Hello. I love the prompt " the commission " can we have the full story please ? How will the avengers react of the news about Hawkmoth?
The full story will come later I promise! I unleashed so many things onto myself but I have no regrets XD Though I shall share some headcanons with you guys about the AU in the mean time!
* Pepper has been a fan of MDC since she saw the designs for Penny and Jagged’s wedding attire. Her and Penny are friends and when she asked who made Penny’s dress and Jagged’s suit, Penny was all too happy to tell her and brag about Marinette and show her everything else Mari had designed for her and Jagged and others.
* When Tony officially proposed, Pepper already knew who she wanted to make her dress. She could tell Tony was hesitant to ask MDC since she wasn’t that well known yet, but they both knew he couldn’t say no to her, so it was no surprise when she caught him looking at her website and commission prices. Later she pretended not to notice him calling Penny and asking for MDC’s email. Pepper liked to let him believe he could keep anything from her, it was the thought that counted.
* Peter, Harley, MJ, and Ned are all excited for the wedding. Peter gets to be the flower boy which he is super happy about and Harley is the ring bearer.
* MJ is also a fan of MDC
* The whole “Minion” squad are Jagged Stone fans. Peter’s favorite album may or may not be Rock Giant.  👀
*The Minion Squad are all off school for summer already, Marinette just started summer since it’s the beginning days of July. While the Minion Squad plans to help plan the wedding, invent, prank the Avengers, and just have some good summer fun, Marinette plans to work on her MDC commissions since she knew she would be getting a lot. Penny had given her a heads up. Besides, there wasn’t much friends she could hang out with since Luka had told her that him, his sister, and his mom planned to sail around for the summer. Anarka wantedd to get the kids out of Paris for a while. Chloe and Sabrina would be going on vacation with Chloe’s mom to Milan for two weeks and then to New York for a month so Chloe could see her mother’s business and get a feel of it and see if it is something she would want to take over. Kagami and her mother would also be leaving Paris to visit family in Japan. The only ones she would be able to hang out with would be Alix, Nathaniel, and Marc.
* Then she gets the email from Tony. Freaking. Stark! She nearly faints! Okay. She faints. He actually wants Marinette to design and make his and Pepper Potts wedding attire!!! His email said that he would house her and her team for however long she needed for the consulting period and the beginning work of the outfits. Okay actually it said till the outfits were done but she would discuss that with him and Pepper when she got there because wedding dresses typically took 6-9 months to make. She figured she had time as he did specify they were planning a December wedding of next year, something about it being a Christmas present.
* After she talks it over with her parents, she responds to Tony that she would love to design and make his and Pepper’s wedding attire but before the discuss anything further she would like for them to video chat. Tony agrees later that day, which is more than enough time for Marinette to set up at Jagged and Penny’s house, they officially bought a house in Paris yes, along with her mother and father so they could talk everything over with Mr. Stark. When the camera connects, Tony swears he must be rebooting because he did not think that MDC was a 16 year old girl, but he adapts quickly and understands now why she wanted to discuss the arrangement more.
* Tom and Sabine are even more delighted and on board on sending Marinette to New York when Tony offers to let her stay in Stark Tower/Avengers Tower with the heroes and his Minions. Marinette of course asks if she can bring some friends, they’re not officially her team but she would feel better having them there with her. Of course Tony agrees because he could practically hear Pepper scold him if he said no and they continue to set everything up while Marinette calls up Alix, Marc and Nathaniel and ask if they want to go with her to New York to go to the Avengers Tower. It takes too long in her opinion to convince them that no. she’s not joking, and yes she is serious.
* Once they get their parents permission they plan to leave on Saturday which would be in two days. It’s a little hectic, especially because Marinette didn’t know if she should take the Miracle Box or not but in the end she decides to leave it with her mom and dad, aka the new Turtle and Fox heroes of Paris. They had found out she was Ladybug a little after she had become the Guardian because she had broken down. Everything had become too much for her and Tikki couldn’t stand to see her chosen like that so she told Tom and Sabine that their daughter was Ladybug.
* Marinette was going to take the Horse, Mouse, and of course, Ladybug Miraculous, to New York though. Her mom promised that she would text her or call her as soon as she could if they spotted or heard an akuma, and that they would fight it off until she got there.
* When Marinette and her friends get to New York and meet Tony, he can tell they’ve fought in a fight children shouldn’t have to, but he doesn’t know how to ask about it so he pushes it back till he can think of a way to approach the subject. He immediately takes a liking to Marinette, he can tell she’s smart for her age, and he just likes her energy.
* Then Tony introduces them to his Minions and Peter, Ned, and Harley all have a collective freakout because they are meeting THE MDC. MJ is, of course, happy too but she can at least keep her cool when meeting the designer who made Jagged Stone’s iconic Eiffel Tower sunglasses, the one who designed his Rock Giant album art, and the one who made his Roaring Dragon Jacket! Peter asks Marinette if she can sign his copy of the album and Tony thinks it’s all down hill from there. He can see the kid’s blush from across the room.
* The consultation happens and Pepper is just as surprised as Tony was when she learns MDC is only 16 but she hides it fairly well. Both are pleasantly surprised by Marinette’s professionalism and are pleased with the overall talk about what they want out of the design. Tony even manages to squeeze in another suit for Peter because he knows the kid and he is not letting him wear a rented tux to his wedding.
* Tony and Pepper have dinner with the kids and the Minions and it’s decided that they can stay for the summer, and no Pepper don’t look at Tony like that it’s not because he’s trying to help Peter get a date for the wedding.
* Then Marinette meets the Avengers. Thor loves her, but like who doesn’t Thor love? And who doesn’t love Thor? She is super interested in learning about Asgard, especially its fashion and she even talks Thor into giving her some fabric samples to work with. He just loves her enthusiasm and he appreciates her letting him talk about his home and his people. Marc and Nathaniel get a great picture of the two of them sitting on Thor’s flexed arms. Marc also loves to hear about Thor’s home and people and Nathaniel loves to draw him and those he talks about.
Natasha accidentally sneaks up on Marinette, she never means to do it, it is just how she is, so when this little girl turns around in a flash with a pencil held in her fist as a weapon her eyes narrowed looking for the danger, she is suprised and has to stop her own reflexes from sweeping the girls legs from under her. She respects Marinette’s reflexes and the two spar and Marinette tells her she used to do ballet when Natasha asks her why her turns and spins almost seem like she’s doing a dance and Natasha’s eyes light up. The two bond over ballet
Bucky, Clint, and Steve meet her one morning when they go to the kitchen and find so many goodies to eat and see this tiny little girl singing to herself as she pulls muffins out of the oven. She turns to them and smiles and says good morning before introducing herself so they do as well. When Steve introduces himself her eyes narrow and she hisses out, “YOU.” He’s so confused until she starts tearing into him about him hero suit. Bucky and Clint of course love this moment and will cherish it forever.
She meets Bruce and he’s heard of this little terror from Steve and he’s thinking she’s going to tear into Hulk about wearing only shorts but then she’s shaking his hand and saying it’s an honor to meet you Dr. Banner, apparently she’s read some of his papers. And Bruce can’t help but smile for the rest of the day.
When Wanda meets her she just hugs the little girl for a while because she hadn’t meant to see how her ex friends had treated her back in Paris but she did and this child needed a hug. Marinette had just been asking what material her jacket was made out of so they had touched briefly, then she was being hugged, but she didn’t mind, she figured maybe Wanda was having an off day and needed a hug.
Vision had just looked at Marinette and said, “Miraculous.” nobody knew what he meant but Marinette did and she just put a finger to her lips with her eyes wide with panic. Thankfully he got what she was trying to say and gave her a nod and small smile.
Tony said there was more people for her to meet but she would have the whole summer to do that so she was content.
* Then the first akuma alert went off when they were there in New York. Marinette thought everyone was sleeping when she created the portal and leapt through...she didn’t know how wrong she was.

“Why are we even shopping today? Your party’s not for another week.” Harrison let out a groan as he walked into the grocery store with Tom and Harry, the former had been very insistent on getting food for his birthday party a week in advance.
“I procrastinate on everything else, let me do something reasonably on time for once.” Tom stated, pushing the cart and heading straight for the alcohol aisle. “What should we get?”
“It’s your party.” The blond replied with a shrug. He grabbed a large case of beer, claiming, “As long as there’s beer, I’m fine.” “Didn’t you say Shelby likes Whiteclaws?” Harry asked.
“Oh, yeah, she does!” Tom perked up, grabbing a large box full of the hard seltzers.
“You’re catering to Shelby’s needs now? Tom, it’s your party.” Harrison reminded him again. Shelby being the girl who was Tom’s unofficial girlfriend.
“I want to impress her.”
“Haz, calm down. Maybe she’ll bring some of her hot friends for us.” Harry joked, nudging his friend, who looked unimpressed.
“I’m just saying, you should just be official with her already. You’re practically dating her.” Harrison insisted.
“You’re one to talk.” Tom laughed, before mimicking his friend, “‘Just ask her out already. It’s not that hard.’ Wanna remind us how you haven’t asked a girl out in four years?”
“Shove off. I’ll get the chasers.” He walked away without another word, trying to ignore the snickering from the two Holland boys behind them.
Harrison knew it was hypocritical of him to encourage Tom to officially date Shelby when he couldn’t even ask a girl out. It wasn’t like he had trouble talking to girls; no, Harrison was good-looking and he knew it, so he naturally had no problem turning on his charm whenever a pretty girl was around. It was just that when the time came to actually ask a girl out, he couldn’t. He’d freeze and have horrendous flashbacks to his last date four years ago, flashbacks that crept into his mind now as he searched for some good chasers.
“Harrison! You’re going to be late!” His mom called to him from downstairs.
“No, I’m not!” He halted his nervous pacing as he looked at himself in the mirror. He wasn’t wearing anything too special, just a nice blue button-up that brought out his eyes and his best pair of jeans. He kicked himself for letting Tom borrow his nicest pair of casual shoes because the ones he currently wore were just not fitting right. They went well enough with his look, but they squeezed his toes uncomfortably and there were little dirt stains on the side that he just hoped no one could see, especially you. He ran his fingers through his hair, and then again, trying to fix it and make sure it didn’t look too gelled up or too casual. He thought to himself ‘This is a casual thing, calm down’, but his brain was so scattered, he could barely focus on that.
“Mum says you need to leave.” His sister said, opening his door and making him jump.
“How do I look?” He asked with a hopeful smile.
“Wonderful. Now go, you’ve got a date!” She pushed him out of the room. Harrison grabbed his keys and his wallet from the table near his front door, trying to rush out of the house before his mum came into the room, but she was too fast.
“Let me see.” She smiled teasingly at him, and he sighed before turning around so that she could approve of his outfit. Pinching his cheeks, she gushed, “You look so handsome.”
“Thanks. I need to go.” He kissed his mother goodbye quickly.
As Harrison left his house, he heard his mum’s passing comment to his sister, “I’ve never seen him so nervous for a date. I hope she’s the one.”
Since you were getting off work and had your car there already, you’d told Harrison that you could meet him at the fairgrounds, the spot he had chosen for your date. The whole drive over there, he was thinking of different ways to greet you- should he do the cute romantic thing and cover your eyes for a moment, or was that too creepy? His mind rushed over to the wonder about how the night would go- would you two share a cotton candy, would you hold his hand as you two go on a thrill ride, would you need a jacket because it’s cold? Harrison’s heart surged with nervousness; he didn’t even think of bringing a jacket for you and he didn’t even have one for himself. Stopped at a red light, he blindly stretched a hand to the back of the car, in search of one of his spare jackets back there. Feeling a soft cotton material, he quickly pulled on the jacket and brought it up to his lap. He didn’t know how long it’d been his car, but judging by its smell it had definitely been in there a while. So maybe he wouldn’t give you his jacket in hopes that you take it home at the end of the night as an excuse to see him again.
The light turned green and he started to drive again. The thought of the end of the night hadn’t even crossed his mind. Did you expect him to kiss you or was it supposed to be one of those intimate hugs to end the date? His mum was right, he’d never been so nervous for a date, but he couldn’t help it. This was you.
He met you at school years ago. You two didn’t have many classes together, which made Harrison a bit sad because he wanted any opportunity to see you (but he was kind of grateful too because he definitely didn’t do well in the classes that you shared with him). He was completely enraptured by you; it took him months to finally talk to you in class. Then it took a couple more months before he managed to actually say anything more than a simple ‘hi’ to you. Poor Tom had to hear him go on for almost a year about how pretty you were or about something you said during class. Eventually, just in time for graduation when you’d all split ways, he worked up the courage to just get your number. After infrequently texting you for a while (he didn’t want to come off as a creep and text you too often), he finally asked you out a couple days ago. He was still in disbelief that you said yes. You were the girl he’d been fawning over for the past several years, and you had said yes to just going on a date with him. You had almost every guy at the school falling at your feet, you could have accompanied anyone to the carnival and yet you chose him. You made him feel like a giddy school boy, not a nearly 20-year old man.
He had hoped his nerves would’ve calmed down by the time he got to the fairgrounds, but they didn’t; if anything, his heart was beating inhumanly fast and his hands were the clammiest they’d ever been. He managed to get a parking spot near the front gate, right near where the two of you were supposed to meet. He was two minutes early; he had two minutes to calm down and go out there.
“Just be cool.” He mumbled to himself. He looked at himself in his rearview mirror and smiled, “‘Hi, Y/N’. No, that sounds creepy. ‘Hey’- God, no.” He groaned, still unable to settle on the best way to greet you. Seeing something move near the gate, he quickly looked over to see you walking to the gate.
You stood nervously in the shade, trying to hide from the evening sun. You wore a light blue babydoll dress with a dandelion print that made Harrison’s heart soar- you two had inadvertently matched color schemes. On your shoulders rested a dark blue denim jacket, which told Harrison all his worrying about the jacket dilemma was for nothing. He already knew your jacket definitely smelt better than his, and that was reassuring to him. You just looked so beautiful standing there; if you hadn’t told him you were coming from work, he wouldn’t have been able to tell. He watched as you nervously fiddled with the black bag hanging from your shoulder. You got out your phone, and Harrison watched your fingers dance across the screen before his own phone vibrated.
‘Hey, I’m here x’ You had texted him, and his heart seemed to start beating even faster- he didn’t know how he wasn’t having a heart attack. You held your phone with your left hand and put your right hand in your jacket pocket, fidgeting with it anxious. It was a nervous tick of yours that Harrison had picked up on years ago; whenever you were nervous, you’d play with your right pocket and that’s why your right jacket pockets were always disproportionately more damaged than your left.
Any confidence that he had before was gone. He couldn’t bring himself to respond to your text, and he felt frozen in his car. After a few more minutes had gone by, you texted him again and began to walk in small circles. Instead of reading your text, he pulled up Tom’s contact. He hated it, but he needed his best friend, he needed to be talked into going out there. Tom was the only person who saw firsthand how much Harrison admired you over the years, seeing as he was the one to continuously push his friend to talk to you.
“Hey, aren’t you supposed to be on a date?” Tom asked as soon as he picked up the phone. When Harrison didn’t immediately respond, he got concerned, “Mate, tell me Y/N didn’t stand you up.”
“No, no. I just- Tom, I can’t.” Harrison said, his voice breaking.
“What do you mean you can’t? The girl of your dreams agreed to go on a date with you, give her the best date ever.”
“No, I can’t. She’s here, but I- I can’t even get out of my car.”
“Do you not like her anymore?” He asked, unsure of his friend’s predicament. Harrison had been so nervously excited about your date for days, and Tom had to hear all about how much his best friend liked you for years. This was a perfect situation for Harrison, was it not?
“I do. It’s just too real. There’s no way she’d actually date me. She’s too good for me.”
“Harrison! Listen to yourself! You’re incredible, mate, and Y/N knows that. That’s why she agreed to go out with you. Don’t leave her there. Go get her.” Tom insisted.
“O-okay, I will.” He replied before saying goodbye and hanging up his phone. He was about to leave his car when he got a call from you. He wanted to pick it up, he wanted to hear your voice, but he just felt like he was disappointing you. It had been half an hour already. Once the phone call went through and you left a voicemail, he looked up to see you sitting against the trunk of a tree, defeated, and turned away from his car that you still had yet to spot. He felt defeated himself, he was looking forward to this so much and now he was just being cowardly. He hated this feeling. A sudden surge of confidence overcame him and he hopped out of his car, thinking it’s now or never.
You hadn’t seen him yet, and he was mere steps from you. He stopped when he heard you on the phone.
“I don’t think he’s coming.” You sighed. There was a pause as you listened to the other end of the call, still unaware of his presence. “I’m just going to go. It’s been almost a hour, and I haven’t even heard from him. It just feels like a waste of time, he really let me down.”
Harrison felt himself grow heavy at your words. As much as he wanted to take the final few steps to you and to tell you he was there, his body betrayed him and he stood there, motionless and speechless.
“I even wore that blue dress I just bought. I thought he’d like it because it matches his eyes.” You laughed lightly and he felt his heart drop at your words. You were trying to impress him. “I feel so stupid. It’s probably stained now.” You stood up and dusted off your dress. You sniffled a bit and he felt his heart break- he’d made you cry and it was the worst feeling in the world for him. As you took one last look around for him, Harrison ducked behind the large tree trunk to stay out of view. With a final sigh, you left. Harrison threw his head back against the tree. He was so angry with himself, you were all he wanted for years and he finally had him, but now you were gone, probably for good. You were there, and he was there; why couldn’t he just actually be there for you?
“Chasers, chasers, chasers,” He mumbled to himself, walking through the store trying to find where they had hidden the drink section (why it wasn’t right beside the alcohol section, he didn’t know). He paused his search, hearing an all too familiar singing voice come over the store’s radio.
As if the memory of him leaving you like that wasn’t haunting enough for him, you went on to become a successful artist and sometimes he felt like there was no escaping your popular songs. He couldn’t bring himself to listen to them though. Tom said that they were good- after all, he still kind of kept up in contact with you, but Harrison knew it’d only make him feel even more guilty about his actions all those years ago. He hadn’t reached out to you at all since before that fateful and horrendous night. You were special and he always knew that, he just didn’t appreciate you enough when you were there.
Trying his best to ignore the melodic sound of your voice, he continued his journey to finding chasers. He finally found the aisle labeled “beverages” and figured they had to be there. When he turned the corner, his eyes quickly darted to the drink selection in front of him. It was only then that he realized this was a stupid idea; why did Tom put him in charge of chasers? It was still Tom’s party. Just as Harrison was about to say “fuck it” and grab a box of Coke, he realized there was one other person in the aisle to his left. The stranger hadn’t noticed him though and she pushed a loose hair back under her hood before pulling the hood down some more, so her face was a bit more obstructed. Her right hand was shoved into her jacket pocket, fiddling with the cotton material.
Harrison immediately felt a wave of nausea overcome him as his brain processed the stranger as you. It had been four years since he’d stood you up and watched you walk away at the fairgrounds, four whole years since he let his dream girl just walk away, four years since he broke his own heart. He realized he’d been staring too long when you started to look over at him, and before he knew it, he was running out of the aisle and crashing into Harry around the corner.
“Did you get chasers?” Harry asked, confused by his friend’s terrified appearance.
“I- uh, no. I can’t- can’t go down there.” Harrison coughed, scratching his neck nervously.
“Why not?” He looked between Tom and Harrison. Tom’s eyes were just about as wide as Harrison’s; he knew exactly who could be down the aisle to have that sort of effect on his best friend.
“Y/N’s down there?” The older Holland clarified, and the blond nodded, biting his lip.
“Wait, the Y/N?” Harry questioned. He’d heard about the girl that Harrison stood up four years ago, but he’d never actually met her; he’d seen pictures of you, but you were kind of famous now so who hadn’t? Your name had been like a taboo in the Osterfield and Holland households for years now- no one dared to bring you up in front of Harrison, no one except for Tom. Tom was the only person who really knew what happened when it happened. He ended up telling Harry and Sam a few months afterwards, seeing as they were both close with Harrison, but Harrison never told his family. He had told his family that the date went poorly and it was never mentioned again.
