In The Boys spin-off Gen V, Patrick Schwarzenegger and Asa Germann discuss their superpowers and jaw-dropping antics.

The first four episodes of the spinoff are now available exclusively on Amazon Prime Video, with new episodes launching every Friday until the series finale on November 3.

The first four episodes of The Boys spin-off drama, Gen V, premiered on Prime Video to fantastic reviews from critics, viewers, and fans of The Boys series, who are enthralled by Gen V's wicked badassery. The universe is expanded to Godolkin University, where the ensemble cast encounters dramatic events amid their supe-style power struggles and never-ending partying. With the race to join The Seven looming over their heads, the stakes are higher as the kids compete for popularity and excellent grades. Gen V has increased the blood, gore, and exhilarating action to match the intensity of its predecessor! The major performers have spoken up about their characters' diverse abilities and the training that went into them. "Sam is really, really strong," said actor Asa Germann, who plays the character. Basically, if a regular Supe punches someone and breaks their arm, when Sam punches someone, they explode. He can also jump very high and become quite agitated. The show has a lot of amazing scenes." Despite having a decent heart, Germann is troubled by hallucinations, which make it difficult for him to distinguish between what is and is not reality. "Stunt training is insane," he continues. I'm not athletic; in fact, I'm the most uncoordinated person on the earth. It's been quite difficult. We have a fantastic stunt team here that are training us. I've never worked on a project where you truly play as a badass superhero who needs to know how to screw up a number of people in a short amount of time!" Patrick Schwarzenegger also explains why his superpower figure is ranked first: "Golden Boy's power is that he can light on fire." He has flames, but he's also tremendously strong, and I believe he's stronger than almost everyone at the school, as evidenced by some of his combat talents. He's powerful. He sets himself on fire. He's simply capable of kicking everyone else's ass, which is why he's number one." Jaz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, Lizze Broadway, Shelley Conn, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sean Patrick Thomas, and Marco Pigossi star in the series. Clancy Brown and Jason Ritter make appearances, as do Jessie T. Usher, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit, and P.J. Byrne, who reprise their roles from The Boys. The first look at The Boys season 4 focuses on Butcher and Homelander, as well as the upcoming election day.

The Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television series will launch in 2024. Following the spectacular season finale of Gen V, where fans got to see Butcher and Homelander's surprise cameos, Prime Video has unveiled first-look teaser art of Billy Butcher, played by Karl Urban, and Homelander, played by Antony Starr, from the upcoming Season Four of The Boys. The global smash series, which has received Emmy nominations, will return in 2024.

The Boys is a lighthearted and satirical look at what happens when superheroes, who are as popular as celebrities, as powerful as politicians, and as revered as gods, abuse their superpowers rather of using them for good. The Boys, a squad of vigilantes, continue their heroic quest to expose the truth about The Seven and Vought—the multibillion-dollar business that manages the superheroes and conceals their dirty secrets. It appears to be powerless in the face of the all-powerful. The Boys is based on the New York Times best-selling comic by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, who also serve as executive producers, and was created by Eric Kripke, who also serves as executive producer and showrunner. Executive producers include Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Phil Sgriccia, Craig Rosenberg, Ken F. Levin, Jason Netter, Paul Grellong, David Reed, Meredith Glynn, and Michaela Starr. Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television are producing The Boys, along with Kripke Enterprises, Original Film, and Point Grey Pictures.

Nick Jonas is proud of Priyanka Chopra as she gets nominated for Critics Choice Super Awards for Citadel

Back in May 2023, Prime Video renewed the series for a second season with Joe Russo set to direct every episode and executive producer David Weil returning as showrunner.

The nominations for the 4th annual Critics Choice Super Awards 2024 have been revealed, showcasing the cream of the crop in action, superhero, horror, and sci-fi or fantasy films and TV shows from the past year. Among the nominees, one name shines particularly bright is Indian actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas. Her recognition comes in the form of a nomination in the Best Actress In An Action Series category, courtesy of her role in the action-packed series, Citadel. Adding to the buzz surrounding Chopra's nomination is the heartfelt support from her husband, singer Nick Jonas.

