Not very punk?

A little drabble I wrote while procrastinating doing work for school. Its not super detailed and I accidentally made Sal a little more stoic than intended.

The first time that you met Sal was definitely not the greatest look for you. In fact to this day you sometimes get small bursts of cringe attacks thinking about it. Of course you believed that you can only make a moment embarrassing if you make it. But considering how much you hold him so dear to your heart today. Maybe meeting him and remembering all that embarrassment shows how impactful it was to have met him.

"You know for a guy that has blue hair, you're not really that punk"

Every few days you head towards the Addison apartment to visit the resident stoner of the small town of nockfell. You like to claim that you were not someone that frequently gets high. though wouldn't that be a little bit of a fib to the guy that's standing a few feet away.

"Im Sal, my dad and I actually just moved upstairs."

Another person that is going to be a subject to the freakshow of this building. Don't get that thought wrong though, you lived down the road with your parents. Like everywhere else on the planet there are always characters of people you see everyday but something about this complex just has such loud personalities whether it's intended or not. You would've been living amongst the apartment if it weren't for their parents having extremely weird auras of the place. Though it would be hypocritical to trash on it since you're spending half your time there.

“Man, that's a really cool mask! Ignore them. They're actually crazy” Larry got up from his bed to head towards the new guy.

“Larry literally shut your face before I kick you. I can also bet that the mask is a prosthetic.” So actually you are the only one that is high right now. Usually it's you both that get high all the time but as of the past few days Larry has been so freaked out that getting high would just bring one that's super freaked out. So here you were, in a ball.

“They’re actually right about that one” sal speaks out adjusting the straps around his head. For a little guy he does have quite a deep voice.

“See that is really badass!” If anyone saw you or to be more specific if any of your parents saw you then it would be so embarrassing and maybe the usual nerve being around a new person has been washed away. 

“They seem cool…you know that's a lot of big talk for someone that can barely keep their head up” the new guy speaks again. Mainly pointed to Larry because the target of that comment was already out like a light.

“Trust they're honestly very chill. I just don't think that they're even on the same planet as us” the host of the room started while heading towards his speakers. “What's your place in music? Let me show this band that i'm loving right now” 

“You sure that they won't wake up?” Sal asked while approaching the speakers as well. He had no idea but seeing the small bursts of spunk that you maintained while conscious was very alluring. That's not even mentioning the way that they knew what the prosthetic was.

“I have no idea but their loss, with my mom gone it's my rules in my room”

"Oh my gosh sally stop bringing that up" You're covering your face. It's in the middle of the day at school. Actually you and Sal were in the middle of bio class. Having been checked out of the lesson for such a long time now. "i promise i've never been that high before in my life and never will be again"

The thing about the first time you met him you were beyond greened out. Actually when you thought he left to search for whatever it was at the time you ran to the bathroom to throw up. Spoiler alert! He was still in the room.

"Im sorry im just trying to make punkness be stronger" He responds holding his heart. The sass of this kid is going to put you in a coma.

In all honesty you didn't know how you got so close to the over dramatic boy in front of you. Larry and Sal got closer before you both started hanging out one on one. Half of the first few months of meeting him the only times that you both interacted was in Larry’s basement. It's not like you avoided him but it's not like you didnt after embarrassing yourself so badly.

“You two in the back! Stop talking and pay attention” 

“Sally, count your days because the minute we are out of this classroom I'm putting you six feet under” You giggled out trying to be quiet. The teacher really only made it all more funny. Beside you sal was holding his mouth scrunched over in the textbook. You reflected looking at him, being in his presence really boosted all good emotions. The connection that you both got from each other has been such a 180 change. Not saying life was terrible before him but a large spark was given to you being together. 

“Ok (Y/N) five second head start and you're dead” 

You leaned back with the biggest smirk on your face. A minute from the bell and you're already stuffing all your things into your bag. Counting yourself lucky that the door is right beside you in the back of the class. 

*RiNG * *RING* *RING*

Before the second ring you're already halfway down the hall. Literally no agility was in your body unless it meant that you can beat any of your closest friends. Take the time you were hanging out with Ash. Putting a bet on whoever got to your house first would mean that the one that got there gets to ride your new motorcycle. The school isn't far and you did win but you could have been mistaken for an asthmatic by the time you got to your house. 

Running into Larry by the lockers you hid around him to make the escape. 

“Who are you getting away from no-” a flash of blue hair came zooming towards you both. If it weren't for the tall resident of the addison basement you wouldn't have gotten away. Pushing Larry to Sal before making it to the courtyards. You'd have to apologize to him when you win. For now it's all for one out here. 

The courtyard was very quiet. It being lunch didn't change the fact that no one was coming here. Though you wouldn't expect that much of a difference with the teachers lounge nearby. Luckily since no one comes here maybe it was time to text him your success. Pulling out your phone to say he didn't catch you within the first few minutes of the bell. 

A second later you're being put into a chokehold. 

“I win”

Sally stands behind you still interlocked. Damn that was kinda- No. Nope that's so wack. Crazy thoughts are reserved for crazy people. Inseconds though you lose your balance and completely fall on the ground. Him landing on top of you

“Woah sal take me on a date first” you said groaning in a choked out laugh. Eyes still not opened from the impact. 

“Wait! Don't open your eyes just yet” he sounded panicked so you followed going back to being relaxed laying down. The sound of buckles and straps being pulled explained the panic. It's been almost a two years since he moved in and to this day it has still been a touchier topic. It's no rush at all to see him though. Sometimes you long for moments to look at his face for long periods of time. Of course at sleepover you would maybe get a small glimpse in the middle of the night but light or lack thereof were basically the cockblock of the century. That being said, if he's not ready then no way in hell would you ask.

“Sorry, I'm good now,” he spoke out. You opened your eyes to see he moved himself a few feet away.

“Sal, you have no reason to apologize! did you do anything wrong? i dont think so” you reaffirm 

He sighs but looks at you with the same look that only you've been bestowed. Both teenagers sit in silence for a bit. You had shifted to sit closer to him to look up at the sky. 

“You know I care about you a lot… you've made this place so much more fun. Feel free to always feel comfortable around me and i'll bother you the same amount.” Talking to Sally like this comes from pure truth. You love him a lot. It could just be platonic or you're just telling yourself that. 

Getting up you grab his hand and start pulling him to the cafeteria. instead of letting go he interlocked your hands a bit tighter than the average person. Though it gave you a bit of happiness. He might not be the best with words sometimes but you appreciated that hand squeeze.  

“Come on! We need to make sure Todd isn't boring everyone to death.”

After yet another ghost hunting sesions around the town it was pretty fair to say that the group was entirely pooped. So this brings us to the garage band party? More like a treehouse makeshift acoustic party. The tree was way too far from any extension cord to work so now we work with what we got. It is crazy to think that you've all been fending and mystery solving for nearly four years. In that time it was almost a joke to be called the mystery gang with a bit more emo flavor. During those four years, the relationship between you and Sal seemed to only grow more tense by the second. That's not in a bad way though.