“I can’t- I’m- nope.” Harrison was a stuttering mess.
“Look,” Tom started, but his words were cut short as you came around the corner. Harrison quickly dove behind one of the tall bread stands, hoping you hadn’t seen him, but you had and they all knew his hiding spot wasn’t a good one. He mentally cursed at his feet that stood planted in the ground; they wouldn’t let him run away out of this hell of a grocery store.
“Oh, hi, Tom.” You smiled, politely. You had no problem with Tom; after all, he wasn’t the one that stood you up.
“Hey, Y/N.” He leaned over a little, trying to block Harrison from your view. “How have you been?”
“Never better. And you?” You asked, your smile strained as your eyes flickered over to Harrison’s “hidden” figure for a moment. His blue eyes that once captivated you were trained to the ground.
“Been good.” Tom replied, not really sure how long he could keep up the small talk in front of his painstakingly awkward friend.
Harry, on the other hand, wasn’t sure if he wanted to laugh at the abnormally pale Harrison or try to console his poor friend. He’d never seen Harrison be so nervous before; sure, he’d seen the blond be nervous before about something, but never this nervous because of a girl. Now he knew what Tom was talking about when he said Harrison was always a mess when it came to you. To Harry, it almost justified Harrison being so nervous that he stood you up, almost (both Hollands still think it was stupid of Harrison to not just get out of the car and go to you).
“Are you having a party or something?” You asked, looking down at the contents of Tom’s cart that included excessive amounts of alcohol and snacks, both savory and sweet.
“Yeah,” He paused for a moment, glancing over at Harrison before a wide smile broke out on his face, “You should come.”
He held back his grimace as Harrison obviously kicked him, silently questioning what the actual fuck he was thinking. You looked at Tom confused because in all your years of knowing him, you two had been more acquaintances than friends, and also it was a party with Harrison there. You weren’t sure if you wanted to even go, but you couldn’t help yourself from saying, “Yeah, sure.”
“Great, I’ll text you the details.” Tom smiled and you nodded.
“Well I should be going, but it was nice seeing you.” You stepped around him, needing to get to an aisle behind him. Harrison did the best thing he could to hide from you, holding up a loaf of bread and keeping his eyes closed, praying the ‘I can’t see you, you can’t see me’ concept would pay off. “Bye, Harrison.”
With that, you walked away from the three boys and Harrison let out a small sigh, putting the bread back on the shelf. Tom laughed as his friend punched him in the arm.
“What the hell was that for?” Harrison questioned, all nervousness going away, but he still looked around the store in paranoia in case you came back.
“It’s perfect, mate. Y/N will come to the party, you can apologize and talk to her, and hopefully she takes you back.” Tom smiled hopefully. He thought his plan was ingenious, but the stern look on his friend’s face said otherwise.
“That’s a shit plan.” He crossed his arms, “Look at me! I still can’t even look at her. She just- ugh, I’m not going.”
“You’d miss my birthday party because of Y/N?”
“Well,” Harrison sighed, knowing Tom would hate him if he actually didn’t go. Plus, it’s at his house so he would have to have a pretty big excuse not to show up. “Fine, but I’m not talking to her.”
“I didn’t believe Tom about Y/N until now. You’re so whipped.” Harry laughed, earning a smack from the frustrated Harrison.
“It’s been four years, and she still has a hold over you. I wonder if she knows.” Tom teased him.
“Shut up.” Harrison grumbled, “Let’s just get the chasers and leave.”
Harrison had one week, a whole seven days to prepare his apology speech. He paced around his room daily, trying to come up with the right words to say, even though you’d leave him too speechless and stunned anyway. He felt like he was attempting at writing a Shakespearean monologue, he felt desperate. But how do you apologize to someone who wasn’t even yours to begin with? How does he tell you that he’s sorry he left you? And that it was all because you made him too nervous to actually do anything? And it ended up breaking his heart and stalling his love life up until this point because no one can compare to you, the girl he’s basically loved since he was 14? He never really admitted it before then, but he did love you and that’s why it hurt even more to reflect on that regretful night.
He often wondered how different his life would be if he had just gotten out of the car. Or even if he had remembered a clean jacket. He would’ve greeted you with a bright smile at the gate, and you’d be overjoyed to see him; you two would have shared food all night long; he would have loved to see the crinkles by your eyes as you smiled and laughed from the thrill of the rides; he would have wanted to kiss you on the top of the ferris wheel because you would already be holding his hand since you were afraid of heights; but he would’ve saved your first kiss for the end of the night, for when he was walking you to your car, his hand in yours, his jacket around your shoulders- he would’ve kissed you under the moonlight. But then, maybe you wouldn’t have had your big break, maybe you wouldn’t have written your first big hit because he was in your life, because he was a distraction from your career- and then neither of you would have really known if you could make it in the music business. Yet again, maybe you two would have moved in together by now, living happily in a small apartment, or even a small house where you could have a dog to run around the yard.
For four years, he’s been dreaming of all the different events that could have occurred if he had just gotten out of the car, if he had just stopped you before you walked away. For four years, you’d owned his heart, and he didn’t know what he was going to do when he saw you tonight at the party.
“I’m sorry.” Harrison mumbled to himself, pulling on a nice button-up. He looked at himself in the mirror, fixing his hair a little. He just kept repeating the two words he so desperately wanted to tell you tonight. Maybe if he said it enough times now before the party, it’d be the only words he could squeak out when you were there. The anxious part of him was hoping you wouldn’t show, that you’d be sick or something and just couldn’t go; but then the realistic part of him remembered that you literally texted Tom this morning, asking why he didn’t tell you it was a birthday party because now you had to get him a last minute gift- apparently you’d seen the news on Twitter.
“Harrison, dear God, please shut the fuck up.” Tom said as he and Harrison were setting up the makeshift bar. The blond hadn’t even realized he was still mindlessly repeating those words.
“Oh, I’m-”
“Sorry. I get it.” He cut him off. “It’s going to be fine. She’s going to come in, and you’ll apologize.”
“That requires me to speak to her.” Harrison stated, his nerves already hitting him as his palms began to grow clammy.
“I had to listen to you go on about this girl for almost a year before you managed to actually say anything but ‘hi’ to her. You are going to talk to her tonight. That’s what the alcohol’s for.” He laughed lightheartedly, before threateningly adding, “And you’re not going to walk away from her!”
“At this point, I’ll be surprised if my feet actually work around her.” He sighed, putting his hands on the counter and leaning into them. He was beyond stressed about the party, which was just an hour away, “I don’t know what it is about her, but I just- I freeze. She’s beautiful and sweet and funny, and she’s got such an incredible singing voice. She’s perfect and breathtaking, and I can’t handle it. She’s absolutely the girl of my dreams but god, these butterflies are the worst thing in the world. Every time she’s near me, I just can’t speak and my heart feels like it’s going to jump out of my chest and my hands get all sweaty and- and I just love her, but I fucked it all up.”
“Calm down, Haz.” Tom spoke softly. “You never know, she might give you another shot. On the bright side, there’s no way you can fuck it up more as long as you don’t freeze.”
“What if-” Harrison paused, standing up straight, “What if I just kept my eyes closed all night, so if I run into her, I won’t freeze because I won’t be able to see her?”
“She’s not fucking Medusa.” His friend smacked him on the back of the head. “Pull yourself together!”
Once the bar was set up, Harrison went back to his room to try to memorize his speech, the perfect words that will hopefully win you over. He read over the small piece of paper, crinkling it under his fingers lightly. He heard Tom start the music and suddenly people began to arrive. He had to go out there now or else he’d never go.
“I can do this.” He told himself as he looked in the mirror, and he suddenly felt like a 19 year old all over again, anxiously hyping himself up for the biggest date of his life. This time it was different. This time he was going to talk to you (well, at least say ‘hi’ before running away).
“You good?” Harry asked as he handed Harrison a drink when the blond finally made it to the kitchen while the party was picking up pace.
“Yeah,” He replied, but it did nothing to convince either of them that he was, in fact, good. Harrison quickly drank the beer, knowing he’d need a bit more if he was going to actually confront you tonight.
“Don’t go too hard. You’ve got to be somewhat coherent when you talk to Y/N.” His friend warned, but Harrison shook him off, downing another. With two drinks suddenly in his system, he stopped to nurse the third one properly. Harry sighed, but he even had to admit that it was a decently good sign that Harrison wasn’t completely planning on being wasted when seeing you (he’d save the shots for after your rejection). Before leaving Harrison alone, Harry stated, “Don’t finish that drink until you talk to her.”
Harrison did as he was told, slowly savoring the one drink while eating some snacks and socializing with old friends. Tom made the rounds throughout the party, and it didn’t take long for Shelby to be latched on his arm. After half an hour of waiting for you, Harrison was about to give up hope and just chug the rest of his drink to get another because he could feel the alcohol slowly fade away. He couldn’t grab another though, because while Harry wasn’t in the kitchen with him anymore, the curly haired Holland still kept a watchful eye on him.
“Haz, look who just showed up.” Tom said, coming over to his friend and nudging him towards the front door, where you just stepped in. Just like that, the nervousness was overflowing in Harrison.
“Go talk to her.” Harry encouraged him, appearing by his side with Sam.
“I don’t-”
“Go!” All three Hollands shouted while Tom physically shoved his friend in your direction. Harrison’s feet took him to you, but they refused to move once your eyes landed on him.
“H-hey, Y/N.” He said, swallowing the anxious lump in his throat.
“Hi, Harrison.” You replied stiffly. In all honesty, you weren’t at all expecting him to actually come over to you and talk to you, not after the grocery store incident.
“Do you- do you want a beer? Or a Whiteclaw? We might have shots too.” Harrison offered. His cheeks heated up with a blush as he stuttered. If he thought he wasn’t good enough for you back then, he definitely felt inadequate now. The past four years had been good to you; you were even more beautiful in his eyes. And it definitely didn’t help that he knew you were a famous singer with probably numerous guys kissing at your feet.
“Could I have a Whiteclaw please?”
“Uhuh, yeah,” He nodded, but his feet wouldn’t move. They’d fallen under your captivating spell. God, maybe Tom was wrong, maybe you were Medusa.
“Everything alright?” You asked, pausing as you were going to follow him to the kitchen, yet he made no noticeable effort to move.
“Yeah, yeah.” His feet finally let him move. So far, so good; he had said all of ten words to you and he hadn’t completely frozen yet- and he hadn’t even walked away from you. As you followed Harrison into the kitchen, the other three Holland boys huddled in the crowd to sneakily watch.
“Wait, wait, that’s Harrison’s Y/N?” Sam asked quietly, just as surprised as Harry had been last week. Harrison was an actual mess as he tried to open your Whiteclaw for you, just to have it bubble over into his hands. The three other boys felt a wave of secondhand embarrassment hit them.
“This is painful to watch, but I can’t look away.” Harry laughed, taking a drink of his beer.
“You think this is painful? I had to sit through his schoolboy crush on her for years, I had to hear his every thought about her. And that includes his dilemma of asking her to formal.” Tom shook his head.
“Did he?” Sam asked.
“We were at a party and I think he got out the ‘will you’ part before running off to the bathroom. That’s the only time I’ve ever witnessed him vomiting from alcohol.” He shuddered, remembering having to console his incredibly drunk friend in the bathroom. Now, he was happy that Harrison was finally talking to you like you were a normal person or he was trying to. As if he was trying to will his friend some confidence, he murmured, “Just don’t choke, don’t walk away.”
“Here,” Harrison handed you a cup that he had transferred the Whiteclaw into, not wanting to give you back a sticky can. He washed his hands, acknowledging the sad Whiteclaw mark on his shirt.
“Thanks.” You replied, taking a sip of the drink.
“I’m sorry.” Harrison whispered, but with his back to you, the music blasting, and the sink still on, he knew you didn’t hear it. And he also knew that if he didn’t have the sound to drown out his words and if he turned to face you, he wouldn’t be able to recite his perfect speech. Sighing, he shut off the sink and turned to face you. As he started to speak, you looked at him and that was enough for him to not even make it past the “I”. Instead, he ended standing there and just moving his mouth, trying to get the words to come out.
“Yes?” You questioned. You remembered back at school that he was always nervous around you and you found it really cute and sweet. That was the main reason you were so interested in going on a date with him four years ago, and that was the main reason why you were so disappointed when he never showed up. Out of all the guys you’d ever met, Harrison was the one that you never believed would stand you up like that. It’d been four years, and you didn’t quite know if you still held a grudge over it. It hurt at the time because you really liked him and you thought he really liked you too, but years had passed so surely you should’ve moved on by now, right? And Harrison- he should have moved on too?
“I- um- ya know,” Harrison felt his tongue getting trapped in his throat. He wanted to scream out how sorry he was about everything and how much he actually cared about you, but the thought of actually talking anymore was making him want to vomit and he hadn’t even had that much to drink. Maybe alcohol with extreme nervousness wasn’t a good mixture for his body.
“Hey,” Tom approached you and Harrison, sweeping in to save his bumbling best friend.
“Hey, happy birthday.” You smiled at him. Harrison hung his head low in shame, he’d manage to mess it up again. He was more than thankful for Tom’s arrival.
“Thank you.” The birthday boy replied with a smile. He turned to Harrison and nudged him a little. “Harrison, what were you going to say?”
“Just, um-“ Harrison lifted his head to look at you, and suddenly wished he hadn’t. With your eyes resting on his intently and his heart beating fast, he could barely think. He thought back to his speech, back to those apologetic words he needed to say, back to his conversation with Tom just moments before the party. He quickly realized his mistake of thinking back to that recent memory because, before he could process his words, he helplessly blurted out, “You’re like Medusa.”
“Yeah- what?” Tom stopped himself, horrified at his friend’s words. He was fully prepared to back Harrison up, expecting him to say ‘I’m sorry’ or ‘I love you’- just anything besides ‘you’re like Medusa’. You just stood there with your eyes wide and jaw dropped. You didn’t even know what you were expecting him to say, but it definitely was not that.
“You know, like- you just-“ The blond tripped on his words, looking to Tom for help.
“What he means to say,” He sent his friend a glare before turning to you, “He’s sorry about your date years ago, and he finds you mesmerizing.”
“You know what? I don’t want to hear it.” You spoke angrily, feeling hurt by Harrison’s words. So much for the sweet and cute teenager you remembered. “Go fuck yourself, Harrison.” Before you even processed your own actions, you threw the rest of your drink on him and stormed out.
“I’m,” Harrison sighed in defeat as his body started to function without you there, “Sorry.”
“Medusa? Are you fucking serious?” Tom asked, infuriated at his friend’s idiotic words. He was grateful that the party was too loud for anyone to register your actions, except for Sam and Harry who were quick by Harrison’s side.
“What the hell happened?” Harry questioned.
“I fucked it up even more.” Harrison groaned, grabbing some napkins to try to wipe off his face and shirt.
“He said she was like Medusa.” Tom explained.
“Since when is your game with girls shit?” Sam stated.
“She is like Medusa though. I freeze whenever she’s there.” The poor blond kept trying to wipe himself off.
“Well you don’t tell her that!”
“I need to go change.” Harrison sighed, leaving for his bedroom without another word.
“We either need to help him get over her or help him get her back.” Harry said as he watched his friend’s retreating form.
“Tonight was supposed to be getting her back.” Tom huffed in defeat. “This is going to be harder than I thought.”
Back in his room, Harrison discarded his wet shirt and went to his closet to grab a fresh shirt. That’s when he spotted it- the blue button up he’d worn for his date with you. It was his favorite shirt in his teen years, everyone always complimented it and his eyes whenever he wore it; but it had negative memories surrounding it, the negative thoughts of what could have been. It was mocking him. Grabbing a different shirt, he slipped it on comfortably.
He didn’t want to go back to the party downstairs. He just wanted to stay within the comforts of his room, where he could hide from socializing and act like you didn’t just humiliate him, like he had humiliated you years ago. He had to admit, he deserved a Whiteclaw to the face; in fact, he’d absolutely let you pour an entire keg on him if it made you feel better. God, he was so whipped for you, and you didn’t even know it, and worst of all, you weren’t even his.
Sighing, he laid down on his bed, wanting to savor a few minutes alone. It took him a moment before he registered the soft crinkling of paper and realized he’d been laying on his prepared speech for you.
‘I’m sorry, Y/N. I know you’re probably still mad, but just hear me out. I’m four years too late, and that’s four years I should’ve shown you just how amazing you are. I remember the first day I saw you at school. You were the prettiest girl in our school by far; I’d never seen anything as magnificent as you. You were funny, sweet, confident, beautiful inside and out- you were my dream girl. It took me months to work up the courage to talk to you, and I was so pleased when you’d reply to my small greetings with a simple smile. And then it took me even longer to have a full conversation with you. Do you remember it? It was about When Harry Met Sally because you said it was your favorite movie. I told you that I had seen it, but I lied and you knew it too. You were too nice to call me out on that though. Honestly, I still haven’t seen it. I know we didn’t talk much in school, it was more of a ‘we’re friends because we share classes’ friendship, but I still cherished every single time I got to hear your voice.
I know you’re wondering why I stood you up back then, but I didn’t intentionally do it. I was there, at the fairgrounds, two minutes early, and I was stressing over everything- over how I didn’t have a clean jacket to offer you in case you got cold, how I should greet you at the gate, whether or not I should kiss you at the end of the night. You meant so much to me back then- you still do now, but I was too nervous. I couldn’t get out of my car once I saw you there in that blue dress with the dandelions. You were breathtaking, and I couldn’t comprehend how someone as incredible as you would want to go on a date with me. You had almost every single guy at the school in love with you, it just didn’t seem possible that I could win your heart. It took me an hour, but I finally got out of the car and I was going over to you. I was so anxious and I still didn’t know what to say to you. You didn’t realize I was there, but I heard you on the phone. You said you wore that blue dress because you thought it matched my eyes, because you thought I’d like it more, you thought it’d make me like you more.
But you didn’t need a baby blue dress to make me like you. I was so head over heels in love with you back then. You didn’t know it then, and I didn’t know it quite yet either, but you owned my heart. I know this is a lot, and I know this is cheesy, but I do love you. I regret what I did four years ago and I often contemplate how different our lives would be if I had actually shown up like I was supposed to. I don’t regret giving you my heart though; it’s been yours for years and it’ll probably always be yours. So please, will you give me another chance? Will you go on a date with me? And I promise to show up and make it worth your while. You own my heart, please give me a chance at yours.’
Harrison laughed lightly to himself. The note was a pathetic attempt at some grand declaration of love and an apology. As sad as the speech was, he hated himself for not saying it to you. Instead he called you Medusa, of all things to say that was the worst. He didn’t mean it as a put-down or as a derogatory statement; he meant that you were just so captivating to him that he froze whenever he saw you. Everything about you was so beautiful, and he really needed to tell you that, even though he was sure you already knew it. He knew what he meant, but it didn’t come across at all how he intended it to.
He set the paper on his desk and left his room, knowing Tom would be expecting him to return to the party. Freshly changed, he went back downstairs and spotted the other three boys still in the kitchen conversing- he bet it had something to do with him, seeing as they all immediately quieted down when they saw him coming towards them.
“You alright?” Tom asked, genuinely concerned about his friend, even though he was currently trying to plot getting you and Harrison at least in the same room together again.
“Yeah, I’ll be fine.” Harrison replied. He gave his friend a reassuring smile, but he wasn’t fooling anyone really. He grabbed himself a new drink and went to get lost in the crowd. Tom sighed; maybe he shouldn’t have tried to push Harrison tonight, seeing his friend so upset just put a downer on Tom’s mood.
The night went on for Harrison though. Harry had been right last week- Shelby did bring some pretty attractive friends with her that she introduced to the blond (he thought mainly because Tom asked her to after the earlier events). One of them latched onto Harrison, and he didn’t mind the distraction, turning on his charm easily for her. Sam and Harry eyed their friend from afar as he flirted with the new girl; there was no denying Harrison could easily get a girl, which made it even more unbelievable that he was so tongue tied over you.