Taking to his Instagram story, Jonas shared a screenshot of the nomination list featuring Priyanka's name prominently displayed. Alongside the image, he penned an encouraging message, “Let's go Priyanka. #proud,” followed by a fiery emoticon.

The actress is nominated alongside Angela Bassett for 9-1-1, Luciane Buchanan for The Night Agent, Queen Latifah for The Equaliser, Zoe Saldana for Special Ops Lioness, and Maria Sten for The Reacher. The winners will be announced on April 5.

Back in May 2023, Prime Video renewed the series for a second season with Joe Russo set to direct every episode and executive producer David Weil returning as showrunner. The spy thriller—starring Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and featuring Lesley Manville and Stanley Tucci—premiered on May 26 of last year.

The official synopsis of Citadel season 1 reads, "Eight years ago, Citadel fell. The independent global spy agency—tasked to uphold the safety and security of all people—was destroyed by operatives of Manticore, a powerful syndicate manipulating the world from the shadows. With Citadel’s fall, elite agents Mason Kane (Richard Madden) and Nadia Sinh (Priyanka Chopra Jonas) had their memories wiped as they narrowly escaped with their lives. They’ve remained hidden ever since, building new lives under new identities, unaware of their pasts. Until one night, when Mason is tracked down by his former Citadel colleague, Bernard Orlick (Stanley Tucci), who desperately needs his help to prevent Manticore from establishing a new world order. Alia Bhatt on supporting Richie Mehta’s Poacher as an executive producer: “It really leaves an impact”

Poacher has been filmed in real-life settings in Kerala and New Delhi and unfolds primarily in Malayalam, Hindi and English.

Earlier this month, Prime Video announced that actor Alia Bhatt turned Executive Producer for its upcoming Amazon original series Poacher, produced by QC Entertainment. An investigative crime series based on true events; Poacher unearths the largest ivory poaching ring in Indian history. Emmy-award-winning filmmaker Richie Mehta has created, written, and directed the series, which boasts a diverse and talented cast comprising Nimisha Sajayan, Roshan Mathew, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya in pivotal roles. The trailer was launched on Thursday, February 15, 2024.

Alia Bhatt revealed that she met Richie Mehta in 2020 and discussed several topics. She had watched two episodes of the series and was really intrigued. “It really leaves an impact... Supporting a story like this, for us, as an audience is very important but I really thank Richie for putting this together... I think there is a lot of genuineness in it. There is a lot of heart in it and it comes across when you see the show,” Bhatt said at the trailer launch on Thursday.

“It was basically officers breaking down the door and finding this ivory in a flat and I was shocked. I couldn't believe in what I was seeing. I contacted the Wildlife Trust and asked, 'What is this?' They said, 'We did the biggest ivory raid in the history of India on your shoot day'." Mehta said he couldn't use the footage in the documentary but promised to do a project on that. He started researching and got to know about wildlife crime fighters. I did not think that job title existed. I was so enamoured by these people. Result of that is this series," Richie Mehta added.

Alia Bhatt added, “Being a part of this project is such a source of pride for me and our entire team at Eternal. Poacher is a clarion call to address the grave and heart-breaking issue of animal poaching and illegal wildlife trade. I hope that Richie’s powerful storytelling compels everyone to champion the urgent need for wildlife preservation and encourages us to embrace co-existence with all living beings. I am so happy to have found partners in QC Entertainment and Prime Video to bring this narrative to the world.”

The trailer provides a glimpse into the heartbreaking reality of the merciless and incessant killing of elephants. It follows a diverse group of wildlife custodians comprising forest crime fighters, police personnel, and good Samaritans, in their relentless quest to expose the largest ivory poaching ring in Indian history. But will the silent victims of these criminal acts – the helpless elephants – receive the justice they truly deserve? This question resonates deeply within the core of this thought-provoking crime series. Based on true events, Poacher skillfully sheds light on the consequences of human actions driven by personal gain and greed, thereby emphasizing the potential risks and endangering these species.

Poacher, which unfolds primarily in Malayalam, Hindi and English, is set to premiere on Prime Video on February 23 in multiple languages.