“Hey , Sal and I are going to be getting some munch!” Larry says half way down the tree already. 

“YOOO WAIT, get some barbeque chips! You literally have to or else you're making the children starve!” Ash exclaimed, putting away the guitar.

Sal starts getting up from right beside you. The treehouse was not huge so most of us were sharing seats. You both were rocking in the bean bag. Somehow you both made it work even if it was definitely made for toddlers only. The position that was there was incredibly comfortable until Larry was continuously shouting from the ground.

“I'll see you in a bit” sal says before pushing your head slightly. Looking over to him while he walked out practically put you in a trance. 

Glancing over to Todd and Ash at the other corner of the room you can see them practically frothing at the mouth. The second Sal got out of sight they both pounced onto you. 

“Y/n, you're actually killing us over here” todd reclaimed. “Its been the longest fucking four years of my life watching you both eye fuck eachother.”

Wow, that is the most out of character thing that you've heard him say ever in your life. But like it was such a call out on your name.

“Dude that is so out of pocket” you're grinning while speaking out. “You need to stop hanging around Larry he's ruining your good guy persona”

“Stop it! You're trying to deflect that conversation! You and Sally are actually making us all lose our minds! When are you guys going to get together? ” Ash says. Looking at this intervention with Ash and Todd was almost comical to look at. Both of them really are not fighting the girl and gay best friend stereotype. 

“In my defense, I'd like to know if you ever cornered Sal like you are with me!” In front of them you look like you're taking this as a joke but on the inside you've been shitting yourself trying to think of a way out of this. In actuality you've had such a massive crush on him for so long. 

“Unlike popular belief we have eyes, so of course we've cornered him.” Todd rebutted. 

“Well damn, Uhh im not sure if there is anything that I can say… say what did he say about me?” In response to that, Todd and Ash really deadpanned so hard it almost stabbed you. 

“Depending on the information you tell us then we can decide what we can tell you” He continued.

“You guys suck– so maybe I like him an extremely small itty bitty bit but that really doesn't matter if he doesn't like me back” If they both couldn't deadpan anymore somehow they managed to do it in this instance. 

Just a moment goes by and you hear shuffling at the bottom of the tree. A hushed voice started exclaiming.

“Sal! You just stepped on my foot you whore” 

So this was a set up? You had no idea that Your friends were suicidal. Turning around you see the romance twins looking really nervous. In a flash all hell broke loose.

“Move! LARRY get out OF THE WAY!” Ash yelled while sprinting to the door of the treehouse.

Cut to you with a bag of ice on your ankle. Sitting in your room with Sally holding your ankle to make sure nothing falls off. Long story short while you were trying to hunt the three devils, you fell down a few of the steps in the ladder. 

“So I heard you like me and itty bitty bit? Didn't know you were talking like a 5 year old now” Sal says.

“Oh come off it, maybe that toddler bean bag gave me a lobotomy while you were out” The feeling of it all being so tense. “But what if I do like you?” it's been so long that it really scared you that there was a chance that you could lose him.

“Then I would tell you to not stop. Maybe… for the past few years I really like you more than a bit”

“You know for a guy with blue hair, You’re really hot and maybe a little badass and maybe a little bit punk”

i’m sleepy…. can i get some uhh… sleepy cozy comfy philip family headcanons? sleeby… CoZee….

gosh, okay, forgive me, father, for this post is a mess of jumbled thoughts, but I did my best to organize them.

The first thing that came to mind was not really family related, but, when Robert and Giselle first started dating, they'd spend hours, and hours just talking about any and everything. They'd sit on the couch for so long, and Giselle would always notice his eyelids starting to droop, and she'd smile, and tell him he should go to sleep, but no !!!! because that means he can't talk to her anymore, and, your honor.... he loves talking to her 😔 Because he was so sleepy, the nights would usually end with them passed out awkwardly on the couch. The most common position, though, was Robert sitting on the floor, his head resting on the cushion, while Giselle was lying down, sprawled out on the couch. His arm would be bent in an awkward way because they had to be holding hands, of course, and he'd always wake up with the worst neck pain ever. But, gosh, it was worth it every time.

With his daughters, ough, they love sleeping on his chest so much, it's their favorite thing ever. Baby Morgan and Sofia would always curl up on him, and fall asleep right away.... hold on, I'm...

On the topic of sleepy, ough, Robert is so, so affectionate when he's sleepy. Like, over time, he became a very affectionate man because of Giselle, but, when he was still coming out of his shell, him initiating stuff like cuddling was rare. The first time he awkwardly bonked Giselle's shoulder with his head, and then wrapped his arms around her, she was like "...??????????? are you okay???" and he was just, "yes? I'm just... hugging you 🙄🥱😴" because, of course, he couldn't admit he wanted to cuddle,,,

and man, oh man, this ask reminded me of a snippet I wrote ages ago, it was shortly after Sofia was born, and Robert was so exhausted because she's just So Loud. When he heard her starting to cry, he quickly took her into the living room, because he didn't want her to wake Giselle, and they cuddled on the couch for a bit. Eventually, Morgan woke up, and sat with them, and that led to her falling asleep on his shoulder. And about an hour later, Giselle woke up and was like ">:0 ?? you're having a cuddle party without me... how rude" and she, of course, immediately joined them.

AND AH, okay, so Robert, he works late fairly often, and Giselle refuses to sleep until he's home. One, because she literally cannot sleep without him, but two, because she needs to know he's made it home safe. Knowing he's out in the world just makes her far too anxious to sleep. This results in her staying awake until he's home, and, despite it being past her bedtime, she would often let Morgan stay up with her. Morgan was rarely able to stay awake the whole time, though, so she'd usually just end up falling asleep curled up in Giselle's arms.

And Robert,,, ough,,, coming home to that makes his heart burst with love. Seeing how safe, and loved Morgan is, and hearing Giselle's tired, "Welcome home", while they're curled up on the couch,,,,,,,,,,,,,, dare I say, he almost cried the first time he saw it??? It's literally all he's ever wanted for Morgan, and now, she has it, and he has it, and OUGH,,,,, !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And (I keep saying 'and', forgive me), this is part of a fic I'm slowly working on for mother's day, but during a bad thunder storm, Morgan goes into their room, and cuddles with Giselle because she's terrified. The next morning, she wakes up to both Morgan and Robert basically on top of her, and she's just !!!!! like, she feels so Happy and Loved !!!!!!!!!!!!! And then Robert wakes up, and realizes they're in a big ol' pile, and he feels so Happy and Loved, and AH..,,,,,,,,,,,,

Gosh do I have a type and they're all Old Men and Tragic Ladies my beloved. Let's go!! 1. Varric Tethras (Dragon Age 2): he shot right through my heart with that crossbow THE LITERAL SECOND he came on screen and I've been cursing Bioware ever since. He is a nonromanceable short king and I have never wanted anyone more thx. 2. Nakmor Drack (Mass Effect Andromeda): the Tempest Crew is so freaking charming, and while I love my jelly fish cat aliens the Angara, my favorite character is absolutely this old cantakerous grandpa Krogan. Whom, much like Wrex, I wish I could romance. (p.s. there is a TEASE of a flirt option and u can imagine how little that helped my case) 3. Spock (literally every Star Trek iteration): He is my Everything. Nemoy, Quinto, and Peck all bring something unique to the character's portrayal. I love him in every universe and I can never get enough of this EMOTIONALLY COMPROMISED NERD.