A few days passed and Harrison was still trying to recover from the party. His thoughts were still stuck on you. He couldn’t believe he had a second chance to talk to you and didn’t. Well, he did, but comparing you to Medusa wasn’t a good talk.
Unbeknownst to him, Tom had created an “ingenious” plan of getting Harrison to see you again, another shot for their friend to say something more than just a sad simile.
“We’re leaving now.” Tom said to Harrison as he and Harry started to walk out the door.
“Okay?” Harrison questioned. It was odd for any of them to announce that they were leaving the house. He had a strange feeling that his friends were up to something, but he couldn’t be bothered to actually care. What he didn’t realize was that Tom left with an envelope, encasing a familiar speech written by Harrison himself.
Hearing the front door close, he turned back to his phone in his hand. He took a sip of his tea as he continued to scroll through your Wikipedia page. Was it weird that he was looking you up? As long as no one knew, he felt like it was fine. He read over your brief background, which just said you were from Kingston.
He choked on his drink a little as he read over how you were discovered. You were singing one of your own songs in a cafe when an agent spotted you and eventually offered you a record deal. The song became your first official single and it was featured on your album of the same name. The song and album name? Dandelion. He could see it then, your blue dress with the delicate dandelion print on it with a denim jacket on top and a slightly damaged left pocket. He turned on the song on Spotify, listening to the lyrics, curious to see if it was about him. As the soft song began, he started to feel foolish; why would you have written a song about him? Maybe you just liked dandelions? Maybe you wore that dress on many dates? It looked incredible on you, so why wouldn’t you wear it often?
“Dandelion, a million little wishes float across the sky, but it’s a waste of breath and it’s a waste of time, I know,” You sounded almost sad as you sang, and Harrison assumed that’s what made you such a good singer, your emotion bled through into your songs, “‘Cause just like him, you always leave me crying, dandelion,”
Crying. Harrison made you cry when he stood you up. Maybe the song wasn’t completely about him, but something told him you may have been inspired after that night. He looked further into the song, wondering if maybe you had publicly said anything. Under the song’s Wikipedia page, it had a quote from you, saying “It was one of the worst nights of my life, getting stood up absolutely sucks and it’s embarrassing, but this song changed my life for the better, so I can’t help but feel a little grateful for that awful date”. As if the song didn’t already make him feel worse about it, you had confirmed it was about him, except no one knew that besides the two of you and anyone else who knew about that date specifically. Further looking into the seemingly endless page of information, he spotted the awards section. He couldn’t hide his pained smile as he read that not only was the song and album nominated for a Grammy, but you had actually won a Grammy for the song. So maybe there was a bright side to him not showing up that night because his actions made you write an incredible song.
As the song faded out, he jumped, hearing a sharp knock at the door. He quickly paused your music and closed out of his tab, not wanting anyone to have caught him basically stalking you online. He shoved his phone into the pocket of his sweatpants and walked to the door, wondering who would be arriving unannounced. He opened the door and froze, just like a few days ago, as you stood on his doorstep. The small smile on your face faltered as you saw him.
“Y/N, what- what are you doing here?” He asked, trying to wrap his head around the fact that you were there and it wasn’t just a hallucination.
“Tom invited me. Something about using my music in a film?” You explained, and Harrison raised his eyebrows at you questioningly. You sighed lightly, “Can I just come in and see Tom?”
“He, uh, he isn’t here.” He replied. A light bulb went off in his head, realizing why Tom was literally announcing his departure; he wanted you to be alone with Harrison.
“He said he was here. I just talked to him on the phone.” You stated, not fully believing him.
“No, he isn’t here.” He shook his head.
“Well, um, then I’m going to go.” You said, turning around. Harrison’s mind was racing, you were about to leave him again. Tom had already tried once to get you two together; he couldn’t let his best friend down again, he couldn’t let himself down again.
“”Dandelion”.” Harrison blurted out, stepping out of his to catch you before you got into your car.
“What?” You questioned.
“”Dandelion”. It’s a really good song.” He grimaced, suddenly feeling lame for saying it out loud. He didn’t mean to bring it up, but he needed to say something to you, and dear God it needed to be better than the Medusa comment.
“Thanks, I won a Grammy for it, so,” You answered proudly, pursing your lips together.
“I- I know.” His flickered down to your hand that rested almost threateningly on your car door handle. You were just about to pull it and leave when he spoke up again, “That dress looked amazing on you.”
This time, it was you who froze. You weren’t wearing a dress now, you weren’t wearing one at the party, and you definitely weren’t wearing one at the grocery store. Your mind had already made up its decision of what he meant, but your heart wouldn’t accept that pain all over again. “It’s been four years, Harrison. You don’t get to say anything now. I thought you were better than standing up a girl on a date that she was genuinely looking forward to.”
Harrison couldn’t react fast enough to your seething words before you got in your car and slammed the door shut, driving off quickly without sparing him another glance.  Once your car was out of sight, Harrison screamed out in agonizing frustration. He had you right there, you were right in front of him, he was actually talking to you, and he still managed to mess it all up. It seemed like no matter what he said or did, you weren’t ready to forgive him, but he wasn’t even sure he deserved your forgiveness.
“You let her go again?” Tom questioned, coming around the far corner of the house with Harry.
“I thought you two left.” Harrison looked at the pair suspiciously.
“We had to make sure you didn’t fuck it up again, but seems like you did.” He sighed, shaking his head, “Why did you tell her you were there? That’ll make her feel worse!”
“At least you didn’t call her Medusa.” Harry added, earning a pointed look from Harrison.
“Just stop trying to set me up with Y/N. She’s clearly still mad at me over it, and I can’t keep going through this humiliating cycle of rejection.”  With that, Harrison wordlessly stormed back into the house and up to his room, angry at his friends for trying so hard to make this right, angry at you for rejecting him yet again, angry at himself for letting you go again and again. Could he get another chance with you after messing it up four years ago and at the grocery store and at the party and now? He so desperately wanted the answer to be yes, but he feared his chances with you were up.
Harry turned skeptically to his older brother as the two walked inside the house. “Are you sure that was a good idea?”
“He talked to her at least. He said a full sentence and it was a compliment.” He said proudly, walking into the kitchen with his brother following him.
“No, I’m not talking about that. I’m meaning your other plan.”
“The letter? There’s two ways it can go: Y/N never talks to him again or she’s touched and reaches out to him.” He stopped, thinking for a moment, “Or she writes another Grammy-winning song about him being a dick. We’ll see in a few days what she does.”
“He’s going to hate you for this, you know that.”
“He won’t hate me when they’re on a date.”
“No, I’m pretty sure he’ll hate you for invading his privacy.”
“Whatever. Our plan is genius.” Tom smiled, extremely hopeful about his plan.
“Our? This was all your idea.”
“You’re an accomplice.”
“I’m a victim caught in the crossfire.” Harry held up his hands defensively.
Upstairs, Harrison was starting to grow worried. Where was his paper? He’d been running through it almost every day, hoping to grow the courage to tell you exactly how he felt. He was shit at words in person when it came to you, and he felt like he was even worse on paper. The speech was gone, and he had no clue where it was. He hoped no one had stumbled upon it- after all, he definitely hadn’t told his housemates about it.
Two days later, Tom started to get anxious, waiting for you to receive the letter and contact his friend. He thought perhaps it got put with fanmail, and you just wouldn’t see it for a while. He knew it was soon, but he was really, really impatient and he just wanted to do one thing right for his best friend, even if Harrison’s one request was for Tom to stop trying to be his wingman (in Tom’s defense, he told him to stop after the letter was sent and Harrison still didn’t know about it).
Trying to distract himself, Tom played Warzone with Harry. Neither of them had really talked about the whole letter situation, wanting the letter to take its own course. Just before they started another round, they heard a thud from Harrison’s room.
“What was that?” The older boy mumbled in confusion.
“Maybe he fell off the bed.” Harry laughed. His joke was short lived as Harrison came bolting down the stairs, phone in hand.
“Tom, give me your phone.” He insisted.
“Why?” Tom asked, handing over his phone anyway. After scrolling through it for a moment, Harrison’s eyes went wide.
“Holy shit!” He exclaimed, looking between the two phone screens.
“What is it?” The two others questioned.
“Y/N- she texted me.” Harrison smiled in disbelief, handing his friend his phone back. He sat down in the empty armchair and looked at his phone in awe.
“What’d she say?” Tom spoke up, ignoring his brother’s questioning look.
“She just said ‘You get one date. Don’t mess this up’.” He read off his phone, and Tom turned to his brother, nudging him a little. You’d gotten Harrison’s letter (that Tom sent) and you’d given him another chance.
“What’d you respond with?” Harry asked.
“I haven’t responded yet. She just texted me.” He said, nervously moving his thumbs as his phone rested in his hands. “Do I just ask about this Friday?”
“You mean tomorrow?” Tom clarified and he nodded.
“Too soon?”
“No, go for it.” He encouraged his friend. He smiled proudly as Harrison typed out the text and sent it to you.
“I wonder what changed her mind. I mean she was really mad last time. What if she’s leading me on? What if she’s going to stand me up?” He rambled anxiously. God, you hadn’t even planned a date yet, and he was a nervous mess.
“She wouldn’t do that.” Tom reassured him. Harrison hurried out of the room, murmuring something about needing to plan the perfect date (round 2). Tom turned to his younger brother, “She wouldn’t stand him up as revenge, right?”
Harry shrugged with a small sigh. Well, the boys could hope your intentions were good.
As Harrison tried to reel in his head and racing heart in the quiet reserve of his room, he felt his phone vibrate with another text from you. ‘They’re showing When Harry Met Sally tomorrow night at the park. Pick me up at 7?’
That’s not at all what he expected to receive back from you. Well, he definitely didn’t expect a text from you in the first place, which is why he had to check that it was actually your number on Tom’s phone. He didn’t expect your response to his sorta lame ‘are you free tomorrow night’ to be you planning the date itself. And not only that, but you wanted to see When Harry Met Sally- the first thing he ever truly talked to you about.
He could still remember that conversation clear as day. You were sitting beside him in study hall and pulled out your iPod to listen to music, since your 2010 phone didn’t have any music on it. You didn’t realize your headphones weren’t completely in, and your music started to play quietly. Harrison heard the soft jazz song play and decided to ask you about it before you got too caught up in your work. You smiled, telling him how “It Had to Be You” was from the greatest movie of all-time (in your opinion) When Harry Met Sally. He told you he’d seen it before and thoroughly enjoyed it as well, but the blank stare on his face when you brought up Meg Ryan was a dead giveaway to you that he hadn’t actually seen it. And yet, you didn’t make a comment about it; instead you asked him about his favorite movie. Before he could respond, your teacher called for silence, making you focus back on your work with your headphones plugged all the way into your iPod. Harrison thought that perhaps he saw you blush as you turned away from him, but he was too preoccupied with his mind still trying to process that you two had a conversation, a tiny one but it was enough for him.
He couldn’t argue with you about seeing the movie at the park tomorrow. You were giving him another chance, and if you wanted to see a movie in the park then Harrison would make damn sure that you’d get to see a movie in the park, even if he had to set up the projector and screen all by himself. This was his fifth chance with you, he couldn’t mess this up again.
“Ok, now remember, Y/N’s a human being so talk to her like one.” Tom stated as he stood by the front door with Harry and Sam beside him. Harrison sat at the step at the bottom of the stairs, tugging on his shoes. His big date was finally here, and his friends were grilling him on making it perfect. It kind of helped, but it also stressed him out a bit more.
“And compliment her, but not in a weird way.” Sam added.
“Don’t even think about Medusa.” Harry piped in.
“You got a clean jacket?” The oldest Holland asked. Harrison ducked back into his room to grab a fresh jacket, one that was perfect for you to wear tonight if you got cold.
“And you have the flowers, right?” At Harry’s words, the nervous boy rushed into the kitchen to grab the small, modest bouquet of fresh roses he had gotten earlier.
“How do I look?” Harrison asked, seeking approval as he held the bouquet in one hand and his jacket and keys in another. In jeans and a casual yet dressy blue shirt, he hoped he looked good enough for you. He thought about wearing that blue shirt he wore last time, but decided against it- maybe that shirt has bad voodoo on it, he didn’t know and he didn’t want to test it.
“You look great, now go get her.” Tom ushered him out of the door.
With a confident yet nervous spring in his step, Harrison stepped inside his car. He delicately placed the flowers and jacket on the passenger seat, sure to not damage or dirty either of them. He made his way over to your place, his fingers drumming nervously on the steering wheel. ‘Don’t choke’ he reminded himself. He needed to just make sure he didn’t freeze when he saw you; that was the most important thing, especially since he’d be driving the two of you tonight.
He pulled up to your house just two minutes before he was meant to be there. Two minutes for him to get up and greet you at the door. Just as he was about to open his door and step outside, your front door opened. He sat there awestruck as he watched you lock your door and head over to his car. You were sporting jeans and a simple navy blue blouse, and he swore you looked absolutely gorgeous. He unlocked his car and you opened the door, not even giving him any time to actually greet you outside.
“I got you flowers.” Harrison said, grabbing the jacket and the flowers off the seat to make room for you to sit.
“Thank you. You didn’t have to.” You smiled softly, but still graciously accepted the flowers when he handed them to you. You smelled them and eyed the various pink and red roses that made up the bouquet, “They’re beautiful.”
“You’re beautiful.” He replied, making you stifle a small laugh, even though you both knew how much he meant it.
“You look pretty handsome, too.” You stated and he started his car back up. “Sorry for rushing out here. My roommate was driving me crazy.”
“I get it.” He laughed, thinking about just how crazy Tom had been acting the past couple weeks. Well, maybe his craziness rubbed off because it led to this moment right here- Harrison taking you on a proper date and hopefully, not freezing.
As Harrison drove over to the park, you two talked about basically everything, about how eager you were to show him this movie, about how his acting had been doing, about how his dog was (he was surprised you remembered Monty). All of it just made him feel more comfortable. Once he got past the wall of nerves from your presence, he was able to flick on his charm for you. You may have been his dream girl, but you were also just a regular person, a person he could hold a steady conversation with. When the two of you arrived at the park, he quickly rushed to the back of his car instead of walking towards the movie itself.
“I brought us a blanket and some snacks.” He explained when he saw your confusion. You smiled at him as he got out a large blanket and a bag of sweets and drinks from his trunk. You may have been the one to decide on the date itself, but he did his own part of the planning, ensuring you had a clean spot to sit and something to eat and drink while the movie played. “I didn’t know what snacks you liked so I kinda got some of everything.”
He opened the bag out to show you its contents and you peered inside. He had sweet candy, chocolate candy, salty snacks, just everything. You looked back up at him and a bright blush made its way onto his cheeks. In your eyes, he was back to being the sweet 19 year old you had agreed to go on a date with four years ago.
“It’s perfect.” You reassured him, but you weren’t even sure if you meant the snacks or the date or just him.
“Well, we better hurry if we want a good spot before the movie starts.” Harrison laughed lightly, closing the bag and shutting his trunk. You walked beside him to where the movie would be showing and found a nice spot near a tree. He laid out the blanket for you and the two of you sat down next to each other, but not enough to actually be touching.
“I’m genuinely excited for you to see this.” You told him as the ads finished, signaling the start of the movie.
“I am, too.” He smiled over at you one last time before the movie truly began. It was only a few minutes into the film when you shifted to lean in Harrison’s side. After the initial shock of your movement, Harrison wrapped an arm around your waist so that you could fall easily into his side while you watched the movie play out. Halfway through the film, he felt you shiver a little and quickly handed you his jacket. He smiled to himself, happy that he definitely did at least one thing right, as you thanked him for the warm jacket.
Sharing snacks with you throughout the movie, he found himself truly enjoying it. He could see how it was your favorite film, how you loved the featured song so much that it was your favorite song. He couldn’t help but acknowledge how it was a film all about second chances, or really just multiple chances with the same person over and over again until they both finally got it right. His history with you may not have been exactly like the film, but he felt like it still resonated; he wondered if you chose the movie completely on accident or if you had remembered about that first conversation, if you had thought of it as similar to your current situation.
His overthinking wasn’t done there though. As he drove you back to your place after the movie concluded, you two discussed the movie (this time with actually understanding who Meg Ryan is). He was a little dazed as he talked, trying to think of how to end the night. Would it be too forward if he kissed you? Because truth be told, he’d wanted to kiss you since the moment he saw you all those years ago. When he pulled up to your house, he was happy to see you still casually wearing his jacket. He didn’t want the night to end, especially considering he still hadn’t really apologized for four years ago, still hadn’t explained himself for what happened at the party, still hadn’t explicitly told you about the mesmerizing effect you had over him.
“Well, thank you for tonight. It was nice.” You spoke up with a smile.
“Yeah, it was.” He nodded, feeling himself start to choke up. He’d made it almost two hours without becoming speechless in front of you, and now at the end of the night, perhaps when it mattered most, he couldn’t speak. You waited a moment before getting out of his car, almost like you were expecting him to say something more. He watched your retreating figure, your right hand shoved deep into his jacket’s pockets. It hit him all at once; you were nervous, you were wearing his jacket, you were walking away from him again. He wasn’t going to let that happen.
“Wait!” Harrison rushed out of his car and hurried up the driveway to you on the porch. As you stood there in front of him, looking at him intently, his nerves came racing back to him, but he had to say the words. ‘It’s now or never’, he told himself.
“Okay, this is four years overdue, but here it goes.” He started with a small sigh, “I know you think I didn’t show the night I was supposed to meet you at the carnival, but I did. You were standing at the front gate. You were wearing a light blue babydoll dress with dandelions on it and a jean jacket, but the right pocket was ripped because you always used to shove your first in there when you got nervous.” You slowly looked down at your right hand, nervously in the jacket’s pocket. Speechless, you listened to him continuing on.
“You were pacing back and forth that night and waited around for almost an hour before you walked away. And you were on the phone to someone when you walked away, telling them that you wore that dress so that it would match my eyes.” Harrison paused, swallowing down his nerves, “I was so nervous, I choked. And you know what, that hardly ever happens to me, but the truth is, Y/N, I think I liked you too much, and somewhere in the back of my head, I knew what that night would mean, and even how my life could be different now if I hadn’t let you walk away, but this a different moment, and- and it’s a chance to make a different choice.” He felt himself starting to choke up again, “And you’re really amazing, and I know we can’t go back in time, but I wish that there was some way-”
Harrison’s words were cut short as you grabbed the back of his neck and pulled him in for a kiss. Though he was incredibly stunned by the fact that you kissed him, his arms went to your waist, pulling you into him as he kissed you back passionately. The kiss ended all too quickly for him when you stopped it for air.
“Definitely four years overdue.” You smiled at him. If he wasn’t breathless already from the passionate kiss, your smile just his breath away even more.
“Thank you for giving me another chance. I really didn’t want to mess any of this up.” He admitted.
“Well, the letter was so sweet, I couldn’t say no.” You leaned in to kiss him again. He pulled back from the kiss though with wide eyes.
“What letter?” He asked.
“The one that you wrote? About me being the prettiest girl in school and how you were there when I thought you stood me up?” You explained, and his cheeks grew red in embarrassment.
“You weren’t supposed to see that.” He groaned, “I wrote that just so I could apologize to you at the party and to tell you how much you mean to me. I didn’t mean to say you’re like Medusa- I just meant that you’re-” You cut him off with another kiss.
“You talk too much sometimes.” You laughed.
“I can get used to getting cut off like that.” Harrison smiled at you, kissing you again.
He may be mad at Tom for sending that private speech, but Harrison got the girl in the end so maybe his friend wasn’t the worst wingman ever.

