about these great and honorable gentlemens … only Daemon who didn't see her grow up and was not even a quarter as close to Rhaenyra like Cole or Sir Strong….

As I repeat, it seems stupid to me to use the term in a work with a medieval context, where the majority of women married between the ages of 14 and 16 and if you passed that age you were a spinster or something was strange with you….. AND I THINK MORE HYPOCRITE for an alicent fan to say… DO YOU WANNA READ ME TO TALK ABOUT ALICENT? let's talk about alicent… an 18-year-old single "maiden" daughter of a second son who, since she did not inherit anything, would have to look for a husband at an early age who would give her strength and children. but conveniently she was single and willing to marry a man with a daughter… who wanted her own children to be kings who got to marry her 13-YEAR-OLD daughter to her brother who was only 2 years older than her "normal" but who collected bastards as a hobby… and there is much more to say about alicent…

but hey, this post already seems like a legal document… I'll leave it here.

Not someone in real life coming to lecture me because I hate and criticize the character of Aegon II and more particularly Criston Cole from HOTD and Fire and Blood but love the character of Adam in Hazbin Hotel ?!

I'm not kidding, a guy literally barged into a discussion I was having with a friend at university to try to judge my fictional tastes. That’s crazy.

Also, a guy being a greens stans ? How surprising (#irony) !

Also, sorry not sorry, Adam from Hazbin Hotel is a much better villain / antagonist, and even just character, than Aegon II will ever be !

Already, he has the class of the designer, his dubbing is also perfect, his lines are hilarious, his song is great, he has a real relationship that is appreciable for the fans, clearly based on true affections / love (platonic I mean, even if I ship) with his female lieutenant Lute.

Without forgetting his whole rather vague past in the series, in particular with the story of the apple allowing us to know the difference between good and evil, of which we actually have no idea if he bit it like Eve did it in this version.

I certainly won't apologize for liking a character like Adam.

I even hope that he will return as a fisherman in season 2 with a little hope !

Adam is a thousand times better than Criston Cole in every sense of the word. It's just a fact.

my favourite thing about those ‘what team would the asoiaf characters support in the dance’ is that there ARE a few characters with canon opinions on the dance but only characters the kind of people making those lists don’t care about. they occasionally acknowledge stannis being anti-rhaenyra to call him bald and washed and ugly they occasionally acknowledge arianne as a team black dornish girlboss they obviously don’t know as a character and then the rest of the canon/half-canon opinions are shireen arys oakheart (they have not heard of him. team black) viserys iii and bobby b (both team green in the lore videos mainly to show that the greens are in the wrong. viz iii has consistently bad takes he doesn’t like rhaenyra OR aegon but thinks aegon is the rightful heir and he’s also a criston cole fan. bobby b’s politics boil down to raghhhhh baratheon) when they just want to argue over who sansa would support. sansa would support whatever team got to her first and then realise the whole thing’s horrible