4. Alicent Hightower (House of the Dragon): one half of my divorced lesbinems and I feel so much for her and the tragedy/complexity of both her character and the heartwrenching slow decay of her r/s with Rhaenyra. I cannot wait for S2. 5. Aerith Gainsborough (Final Fantasy VII): ooooough, beautiful, tragic, kind, funny, cool flower seller of my life. Remake!Aerith particularly stole my heart along with the show. There is this sad, beguiling mystery about her that draws you in, and she is so cheerful in spite of it all. I can't wait for Rebirth but also I am terrified lol. 6. Yennefer of Vengerberg (The Witcher): "How ravishing she is, he thought. Everything about her is ravishing. And menacing. Those colours of hers; that contrast of black and white. Beauty and menace. Her raven-black, natural curls. Her cheekbones, pronounced, emphasising a wrinkle, which her smile – if she deigned to smile – created beside her mouth, wonderfully narrow and pale beneath her lipstick…" I mean. C'mon. That is MY WIFE etc, copy paste rj's exact blurb. Anya Chalotra is the perfect Yen. She is everything and deserves the world and I will glady let her burn it all down and murder me if she wants to. 7. Zero (Final Fantasy XIV): [Endwalker patch spoilers!] who doesn't love an autistic badass goth half-human half-voidsent who has lived as a monster for so long she forgot her own identity and is learning how to be human again and finding her humanity via the power of friendship and delicious food, like. I needed more of her and I miss her already!!!

8. Kim Wexler (Better Call Saul): omg so hard to pick just one from this show (ilu nacho), but Kim Wexler SUCKER PUNCHES U IN THE THROAT with her awesomeness. She is this extremely competent, understated cool, calculating yet caring and earnest character who compliments Jimmy so well and whose nuances her amazing actress Rhea Seehorn manages to convey so masterfully. She is also tragic af, but hello it's Breaking Bad prequel lol. On that note... 9. Kim Kitsuragi (Disco Elysium): DOUBLE KIM WHAMMY!!! They're so alike it's not even funny. I'd say Kim has the stronger moral center between the two, but I love them for many of the same reasons. He is also extremely competent, understated cool, with a side of being totally game for Harry's antics once he warms up to him (my Harry build was 'himbo' so he did a lot of dumb shit but he was nice). 10. Irving Bailiff (Severance): firstable, if you haven't seen Severance yet, please do yourself the favor and don't let me spoil this for u!! Irving Bailiff is an Experience. He is a stickler for the rules and very much a stick in the mud compared to his colleagues, but his true self leaks into this version of himself slowly at first, then in surprising bursts of rebellion that become clear at the end when it is shown that his Outtie/true self is actively trying to bring Lumon down like a TOTAL FUCKING BADASS in the most delightful reveal. Also he has a whirlwind romance with another old man played by Christopher Walken.

Hadestown Thoughts

 - .Hello fellow humans (and intelligent cats) of tumblr! I saw Hadestown on Broadway exactly 12 days ago and I have some thoughts. It was my first Broadway musical in my entire life and it was absolutely the most amazing thing I’ve ever witnessed/heard since... December last year when I saw Wicked on tour. Let’s go song by song to show just how much of a masterpiece this is.

Road to Hell:

 - All of the actors just burst from the entrance door thingies and the wings! wowww. It felt so casual but so awesome

 - T. Oliver Reid was Hermes and he had such a remarkable stage presence, like gosh, that’s good.

 - I was a bit confused about the setup because it kind of looked to me like Hermes was a teacher and the chorus and Eurydice (Eva!!!!) were high school students. Maybe it’s just me. But then it all made sense.

 - Hermes stops at every member of the chorus, doing handshakes, fistbumps, etc., and then he stops at Eurydice and puts his hand on her shoulder, and lingers for a moment, as if he’s regretful for the story having to happen yet again

 - then he faces the audience, does that little lapel thing, unbuttons his suit (really shiny and i want it), puts his hands on his hips, and goes “alright!” to the chorus and then to the audience who repeats it back. Instantly drew us in, the fourth wall has officially been obliterated. I know Andre de Shields did an “aight” as opposed to “alright”, but it still had the same effect

 - T. Oliver Reid’s mustache.

 - the trombone player is a gift to this world

 - It’s a sad song -- in the jumpiest tune ever

  - this is really random but I really liked the yellow dress that the violin player was wearing

 - when Hermes calls Orpheus and he misses his cue because he’s so focused on that red shmata and then he gives that cute little wave

 - when Reeve and Eva pause in front of one another and Orpheus just has plain heart eyes

Any Way the Wind Blows

 - the fates! the harmonies! my god. They were fantastic! Soara-Joye Ross was Atropos, and she had such a beautiful low voice. Jessie Shelton played Laechesis (hope i’m not totally butchering the spelling) and she had such an interesting mixture of joy and haunting. She had this huge taunting smile, and she seemed to love it whenever she could manipulate people. Literally amazing. Kay Trinidad (nothing like the OBC) was Clotho, and I feel like she brought the group together. She was mystical and creepy. And also seemingly very cold. 

 - Eva Noblezada is a blessing unto this earth. I mean it. And her voice! Ahhhh! From the literal heavens. 

 - I don’t know why this part always sticks out to me and some people might not notice it, but there are 3 notes in the word “blows”, and when Eva sings it they all flow together seamlessly, like pouring water into a glass. She could be a disney princess and outshine all of them. She can do amazing belts and also go very low and high. She can do anything. In case you couldn’t tell, I’m just a little bit in love with her. 

 - also if you look really close, on the candle that Eurydice lights there are flower designs -- my inner English teacher says good symbolism and also foreshadowing

 - also, (wow i say that a lot) the acting in this (and the rest of the show) is incredible. I’ve seen a bunch of musicals in person before this (never on Broadway though), and while, granted, the acting is good, they act the relationships well, it’s very clearly acting. I don’t know what makes this so different but here it feels real, not fake. Maybe because Reeve and Eva are actually dating lol.

Come Home With Me

 - Orpheus is a sweetheart. I’m also a little bit in love with him too. You know that a musical is good when you’re in love with both of the leads.