Just stop it. Brandy: just get out, I hate you liar, get out…… Brandy screams at rose, after rose left the office, brandy break down weeping SCENE SIX Brandy sit at the sitting room, watching the tv, news going on around the world obviously her mind seems outside the house, all in another world. After about a minute of leaking tears, she picks up her phone. Went to a number, typed a capital "AM SORRY". Switch off her phone and lays down. SCENE SEVEN Rose; " thanks for coming, although it took you extra two hours after you said you were close, guess you haven’t changed", smiling to brandy " I don’t have time for your nonsense chit-chat, why am in here, I got business to run’. Rose: " I love you, please never doubt that, what happened wasn’t planned, I didn’t even know I had gotten so far in, until he proposed, and I said yes. The feeling wont just go away, bran…… Brandy; " since when,

Brandy; "six, six, woah, six months, my best friend kept a secret from me, how many more do I need to know, you married, you got two kids in the cupboard’, Rose; ‘after you left, I lost it, couldn’t contact you, he stood with me, he was my comfort, he gave me happiness, we got married. I love him brandy and am not ready to leave him for anything". Brandy:" so why am I here, what do you want", Rose:" I want my best friend back, I want you to enjoy the happiness I do now, I need you to change your mentality about this feminism of a thing, please". Brandy: " so you want you change, why should I do that, give me reasons rose. Your love for a man made you leave me, common convince me your betrayal". Rose:" I accept, I betrayed you, but it was for a good thing, you are not happy brandy. I know that, I can see it in your face, just one chance, just a chance with a good man" "baby", she says holding a broken brandy’s hand, " please, a good man is what it takes, a good man won’t make you feel like a slave, like a servant, no he won’t want, he would want you as a helpmate, someone to complete him. Thank about it, no need to rush, just calm your heart, baby I need you to break that wall when that man comes, that responsible man with a good knowledge of how to treat a woman, okay, love”. Brandy kept to silence holding rose’s hand like her life depend on it. A lot was going through her mind, he wanted to talk but knew deep down the truth was been laid down flat. SCENE EIGHT ‘happy birthday brandy" "thanks so much for coming it’s a small party I guess, like I want, hmmm, rose is poking my eyes with invisible spears, wanting a speech, isoritte, here we go, thanks to God first, He made me special, am grateful to my parent for the prayers and support am 25 meh, so to rose, I love you more than life itself, you aint just a friend, you are my sister, days of fight and love, of arguing and convincing. Thanks for changing my mentality on some ideas I keep to heart, thanks for making me make the best decision, my life could ever need. Thanks love am happy for you, I appreciate you. To the man that wet through hell to get my heart, bros kudos to you mehn, guy you deserve some awards, thanks for not giving up on me, thanks for always running off to rose for ways to cool mu hot brain. I love you. Just mind you, no baby yet, let me enjoy my marriage first. And to all that……………. One Rose parked her black ride in front of her favourite restaurant, picked her bag, got out of her car. She adjusted her black body hug that speaks classy, executive, sexy, well marched with a luxury bag and watch, she matched in as beautiful as she can.
‘happy birthday brandy"
"thanks so much for coming it’s a small party I guess, like I want, hmmm, rose is poking my eyes with invisible spears, wanting a speech, isoritte, here we go, thanks to God first, He made me special, am grateful to my parent for the prayers and support am 32 meh, so to rose, I love you more than life itself, you aint just a friend, you are my sister, days of fight and love, of arguing and convincing.

7 MEN SAMURAI SOLO INTERVIEW
Scans not mine
Neither an English nor a Japanese native speaker
Feel free to correct me, thanks
Tumblr media Tumblr media
LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT
A gravure of 6 people who gives off a wonderful aura that seems like will make you fall in love the moment your eyes meet. In the interview, the members's value towards "love at first sight" is highlighted. (The interview was done at the middle of March.)
Questions:
Q1. Does love at first sight exist?
Q2. What specific first impression of a girl has a good impression on you?
Q3. What is the item that you fell in love at first sight and bought it?
Konno Taiki
A1. It is relatively possible (LOL).
But, not just based on the appearance, I may also be attracted to her inner side. I think I will find her cute when I try talking to her and will find out that she is an honest and airheaded girl. Basically, since I want for the move to come from me (T/N: lit. push myself harder), so on the contrary, I don't like to be told, "I fell in love with you at first sight." Without suddenly asking her contact address, I want to do things step by step (LOL). And then, when I also think that it is okay on her side (T/N: lit. she's good), I want to confess to her finally.
A2. Since I like someone who is an airhead, I can recognize if the person is an airhead or not on the first meeting. Since there is something that impresses only me (LOL). Being too much of an airhead is a problem but I like someone who is an airhead to an extent that I can tease. When she said something wrong, I want to pester her saying, "Can you try saying it again?" (LOL).
A3. I like a lot the black bomber jacket that I bought last year. I like the color black, and I came to like simple styles too. I first saw it in the internet but I am the type who buys things that I have seen in actual so I went to see it at the actual store and bought it there.
Recent Happening
I want to go and buy spring clothes but I refrain from going out too much so I can't go and buy...An email from the brand that I like came saying, "Our new collection is out" and I desperately want those (LOL). I buy sweater and parka every year but this year I am greatly troubled [whether to go out and buy or not]!
Nakamura Reia
A1. It totally exists! Since the personality shows on the face, if I like the face then I will like the personality too I think. I think the type of person I will like depends on the situation I am in at that moment. Like, I think a person who seems kind when I am tired is nice, and I will be attracted to a person who looks like I can have fun with when I am in high-spirit. But, on the contrary, I might get turned off at the person who falls in love at me at first sight.
Since I am putting a fake face in front of a person who I am meeting for the first time (LOL). It is not the first impression but I feel really being liked when the person responses back to me as an answer to my approach.
A2. More than being fixed with clothes that are in trend, I like better a person who shows "I like this!" with her clothes and small accessories. I want her to be a nerd of something. We will be excited together if we have the same hobby, and if we have different hobbies, I want her to teach me her hobby. For example, I am an indoor type but if she likes fishing, I want for us to try doing it together.
A3. A black setup with a dragon embroidery on it. It is very stern (LOL), but the material is very soft and it feels good wearing it, and I don't have to think of a coordinate so it is easy to wear. I often wear it to the filming site of 「Gekikaradou」.
Recent Happening
I bought a Pachira and started to raise it. Honestly, I wanted an animal but plants are cute too! I usually place it at the entranceway. But I sometimes bring it next to the window so it well get some sunlight.
Yabana Rei
A1.There is. It's just that I am shy of strangers so it takes time for me to make some move. I will consult for roughly a year (LOL).Or perhaps I should say, as long as there's no proof that I can make a move, it may take forever for me to make a move. If it will strangely destroy our relationship then it is better to just stay as friends. Even if a girl falls in love with me at first sight and approached me, I am thickheaded so I will probably not be able to notice it. I will not know if I will not be clearly told, "I like you."
A2. A person who can behave. For example, I like someone who stays silent in a quiet establishment, or someone who can read the room. Also, I think I will be happy with someone who has the same hobby as mine. Like we happen to like the same genre in music. My tension will rise the most with a person who likes cars.
A3. I don't think I am the type who buys impulsively at things that I fall in love at first sight. Even though I falll in love at first sight at something, I'm the type who will think properly about it. The black bass with a drawing of a bird that I bring on stage until now is a bass that I found by chance in an instrument shop. Even though there are other choices, after thinking too much about it, I thought, "The appearance of this one is cool after all," and I went to buy it the next day.
Recent Happening
3 more days and my sticker as a new car driver will be removed! Among the members, Taiko, Konpi (Konno), and Rinne-kun rode already but Taiko and Konpi are substantially banned from riding [my car]. Since they went on a rampage inside the car. They misunderstood a person's car with a jet coaster (LOL).
Motodaka Katsuki
A1. I don't fall in love at first sight but I think 1st impression is important to an extent. I think I will gradually like the person, who I thought is nice during our first meeting, while getting to know her. I am bad at dealing with someone who falls in love with me for the first time! But I am worried that that person will fall in love with another person (LOL). But if that person asked me, "Should we grab for a delicious meal?" I might be lured with food...(LOL). Moreover, I will be like "I know a shop with a delicious taco rice" and it seems like if I was told about something I am a maniac of, I will definitely talk about it.
A2. I am interested with the lips. With natural color, it has a sense of cleanliness, and lips that are not dry is nice. Things like lipsticks with loud colors, I don't like that much those that are shiny. A color that is close to a bare lips has a good impression in me. Wanting to kiss those lips without thinking, lips like that.
A3. I fell in love at a flounder in a fresh fish market and I bought it. Since its body is big, I was thinking that I could fillet it into 5 fillets. I filleted it into 5 fillets immediately at home, and I broiled some in the burner and I also made sushi.
Recent Happening
Abe (Ryohei)-kun gave me a parka from a brand I thought was good before. Before the filming of 「Q-sama!!」, he casually gave it to me saying, "Oh, which reminds me, here." I was really happy but it is super valuable that I can't wear it (LOL).
Sugeta Rinne
A1. I often think, "This person is cute" (LOL). But, I definitely do not tell it out loud! Finally, when I liked her inner side, I might be the type who will advance to being a boyfriend from being a friend. Even if how cute the person is, I don't like those who use words like 「w」
「草」 「sore na」 in mails (LOL). (T/N: w = laugh (LOL), 草 = literally, it means grass but people in the internet use it like "w" which means "laugh (LOL)" because "w" looks like a grass) Conversely, I will be a happy if a person falls in love with me at first sight, but I will completely doubt and ask, "Really?" If I am invited as a friend and gets confessed to, then my suspicions may loosen.
A2. A person who has silky hair, light makeup, and without colored contact lens. To exert a great amount of effort to be pretty is wonderful, but I think I like it better when it is not overly done. I like a neat and tidy person who looks good in white tops and denim pants!
A3. Before, I often fell in love at first sight with clothes, but I have a lot of failed purchases from buying clothes without trying them on. Like, when I bought a black long tee with a lion print on it, it turned out to be a dress for ladies (LOL). What I am currently aiming at is a sneaker with orange print on a white background. Since I haven't tried it on, I plan to buy it after I tried wearing it.
Recent Happening
Since I don't move extremely in the stage play「Hidamari no Ki」, my muscles toned down. My belly is protruding because of gastroptosis, so I was asked "Are you full?" during the dressing of Hakama (LOL). I must go back to training.
Sasaki Taiko
A1. There is. Isn't love in this world is approximately like that? I think there's not much of those who advance from friends to lovers. But since I want to know things about the other party, I want for us to exchange messages for around a month. And then, I want to meet the parents. Since it seems like we can properly date if I know the parents.
A2. A girl with pretty legs. I maybe looking at the legs more than the face. I like those girls who take care of their legs. But that doesn't mean I like girls to wear mini skirt, I am on the pants side. Lately, I think I came to like those pants like flare pants where it is tight in the thigh area.
A3. A large quantity of water from a large supermarket. 500mL of water came in a set of 40 bottles and it was very cheap. Also, I impulsively bought toilet paper. I bought so many that everything can't fit in the house so I gave some to my high school friend (LOL). Since I got my driver's license, I can now go in the supermarket alone and I go there around once a week lately. It feels like, "I've become an adult~." My next aim is the big potato chips!
Recent Happening
In the "Taiko Challenge" in ISLAND TV, when I uploaded a video of putting candy into a carbonated drink, I was surprised that the official account of the candy tweeted about it. Moreover, it is in English. Isn't that amazing? A CM may come after that...it will be my advance to the world. I might really do it! (LOL)

Chat Blanc review
(first time watching live, had no clue what they were saying, bullets, long, out of order)
Gabriel “I need to talk with my half-dead wife as an intro”
Rose is tired of Marinette’s bs
I was confused about the unicorn at first
Mari “can i come in” Nat “NO”
Marinette “I’m gonna abuse my LB power” Tikki “MARI NO”
Adri “hey how’s dad” Nat “NO”
I almost stopped watching when Ladybug started to enjoy Adrien’s room
Adrien will be very chill with ladybug’s identity reveal
It seem he managed to connect the “there’s someone I like” with himself
Interesting that Plagg is the one who is trying to stop him
The girls cheering Mari, also happy for AdriMari kiss is nice
Bunnyx appeared pretty quick & out of nowhere
So the bowl so Ladybug won’t be distracted?
Bunnyx “ok bye”
Chat Blanc wasn’t as creepy as I thought. He’s being tricky, but still feels like the usual Chat Noir just evil
Chat I don’t think that’s how tears work
Why hunt the earrings tho. Akuma-effect? Wanting ultimate power?
I wasn’t expecting Bunnyx to be used as a device to do two plots at once
It’s cool but could’ve totally usde more episodes for this. I wanna see what happened in between the flashbacks. I wanna see more Adrien and Marinette being a beautiful relationship.
It’s a bit hilarious seeign Bunnyx go “NO!” watching Adrien and Mari being a power couple.
Gabriel is a piece of sh*t, which isn’t new. “Ah yes you and my son are dating. Let me forcefully break you up in your happiest hours”
Adrien crying hurt me. Why are there so many crying
Gorilla is the only one who has a heart in this mansion
Good to know Cataclysm-ing the butterfly is harmless
Mari is ok with Chat’s identity reveal, probably because of the situation
Ok but this shows as long as their identity isn’t revealed to anyone else they’d be invincible
I loved Nathalie’s reaction. She’s hesitant to tell Hawkmoth
HAWKMOTH YOU SH*T I was hoping he wasn’t this low but oh well
I know HM intentionally lured the duo to his lair but I really want to see the entire sequence. How did he fall so hard to make a hole.
I thought of this when the trailer came out but I love seeing Chat do cat things, like crouching on top of the handrails.
So Chat learned HM’s identity? It is so sad he couldn’t cataclysm his dad, even in his emotional state
Apparently the staff is magical enough to fly back to its owner
How did HM hit Chat that hard. I’m sure he jumped a ridiculous height
HM is a piece of sh*t, part 3. Chat backing off is so upsetting to see.
I was expecting Ladybug to stand between CN and HM so it was weird to see her standing next to him
Chat just...gave up.
LET US SEE HIM TRANSFORM!!!!!!!!
IT HURTS TO SEE CHAT STRUGGLING HE DOESN’T KNOW WHICH ONE TO ATTACK.
Solution? Explode and hit both. Oh and also the moon
Apparently close-contact with cataclysm turns into a fragile statue.
I wasn’t sure where the fingersnap-clysm was gonna be used, it was pretty smart/cool. why he hit the floor tho. Does he want to kill her or not
Present!LB “oh hey look it’s HM and me! *touch self, crumbles* oh sh*t”
Bunnyx knows what happened, but for Present!LB it must’ve been bizzare to see HM and Other!LB being a statue together
Oh yeah Bunnyx is gradually being erased but girl you’re not doing anything sooo..... *shrug*
Ladybug gradually stripping off his accessory was so hilarious. someone in the chat: “dude stop at this rate he’s gonna be naked”
I was fully expecting Mari to yank off Chat’s ears next
Also apparently they’re all easy to break.
Infinite Cataclysm heck yeah
Chat is still dumb tho.
I really wonder what he’s talking about during the fight.
Miraculous ladybug!!!!   .....I thought it was gum. It’s an eraser
GIANT ASS CATACLYSM WOOOOOOOOOOO BIGGER THAN THE FUGGIN GALAXY BABY!!!!!
Oh you can retract/cancel it. Huh.
Chat, how many times did you get tricked. You’re an idiot. That’s why I love you.
Yay he’s fixed. He’s like “??? oh hey butterfly” love the way he holds it
Bunnyx “oh hey it’s over let’s go back”
Chat calling her Marinette and LB’s like OH
Ladybug hugging him and he’s like “????????” So cute
I was very worried she was just gonna leave him in the ruined city.
Ladybug thinking time! How did she find out her present was the cause? I guess because Bunnyx came to her after that?
Present!LB grabbing Other!LB is hilarious, “NO ERASE THAT”
Since the other LB disappeared, I guess that timeline officially disappeared? I was expecting her to simply “fix” the destruction and it will stay as a separate timeline, but I guess not (but then everyone knows each other’s identity in that timeline so...)
What excuse did Ladybug give to Adrien
WHAT EXCUSE DID MARI GIVE TO HER FRIENDS
Adrien’s face haha
Ladynoir ending! LB being happy Chat Noir is fine, Chat looking bit surprised but calm
Overall:
Enjoyed the episode even w/o understanding French
Each story element was good material, but feel it could’ve been used for longer and in-depth plot.
Wait how did Bunnyx exist (and was gonna disappear) if CB happened when it happened in present time? If CB dooms everything, Bunnyx would’ve never been formed? Hope the english version clears that up
Confusion: Does she learn Chat=Adrien? (unlikely, but it’s a bit confusing)
Definitely will watch again

Winter 2020 Anime Round-Up
I decided to do a round-up of all the anime I’m watching this season because, turns out, most of the shows I was interested in were bad!
I.D. Invaded.
This is a psychological thriller sci-fi mystery type show. It’s about a police unit who uses this sci-fi technology to detect a killer’s murderous intent and create a sort of virtual reality projection of the killer’s mind.
They then take a special agent and insert him into the projection to hunt down clues and find the killer’s identity and whereabouts.
Enjoying this show is not cheap. It asks a lot of you.
1. Don’t laugh at how ham-fisted the exploration of how a killer’s mind works is.
2. Don’t laugh at the special agent’s official designation being “The Brilliant Detective.”
3. Don’t question the ridiculous premise of the show; they use a killer’s particles to create the projection of their mind to hunt for clues, but are later shown using those same particles to pinpoint the killer’s location.
4. Don’t laugh at one of the police unit’s agents being a teenage girl.
5. And, of course, don’t notice all the expository monologuing for the audience’s sake.
The show is silly, but there’s some intriguing stuff in it. The conflict between the unit’s field squad and the desk workers can be good, though the locus of that conflict being about what seems to be a bureaucratic oversight is pretty weak.
The teenage girl is the most bald-facedly ridiculous thing about this show, but she is unironically the best character. She does some daring, crazy shit in this show and I was legitimately shocked by it.
Oh, yeah, I forgot.
6. Don’t laugh at the OP using recycled production materials and footage from the first episode.
Signs of a quality production right there.
 Plunderer.
>.<
This. Show.
I feel bad for Sarah Wiedenheft. She voices the main heroine in the dub. The in-over-her-head, naïve, helpless heroine, Hina.
God, help us!
Hina is a woman with a mission. She is bubbly and naïve, but stubborn and she gets in over her head by the end of the first episode. Why?
You know why, fool! So she can be rescued by the hero.
This show puts a creative spin on the typical shonen formula. Many shonen shows are designed to be wish fulfillment for teenage boys, with Mary Sue main characters for them to project onto.
The crazy spin on the formula here is that it’s wish fulfillment for sexual predators.
That’s not a joke.
The show takes place in a magical world where everyone is branded with a “count,” a number that increases whenever they complete a task specific to them.
Hina’s count goes up whenever she walks 100 km. Another’s count goes up whenever her food is complimented.
The count is denoted by a number that’s branded somewhere on their bodies. Hina’s count is located on her inner thigh, just below her crotch.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, this is what the hero does to Hina the first time they meet:
Tumblr media
This is them at the end of the episode after he rescues her.
Tumblr media
You know how in Dragon Ball, Master Roshi was this old pervert? The hero here is like that, except he’s young, not old, and a predator rather than just a pervert.
Licht is the hero; his count goes up whenever he dates someone, I guess, but the thing about him is that he’s a predator, so his count is actually -999. If your count reaches zero, you’re Kylo Ren-ed off into an abyss never to be seen again, so negative counts shouldn’t even be possible.
The reason the hero isn’t dead is because he’s actually.
Wait for it.
The Legendary Ace!
A badass fighter spoken of only in legends!
Who is this show even for?
It’s clearly supposed to be a wish fulfillment kind of show, but the only people I can see projecting onto the hero are, like, really, really pathetic people who fantasize about sexual assault.
(Another female character’s count is located on her left breast.)
The heroine is looking for this legendary ace, but even though she’s lived in this world her whole life, and has traveled throughout it her whole life, she knows nothing about how the count system works.
That was necessary, you see, for two reasons: so the system can be explained to us in monologue, and so the heroine can be made helpless and in need of rescue.
