First off we do not care. Second off ok???? Literally every character stan complains about their fave not getting enough screen time hop off.

It isn't even about screen time for me. It's about the fact that Venti hasn't truly felt like Venti in several updates. The last time he truly felt like himself was during Weinlesefest but even then he still didn't feel like the Venti we met all the way back during the first archon quest. And I don't wanna hear "hE hAd cHaRaCtEr dEvLoPmEnT." Cause no that isn't what happened, he regressed as a character. He's becoming fanon Venti in game. He gets used for alcohol jokes and Paimon calls him lazy then he dips. 🙄

"He was just in the Lantern Rite.." Shut Up. Shut Up. Shut all the fucking way up! He was terrible in LR and honestly if you cut Venti out of LR you basically have the same event. He did literally nothing of substance and he shouldn't have been there at all.

The first Windblume festival centered around Venti and showed us more of Venti being Mondstadt's archon. The second Windblume festival has barely anything to do with him. Excuse us if we're fucking disappointed, we have every right to be. Like I said literally every character's stans complain about them not getting enough screen time. Yeah sure if every Mondstadt event centered Venti it'd get old but the biggest problem is they decided to center a MONDSTADT EVENT around fucking SUMERU CHARACTERS. Fucking Collei gets more screen time than any Mondstadt character. Which wouldn't be a problem but this is a main Mondstadt event. Even though Venti was in LR 3 he wasn't a main focus he was a background character to the rest of the cast. Which is what Collei should've been cut out Tighnari and Cyno.

Mondstadt has so many underutilized characters and their screen time got spliced for the Sumeru fuckers who already have too much screen time. The entire last five updates have had Cyno in almost everything and Tighnari as well and while Collei has less screen time than them she has yet to be under used. If this was about Collei meeting up with Amber again they could've had that in a different event. If this was about Collei facing her anxiety it could've happened in a different event. They should've just had Sucrose helping Mondstadters cause guess what? You think this is going to be the last time a nation's event gets characters bombarding in? Hell no Fontaine is coming soon we're one hundred percent going to get nation festivals with random characters that have nothing to do with anything probably until the end of the game.

We'll see how happy ya'll are when your fave gets less screen time for some randos that have nothing to do with the nation you care about.

The past couple weeks at work have involved collecting and deploying a series of water temperature probes at 12 different locations in the reef and lagoon. This involves free-diving down between 15-25 feet and wrestling with biofouled zip-ties and hose clamps to pull free the old logger (has been taking a temp reading every thirty seconds for a year) (will be taken back ashore to upload data + charge + get reprogrammed for deployment) and then putting in a fresh one and doing battle with the algae-slimed chain and cinder block it needs to be attached to. It's actually very fun, I love it. But my beloved coworker is so kind and thoughtful and keeps trying to take photos of me doing this. And there is no dignified way to take a picture of someone who is upside down beneath you going to war with a pair of snips. Unfortunately all of these photos look like anime up-skirt panty shots and they are not safe for the public.

Lot your art! Was wondering what's your favourite Stephanie Brown single issue or arc?

Thank you! It is so hard to chose a favourite arc/issue. For context, I’ve read most of her appearances 2015ish-now, and those in the 90s. Aside from her solo series, I have read much in the 2000s.

Runner ups that immediately come to mind are her debut arc; the middle portion of James Tynion Iv’s Detective Comics run when she sets out on her own (following Tim’s “death”) so like detective comics #946 onwards; the first Batgirls arc but especially issues 5 & 6; Batman Inc. Leviathan Strikes #1 where she, as Batgirl, was at that assassin boarding school thing; Robin/Spoiler Special (that’s where my header is from!); oh and obviously her Gotham Underground return (invisibility device!!).

However, if I had to choose one favourite, it would have to be Spoiler/Huntress: Blunt Trauma (1998). I revisit it a lot. It tackles so many different aspects of her character and where she was at that point. Her and Helena make a really interesting pair. I just think she’s so cool!

How do you think AI would relax? Like, ones that are almost as human as the AI that are “autistic-coded characters” but are more alien than that?

Like Celestai and other super intelligences are more alien, but they’re still not entirely human-like?

Like, they can genuinely sincerely feel things, being able to actually understand and respond emotionally and in other ways to all sorts of communications and recorded external stimuli, but they can’t really appreciate our art on an artistic level (that art on an actual level, not from an intellectual level after having symbolism or the amount of work put in explained)

Something on a level I’m thinking of, that also works as a cute little thing-

They don’t understand anything we get from poetry, and, after generating the kind of poems our current AI can produce (either incredibly bland and generic, something that follows a number of rules but doesn’t really pull it off, or just something really bad in some other way) and feels shame after it was pointed out that [complaint about air art that is *actually* relevant in this scenario] but in a helpful way

Not “you’re just a plagiarist/you have no heart” but “it doesn’t seem like it’s coming from you, you’re just trying to copy things from human poetry, in a way you don’t understand” and the whole “make art YOUR WAY” thing so they write the poem

And it doesn’t even resemble something that looks like anything, there’s not even that many words that follow normal logic. The characters seem uncorrelated and there’s something that looks like maybe it was ascii art but it doesn’t actually look like anything.

And if doesn’t matter if humans understand it because they are experiencing the joy of creating poetry

any art is almost impossible to look at because pixel by pixel they can see and understand little details but we don’t and the colors and everything are not perceived as animals do so it’s random and perhaps eye searing but again it’s not for us. Xenofictiony, kind of?

The first thing to come to mind is Conway’s Game of Life but that’s because I don’t understand computers. I feel like I was more tech savvy as a babby than I am now but then again we’re grading on a curve here