 - I didn’t think I’d like him originally, but (like Eurydice) I fell in love in spite of myself

 - Orpheus is adorable

 - You can sense Hermes’ admiration of him, even if Orpheus is always like this

 - when the chorus starts singing behind Orpheus. Someone said this in another review, and it’s very true: (i’m paraphrasing) It’s cool to see the balance of how awkward Orpheus is alongside how he commands attention with every note he sings

 - also another thing -- in ancient greek epics, it was common for a chorus to sing behind the hero so I liked that symbolism

 - That little scooch across the table Eva does when she’s like “oh, he’s craaazy”

  Wedding Song

   - I love the balance between Eurydice’s teasing and Orpheus’ earnestness and naivete 

 - Have I mentioned how adorable Orpheus is?

 - when Eurydice is like “you wanna take me home?” and pulls down her coat to show her shoulder. tee hee. and orpheus totally misses the innuendo and is like Yes!

 - He’s such a sweetie

- Reeve’s falsetto! I swear everyone in the cast has a voice straight from the heavens.

- La la la la la la la...

- When the chorus moves the tables for Orpheus to walk on in his ethereal state as Eurydice just looks on in awe

- I’ve watched a bunch of slime tutorials by now (only 12 days wow), and I know that the flower comes out of his hand, but I have to admit that when I was watching it I must have not been paying good enough attention because at first there was nothing in his hand, and then I blinked and there was

- that flower is beautiful by the way. I was recently visiting my grandparents and my Zaidy (grandfather) has a beautiful garden. I asked him if next year he could plant carnations but he wrinkled his nose and said that carnations were tacky flowers that don’t have a smell and that if you gave them to somebody it would be like an insult. But my mother likes them so I’ll get them for her. They will always be beautiful to me.

 - And then at the end Eurydice’s face when she looks at him like, “Maybe he is everything he’s all cracked up to be. And even if he’s not, it’s kinda cute.”

Epic I

 - I don’t have a lot of notes on this one except Reeve’s gift-from-god voice

 - and also the sweet Orpheus/Hermes father/son relationship

 - another difference i noticed from the soundtrack and seeing it live is that a lot of the words blend together when he’s singing in falsetto. Like when he says “And he fell in love with a beautiful lady” It sounds kind of like “beautifalady” but I actually prefer that because to me it sounds more raw, like it’s coming entirely out of him and not a songbook

Livin’ It Up On Top

 - Jewelle Blackman as Persephone is a force to be reckoned with. I’m not going to compare versions as to which one is better but I will say that the way Amber Gray and Jewelle play Persephone differ greatly

 - Jewelle used to play Atropos, so you know she has a MUCH deeper voice than Amber’s, but she does the same gritty things with her voice during certain lines like Amber. 

 - Eurydice’s reluctance to dance and then her getting right in the middle of it

  - Persephone instantly clinging to Eurydice and giving her some alcohol from her flask, and then Eurydice’s surprised gasp lol

 - The way Persephone lovingly touches Orpheus every time he passes her

 - The way Eurydice looked at Orpheus when he gave her and Persephone cups, like “Oh, he’s so thoughtful...”

All I’ve Ever Known

 - The mother of all love songs except perhaps As Long As You’re Mine. Actually no. This one is better

 - The way they hold one another! Ahhhh my heart

 - Like they simply can’t stay apart from one another, they live for the other

 - that violin solo and the love ballet

Way Down Hadestown

 - I knew this song was in the musical before I saw it because it’s in all the ads but I had no idea of the context

 - How Orpheus and Eurydice are lying on the ground and holding one another for half the song and then the other half just hugging and making out because they’re totally oblivious to the change

 - Basically singing that everything’s going wrong to the tune of sesame street

 - the umbrella

 - Jewelle’s forced smile when she says “you’re early”

 - When Hades says “I missed ya” in his crazily low voice. It’s even lower now, probably because Patrick Page has aged. hehehe that rhymed

 - When Eurydice says “Kinda makes you wonder how it feels” and then Hades lowers his shades and turns to her, and then Orpheus literally jumps in front of her

skipping a gathering storm because it’s like three seconds long and it’s usually always the same except Eurydice sounds more understanding and trusting in this than she does in the soundtrack and slime tutorials

Epic II

 - when I tell you how much this song broke my heart

 - And Orpheus’ empathy my gosh. How he’s able to empathize with Hades who is so different from him. It sounds like he’s the only one who truly understands how Hades is feeling

 - La la la la la la la

 - la la la la la la la

 - that’s it

Chant

 - by far the best song in the musical

 - highlights every single perspective:

  Persephone -- in shock of how much has changed in the underworld and how unnatural all this manufactured light and heat is so she’s trying to numb herself from it with wine, she cannot believe that this is what has become of the man she once fell in love with “I don’t know you anymore”

Hades -- the fact that he’s doing this all out of love for Persephone, to mimic the sunlight on earth so that she’ll want to stay, but he’s so blinded that he’s allowing himself to go down a very dark and dare I say evil (but somewhat i don’t want to say understandable but like you see why) path and he’s sort of jealous of her devotion to the people on earth

Orpheus -- trying desperately to finish the song, all he wants is to protect Eurydice with it, all he wants is for her to be safe and have everything he promised her because he feels she deserves it so much that he himself has also blinded into oblivion and can’t get the focus off the song. What he doesn’t realize is that they need food and shelter and fire now, but he’s just so swept up. Was that wrong? Yes, but he’s not to blame though he will blame himself. If I hear any hate for Orpheus I have an orange belt in Tai Shin Do -- that’s all I’m saying

Eurydice -- Orpheus showed her the way the world could be and she’s trying in spite of her gut to see that, to trust that Orpheus is going to “shelter us”, but she knows how the world is. She’s more cynical, but also more reasonable, and Orpheus isn’t helping to provide because he’s so stuck on his song which leaves her as the main provider until his song is done. She’s losing everything, and as the wind grows, her hope lessens and she becomes more desperate, and as everyone knows, desperate times call for desperate measures...

Hermes -- trying to get Orpheus out of his head, perhaps I can change the direction of the story, maybe it can go right this time, but I feel like by the time Orpheus has the a-ha moment and says “The gods have forgotten the song of their love”, and Hermes turns away, he knows that Orpheus has lost himself completely and there’s nothing he can do

The Fates -- acting as the doubt in Eurydice’s head and the wind, taking away everything she and Orpheus has, and you feel awful as they pull off Eurydice’s coat

The Workers -- Their chant is so ominous “Keep your head low” and that fact that the reason they are working is because of how much Hades has been changed because of his blindness and jealousy because of his love for Persephone

 - I just love that all the parts blend together. Visually, it’s a masterpiece, with all the turntables being used and the thingy that brings people up and down in the middle

 - eva’s pure desperation

 - the way it seems like orpheus is really trying to get the sound right, he’s repeating himself and scrunching up his face desperately

Hey, Little Songbird

 - Oh man, Patrick Page’s voice is like a massage on your brain

 - But it is so, so creepy

 - as is the song which is kinda the point

 - It makes it look like he’s trying to seduce Eurydice

 - You really get a sense of Eva’s range in this song. In four lines, she basically uses all of it, and I feel like that’s sort of the symbolism for Eurydice giving everything she has if you think about it but that could just be me.