Those with a higher count have a high social status. This could have been a cool exploration of how luck is underappreciated as a factor in one’s social status, since how counts are determined is completely arbitrary and some are easier to increase than others, but no, we don’t get that.
People with a lower count must obey people with a higher count. But you’re in the military, there is an appeals process: if you have a lower count and are ordered by someone with a higher count to do something, you can challenge the high count to a duel and if you win, you can ignore their order.
You can then take the loser’s count and add it to your own.
These duels are called “star stakes.” >.<
Hina, naturally, is suckered into one of these duels and is about to lose everything when Licht saves her by agreeing to duel Hina’s opponent on her behalf.
And just to emphasize how infantilized Hina is in this show, Licht not only saves her physically, he even provides her with some emotional support, but phrased in a way that totally talks down to her.
 Asteroid in Love.
I’ve already seen the first episode three times, and I have no shame!
Doga Kobo is the Kyoto Animation of the past few years. Just as KyoAni made a name for themselves with a string of shows about cute girls doing cute things, Doga Kobo have sort of taken on that mantle.
Three Leaves, Three Colors; Gabriel Dropout; New Game; Senko-san; and now Asteroid in Love are all shows with good characters with good design work and animation better than they had any right to have.
This show is about a girl named Mira who meets a boy named Ao during a camping trip. He has a thing for astronomy and Mira is completely won over by it. They promise to discover and name an asteroid together.
Tragically, that one camping trip was the last they saw of each other.
Comically, they happen upon each other at the start of high school and wouldn’t you know it? Ao was a girl the whole time!
She was very tomboyish at that time in her life, so Mira mistook her for a boy.
But whatever, Mira’s friend still ships them.
They’re both passionate about astronomy, so they reconnect and become good friends real quick.
The friendship between Mira and Ao is by far the best part about this show; unfortunately, everything else is very generic.
High school club? Check.
Club member who’s boisterous and excitable? Check.
Club member who’s serious and down to earth? Check.
But in spite of all that, I could watch this show all day.
The presentation is excellent. The character designs are lovely and the direction and animation are amazing.
 Magia Record.
A spin-off of Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Magia Record takes place before Rebellion, but in an alternate universe where the events of Madoka Magica haven’t happened yet. There’s a new cast, but the main cast of Madoka Magica will be back as major characters.
InuCurry, who did the artwork for the witches’ labyrinths are back, this time as series co-directors and co-writers.
The Magica Quartet, the brain trust of people who created Madoka Magica, Gen Urobuchi, Akiyuki Shinbo, Ume Aoki, and Atsuhiro Iwakami, are back too. The four are collectively credited with coming up with the story.
Shinbo, who co-directed Madoka Magica, is back as an animation supervisor. Aoki is back in her role as character designer. Iwakami is co-credited with series planning.
Yukihiro Miyamoto, who co-directed the original series alongside Shinbo, is back as assistant director.
This show…it’s just good to see it all back. The character designs are a bit different from the original series, but they nailed the aesthetic otherwise.
Magia Record draws heavily from plot elements first used in Madoka Magica, but it’s not what I would call uninspired. Anyone who’s seen Madoka Magica will notice the callbacks, but they’re fun, not cringeworthy.
It reminds me of how The Force Awakens brought people back in to the Star Wars universe by heavily echoing A New Hope, but Magia Record is much more creative in its echoing than Force Awakens was.
Everyone who likes the OG series should check this out.
There’s already much intrigue in the story. A magical girl whose wish was granted, but also apparently simultaneously erased from existence, rumors of a city where magical girls can be “saved,” and a Kyubey who is a separate entity from the others.
The show is an adaptation of a mobile rpg. This is from a cutscene.
Tumblr media
Iroha Tamaki, the main character of Magia Record, and Homura Akemi.
Get excited.
 Bofuri.
This show is like Asteroid in Love, in that it would be totally boring if it weren’t totally charming.
This is the type of show that takes a silly phenomenon in the real world and makes it the premise of the whole show. Maple is a girl who’s just gotten into video games. Because she’s a newb, she puts all of her points into defense at the expense of even basic stuff like speed and strength.
Thus ensues hilarity.
There’s not much to talk about here. Maple is endearing as a video game noob. The artwork is great. The writing is legitimately funny in a subdued way.
A+
 Darwin’s Game.
I watched this show because the premise reminded me of King’s Game.
For those who don’t know, King’s Game is widely considered to be the worst anime ever made. It sucks.
King’s Game is about a death game administered over the phone and it the point is that everyone dies. It tries hard to do horror and it fails hard. I watch it every Halloween. :D
Darwin’s Game is about a mobile app game that pits players against each other in death matches. You win by killing all the other players.
With some shows it’s clear the writer can’t decide what they want to do. This show can’t decide if it wants to be trash or legit good.
Immediately you can tell this show is going to suck because the artwork is terrible. This is an ugly show to look at.
The show opens with a cold open clearly made to make the audience ask questions. It succeeds too well.
The opening depicts a random person being chased through the streets and then killed by an invisible furry.
Seriously.
By God, the fanservice in this show…
Tumblr media
This doesn’t even fully capture the shamelessness of it. If you watch the episode, you’ll notice her dress has frills from the waist down.
Except for when we see her kneeling down, when her dress is suddenly a single piece of cloth. So we can better see her ass outlined through it.
Things temporarily get good when the main character has to fend off the furry from the opening. It really is thrilling, but everything goes back to crap when the mc has to fight the dress woman in the above picture.
He doesn’t kill her though. Oh, no, he doesn’t.
She becomes smitten by how strong he is and the episode ends with her asking him to bed her.

Again, thank you ever so much to @scribbles97 who has helped me through this entire fic. Also thanks to @i-am-chidorixblossom and @the-lazy-razorsharp who have also answered my frantic calls at various points in time – this fic was a nerve-wracker and I can be really insecure at times :D I would also like to give a massive thanks to all of you who have cheered me along the way. This time I wonder what it feels like
To find the one in this life
The one we all dream of
But dreams just aren't enough
So I'll be waiting for the real thing
I'll know it by the feeling
The moment when we're meeting
Will play out like a scene straight off the silver screen
So I'll be holdin' my breath
Right up to the end
Until that moment when
I find the one that I'll spend forever with
'Cause nobody wants to be the last one there.
'Cause everyone wants to feel like someone cares.
Someone to love with my life in their hands.
There's gotta be somebody for me like that.
'Cause nobody wants to go it on their own
And everyone wants to know they're not alone.
Somebody else that feels the same somewhere.
There's gotta be somebody for me out there.
Nickelback, Gotta Be Somebody
It was a perfect evening. Autumn was truly showing its colours with warm days and cool nights. A touch cool for him, the tropics made him soft for temperature extremes, but Em showed no such concern.
Virgil had ribbed him the entire trip, airlifting Scott’s Lamborghini from one country to another. Some fast talking and a bucket of money at the state government service point and the blue sports car hit the Perth highway network with Western Australian plates. Taking the day to familiarise himself with the city while Em finished up with some patients and he realised why Virgil so liked bringing his Harley onto the continent. So much sun, so much road. Perhaps he and Em could...he smiled to himself. One step at a time.
He picked her up at her apartment, eyes agog at the sight of his girl dressed in flowing deep blue satin. Her dark hair was gently curled, her lips blood red and her pale blue eyes smiling at him. He found it very hard not to smudge her makeup right there and then.
As it was, she grinned up at him and brushed the lipstick off his lips with her thumb. “You dress up very nicely.” And she was eyeing him very obviously. Her hands landed on his shoulders, soft through his jacket and she leant up and kissed him again.
Hmmm.
Very nice. His hands around her waist, soft material...warm skin. Oh god, the dress was backless. He deepened the kiss, his tongue finding hers, his fingers brushing across the curve of her back, slipping over that tantalising softness...drifting lower, slipping beneath fabric, beautiful, oh yes...pulling her closer, losing himself in her.
His hand trailed down her spine. Soft skin became rough and his fingertips stumbled over obvious scars.
He tensed, but hurried to cover.
Not subtle enough.
She broke off the kiss and shot him a questioning look. “Scott?”
“I have something for you.” He put everything into his smile.
It appeared to work.
“What are you up to, fly-boy?”
A grin and he led her to the car.
“A lamborghini? A blue lamborghini?”
He snorted. “I guess, if you really want it, you can have it, but no...” He opened the car door and, reaching in, pulled out a single red rose. “According to Virgil, this is something a prospective boyfriend gives a prospective girlfriend on their first date.”
Em was smiling enough for her eyes to sparkle with it. “Virgil gives great advice.” She took it gently from his hand and smelt the opening bud. “Lovely.” Looking up at him through her eyelashes, she purred, “You know, I should kiss you thank you, but at this rate we are going to spend the entire date on the sidewalk outside of my apartment.”
A grin. “Sounds good to me.” He brushed a stray hair from her forehead and replaced it with his lips.
She leant into him. “Oh, you big distraction.” But she slipped her hands under his jacket and around his ribs, and again, he found himself kissing her. His heart-rate spiked and he became extremely aware that if he didn’t stop enjoying himself so much, they would end up somewhere much less likely to serve food.
He wanted to do this right.
God, he wanted to do this right.
Breaking off the kiss, he smiled down at her. “You are rather distracting yourself.” He curled her hair behind one of her ears. “Truly beautiful, Emaline.”
Her eyes widened and her lips parted as if to say something, but closed instead, smiling, somewhat shyly. She fiddled with his jacket collar. “You know how to sweet talk a lady, fly-boy.”
He lowered his voice. “I know how to tell the truth.”
Another smile and she turned slightly, linking her arm in his. “So, you ready to show a girl a good time?”
A grin. “Oh, most definitely. Your limo awaits.” He gestured towards the Lambo. A step and he opened the door for her.
“Why, thank you, kind sir.” Her hoverjets whirred as she lowered herself to the level of the seat and, disengaging her harness, levered herself into the car. It was awkward and Scott hovered a little to make sure she didn’t slip. “You okay?”
“Never ridden in a sports car before.” She grinned up at him and straightened her skirt. “This thing got a boot?”
“Boot?” He blinked.
She rolled her eyes. “A trunk?”
“Oh. Oh, sure.”
A flick of her palm controls and the hoverscoot rose up in front of him. “Grab it.”
He did as he was told and another flick of her fingers and the jets disengaged, the ‘scoot falling into his grip. It was surprisingly light.
He closed her door gently and walking to the front of the car, stashed the ‘scoot in the trunk, before jumping into the driver’s seat.
“Ready?”
She was fiddling with an extra harness, attaching it to her seatbelt. “Sorry, I need to be a little more secure.” A clip around the lap belt and she straightened. “There. Now, fly-boy, let’s see what this gorgeous machine can do.”
A laugh, and he started the engine. A good throaty roar and he pulled out onto the road. “Would you like to go for a bit of spin before dinner?”
“I hear rumour you like fast things.”
“That is no rumour.”
“Then let her rip.”
So he did. Grabbing the nearest freeway, he opened her up as far as the speed limit would allow. He headed for the distant hills, looking for some nice curves in the road to wrap her around. Em appeared to be enjoying every minute of it. As the sun headed towards the horizon, they disappeared into eucalypt forest, leaving the freeways behind. The long shadows of trees sped over the hood of the car like a strobing light.
“How long have you had this car?” Her question broke the rumbling silence of the last thirty kilometres.
“A few years. Gordon bought his, followed by Virgil.” He shrugged. “It seemed like a good idea at the time. Unfortunately, I haven’t had much of a chance to take her out.”
A half smile out the corner of his eye. “Well, hopefully you will get more time now.” She reached over and put her hand on his thigh. Her finger began rubbing circles on his pant leg.
His hand drifted to hers, wrapping her fingers in his. “What do you feel like for dinner? Any dining preferences?”
“Anywhere with you will do.”
He grinned. “So McDonalds in a carpark do the job?”
“Hah! Upgrade to fish and chips and a scenic lookout and you’re on.”
A blink. “Actually that doesn’t sound too bad.” He couldn’t remember the last time he’d parked a car and just sat to look at a view. “But this is our first date, I want it to be memorable.”
“Then fish and chips it is.”
And she meant it. Before he knew it, she had him pulling to the side of the road in front of a mom and pop shop in some tiny wannabe town and he was ordering a meal that cost less than one of Virgil’s fancy coffees.
Two sodas and a hot dinner wrapped in butcher’s paper. Em pulled up the location of the nearest lookout and they were parked, just in time to see the sun slip below the horizon.
The smell of hot fries permeated the car and set his mouth watering.
“They are not fries. They’re chips.”
“Look like fries to me.”
“Well, they’re not.” And she whacked him on the nose with one.
“Hey!” She giggled as he wiped the salt off his face. “You’re asking for it, young lady.”
“Ooh, asking for what?”
“Keep doing that and you might find out.” He bit into a chip and it had the perfect crunch followed by light and fluffy potato inside. “These are delicious.”
The lookout was deserted and as the sun disappeared, it grew dark and the city in the distance lit up in the yellows, white and oranges of street lighting, with the central business district standing bright as if a centre piece to the whole panorama.
“There is something about looking down at a city at night. All those lights, a home, a house, a building, a street lamp. All defying the darkness, outlining where we’ve spread, our impact on our environment, our determination.”
“I should take you up to Thunderbird Five and let John show you his view.”
She was staring at him. “Into space?”
He smiled. “Yes, into space.” A sigh. “Sometimes I forget that some things we do are not every day things.”
“The Tracys don’t do ‘average’.”
“What?” It came out as a half laugh.
“Kayo told me that the day I first arrived on Tracy Island. I have to say, she’s got it right.”
“I hope you don’t hold that against us.”
“Against you? No. You just have a little magic at your fingertips.”
“Magic.”
“Yes, magic.” She reached out and touched his face. “In more ways than one.” Her smile was gentle.
“Heh.” He couldn’t help it, he blushed.
That smile turned into a grin. “And here I thought only your grandmother could manage that.”
He straightened a little. “What can I say? You have your ways.” He shoved another chip into his mouth and guzzled a little of his drink.
“There is no need to be embarrassed.”
“Not embarrassed.”
An arched eyebrow, but she left it, eating a chip of her own.
The meal passed pleasantly, and soon the butchers paper was scrunched up and Scott climbed out of the car to deposit it in the nearby public trash bin. The air was a touch chilly, but oddly refreshing. Walking around to Em’s side of the car, he opened her door. “Would you like to do a little stargazing?”
She grinned. “I can do that from here.” Her expression turned all starstruck and obviously targeted him.
“Oh, really?” He struck an alluring pose.
Em burst out laughing. “Okay, perhaps you are right. Let us gaze at a galaxy of burning balls of gas.”
“Hey!” But he was grinning as much as she and as Em unfastened her harness and seatbelt, he grabbed her ‘scoot from the ‘boot’. A little shuffling and the occasional mutter and his girl was mobile again.
He took her hand in his.
“I like your hands.”
Scott startled. “What?”
“They’re warm and your fingers are so long and elegant.” Both of hers wrapped around his right hand, rubbing it a little. “And they were the first part of you that reached for me.” She kissed his middle fingertip.
He couldn’t help but smile. “How do you do that?”
“Do what?”
“Just...” How could he explain it? She affected him. Churned something inside. Made him...feel good. He reached up his other hand, sliding his fingers into her hair, cupping the back of her head. Bending down, he kissed her again. She responded immediately, letting him in, moving closer until she was in his arms, her body pressed up hard against him. She was just...
She was smart. Different smart to him, but smart, quick, able to keep him on his toes.
She was strong. She could kick his ass. She took no shit and could give as good as she got, if not better.
She was beautiful. Her smile caught him and set his heart beating harder than it ever had. He wanted to run his fingers through her hair.
He wanted her.
Oh, god, he wanted her.
And she loved him.
He broke off the kiss, staring into her pale eyes. “I love you.” It was a revelation, but not. The words just simply existed and he knew them to be true. She was different from anyone else. She was...
She was Em.
And she was staring back up at him, her eyes wide, her lips parted.
She was kissing him again, reaching up and pulling him down. A whir of hoverjets and she was suddenly at his height, kissing him urgently, her hands in his hair, her lips on his and he couldn’t help but respond.
He held her. He kissed her. He loved her.
And everything just seemed right.

The beep was soft, barely loud enough to hear, but it woke Kayo without a problem. It was designed to do that.
Beside her, Virgil slept on, finally on his stomach. She took just an extra moment to appreciate him, barely visible in the dark, his broad and bare shoulders once again bunched up as he hugged his pillow. He was breathing softly.
She resisted reaching out to touch him and slipped from the bed instead, leaving the room silently.
“Yes, John?”
“I’m not calling Virgil out, I just need some information, I promise.”
Kayo sighed. “John, I owe you an apology.”
“What?”
“You got the raw end of everything during recent events and I know I’m partly to blame. I am sorry, it shouldn’t be that way, and I apologise.”
The line was silent a moment, then a quiet, “Apology accepted” wandered down from orbit.
The silence returned.
“John?”
“Kayo, you used one of Virgil’s trackers for Em’s hoverscoot.”
“Yes, but I changed the flag so you could see it was different.”
“But not everyone would know that. It was still on the same frequency.”
She blinked and it all came together in her head. “You think someone has hacked our tracker system. You think they were after Virgil?!” She raised her voice involuntarily and had to bite her lip to stop saying more.
“Kayo, it is inconclusive. Why bomb the bridge? If someone was after Virgil, why approach it like that? And it is very obvious that Em is not Virgil. Eyes on target would reveal that immediately. No, I think there is more to this.”
“I want the trackers scrubbed. Speak to Brains. I want security upgrades on all our networks. Find the hole and plug it.”
“Kayo-“
“Including the subcutaneous.”
“Kayo-“
“John-“ A pair of large hands slid around her waist and drew her up against an equally large and warm chest. A kiss at the base of her neck.
Warm breath.
His voice was deep and rough with sleep. “Kay? What’s wrong?”
“John, do it. I’ll be there momentarily.” She killed her comms and, turning in his arms, looked up into his beautiful brown eyes. They were heavy-lidded and frowning with a little worry for her. She forced a smile. “Not much. John discovered a problem with our trackers. I need to go up and help him with a system overhaul.”
“In the middle of the night?”
“Security is security.” She reached up and placed her hand on the side of his face. He leant into her touch. “Go back to bed, love. I’ll see you in the morning.”
He drew her into a hug, gently kissing her. “Will miss you.”
“I’ll miss you, too. Go back to sleep.” She turned his dopey figure back in the direction of the bedroom and he obeyed reluctantly.
Grabbing her uniform, Kayo shoved it on, anger in every movement, mentally cursing whoever was responsible.
Well, they would regret it.
No-one threatened her family and lived.

WHEN THE SUN GOES DOWN|| chapter 1: Begin!
summary: First chapter of ‘when the sun goes down’. [college!au - werewolf!au]
word count: 5525k.
genre: currently neutral, but will have smut, angst, fluff in the future.
 Prologue | chapter 1 | next
“It’s going to be alright, Tae.” You squeezed your cousin’s hand while both walked through the hall of your new life. It was a small apartment you both bought with Taehyung’s inheritance after the tragic passing of his mom 3 years ago. In fact, you felt like you lost your own mother since your biological one never cared enough to even raise you. Both of you started to live as siblings when you were 3 and Taehyung was 5 years old, ever since then you never thought about each other as less than that… brother and sister, and no one would ever be able to destroy that, you promised while crying at the age of 7 and 5 when your golden fish died after you both fed him too much. He always begged for a baby sister, and he was extremely happy to have one.  Now you were 21 and he was 23 but he still didn’t stop calling you that.
“Yeah, I hope so.” He laughed it off as if moving in was no big deal. Which in fact,   wouldn’t be a big deal to people, but to you it meant so much more than that. It meant you had a new chance, a new beginning and a fresh start for both of you.
“Come on! Don’t be so grumpy.” You let go of his hand while you danced around the room that still had no furniture. “This is such a big deal. We’re finally moving on.”