 - Like the low part in “Wasn’t it gonna be the two of us?” and then the high “weren’t” in “Weren’t we birds of a feather”

 - I love all the bird analogies in it, like of course with the songbird thing, but then “I wanna fly down and feed at his hand, I want a nice soft place to land”

 - The pure grief and desperation (i use this word a lot) in her voice

 - “songbird vs. rattlesnake” kinda interesting when you think about it that the reason Eurydice went down to the Underworld in the original myth was because she was bitten by a snake on her wedding day and now she’s being lured down by a metaphorical “snake”, Hades

- “see how the vipers and vultures surround you” - this song is very reminiscent to me of Eicha (איכה) where it basically uses metaphors like this to describe the exile of the Jewish people

 - Hades is also doing this as a kind of petty way to get back at Persephone

 - God, Hades is so creepy

When The Chips Are Down

 - there is so much I love about this song

 - the vocals! Ahhhh! they were perfect! PERFECT and so spicy!

 - the taunting, ooh. You never know whether or not to love or hate the Fates in this, but it still stands that they have the best harmonies in the show

 - When they say “You got a knife in the back”, and then Eurydice acts like she’s literally been stabbed in the back. You can actually see the pain and tears on her face and feel it in your chest. Or, at least I could.

 - “you can have your principles when you’ve got a belly full” -- there was an interview with the cast where reeve was saying something like “The point of the show is not that people say, oh that’s what she would do, that’s what they would do in hadestown, but can you honestly say that you would?” Someone said this somewhere, can’t remember, but if the choice is between x and survival, it’s not really a choice. What they’re really saying in this song and actually throughout the entire show is they’re using the characters as a vessel to challenge you, would you really have been able to do it any differently, honestly? Can you say that you’d be better?

 Gone, I’m Gone

  - not many notes, just the single tear that fell onto the stage. Like gosh. That’s not acting, that’s real

 - Hermes wears glasses

Wait For Me

 - I knew this song from the ads but, like Way Down Hadestown, I didn’t know the context. 

 - Visually a work of art

 - the swinging lanterns! Oh my gosh. 

 - Hermes gets very stern in this. It’s almost like he’s mocking Orpheus a little bit, idrk what to think. Because like after he does that, he’s immediately helping him. 

- i wonder what it tastes like to have your mouth stuffed with cotton

  - orpheus’ desperate “noooo” when hermes is like, “But I guess you weren’t listening”

 - The flower and how lovingly and desperately (there I go again with desperate but it seems like the main word of the musical) orpheus holds it out, like that’s his piece of Eurydice and he needs to be back together with her, he can’t bear to be without her

 - The fates starting to also be a part of Orpheus’ story, acting as his doubt “who are you? where do you think you’re going? who are you to think that you can walk a road that no one’s ever walked before” and he’s like screw you, anything for my love

 - the lights start swelling as Orpheus sings la la la la la la la

 - when the stage opens up... the whole audience collectively gasped

 - the last verse and everything about it -- “I’m coming!”

 - I was a bit confused why this wasn’t the end of act 1 because it was a showstopper, and I still am a little bit confused, but I think the next song is worth it for the last song of act 1 and i will tell you why.

Why We Build The Wall

 - what I think is so funny is that this song was written in 2006

 - and it’s a kind of political musical. How did anais kind of prophesize Trump?

 - that low voice, holy cow

 - the fact that Hades refers to his workers as his children

 - and the fact that the thing they are building to keep out poverty is the same thing they think that poverty wants

 - But. I want to repeat something that Reeve Carney once said in an interview (he says the most meaningful things): “Oftentimes, physical walls are merely manifestations of emotional walls within oneself” 

Carney: “Walls that we build against intimacy, togetherness, unity, all those things. I mean, there's so many walls you can build that prevent you from feeling something. That's where I think it starts. And our show deals those themes. I mean ... love, fear, hope, trust, doubt." and then Patrick Page: "And the world now is so complex and moving so fast and so scary, that it's not surprising to me that people would want to think, 'Oh, well there's a solution. We will simply build this barrier and will keep all of the good people inside and we'll put all of the bad people on the outside and we'll be safe.' That's what Hades is appealing to.”

I don’t think I can add any more, what they said is so perfectly true. 

Wait one more Patrick quote:

"Any time you have someone who's trying to hold onto power, which is what my character is doing, he's trying at that moment to build up his own sense of himself, his own sense of power, because his relationship is threatened. Political things come from personal things, so he's feeling threatened in his personal life. He goes out and holds a rally in which he gets everyone to chant about building a wall."

 - oh and this is why it’s a good ending - we set the scene for act 2 and Persephone gets to say “Anybody want a drink?” before intermission

end act 1

Our Lady of the Underground

 - Jewelle and the vocals! wowww!!!!

 - there’s a CRACK IN THE WAaaALLLllLlL!

 - I wonder if Hades knew anything about this. Like there’s no way he’d allow his wife to run a speakeasy for his workers

Way Down Hadestown (Reprise)

  - we see Eurydice in her worker’s uniform, but she doesn’t have the head-cover-goggly-thing that the other workers do. 

 - Eurydice doesn’t understand why they’re working -- she introduces herself to the workers and is like what are you doing, we’re free?

 - then the Fates reveal what Hadestown really is -- freedom to spend eternity as basically a slave

 - “your eyes will look like that someday” -- and Eurydice is like i have to go back and then the Fates mock her for already losing her memories of the past

 - the fact that they sang this already but they sing it slower and then Eurydice understands -- no hate to Eurydice of course, but it’s kind of like when you say something slower so a younger person can understand. it’s sort of meant to be played as taunting and condescending

Flowers

 - gut-wrenching

 - my god

 - so so so sad

 - and the one thing she remembers is flowers and the fact that she has a lover. the symbolism!!!!!

Come Home With Me (Reprise)

 - Literally two seconds after Eurydice sings her grief ballad and says come and find me, Orpheus runs through the audience and goes up to the stage and comes and finds her. I was in the mezzanine, so I didn’t see him run through but that must have been a treat for the people in orchestra seats

 - I love the repetition, and of course the “It’s you,” “It’s me,” “Orpheus,” “Eurydice!” and then they rush into an embrace, they have longed to hold each other for so long and now they can’t let go.

 - “You heard me?” 

“...no.”

 - Orpheus thinks he can get her out and is so confused why they can’t just leave

Papers

 - The look of complete betrayal and fear and grief when he says it isn’t true and then Eurydice confirms that she belongs to Hades

 - Orpheus still presses on, and immediately asks to take her home

 - Hades’ laugh. An evil laugh if I ever heard one. But I started laughing too. I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I don’t know why.