“Dad’s not so happy about it, though. How can I be okay with that?” Taehyung also walked in, putting down the bag he had with him. “How are we going to deal with him on Christmas after this?” He sighed heavily, walking around the empty room, analyzing the walls and windows and trying to come up with an art in his head to decorate it all. Taehyung was good with graffiti just like your mom and he only truly accepted the idea of buying an apartment when you agreed you’d let him draw all over the walls. Of course, you were a little scared, but that was something you could deal with.
“Tae, dad will understand we have to grow up at some point. I know it is hard for him to let us go, but it would happen eventually, plus… We’re together. We will take care of each other… soon he will see that this is not so bad.” You smiled to him before walking to the kitchen, which thankfully already had its beautiful furniture chosen carefully by you and your girl best friend that stayed back home.
“You don’t really get it, do you? He expects me to take care of you, and honestly… how can I do that when you are always into some mess? There’s only so much I can do to get you out of trouble.” He scoffed joking about all your awful dates, knowing you were already cursing your uncle for entrusting Taehyung that stupid mission, although it was nothing serious. You knew deep down inside why he was always putting that weight on Taehyung’s shoulders, he was scared you’d turn out just like your biological mother; however, your “mess” was nothing compared to your mother’s mess. Your trouble always stood by the broken hearts area, but your mother… well, not even close. Taehyung’s dad was your mother’s big brother, after all, he saw his little sister going into every single wrong path her entire adolescence, and later on, on her adulthood as well. There’s not much he could’ve done anyway, she was in too deep to escape; your biological father had her hooked, he manipulated her ever since she was 16 and he was 26. Unfortunately, your uncle found out about that relationship a little bit too late to get her back. And no matter how much he tried, your mother would always slip away into the bad life again, and because of that, he raised you with his loving wife as his own daughter. And as his daughter, he did not want to commit the same mistakes, although you were nothing like his sister, he always worried about that, sometimes he would be rough on Taehyung when you had your heart broken, because as he always put it ‘your sister is your biggest treasure, she’s your family, she’s your best friend and she is also your responsibility, you have to protect her.’ Which you hated to hear about, and Tae knew it, he knew how much you hated to be always indirectly compared to Nora, the woman who put you in the world.
“We’ll be just fine, don’t worry… let’s just get our things, call the designer to get our furniture ready and let’s make out of this place our new home.”
Tumblr media
“This is a fucking mess… TAEHYUNG, we’re gonna be fucking late, hurry!” You tried to organize all of your school material for your first day of college. Not really the first one, just the first in your new college campus. Since you moved out of the small town both you and Taehyung grew up, you had to transfer to your new school.
Taehyung, as usual, wouldn’t give a damn about being on time, but you, on the other hand, didn’t want to get the last sits of your first class. You still weren’t familiar with the campus, so you didn’t really know how much time it would take for you to find it.
“Sis, please… relax a bit. It’s not cool to be on time on our first day.” He winked at you while munching on his cereal.
“Drop the bad boy attitude; you were a fuck boy in a small town, Tae… I don’t know if you’re going to be so lucky with the girls from here.”
“Ouch! You know I was no fuck boy… I was just not really into relationships.” He said dressing his typical black leather jacket. So cliché you though. “Or did you forget my baby sister doesn’t really let me break anyone’s hearts? Plus, my charm is irresistible to any girl on any part of the world.” He smiled.
“You’re lucky you have such a wonderful baby sister.” You scoffed, finally closing your bag after checking all your material. “I’m a grown up now, Tae. You should drop that nickname.”
“Yeah, not gonna happen.” He put his arm around your shoulder and led you to the exit of your apartment; you’d soon finally start officially your new life.
The campus was tremendously big, and you were a little scared all of a sudden, Tae could sense it when he stopped the car, waiting for you to get out.
“What’s up?” He put a mint gum inside his mouth trying to be sexy for the girls crossing the front of his car, making you roll your eyes.
“Nothing’s up.” You punched his arm slightly.
“You liar. C’mon… Why are you so worked up?”
“I don’t know Tae, look at this place… It’s so big. What if people aren’t that nice?”
“And then you dislike when I call you baby sister… You’re acting silly, again.” He caressed your hair. “You always act like the mature one, but at times like this you show how much of a baby you still are.”
“Oh, shut up. Let’s go already.” You opened the car and got out of it even before Taehyung could blink again. He was not wrong… You were always responsible, but you were also a scared cat. Despite your attitude, deep inside you were always a little scared of things, but you didn’t show it to everyone; as your best friend once told you: ‘don’t let them see, what they don’t need to see’.
“Wait y/n, don’t be so rude to your big brother.” He caught a few freshmen girl’s attention with his deep voice, their giggles caught his attention and soon he was following them and forgetting all about you.
“And there he goes again.” You laughed, forgetting for a few seconds where you were and what you were supposed to do.
“Okay, I can do it.” You breathed in and soon you were walking to the panel containing information about the campus.
Finding your way to your first class was not as difficult as you thought it would be. Luckily your block was one of the first ones of the campus. You were in your second semester of business school, following your dad’s step. But as much as you liked it, your true love was philosophy and as one of the top students of the country, you got into a special program at this campus, allowing you to have philosophy classes as well, even if you pass the test and finish school, you would not have a degree for philosophy though, so you took it just for fun, as your hobby. Taehyung always said you were crazy… he could barely manage his studies with art school, let alone do another one at the same time and just for fun.
You didn’t really have a choice, though. Your father’s business needed to be continued and since Taehyung was following your mother’s steps, you were the chosen one.
Normally in any other family, when Taehyung made it clear to both your mom and dad that he had no intentions in taking over the company, it would’ve been the end of the world. But your parents were different, your family was different. The love your mom had for your dad and for both you and Taehyung was the pillar of your family’s happiness. Since she was a painter, your dad new Taehyung was only following her steps and for him, that alone was incredible. After she died, Taehyung stopped painting, drawing and doing everything he liked; he stopped everything and convincing him to get back to it was not an easy task. But your father and you eventually got him back on his track. On that period of time was when your father first brought the subject up. He wanted you to replace him once it was time, and although you knew it wasn’t your first thing in mind for your future, you could not deny him that… not after everything he had done for you. Not after he raised you with so much love. So there you were, in your calculus class.
What a way to start…
You sat at the first table, trying to avoid unnecessary talk. You weren’t really a talkative girl when it came to strangers. First conversations were way too awkward to handle on your very first day at a new school.
Trying to be unnoticed went really well until your third class of the day, the management one. You sat down on the first table as you did for the last two classes, but this time someone sat there beside you.
“Hello, class. I’m Kim Junmyeon, you can call me whatever you want, Mr. Kim, Professor Junmyeon... After we finish what is programmed for today, you are all pairing up for a project that must be finished before next week…”
The class went crazy after that, of course. What a good way to start having the hate from all the students, you thought.
The handsome guy sitting beside you was one of the few students that didn’t complain at all about the surprise project for next week.
“Ah, you must be the new student, right? I haven’t seen you here before. I’m Seokjin. Jin… as I rather being called.” He gave his hand out for you to shake it, which you found totally weird, but at the same time, cute. He greeted you only after the teacher stopped talking though.
“I’m y/n, nice to meet you, Jin.”  You smiled.
“You resemble my little sister,” Jin said out of nowhere, smiling gently at you. “She has round cheeks too.” He laughed.
“Well, is that a compliment or…” You looked to the whiteboard ahead of you, suddenly shy.
“It means you are cute.” He smiled.
Although it had all the odds to be taken as a flirtation, you knew Jin was just being a cutie pie.  It was nice not having an awkward conversation, you realized maybe not every boy was as futile as the ones you’ve met back home.
The class went smoothly well, just like your conversation with Jin. You found out he was 5 years older than you, this was his second major, the first one being International Relations. He was good with people you could tell. He told you a little bit about his sister and his girlfriend.
You were happy about the entire class, and when it was over, Jin invited you to have lunch with him and his girlfriend.
You were a little concerned about meeting her, so you almost refused. But he guaranteed you she was the sweetest girl alive and that she would love you, just like he did. This made you blush; only giving him more reasons to call you cute.
Tumblr media
“Have I said already how beautiful you are?” That was the first thing Jin said to the girl you suppose was his girlfriend right after arriving at the table in the cafeteria.
She laughed and told him how silly he was, and once he was done pecking her lips, she realized you were there too.
“Oh, I’m sorry I didn’t say hi. Hello, I’m Ellie.” She said smiling. Which you thought was so strange. Where you come from if your boyfriend comes back to you, bringing in a complete stranger, and worse… that stranger being a girl. Well… that was a subject to fight about the whole freaking week, not mentioning how the girlfriend would have made a big scene for everyone to see. So being welcomed like this by Jin’s girlfriend was so nice, that you only wanted to be just as nice to her.
“Oh, you’re saying hi now, so no feelings hurt.” You tried to joke. “I’m y/n, nice to meet you, Ellie. I hope I’m not bothering.” You started to play with your earlobe, something you did whenever you were a little nervous or insecure.
“Nice to meet you too, y/n. Sit down, please.”
At the table there was another boy called Yoongi, as you found out later was Jin’s cousin and also Ellie’s best friend. Jin thought it was outrageous since him and Yoongi had been roommate’s for a few years back on his teens, he thought he deserved the ‘best friend’ tag, but Ellie won Yoongi’s heart better so there was nothing he could do about it. Ellie was talkative, not as much as Jin though… and about Yoongi, well, you were surprised he could talk at all. To be honest, he was a bit scary, his smile was always small and he would never laugh out loud at Jin’s jokes. Which you found odd since you cried because you couldn’t stop laughing. Ellie asked you about your sanity since she was siding with Yoongi about Jin’s jokes. She just couldn’t find them funny at all.
Lunchtime went on nicely, you exchanged a few words with Yoongi; to your surprise, although he looked serious, he also knew how to make jokes. He proved that when they saw one of their friends, the one called Jimin if you were not mistaken, running after the campus’ dog – as they told you, it was a homeless dog that everyone took care of, so he basically lived on campus – because apparently, the dog was carrying his homework paper with his mouth.
Jimin was cute, you thought. His dirty blonde hair fits well with his angelical face, maybe you’d be lucky to properly meet him later; if you and Jin and Ellie continue to hang out after your classes, which you hoped you would. It would be nice to have friends here.
After lunch, you excused yourself from the table and told them you’d like to explore the library. Ellie tried to invite you to go to their house, apparently, Jin and his girlfriend lived together. You tried not to judge, but you couldn’t shake the ‘it’s so soon’ thought out of your head. However, Jin and Yoongi – the latter you didn’t really know why – told her off, saying it was not a good idea. Jin apologized profusely, his ears as red as an apple, so you knew he was being sincere. They had a situation at home that needed to be solved so it wouldn’t be a good idea for you to go there. After realizing what they were both talking about, Ellie apologized and said she would go with you to the library if you wanted, but you also refused, needing some time alone to breathe in the new surroundings. You and Ellie exchanged phone numbers before you said goodbye.
It was a nice morning for the first day, you thought to yourself… and it would be awesome if the day could end just like that.
Tumblr media
“We have a party to attend tonight.” Was the first thing you heard Taehyung say after he saw you at the parking lot. He was leaning against his car while there were two girls in front of him, totally ignoring your existence as they talked to each other. You were actually used to it, all the girls acted like this once you approached Taehyung, and they quickly changed their attitude once they discovered you were his sister, but it was too late for you to be nice to them.
“Oh! Really? I thought I told you before we moved in that you should slow down a bit, didn’t I?”
“Ah, excuse me. But… you two are together?” The redhead girl spoke, with an already furious look on her face, but Taehyung was sometimes too dumb to notice how those girls acted.
“She’s my little sister. Why?” He arched his brows at the girl.
“Oh, she’s your sister?” Both of them turned to you and suddenly smiled brightly at you.
“Yeah, I am, and if you excuse us… I have to talk to my brother in private.” You looked fiercely at them, making Taehyung sigh, already noticing you didn’t like them.
“I’ll see you girls at the party.” He winked and both looked surprised to be dismissed just like that. By the look on their faces, they were probably high up in the rank of ‘popular’ girls on the campus.
Ah, Taehyung… what would you do with your brother?
“Please, don’t even start saying you don’t like them… you never like any girl I’m into.” He scoffed, crossing his arms on his chest.
“Okay, I won’t. But that is not true, I really loved Melissa.” You said, provoking him.
“Come here you little brat…” He started to tickle you in the middle of the parking lot, while you profusely tried to kick his ass.
“Ahem.” A cough made you two stop.
“Oh, Jimin.” Taehyung let go of you, actually looking at you to see if your clothes were all in the right places. After all, he was a protective brother, not as much as your dad would like him to be, but he was good enough. “This is y/n, my sister.”
You smiled shyly at him, finally having a full look at his angelical face, enjoying it a little bit too much.
Jimin smiled back and said hello, making your heart jump a little bit. He was so handsome and so perfect, maybe that was every girl and boy’s reaction after looking directly at his eyes while he smiled.
“Nice to meet you y/n, Tae told me you weren’t pretty… I see he’s heavenly mistaken. Maybe you need glasses Taehyung.” Jimin caught your hand on his, and brought it directly to his lips, like someone in the 50’s would do. But before you could feel his plump lips on your skin, Taehyung took your hand out of his.
“Yah, I told you she’s not a girl for you.” Your brother said seriously, but with a playful gaze on his face.
“Excuse me, but since when do you go talking about me behind my back and even tell people I’m not fit for them?”
“Yeah, Tae. Let her decide if she’s a girl for me or not.” Jimin played, stepping into a dangerous territory, because in the blink of an eye Taehyung punched his stomach playfully, but hard enough for him to feel something.
“That’s not what I mean. There’s nothing for me to decide.” You said cutting him off. He had an angelical face, but by the kind of joke he made, he was just like Taehyung, into every girls’ pants and unfortunately you weren’t cool enough to enjoy your college life like every other person seemed to do. You had some issues about being intimate with strangers; Tae knew that, so that’s why he wasn’t worried about you going to a party, he knew you’d only go, drink, dance and have fun.
“See? She knows you’re not fit for her, Jimin.” Your brother said, making Jimin pout. Even pouting he looked sexy, for god’s sake… that boy was made in heaven. That’s the only explanation you could come up with.
“Ok, so… y/n. Are you coming to my party with your brother?” Jimin gave you a small smile, this time; it was an innocent smile… no second intentions apparent.
“I don’t know…’’ You said honestly. You did have a nice day, you studied hard, as usual, so maybe you did deserve a little fun at night, yet you still wanted to check on the next schedule for tomorrow.
“Of course she’s coming. Someone has to drive my drunken ass back home, right, sis?”
“Right.”
“Then it’s a plan.” Jimin smiled and you noticed how close Tae already was with someone. So close that the guy was already calling him like you did, ever since you were little.
The perks of being sociable, you thought.
“Yeah, it’s a plan.”
Tumblr media
“Are you sure this is the right place?” You asked Taehyung, because honestly? This was just unbelievable.
“Yeah! Look at the address, this is the right place.”
“Okay, but this is absolutely ridiculous. This isn’t even a house… it’s more like a-“
“A fucking mansion? Thought so too!” Taehyung stopped the car behind a black Volvo. “You know what that means, right?” He smiled devilishly at you.
“No, not really.”
“The party is going to rock.” He winked before getting out of the car.
Apparently, Taehyung already met half of the campus, because as soon as you stepped inside the ‘house’ everyone was saying hi to him. You on the other hand… didn’t even recognize a single face.
What were you doing there, to be honest?
Taehyung being the nice brother he always was, he sensed your little discomfort and took you by the hand to where the drinks were. Since you were a lightheaded, just one cup was enough for you to let go a little.
“Drink this, you’ll feel better.’’ He handed you the red cup and drank his shot of tequila, eyeing the place.
“You came.” The manly whisper at your ear startled you, making you jump and cling to Taehyung’s arm.
“Hahaha, chill. It’s just me!” Looking at the source of the voice you saw Jimin, dressed in all black. He was really handsome; there was no way you could deny it.
“You scared me! Don’t do that again.” You slapped his forearm, feeling more comfortable after seeing someone you already knew.
“She’s easy to scare.” Tae said after giving a “bro” hug on Jimin.
“I noticed!” He smiled.
“Where are your friends, y/n?” Taehyung asked.
“They are not exactly my friends, Tae.” You finished drinking your cup of vodka with sprite in one go, desperately trying to get used to this place full of people.
“Your brother and I are long-term friends, did you know that?” Jimin tried to make small talk, trying to make you feel comfortable.
“What?”
“Oh, I forgot to tell her that. Ah, Jimin… keep her company for a while, I gotta talk to someone.” He patted Jimin’s shoulder and messed your hair before going straight to the blonde gazing at him with no shame.
“Again, what?” You were really confused.
“So, Taehyung and I used to play online games together. We found out that when I caught him playing overwatch at the cafeteria. We discovered each other’s usernames and just like that, found out we are friends for 2 years now… in the game, at least.” Jimin gave you another full cup after telling you the news.
“That’s honestly crazy.” You were shocked. Taehyung was so lucky to have a long-term friend in town.
“Yeah, I also think it is.” Jimin suddenly started jumping to the new song and occasionally he scared the shit out of you, making you spill your drink on your blouse.
“Shit, Jimin. Stop scaring me.” You looked serious, but he was laughing at you.
“It’s gonna be fun having you around, y/n. Now go clean yourself. My room is the third one on the left, go upstairs and get yourself a new shirt if you need, I also gotta talk to someone.” He winked at you before going after a girl that you didn’t bother paying attention to her features. You just wanted to change your shirt as fast as possible.
Terrible idea to dress a white one to a freaking college party.
You tried to remember Jimin’s instructions while passing by the huge crowd of people having fun. Two cups and you were already buzzing… honestly, you had to get better at drinking and you had to do it soon.
“Third one on the right.” You kept repeating to not forget. After getting upstairs you were really confused. There were so many doors, on the right, on the left. Going ahead would lead you to two corridors. Jimin was probably talking about the third one on the right corridor, right? Or was he talking about the third one right after you get on the second floor? You decided to try the first option so you turned on the right corridor. There were fewer doors, and the third door was far away from the second. Maybe Jimin liked to be alone, too.
You opened the door slowly and stepped inside, awed by his room. The walls were painted in black and red… The king size bed was neatly made, also all black. There was a huge computer desk on the left side of the bedroom; the desk had three different types of cameras so you automatically presumed he was into photography. Taehyung liked it quite a lot, too.
You went straight to the bathroom inside the bedroom; you took off your shirt and started washing the drink with the vanilla soap on the sink. Such a nice smell, perhaps Jimin had a good taste for things.
After washing your shirt, you left it at the sink to dry; you could get it later, so you went to Jimin’s wardrobe to find something to wear. Inside it you saw a bunch of black and white ones. A few red and yellow; almost no colorful ones. It suits your taste, you thought. You also liked basic things.
Suddenly you felt a chill down your spine and you covered your chest with your arms, still looking for a nice shirt to wear. After picking a black one with “cooler than you” written on it, you turned around to dress, finally finding why all of a sudden there was a chilling wind going through the bedroom.
“I see you like my shirt, but it’s not nice to break into someone’s bedroom without permission.” A guy taller than Jimin was looking at you, his hair was black and it was parted a little, showing a bit of his forehead; he was also bigger than Jimin in terms of chest and shoulders. He was wider, perhaps hotter. He had big round eyes and his forearm veins were calling for your attention.
“I-I-I am so sorry.” You stuttered.
“Mind explaining why you’re shirtless inside my bedroom? Am I missing something?” His small smile along with his remark reminded you that your chest was on full display for him.
“Don’t freaking look at me!” You yelled suddenly turning around, leaving only your small back for him to see.
“Well, it’s not like I want to… You weren’t wearing a shirt, not my fault.” He laughed humorlessly. “Again, do you mind to explain? I don’t recall having scheduled a date tonight.”
“Oh my god, no! It’s nothing like that. I don’t even fucking know you.” You were exasperated with his insinuations. “I just needed a new shirt because mine got vodka on it and it was a white shirt. That’s all.”
“Okay. So… why are you not facing me? I’ve seen a chest before, you know.” He laughed. You heard his chair squeak, so you presumed he sat down at the computer desk, completely enjoying your embarrassment.
“Not mine. And I’d like it to be kept like that.” You sighed, that situation was ridiculous. “Look, I’ll borrow your shirt and I’ll give it back later.” You didn’t even wait for a reply; you just started to dress it up.
“Sure.” He simply replied, amused by the whole situation.
Once you weren’t only wearing your bra, you turned around and saw his playful smile plastered on his face. What an idiot.
“What is your name, shirtless girl?”
“Why should I tell you my name?”
“Well, you are now wearing something that’s mine. I could’ve said no and you would still be a shirtless girl. How about that?” He joked.
“It’s y/n.” You crossed your arms, sighing.
“Nice to meet you, y/n. I’m Jungkook.” After shuffling on his sit, he got up and turned the lights on, something you didn’t realize was off until now. The only light turned on was the bathroom one. Maybe he wasn’t a complete asshole, maybe he realized what was happening and that’s why he didn’t turn it on right after catching you going through his things. “How did you get here inside this room?”
“Uh, actually… I was looking for Jimin’s room. He said it was… well, I don’t remember now.” You kept answering him, although you could have left already. Something about his aura drew you in, something about him was making you curious.
“So you are his girl for the night?”
“What? No! What? No. No. No, it’s not like that. He’s my brother’s friend. I just met him… it’s nothing like that!” You panicked.
“Hey, chill! It’s not a crime to be with someone.” He laughed at your reaction. “Why are you so worked up? Even if you weren’t with Jimin, any other girl if handed the chance would say she’s with him.”
“I’m not any other girl, okay? I don’t like when people misunderstand things.” You said lowly; suddenly feeling bad again for not being able to party hard like the others could. You turned around and walked to the big window he had. Looking at the forest you imagine how good it would be to walk there in the daylight. You always enjoyed nature, you were the only one in the family to actually enjoy being in the middle of nowhere because that’s where this mansion was situated. Taehyung hated it. He said it was too scary to get inside a forest… and although you were the scared cat, for this kind of things you were totally fearless.
“Is this forest only inside your residence, or is there a part of it that’s public?” You asked him, still staring at the trees.
“Why? Are you telling me you’d like to go inside that?” He scoffed, mocking you.
“I’d love to!” You said it with so much passion that you convinced Jungkook in one go. You were definitely not scared, and that was definitely not good.
“No, you wouldn’t. Stay away from that forest!” Jungkook said firmly, making you turn back around to face him.
“What?” You couldn’t believe this guy you barely met was giving you orders.
“I told you to stay away from that forest and I mean it.” His fierce eyes suddenly sparkled with a reddish tone and you were surprised. Maybe two cups of vodka were your limit, maybe next time you shouldn’t drink at all.
“I know you’re trying to scare me, but stop… you failed.”
“I warned you… now get out of my room.” Was all he said and being caught by surprise with his rude remark made you blushed immediately; suddenly you dropped your attitude and came back to being shy, but as your friend said ‘don’t let them see what they don’t need to see’, so you put on a façade again.
“Sorry about invading your room.” And after that, you left almost running, feeling a little suffocated by his presence.
You didn’t know what about him made you feel like that, his strong personality, his fierce eyes, his tall figure, you didn’t understand at all, but Jungkook had caught your attention and that was dangerous. Just like that forest.

A Look at Galaxy Angel II/3rd Manga Vol. 4
A bit of background info:
The Galaxy Angel manga series is comprised of three manga collections/stories in all--Galaxy Angel (five volumes), Galaxy Angel Beta/2 (three volumes), and Galaxy Angel II/3rd (six volumes). Galaxy Angel II/3rd covered the basic plot of the GA II game series, and features a new set of girls and a new male main character.
The entire Galaxy Angel manga series was being translated by Broccoli Books USA. Unfortunately, while they were in the middle of translating the Galaxy Angel II manga (called Galaxy Angel 3rd in Japan), the company was dissolved. So as of this date, only the first three volumes of this particular series exists in English.
It took me a few years, but I eventually managed to get a hold of the remaining three volumes (in Japanese) from the Mandarake online store. I’ll showcase some photos and make an attempt at some sort of summary for these last few volumes...
Starting with volume 4.
Tumblr media
(As a note, all of my future posts relating to these volumes will be tagged with “galaxy angel 2 manga” on my blog.)
I am not going to make dedicated posts to the first three officially translated volumes (because I don’t have the time for that); but I’ll give a brief summary here because the manga’s story is significantly different to the game in some parts.
Volume 1:
Most of the former Angel Troupe/Angel-tai members have either retired or moved on to other military positions and are now spread out over Eden and Neue--with Neue being a new galaxy that was just discovered.
Eden and Neue are connected by a space called the Absolute, and that is connected to a Gate (appears as a giant ring in space) that has to be opened by a gatekeeper--who happens to be Milfeulle.
The people from Eden are trying to restore Neue, and bring more advanced technology to its people.
Kazuya (a Neue native) has been picked randomly by Milfeulle to be a member of the new Angel-tai/Angel troupe.
He’s the first male member to the team and is welcomed aboard the Luxiole by Apricot.
The next few chapters deal with Kazuya meeting the rest of the crew that are currently on the Luxiole (Nano-nano, Kahlua/Tequila, and the mechanics, medical staff, and other staff).
The Angel-tai’s main goal currently is to find other gatekeepers--as Milfeulle is the only known gatekeeper and is thus trapped within the Absolute for the time being (in a structure called the “central globe”). Apricot and Takuto (who is officially Milfeulle’s husband in the manga), really want to free her from what is essentially a prison.
Anyway, Kazuya is the designated pilot of a ship called “Braveheart,” whose purpose is to merge with the other Angels’ ships and boost their power levels.
Anise makes her debut by stealing the Braveheart and Nano somehow gets kidnapped as well in the process.
Volume 2:
The Luxiole gets an S.O.S message from Milfeulle but it cuts out before she can really say anything.
Anise and Nano are rescued from a fleet of enemy ships commanded by a woman named Dieta--and the Braveheart is taken back. Takuto commands the Luxiole to head towards the planet of Seldor, which is the planet closest to the Gate and the Absolute that Milfeulle is in.
The next two chapters following this scenario focuses on how Kazuya is beginning to develop feelings for Apricot and how he wants her to see him as a man (as Apricot currently just sees him as a replacement for her older sister, Milfeulle).
The next chapter after THAT has Anise becoming an official member of the Angel-tai to pay off her huge debt to Mint.
We get a sneak peek at Lily, who still has yet to join the rest of the Angels onboard the Luxiole.
Volume 3:
The volume begins with Forte staging a coup d'etat. She has taken both the Absolute and the planet Seldor (and King Soldum), and claims that she’s doing this because the Neue citizens have been “babied” for too long. Because Forte's attacking them with her fleet, Takuto and co. have to make an escape using chrono drive.
At Anise’s suggestion, they all resolve to visit the planet Magiic to gain supplies and allies.
En-route to Magiic, they need to make a stop at planet Pico and Femto to heal up Nano-Nano, who used up all her nanomachines healing people in the aftermath of Forte’s attack.
They manage to pick up Lily, also enroute to Magiic. She explains that Forte led the coup to prevent casualties to the hostages: the planet of Seldor and King Soldum.
Kahlua’s past is hinted at in this volume.
The gang make it to Magiic safely; but while they are touring a city on the planet, Dieta indirectly causes a building fire. This triggers traumatic memories in Kahlua and she has to be sedated and put into an emergency pod.
Now that we’ve gotten those out of the way, it’s finally time to delve into Volume 4!!!
DISCLAIMER 1: I do not know Japanese at all so a lot of these “summaries” will be based on info I’ve gathered from the translated volumes that were officially released; as well as the Galaxy Angel fan wikia. I don’t claim any sort of plot accuracy in these posts, I merely wanted to give a brief run-down (as best as I can) of what happens in these volumes.
DISCLAIMER 2: I do not want to scan these volumes for fear of damaging the binding, so I’ve only taken photos. I’m not a professional photographer and don’t have a nice fancy camera so these photos are not so great. Due to my work schedule and life stuff that I need to take care of, I don’t have the time to touch these up beyond resizing and cropping them. Sorry.
~Chapter 16~
Following directly from the events at the end of volume 3, volume 4 opens up with Dieta infiltrating the emergency pod Kahlua was put in. She exposes Kahlua to some sort of powder (I’m assuming it’s some strong alcohol-based chemical), which turns her into Tequila. Dieta then curses her by marking Tequlia with some sort of magical rune.
Tumblr media
Ranpha (who the other Angel-tai members met on Magiic) finally meets up with Takuto and they have some kind of conversation; most likely relating to negotiations with the Magiic forces. Ranpha is now the ambassador on planet Magiic, so she would be the best person to convince the Magiic forces to ally with the Luxiole.
Tumblr media
MEANWHILE, Kahlua/Tequila has been transferred to the Luxiole’s infirmary. She’s currently unconscious and everyone’s worried about her. The Angel-tai eventually leave so that Kazuya can watch over Tequila alone, as he was the one who saved her from the burning building.
Kazuya begins talking to the unconscious Tequila, apparently musing about how he saw Tequila (or some kind of apparition of her) appear to protect Kahlua when they were trapped in the fire. I think Kazuya also wonders about the bond between Kahlua and Tequila (or about how the split personality developed).
Tequila suddenly wakes up! But the curse Dieta puts on her activates and Tequila loses control of her powers and starts burning everything, including Kazuya.
Tumblr media
Mimolette (Kahlua/Tequila’s cat familiar) jumps in at this point to place a protective shield around Kazuya... and an apparition of Kahlua materializes. Kahlua and Tequila converse, and Tequila somehow manages to calm down and overcome the curse put on her. Her clothes got burned off in the process, so Kazuya lends Tequila his jacket. Apricot walks in on the two in a... very compromising position and immediately walks away, much to Kazuya’s distress.
~Chapter 17~
Suddenly, everyone gets called to the Bridge--Dieta’s fleet has appeared and everyone gets ready to fight. Kazuya and Tequila arrive with Tequila still naked with only Kazuya’s jacket covering her, which causes Apricot to glare angrily at Kazuya.
Tumblr media
Anyway, Kazuya and the rest of the Angel-tai fly out and prepare for battle. Dieta formally introduces herself to Takuto and co. (The weird cropping here is because Dieta’s outfit is super fanservicey and I don’t wanna get accidentally flagged.)
Tumblr media
Kazuya’s ship merges with Tequila’s Emblem Frame (the Spell Caster) and there’s a big space battle. The merged ship is able to basically take out Dieta’s flagship (which Dieta is on). Tequila briefly remembers her magic battle with Dieta on planet Magiic. I mostly just took a photo of this page because it shows off Tequila’s cool outfit.
Tumblr media
Tequila shows absolutely no mercy and completely obliterates Dieta’s ship... Everyone is happy that this threat is now gone, but Kazuya seems kind of shocked by Tequila’s actions. (Probably because it was so violent?)
Tumblr media
Sometime later after the battle, Kazuya goes to the Luxiole’s park to relax. He meets with Tequila there, still wearing his jacket. Kazuya asks for his jacket back in annoyance, and the two somehow get to talking. Tequila reveals that Kahlua suffered a traumatic moment in her youth. She had tried to show off some fire magic to a friend named Mimolette (yes, it’s the same spelling as the name for her cat familiar); but Kahlua ended up scaring her friend away because of how powerful she was.
Tumblr media
After this event, Kahlua was so mentally distraught that she developed a separate personality (Tequila) to cope. This personality ended up being the only one capable of using Kahlua’s magic well.
Back in the present, Tequila still seems upset about something (probably worried that people are scared of her because of her magic powers) and Kazuya reassures her. Tequila then jumps on top of Kazuya (as he’s lying on the grass) and teases him... but then suddenly transforms back into Kahlua, who does not remember anything that happened. Apricot again catches the two in a compromising position, but this time Apricot beats up Kazuya for it.
~Chapter 18~
Somewhere in the Luxiole, Croix and Coronet (the mechanics) end up finding some kind of fancy looking white Emblem Frame. (I have no idea where they found it or how.)
Tumblr media
The story then switches right into a dream that Apricot is having. She dreams about her older sister Milfeulle baking sweets... who then transforms into Kazuya. Kahlua and Tequila then appear by his side, and Apricot wakes from her dream with tears in her eyes. She begins to wonder about how she really feels about Kazuya. Does she still think of him as merely a replacement for her sister?
Tumblr media
Everyone gets called to the Bridge where Takuto reveals some good news: Ranpha seems to have managed to convince the people of Magiic to lend their aid to the Luxiole.
(And she also looks beautiful on this page)
Tumblr media
Apricot and Tequila end up talking things out, while Kazuya and Anise hang out in the hangar to marvel at the fancy new Emblem Frame. Kazuya suddenly feels compelled to touch the ship and it reacts to him, opening up to reveal an injured girl.
Tumblr media
She’s taken to the infirmary (where I assume she’s healed up by Nano Nano) and Takuto calls everyone to the briefing room to talk about the girl and the mystery ship. Nano Nano says some things about what she’s found out about the mysterious girl but I don’t understand any of it because I don’t know Japanese.
SUDDENLY Tequila and Apricot show up, in switched outfits/hairstyles. I’m assuming this is all Tequila’s attempt to pull Apricot out of her funk or get Kazuya and Apricot together. Tequila uses her magic to shove Apricot onto Kazuya and that goes about as well as you would expect.
Tumblr media
~Chapter 19~
Mystery girl has woken up and is now hiding out in the park. For some reason surrounded by piggies.
Tumblr media
Judging by the sudden increase in complex shading, this is most likely a colored page in the magazine (that this chapter was originally published in) that unfortunately got reduced to a grayscale printing in the volume release. Anyway I did find a color version of this picture on some sort of trading card thing so here you go:
Tumblr media
(It’s more apparent on a later manga cover, but mystery girl’s hair is silver--and her eyes are red.)
Anyway, we switch perspectives to Takuto and Kazuya. Kazuya is being grilled by Takuto because Takuto is curious about who the younger man likes. Takuto (correctly) guesses that it’s Apricot and Kazuya gets flustered and leaves.
Kazuya still feels bad or guilty (somehow) about the unfortunate circumstances with Kahlua/Tequila before, and decides to make some apology treats for Apricot. He finds her in the park, where Apricot has found the mystery girl sleeping.
Tumblr media
Kazuya and Apricot talk to each other about... something. They accidentally wake up the mystery girl.
*insert a SCENE CHANGE here*
Honestly, from here on out I barely understand what’s going on because this whole sidestory is a manga original story so. Bear with me here.
Mystery girl does some magic techno stuff before formally introducing herself to the Angel-tai. (And she looks really cool doing so)
Tumblr media
Her name is Mimoza and she’s supposedly a gal from the past... and I only know this thanks to the next manga preview blurb at the end of volume 3, for the never officially translated and released volume 4.
Tumblr media
I think Mimoza starts telling the Angel-tai about her history and her travels or something... Anyway she mentions aliens. Not sure if she met with them or if she actually worked under them.
Tumblr media
She then dramatically points out Kazuya because he’s special or something. And they are linked to each other through the Braveheart. Or something. I have no idea.
Tumblr media
While Kazuya stays behind in the hangar to talk some more with Mimoza, the rest of the Angel-tai regroup with Takuto who asks the group if they consider Kazuya to be an important part of the team.
Mimoza then pushes Kazuya off the ledge either for funsies or for *dramatic effect* because she immediately saves him afterwards.
Tumblr media
~Chapter 20~
(I hope tumblr’s resizing doesn’t destroy the quality of this photo further)
Tumblr media
Without informing anyone, Kazuya and Mimoza fly out in Mimoza’s Emblem Frame to a nearby planet (Planet Cocoon)--which also coincidentally happens to be Mimoza’s home planet from I think 600 years ago. The entire planet has become a desert with some ruins scattered about.
After Kazuya brushes some sand off the ground, he manages to activate some sort of magic circle or portal.
Tumblr media
Back on the Luxiole, I think the rest of the Angel-tai finally realize that Kazuya is missing. They also come to realize that they do consider Kazuya to be an important part of their team. And so they head out in their respective Emblem Frames to find Kazuya.
Back on the desert planet, Kazuya and Mimoza find themselves in an underground cavern.
Tumblr media
Whilst traversing the caverns, Mimoza tells Kazuya about how she was separated from (I’m assuming) someone she was in love with; due either to a catastrophe or due to some invading forces. And she ended up (I guess) in some kind of time warp which sent her to the future.
Tumblr media
Kazuya and Mimoza eventually discover a ship in the depths of the caverns, that looks almost exactly like Kazuya’s Braveheart. Mimoza is saddened when she finds the cockpit empty.
Tumblr media
Mimoza and Kazuya then part ways here, as Mimoza decides to use this newly discovered ship to try going back to the past.
Kazuya then tries to make his way out of the caverns only to be chased by some kind of fearsome monster--which gets obliterated by Tequila.
Tumblr media
The other Angel-tai members appear and there’s a happy reunion scene as they all return back to the Luxiole together.
Annnnd volume 4 ends there.
Bonus illustration page featuring Mimoza:
Tumblr media
I will hopefully be able to get the posts of volume 5 and 6 out soon. This one was a beast of a post but only because I had to get all of the background info out of the way first.
See you next time!

Swipe Right part 9/10
part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4, part 5, part 6, part 7, part 8, can be found on AO3 here
Woah, we’re nearly done guys! I’ve become so attached to my guys, I don’t know if I’m quite ready to let them go! At least I have one more chapter with them. I hope you enjoy this next chapter :)
The soft whoosh of the opening automatic door invited Davey into a coffee scented haven. He stepped through and allowed the door to close behind him, as he spotted Jack sitting at their regular table. Taking a deep breath to steel his nerves, he headed over to the vacant chair and the cup with “Davey” scrawled across it. Jack put down the cup he was taking a sip from as Davey walked over, and stood to greet him.
“Dave, hey.” The boys stood in front of each other for a second too long, awkwardness thick in the air. Until Jack pulled Davey in for a half-hearted one armed hug and a trademark Jack Kelly smile. Davey allowed a hint of a smile dance across his lips before dropping into the seat with Jack following suit.
“I’m assuming there’s no coffee in this?” Davey asked, gesturing towards the drink that was presumably his.
Shaking his head in reply, Jack noted, “none at all, it is pure hot chocolatey goodness.” He had no idea how he could have a crush on a guy who avoids coffee like the plague, but here he was; buying hot chocolates and paying extra for marshmallow syrup when said crush wasn’t paying attention.
“Flick me a text with your bank details, I’ll pay you back.” Davey took a sip from the cup and gulped it down, the warmth spreading through his chest felt like true bliss.
“I will not do that because this is my treat,” Jack said indignantly, and when Davey looked ready to protest Jack cut him off by asserting that it was no big deal. Davey huffed and looked down at his drink, not pushing it any further. “But one thing that I owe you Dave, is an apology. It was rude of me to make you leave yesterday after I was the one that invited you over. It was a real dick move and I hope you can forgive me for that.”
Davey looked up from the various scrawls on his coffee cup to see the honesty and vulnerability in Jack’s eyes. It was the first time that Jack had truly worn his heart on his sleeve around Davey, and he hoped that he could see more of this side of the artist.
“Of course I forgive you Jack. I just hope Katherine was worth ditching me for!” Davey leaned over the table to give Jack’s shoulder a playful shove, eliciting laughter from the pair.
“Yeah yeah, she was actually pretty cool,” Davey tried to ignore the squeezing feeling in his chest as Jack talked, focusing instead on the reassurance that Crutchie gave him last night . “We were chatting about her overbearing parents, and how she moved out to college to get away from them. She even told me about this girl she has her eye on in her art history class… get this, she’s had a crush on her since the first week right, and she saw this mystery girl on tinder, but swiped left because she was too scared! What an idiot, right?!”