 - Persephone’s trying to defend him but to no avail

 - Everybody beats up poor Orpheus! noooo. Also, during the beatup scene, were they like smearing red makeup on his face that we couldn’t see? Because I am pretty certain he has more cuts and bruises after the fight and he doesn’t leave the stage once during that whole encounter

Nothing Changes

 - the fates and their vocals can never be topped

 - they are always taunting everyone. They’re like the murphy’s law voice in your head -- anything that can go wrong will go wrong, why try to fight it

If It’s True

 - I’m pretty sure this is what you call the 11 ‘o clock number. Like No Good Deed in Wicked. Even if it’s not, it has the same effect. 

 - so incredibly inspiring.

 - sweet little orpheus has seen how the world is but still he clings to the hope that things can change and unintentionally starts a strike

 - a song of hope, resistance, and resilience

 - reeve’s voice, ahhh like powerful magic

How Long

 - This is the song I repeat the most because it’s pretty much the only female song I feel comfortable singing with the voice that I have

 - with jewelle how long is very very very low and it sounds amazing

 - It’s so beautiful

 - The metaphors! 

All of his sorrow won’t fit in his chest - figurative

It just burns like a fire in the pit of his chest - simile

And his heart is a bird on a spit in his chest - metaphor

How long, how long, how long

 - I also love the repetition of chest chest chest, bed bed bed, and sky sky sky

 - and how they duet at the end

 - “The sun must go on rising” and the riff on rising is another brain massage

 - shows how they both feel about their relationship and also as a parallel to orpheus and eurydice’s

Chant (Reprise)

 - is almost as good as the first chant and is still amazing

 - I wish they still kept Persephone’s part in it though so she could add to Eurydice’s parallel

 - the worker’s singing

 - you can’t really detect that much of a tune from Hades’ voice live, probably because Patrick Page aged, but still it sounds awesome

 - “I CONDUCT THE ELECTRIC CITY!!!!”

 - Hades is very scary 

Epic III

 - the best of the epics in my opinion

 - you get the whole finished la la la song with all the parts come together, and with reeve’s voice and the entire company singing backup it is vocal gold.

 - talk about killing them with kindness. 

 - like how a poor, young, beaten up boy in love manages to break down the shell of a mighty king simply by empathizing with him. he really did have a gift to give. 

 - and the parallel “It was like you were holding the world when you held her” to “suddenly I’m holding the world in my arms” and just the two love stories coming together

 - when Hermes says, “and brother, you know what they did” the way t. oliver reid says it, it sounds like an innuendo. the audience cracked up.

 - the cello and violin during Hades and Persephone’s dance and Orpheus accompanying them

 - when the flower appears for Hades

Promises

  - orpheus - “now what do i do?”

 - re-affirming their love for one another

 - Orpheus immediately doubting that Eurydice would want to stay with him after he wasn’t able to keep the promises he made in the Wedding Song and All I’ve Ever Known, asking are you sure you want to come back, I wasn’t able to provide for you -- “take me home”

 - Eurydice immediately reassuring him

 - the fact that it’s to the same tune as “say that you’ll hold me forever” in all I’ve ever known

 - Hades and Persephone hugging and dancing the entire time 

Word To the Wise

 - Hades faces a dilemma here -- if I don’t let them go, i’ll be seen as a heartless man and my workers will view him as a martyr for their cause and will continue to fight, and if i do let them go, I’ll never get my workers in line again and will be considered spineless

 - also, orpheus’ song touched him so much that it rebuilt his relationship with Persephone, so of course he feels pity for him and wants to let them go, but how can he do so without letting a revolution happen?

 - fates vocals are of course top notch

 - It’s kind of funny that word to the wise only has that line in it once and that doesn’t really have anything to do with the song

His Kiss, the Riot

  - Hades makes his decision -- he will let them go but make it a journey that he doesn’t believe a even a god could ever face -- it’s a very difficult challenge, but it can still be beat with the right amount of trust

  - interesting tidbit - the tune to “Who lays all the best laid plans” is the same tune that acts as sort of a theme whenever Hades comes in instrumentally.

Wait For Me (Reprise)

 - I really love the line that Hermes says “the dog you really gotta dread, is the one that howls inside your head, it’s him who’s howling drives men mad, and a mind to its undoing”. He is, of course, referring to doubt, and how one can get stuck inside their head. This is fOrEsHaDoWiNggg....

 - Orpheus and Eurydice holding each other for as long as they can until they have to let go.

 - All the workers following Orpheus

 - Persephone and Hades -- “Wait for me?” “I will.” We see their story end on a hopeful note, which I really like.

 - and then everyone sings WAIT FOR ME and my god the emotion

 -  eva’s belt!

Doubt Comes In

 - originally, when the fates start making him question himself, that’s just how it is but now when orpheus sings them out loud it shows he’s giving voice to these thoughts

 - like what if this is a trick. I can’t see or hear or feel the presence of eurydice and the workers? What if Hades took them all back without me knowing, why would he, the king of the underworld, willingly let them go for a poor boys song. we know from greek mythology that the gods are not above tricking mere mortals, they’ve done it plenty of times for this to be a valid doubt. It could also be, why would eurydice even want to follow me? I wasn’t able to provide for her, why would she want me anymore, he blames himself for her going down to hadestown in the first place

 - eurydice’s calls to him sound so beautiful, clear, and reassuring, and really highlight eva’s voice in all the best ways, but can orpheus actually hear her? i don’t know if that’s actually ever specified. 

 - when orpheus says “is this a trap that’s being played on me,” the vocals are so so good, another brain massage

 - and when he says “I used to see the way the world could be, but now the way it is is all i see” he’s lost all hope, his experience has broken him, he can’t be naive or hopeful anymore, he feels so compelled that he must...

 - he looks back and the audible gasp from the audience as the ground beneath eurydice starts sinking once more, and their final words to each other “it’s you” “it’s me. orpheus!” “eurydice...”

 - gut punch. I’m dead, I’m crying, they’re crying, Eurydice is gone and Orpheus is knelt to the ground where she sank.

Road to Hell (Reprise)

  - It’s a sad song. 

 - It’s a sad tale.

 - It’s a tragedy.

 - But we sing it anyway. (gaaaahhh the tears)

 - Cause here’s the thing.

To know how it ends

And still begin to sing it again

As if it might turn out this time

I learned that from a friend of mine

 - I liked how they started it again - Eurydice comes back in and asks for a match. It feels very full circle - which is the point.

 - He could make you see how the world could be

In spite of the way that it is

Can you see it? (the trombone here, beginning, swelling, signifying hope and new beginnings)

Can you hear it? (more trombone -- everybody bless the trombone guy)

Can you feel it! (the way T. Oliver Reid says this -- kind of like Andre, but also with a lot more vigor)

Like a train... Is it coming?

Is it coming this way?

 - and then we see that orpheus has indeed brought spring back -- just as he promised, and the chorus are back on stage in their normal clothes -- not as workers, as people starting once more

 - and persephone comes back. 

 - It’s a love song

 - orpheus and eurydice have the repeat of their bump into one another at the beginning

 - and everything begins once more

  - and we’re gonna sing it

We’re gonna sing it again.

And that’s just the best thing that’s ever happened to me and I can’t get it out of my system and I don’t want to. If you’ve stuck long enough to read this entire thing, bravo. I worked two days on this, so I appreciate it.

Elizabeth and Rodney friendship feels! I love them so much! He treats her with such fondness and respect and she understands him.

*cracks knuckles* my time has come

but first of all, big shout out to @rodneymckays for making me see the amazing friendship that Elizabeth and Rodney have <3

Having closely watched almost all of season 1 due to our podcast I've really gotten into the Elizabeth/Rodney friendship feels <3 and i can even explain how their friendship happened! (not that i have to justify anything but i'll still do it)

After her short visit to the SGC Elizabeth transferred to Antarctica right? To find Atlantis! And who else is down there? You guessed it! Rodney! She probably picked him out herself, having read his file and saw his brilliance and stuff. So I headcanon that they became friends down there. And I think it's so obvious from the first episode! Obviously they were working a lot but i like to think that they sometimes had meals together, plus Elizabeth probably sent Rodney to get some sleep to more than one occasion. My man doesn't know how to take care of himself.

Anyways, somewhere between working 16 hours a day, trying not to freeze to death, rushed meals, and the occasional hour they spent together in the evening they became friends.

I'm not sure if he calls her by her first name right from the start but he does it quite early. Also their little quips back and forth in "Rising"? Like when they are about to dial the gate and Elizabeth is all but bursting with excitement and they have this cute dialogue:

Elizabeth: Seriously, Doctor, calm down. You're embarrassing me.

Rodney (sarcastically): I've never been so excited in my entire life.

IT'S SO CUTE! SHE ALREADY KNOWS THAT HE PLAYS THIS STUFF DOWN AND THAT HE SHOWS EMOTIONS DIFFERENTLY MEANWHILE SHE IS JUST LOSING HIS MIND BUT SHE'S STILL TEASING HIM!

and it just continues like that. They are on first name basis, they protect each other, they care about each other, they notice when the other is worried or didn't sleep, they console each other...

Now that i think about it i'm kinda mad that we didn't get an Elizabeth/Rodney hug. It would have been one of those awkward hugs where Elizabeth is just grateful and happy that he/they are alive/saved and she rushes towards him and hugs him and he stands there not knowing what to do/how to feel for a moment until he returns the hug. But he does return it. And he means it. ARRRGGHHH my heart. i gave myself feels again. WHERE IS MY HUG!

I think Elizabeth has a unique connection to Rodney, partly because they have known each other longer than ther rest of a team but also because they are both civilians, they both value science and knowledge, they are both no big fighters (yet, we know that Elizabeth becomes a badass through Teyla practicing with her). They both worked briefly with/at the SGC before, they have that background in common.

Through that connection Elizabeth has a unique way to get through to Rodney, to snap him out of things, get him back to reality, get him to concentrate of what's really important right now, and i love that for them.

ALSO ANOTHER LITTLE RANDOM DETAIL I REMEMBERED THAT I HAVE TO MENTION HERE

in the episode "The Eye" when Rodney literally jumps in front of a gun to save Elizabeth (internal screaming and sobbing) and he keeps babbling why they can't kill her OR him there is one TINY moment where you can see that Elizabeth has had her hand on his back, literally has his back and it just,,, it sent me! Rodney doesn't like physical contact (think of Ford hugging him in "Hot Zone") and yet... Elizabeth is able to calm him down that way and HE ALLOWS IT! HE EVEN INITIATES PHYSICAL CONTACT LATER IN THAT EPISODE WHERE HE IS (futilely) TRYING TO KEEP HER WARM

AAAAAH WHAT A GOOD QUESTION THANK YOU JANE 🥺💖💖💖 But to be honest, it's hard to nail down specific favorite voicelines of his when I adore literally EVERYTHING he says 🥺💖🥺💖🥺💖 On my old blog I made quite a few audio posts compiling some of my favorite lines of his with a common theme (like this one here!) but even with those compilations I've made, I can still hardly choose! I love how many of his lines are him making amazing(ly cheesy) puns, I love the fact that he uses quite a few large words (even ones that I didn't know like "ostentatious") to show that he's not as dumb as he seems, I love how he's just genuinely nice and silly to everyone he meets and somehow people are STILL MEAN TO HIM, I love how in Overwatch 2 he tends to sing really often and considering thats something I love doing, I like to think in the year that's passed he picked that trait up because of me 🥺💖 And oh my god his VOICE, his ACCENT. LORD IN HEAVEN 😭💖😭💖😭💖😭💖 I love when his voice dips down a bit when he's getting serious or very rarely talking quietly, I love how high his voice can get, I love his voice cracks and oh my god when he justs SHOUTS EVERYTHING CUZ HE CAN (and he shouts a LOT in his Heroes of the Storm voiceliens pfffff). But ohhh my gosh okay. If I had to pick, just one line as a kinda "favorite" of mine, it would be the line found about 22 seconds into this video, where he says "I've been all around the world, and there's nowhere that compares to home", and like 🥺💖😭💖🥺💖😭💖 FIRST OF ALL the gentle sweeter tone of his voice just makes my heart burst, and second, the concept of "home" is a very important theme in my ship with him, so to hear him say that is definitely some sweet inspiration 🥺💖💖💖

AND OMG AS FOR YOUR OTHER QUESTION <0< 💖💖 You know how much I love crossover type things!! 💖 And oml I guarantee that any interaction between Jamie and Cortex would most likely be very chaotic 😅💖💖 Jamie of course tries to be friendly to everyone he meets, and I guarantee he would try to relate to Cortex cuz of them both being "genius inventors" hsbxbf 💖 But well, Cortex of course being his typical bitch self would probably go on about how superior his creations are, BUT I like to think that maybe he would want to know how Jamie made his gun out of literal trash, in a way where he's fascinated that a scrapheap of a weapon like that is even staying together 😅 Who knows, if Cortex doesn't end up getting too annoyed with Jamie (or even the other way around), then the two might even get up to some mayhem together 😳

Hey Sammy, just wanted to send you this because I have officially finished the MID series after staying up until 4am to absorb every single word of that masterpiece - I have an exam tomorrow and I’m in so much trouble lol because everything I just read is going to be playing over in my head for the LONGEST TIME 😭 gosh you just have the most amazing ability to write such beautiful scenes- my favourites being when Tae comes back home to hear she’s been out in the garden and the way he hurriedly runs out to see her 🥺 that whole period of reader becoming more and more depressed and Tae’s unwavering love and my heart brOke when he caught her trying to leave and it rlly reminded me how much character development he’s undergone and AH - you got me crying a whole ocean let me tell you- I always screenshot parts that I wanna go back and read and my whole camera roll is just FULL of MID now lol I’m so in love with this series- plus where he comforts her panic attack by talking to her about her art - UGDHDHDHD🥺 as an artist myself I was so 🥲🥲 I relate to her character so much I felt so protective over her :’-) - oh and the smut scenes - DONT EVEN GET ME STARTEDDDD - after reading this all day it got to a point where reader and Tae get back after their argument with both of their parents in the study and he goes ‘I need to fk you senseless’ and I was jUST - nope nope I have to go take a cold shower this is too MUCH DJHDJDH BUT IN THE BEST WAY POSSIBLE - you are an absolute God at writing spice scenes and I won’t ever stop saying it 🤚🏻 all of that and then the humour also😭 what can you not do - The both of them fking at Jin’s daughters birthday party had me laughing SO MUCH LMAO, JIN YELLING FROM THE OTHER SIDE I CANT - and their phone call to Jimin with the guys in the car during their jacuzzi shenanigans- Jungkook cracks me up lmao - and the ‘who’s the loudest’ argument with jk at the announcement party along with Jimin and Tae being chased JDBDJDBDBDBD - ugh if only I had the time to analyse every single section because it deserves all that and MORE - you really did it with this one - the ending paragraph describing what love is literally made me tear up, as if I wasn’t crying already - I can’t wait to read your upcoming projects, I read you’re planning on a peaky blinders au and I almost BURST - that’s been my favourite show since it was released and Tae as Tommy???? “oohh! we definitely need some male strippers” smirks jorja and you nearly faint on the floor when she mentions male strippers. jorja is clearly unaware of jungkook’s possessive tendencies and you peek over to see if jungkook is listening to your friends’s crazy ideas for your future bachelorette party. “oh my gosh, yeeesss!!” agrees yerin while you and alina are just a blushing mess.

“honestly, i’m shocked alina is still with your annoying ass” says yoongi as he takes another swig of his whiskey, teasing his younger friend before they bring up his relationship, yes, official relationship with jorja. “she’s hella annoying yet hella cute too. her personality does a complete 180 when we’re alone”

He cannot believe that they thought that she was the one for him, “yn has always been my one and only.” He crosses his arms around his chest after finishing his drink. “and honestly I don’t know why I dated her for that long.”

His exes are quite something, but when he compares Tina to chaeyoung, he finds her a little better- but that doesn’t mean that he was going to ever marry her because his heart simply didn’t want her.

And it’s not like he wants to compare the women have come and gone from his life, but he cannot help it. “Yn is incomparable.” He declares. “Of course I think yns the best one for him, his only one.” Eunwoo pats Jungkook as on his shoulder and SeokJin and Yoongi immediately agree.

Jimin just laughs out loud and admits that he was just teasing his friend, Taehyung offers to bring more drinks from the bar, “ let’s have the bachelorette party, right after yugyeoms wedding!”

so Jungkook takes the opportunity to excuse himself, so he can talk to you for a while because it’s literally your party.

And soon he’s with the ladies.

“Hi ladies?! Please can I have my fiancé back?” He asks, bowing down, alina laughs. “look at you, gentleman..” she remarks and jorja coos, yerin rolls her eyes and whispers something about him in your ear, Jungkook doesn’t care, she can be mean. So soon he holds out his hands so you can hold it and of course you do.

And he is so happy to finally have you all to himself away from people as he brings you to the balcony, the wind is nice, and the view of the night is very clear. The stars are shining in the moon is so big tonight.

So you stand right in front of him he’s leaning towards the balcony, “my Princess… you are so beautiful.” He smiles, “and I just wanted to remind you that you have been always the one for me.” He’s looking at you, eyes full of love, and he doesn’t even feel a little bit tipsy.

So Jungkook quickly intervenes your fingers together, and he pulls you close to him, “ I just wanted to thank you for choosing me… I know I’m not the best man.. but I know that you can make me one, yn…. You deserve so much better than what I can ever give you, but just believe me that no one can love you as much as I do.” he wants to confess everything to you. You are the only one who will hold his heart in her hands forever.

I flutter my eyes open when I feel breathing on my neck. I slowly look down to see my dear peacefully sleeping, head resting in the crook of my neck, hands wrapped around me and our legs tangled. I smile at her form and pouty lips. I kiss the top of her head and hold her tighter. I nuzzle my nose into her hair inhaling her scent. Gosh.. she's so addictive. I feel her stirring awake and I grin. She opens her eyes slowly.

"Morning, dear," I kiss her forehead, "You look as beautiful as ever."

She blushes and mumbles something hiding into my neck. I chuckle, "What did you say?"

"Stop trying to kill me early in the morning," she says into my neck.

I softly caress her hair and I feel her body pressed onto mine. I press my lips onto her head, "How's three months into being immortal?"

"Hmmm?" She thinks with one eye open, "I think it's the same but I don't get tired anymore."

"Does that mean we can go another two round- Ow-" She punches me laughing.

"What?" I laugh along with her.

"No, you cannot go another two rounds," she grins rolling away from me, "Even though I don't get tired, you make me tired and exhausted."

"Admit it," I roll over and hover over her, "No one can make you feel as loved and pleasured as I do."

"I wouldn't know," she replies, "I've never done it with anyone else. What say, I try it with-"

"No!" I drop my body onto hers and hug her.

"Would you love this much if I hadn't died in my last life? If we had met in this lifetime and you were a normal human?" She asks looking at me.

"Of course," I answer quickly, "I think I'll love you as much and more."

"What if you were able to save me in my past life?" She looks aside.

"Why are you asking all these questions, my dear?" I ask being amused by her curiosity, "Is something bothering you?"

"Better?" I chuckle. She is Yunahet. What is she talking about?

"You are Yunahet, dear," I kiss her cheek, "You are literally her reincarnation. Just because you can't remember your past life, doesn't mean that you don't share the same soul," I lift her face with my finger, "I would have given back your memories but I really don't want you to feel the pain of being stabbed by a sword and being torn apart by wolves. I don't want you to feel the pain of my irresponsibility and incompetence in keeping you safe."

"No," she frowns, "It's not your fault, baby. You never knew your father would take such a cruel decision. You would have never known. What makes a difference is that you fought for your love. You fought for me against time and death. I love you, Kim Taehyung. I love you so fvcking much I don't know how to express it."

I was in tears by the time she finished. I blink and a drop of tear falls onto her lip. She smiles softly and licks my tear off her lip. She wraps her arm around my neck lowering my head and slowly kisses my tears away. I giggle and crush her in another hug.

"Ugh- Tae, I can't breathe," she laughs.

"Do you need mouth-to-mouth to be able to breathe?" I joke.

"Yes but this mouth," she places a finger on my lip, "doesn't let me breathe."

I grin and crash my lips onto hers. I grind my hip onto her and she moans into my mouth. 

"Tae, you'll be late for work," she reminds me.

"I don't care," I nuzzle into her neck, "I need you."

"Well," she chuckles, "I am right here. You can have me all you want."

"Are you sure? If you give me so much motivation I might go overboard and you won't be able to walk," I reply with a smirk. She bites her lip and the smell of her arousal hits me right in the face, "Oh," I try to suppress a groan, "You like dirty talk, don't you?"

"I guess so," she licks her lip, "Why don't you confirm it for me?"

"My pleasure, your highness."