Davey couldn’t ignore the sigh of relief he let out under his breath - Katherine wasn’t interested in Jack at all, there was no need to get so upset. Well, that’s always easier to see in hindsight, and Davey knew he had a penchant for overreacting. He mumbled an agreement to Katherine’s foolishness, and both boys took swigs from their drinks.
“So Jack,” Davey started, placing down his cup and leaning back to into his chair, “anyone else I should know about?” He cocked an eyebrow, trying to toe the line between playful and flirty - but going by Jack’s snort into his cup, he failed miserably.
“Not at the moment Davey, but there is this one really cute guy who I buy hot chocolates for on occasion, and sometimes I manage to sneak marshmallow into them when he’s not looking…” A grin split across Jack’s face as a look of shocked disbelief graced Davey’s. A moment ago a smile tugged at the corners of his mouth hearing Jack’s confession that he wasn’t seeing anyone else, but it quickly morphed into a caricature of what a shocked southern belle would look like.
“I knew it!” Davey punctuated his sentence by slapping his hand on the table, “I knew I could taste marshmallow in here, you scoundrel!”
The week after Jack’s apology was the final week of classes for the academic year, and the idea of summer stretching out in front of duo was far too enticing. Except for Davey’s final exams and Jack’s final presentations. Davey spent this final week in a blind panic about handing in his final assignments, scribbling down every single exam hint his teachers gave him in class, and doubting that he had even learnt the material he had spent weeks writing study notes for. Jack, on the other hand, spent the week locked in his room painting, drawing, and interpretative dancing his way into being a food and sleep deprived mess.
They were only saved by their occasional catch ups to keep them sane. Running into each other as they crossed campus to go to classes, Davey walking Jack home on Tuesday because, ‘it’s only a 10 minute walk away, and I need the exercise (and to spend time with you)’, and in the library’s group study space on Friday afternoon, when they had officially finished classes for the year.
Breathing a sigh of relief as they flopped down into their seats, the boys looked at each other with disbelief.
“We’re done! I can’t quite believe it.” Davey huffed in response to Jack’s incredulous statement of finality.
“No, you’re done. I still have four exams. Not all of us are be fine arts students who can chuck paper into a bin for five minutes as a final assessment for a dance class - it didn’t even have any dancing!” The journalism student was still reeling from Jack’s news that he got an A- on his Dance and Interdisciplinarity assignment, which was just a glorified public version of taking the trash out.
“That’s the beauty of interdisciplinarity Dave, I made a blanket statement about how we’re taught that wasting paper is wrong, so I ripped up a whole text book and chucked it in the recycling bin piece by piece - the oxymoron of modern education, as my teacher put it. He loved it!” Davey groaned and hit his head on the table. How he was struggling through his assignments comparing American and British journalism, barely scraping a B, and Jack was doing this bullshit and pulling easy As was beyond him. Was it too late to change his major?
A lightbulb went off in Davey’s head about how he could change this infuriating topic, and he followed it. “Hey, I’ve been noticing a lot more paint on you in the past week or so. I didn’t think you were taking a painting course this semester?”
Jack entered panic stations - he had finally finished painting his drawing of Davey onto a canvas for his final project, but he obviously couldn’t let said subject know that. He mumbled out some excuse about needing to paint to take away from the stress of his drawing project. Davey had seen all his little paintings scattered around his apartment, and Jack hoped that he bought the lame excuse. He did, but of course he started asking about it in true Davey fashion.
“Have you seen anyone else for it since the weekend?” Davey’s eyes were cast downwards - even though the duo had talked about Jack ditching him for Katherine, he was still a little insecure about it. Or maybe embarrassed for the way he acted? Either way, he didn’t look like he truly wanted to be talking to Jack about it.
“Nah, not really. There was this guy I briefly met and did a tiny little sketch of, but since we’re displaying them tomorrow, I didn’t really have time to do any other drawings after Katherine.”
“Wait, you’re being assessed tomorrow?! And I haven’t even seen mine yet?!” Davey appeared to be genuinely shocked, thinking that he’d at least be able to see how he was being presented to the world; he did tell Jack some very personal things, after all.
Jack rubbed awkwardly at the nape of his neck, feeling like a young child being chastised for not telling his mother about a permission slip that had to be signed for the following day. “I mean, you’re not alone - nobody is seeing theirs until tomorrow, and I’ve invited all my subjects to come to the showing.” Knowing that the next thing Davey was going to say was that he hadn’t been invited, Jack continued. “And before you say anything, I didn’t invite you because I don’t want you to be just another subject, Davey. I, well I….”
Jack’s voice trailed off into space as psyched himself up to actually say what he had been planning this whole week.
“Dave, I want you to be my date.”
Davey’s eyes widened in surprise, he really didn’t expect Jack to ask him that, at all. But knowing Jack, he tried to keep it lighthearted.
“You mean like a study date? Or like an actual-“
“An actual date-date, Dave.” The artist visibly cringed at the accidental alliteration, but the sincerity of his voice cut through it all. Davey couldn’t help but feel his heart speed up at the idea - their first non-coffee or “study” date; but a date in its own right.
His head started nodding before he managed to murmur out, “yeah, okay, that… that sounds great.” Jack’s damned infectious smile spread between the two of them - Davey even let out a little giggle that he will vehemently deny doing until his grave.
“The student gallery at the fine art school opens at 7:30, and everyone’s been asked to get there at 7.” Jack started fishing around in his bag, and brandished a piece of paper towards Davey, which he grabbed. “The dress code is smart casual, and all the info listed on this invite here. But since this is a date, I’ll pick you up at 5 and we’ll go for dinner before heading to the gallery, does that work for you?”
If this is what true happiness felt like, Davey couldn’t be more thrilled. Here he was, being asked out on a date by the guy he had a huge crush on - he couldn’t believe it! Jack had changed so much for him, he no longer sat cooped up at how with Crutchie, doing nothing but studying and watching documentaries. He was going out to an art gallery to see a drawing of himself and other fascinating people, all thanks to a simple right swipe. On his way home he was going to pick up Crutchie’s favourite snacks and wine to thank him for pushing him into this incredible situation that he didn’t have the balls to do himself. Thank god (and Crutchie) for tinder.
“That works perfectly, Jack. I can’t wait.”

TNER prompt: Snape helping Harriet with girly stuff, hair, dress, make-up...
i wanted to have this for harriet’s birthday, but 5 days late is better than none, ey?
also, even though i have been a girl for 30 plus years, i put on makeup once in a blue moon. some of the descriptions are me going “uhh so how does that work again??”
--
“I’m not so sure about this,” Harriet said.
Severus’ hands didn’t pause in their mixing. “We can always fake a drastic, sudden illness.”
“Don’t I wish,” she said gloomily. “Fine. Let’s get it over with.”
“The only ball you’ve been to,” he said as he reached for a slender brush, “you did not have me for a partner.”
She smiled, pleased with the change in more ways than one. “You going to terrify all the reporters into submission?”
“The reporters are under strict injunction to behave themselves.” He swirled the brush tip into the goop he’d been working on, gathering the shadowy substance – really quite like a shadow, shifting greys and blacks and blues and greens. “They will wait in a separate room until they are permitted entrance into the ballroom. Close your eyes – this will be easier if your lids aren’t moving.”
Harriet obeyed and tried to hold still. The brush tip was cool and wet, and it tickled softly. Severus swept it over her lid, up to her eyebrow, then returned and concentrated in the hollows of her bones. It felt soothing, really.
“They are permitted to film your opening speech, but not to ask questions until the appointed time. I will be enforcing it, though in this, at least, I trust the Aurors to do their job.” He said ‘trust’ the way he might’ve said ‘they’ll regret it if they don’t.’
Eyes still shut, she groaned. “You had to remind me about the speech.”
“If you like, I can remove the memory until you arrive at the ball,” he said coolly.
The brush disappeared from her eye, and then another, with a narrower tip – she could feel the tapered point – returned, tracing along the edge of her lashes. The few times she’d tried to apply liner herself, her eyelid kept wiggling and the line went all over the place. Severus had an iron-steady hand.
“Where’d you learn how to do this?” she asked, barely moving her lips, as if they might mess him up.
“Trade secrets,” he said with an edge of sarcasm that she recognized as playful. He was tracing her other eye now.
Smiling would probably mess up his line. “Spies have to know all kinds of crazy things, I reckon.”
“Secrets, Harriet. Open your eyes – I’ll do the lower lid, now.”
She risked a glance in the mirror. The eye makeup he’d used – a very expensive kind he knew from Narcissa Malfoy, she’d found out – adapted to her skin tone and made her eyes greener than ever. He’d blended perfectly: her eyes looked like they’d been done by a professional. She tried not to move so as not to mess up the line he was tracing on the outer edge of her eye.
“And after the speeches?” she said. They’d gone over all this before, but it was helping to quell the nervous hippogriff in her stomach, to be reminded.
“After the speeches, they may quietly observe. To approach you, they will need to have applied for permission beforehand, and you may still refuse. They may speak to you individually for only two minutes total. All pictures must receive the permission of yourself or your guard before they are taken or allowed to leave the ballroom.”
She knew who her guard was: Severus, Hermione, Tonks, and Kingsley’s hand-picked Aurors. Hermione and Severus had agreed that some press was necessary at the first official celebration following the end of the war, and had set about arranging it with ruthless efficiency. Harriet wasn’t happy about reporters being anywhere near her, but she reckoned Hermione and Severus knew best when it came to political things. And she knew neither of them would be any happier about reporters hounding her, either.
Well – Hermione wouldn’t. From that slight, cruel smile touching his mouth as he finished up her eyes, Harriet knew that Severus was just waiting for someone to slip up. He’d probably got all the documents arranged so that whatever he did in retaliation was legally defensible.
“The sudden illness still sounds pretty good,” she said. “Or a sudden disappearance, to Mongolia, maybe. I don’t mind reporters speculating about me if they’re on another continent.”
“If you wish,” he said, with a kind of idle promise that was still a promise, as he picked up another jar of makeup whose purpose she didn’t even know. “It can be arranged.”
While he brushed touches of powder across her cheekbones and the top of her forehead, she wistfully imagined just running off, the two of them together, and sending Hermione a postcard by Muggle post. If only.
“Would be nice,” she said, smiling at him in the mirror.
It was weird seeing his hair clean – shiny, even. He’d holed himself up in the bathroom to fix it, and it fell in a straight sheet almost to his shoulders. His robes were more of that black material that sucked in light and cut close to his wrists and shoulders before falling in heavy folds to the floor. They gave him the appearance of being larger than he was, though he was so good at projecting menace that people forgot he was skinny as a rake and not even very tall.
“But I suppose if we’ve faced Dark Lords and all, we shouldn’t whinge about a public ball. Even if it’s got reporters running all over it.”
“Certainly the Dark Lord was worse,” he said smoothly, capping the powder. “Though I wouldn’t put money on your preferring a cabal of Dark wizards to crash the place.”
“Well, I don’t know.” She smiled up at him. His eyelid flickered, and he pretended to be checking his work, reaching up to tweak one of her curls. The lingering touch as he smoothed it back into place said everything he pretended to hide. “Unlike the Yule Ball, this time I’ve got a proper date.”
“And have finally learnt to dance.”
“Thanks to you on that, too,” she said cheerfully.
Standing, she shook out her skirt. She’d gone with dark green, this time. From practice, she knew the dress would spin out magnificently when she twirled. If she had to dance in front of half the wizarding world and its press, she was going to bloody well have fun. They’d won the war, Severus was with her – and it was her birthday.
“All ready?” she said, holding her arms out for inspection.
Severus looked her over with a critical eye (and his focus reminded her, though he most likely hadn’t intended it to, that this was going to be a long night in some ways that were better than others). He tucked a seam down along her shoulder, though she wasn’t sure anything had really been wrong with it.
“I have complete faith in you,” he said, with dismissive sincerity.
“That could mean anything,” she said, grinning as she reached up to take his hand. “Complete faith that I’ll lose it and punch a reporter, that I’ll trip on my hem, that I’ll drop wine all over the white dress of some visiting diplomat–”
“Yes,” he said blandly, accepting her hand. “All of that is quite possible.”
She laughed, because her happiness couldn’t be contained by a smile.

 Story behind…
There is a story, not like once-up-on-a-time, but about the inspiration around the unstoppable Hype.Buzz Light Year backpack.
Let’s talk about the morning of #DisneyxHype launching. Hype. have a team around 40 staff members, from designers to social, logistics to accounts that work from Leicester office.
Hype. didn’t officially have a specific time of when the collection would launch on our website, but we knew the day. Our Instagram DM’s came flooding in with from Disney and HYPE. fans about what time the collection was launching – this was the largest anticipation build-up of any collaboration we’ve done to date. Hype. knew from then this was going to be major.
The excitement built as soon as we all stepped foot into HYPE. HQ, with the amount of unique website visitors and everything social being circulated.
Boom. The collection went live, all social announcements went live!
The Buzz backpack was added to every single website users’ basket. And just like that, it sold out in 12 minutes.
Twelve Minutes. More than 1500 backpacks sold!
Hype. have just launched a second drop of the Buzz Lightyear Backpack, with 2,000 backpacks up for grabs.
Ok, now move on to the design side and where the inspiration came from.
Growing up, everyone wants a Rocket shaped backpack, in other words who doesn’t want to travel to the moon.
When the senior designers were briefed about the collection, you could say they were more nervous than excited. The pressure was on to create a killer stand-out collection of Backpacks, dad caps and pencil cases. Collection was also famous for boys’ school bags, kids school bags and girls school bags.
To prep for this task, the team researched hours into Disney and narrowed down characters to select the ones that stood out and meant something to them.
The Buzz Backpack was created after one of the designers of Hype. spent a Sunday morning watching the Toy Story franchise back-to-back with his children. We’ll let you in on a little secret, his children asked why Buzz didn’t come in the ‘ship box’ in real life. And the idea rocketed from there.
And the super like collection of Hype. bags will let to say this- Woohoo, we want one for us, too!

Tumblr media
Scrolling through Twitter one afternoon, I stumbled upon an amazing little feature by blogger Liam McNally – he had posted a text post with a number of different film titles from each year of his life. Bloody brilliant.
So I’ve decided to give it a go. I’ve been on this wonderful planet for almost 19 years now, and although I wasn’t alive for the release of Jurassic Park, there have been a fair few phenomenal films in my lifetime.
This is my longest post to date – I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. (2730 words – bloody hell).
  1998: Pleasantville
Oh my God. I didn’t realise how difficult this post was until I searched ‘1998 films’ into Google. The Trueman Show, Saving Private Ryan and The Wedding Singer all in the one year? God, anyone alive and kicking back then must have been having the best year of their lives.
But despite the 10 minute long decision process, I’ve decided on Pleasantville. I watched it when I was very young and hadn’t ever worn a bra, much less watched anything like that bath scene. Despite my mortified eyes however, the film will always be one of my favourites. I remember seeing the main character for the first time and just constantly thinking god, this is a weird film for Spiderman and Elle Woods to be in.
  1999: 10 Things I Hate About You
Again, this year is bloody difficult. The Iron Giant, The Mummy and Toy Story 2 – they just don’t make films like them anymore. Although I wasn’t a fan of Star Wars Episode 1 – it has to be one of my least favourites. Anyway.
10 Things I Hate About You was one of the first chick-flicks I ever watched. I knew Heath Ledger as ‘the strangely cute singing guy from that movie’ before I knew him as the Joker. I felt like I related to Kat – I wasn’t big on getting a boyfriend, and I was pretty much destined to be a wee bit strange since birth. Plus her name is so cool.
  2000: X-Men
At the time of watching, I was right into Harry Potter. I loved the idea of special schools dedicated to supernatural people – it made my own secondary school even more boring. I’d often just sit in class and daydream about being able to fly or have the ability to imitate people.
But in all honesty, the one person I was most envious of was Quicksilver. And not because I wanted to save the world or any of that pish. No. When I sat in my third year physics class, the smells from the cafeteria always decided to sneak up the vent and attack my nostrils. I would get so unbelievably hungry, and my stomach would always tell my classmates just that. So I used to daydream about running faster than time, sprinting down into the dining hall, grabbing a steaming hot spicy chicken panini (and maybe some soup, if I could manage) and munching it before heading back up to class. Yeah – I wanted superpowers so I could eat my lunch early.
  2001: The Princess Diaries
AH. I’ve got a feeling film directors are deliberately messing with me right now. Legit, I had a look at the films from 2001, and I was floored. What an amazing year. The first Harry Potter movie came out this year – the beginning of an absolute era. Shrek debuted as well – but I was always slightly offended when people heard my Scottish accent and compared me to a giant green ogre when I travelled abroad. The first Lord of the Rings film came out as well – see what I mean about them messing with me?
But despite all of my favourite film franchises beginning in this year, I gotta say, the Anne Hathaway/Julie Andrews combo that is The Princess Diaries absolutely stole my heart. I had never related to a character more – I had frizzy hair, buck teeth, oversized glasses and a tendency to prioritise spending time with my cat over hanging out with real-life friends. So when she went through her beautiful princess transformation, I was floored. I mean, I’m still waiting for that to officially happen, but I’m still holding out hope that I have a long lost relative that’s gonna tell me I’m a princess (no, not you mum).
  2002: The Pianist
Originally, I had written the first Spiderman as my favourite film of 2002. But that quickly changed.
The first time I watched The Pianist, I was 13 years old in a stuffy history classroom. I still hold the belief that this was definitely not the right time to watch this film. It felt as though my teacher didn’t have any material to convey how horrific the Holocaust really was, and so instead she stuck on one of the most distressing and hauntingly beautiful films of all time. I didn’t fully appreciate it back then – I cried when I watched the horrors that took place in the ghettos, and got even more upset when immature people around me started to laugh.
But I watched it for a second time a few years later. Although I cried again, I gained a much deeper understanding of the film. I still listen to the soundtrack when I want to write a particularly moving or sad chapter of a book. The film has such a disgusting beauty to it, it is astounding – it makes me question my morals when I say it is one of my favourite films.
  2003: Peter Pan
Again, there were so many amazing films this year – I can’t explain my guilt at not choosing Finding Nemo or the last instalment of the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
But I found my first love in the live-action remake of Peter Pan. Just a few years after it was released, I found myself watching it time and time again. I was young, and there was a boy with messy hair and a fairy to keep him company. Honestly, I was head over heels. I grew to absolutely despise Wendy Darling. How dare she take away my Peter, with her stupid bow and annoying accent. And the fact that Lucius Malfoy was Captain Hook just made it that little bit better.
2004: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
You’re lying if you say that this isn’t one of your favourite films.
Again, it was tricky not choosing The Incredibles or Mean Girls – even The Notebook made it to my shortlist. But the way the Weasley twin’s hair sat and the introduction of the marauders just made my life complete. Except for Pettigrew. Fuck you, Pettigrew. I’d read the book before I saw the film, and while I was slightly disappointed with the previous two, I didn’t stop talking about PoA for months. In fact, I still talk about it. It’s great.
  2005: Sky High
This year was going to be beautifully simple – I absolutely love Star Wars Episode III. In fact, it was possibly the only film I was certain of when I started this post. But, never the less, I looked at the list of 2005 films anyway, and was reminded of the best thing I’ve ever watched. Ever.
Remember earlier in the post when I said that I frickin LOVE schools for supernatural people? WELL HERE WE GO AGAIN. I watched Sky High recently with my friend Ross, and even although the acting was abysmal and my cringe levels were off the chart, I couldn’t help but smile. As if the flying school bus wasn’t enough, the euphoria I felt when Will and Warren won Save the Citizen was something I don’t think I’ll ever feel again.
  2006: Pan’s Labyrinth
I feel like if I choose any film other than this, my Spanish teacher would kill me. Again, it’s another film that we watched at way too young an age in my opinion. Sure, it looks all mystical with fairies and creepy monsters with eyeball hands, but it has this underlying story-line of the horrors of war and escapism that you can’t fully understand until you’re a bit older.
I watched it again when I was 17 and studying Advanced Higher Spanish, and knew the film as ‘El Laberinto del Fauno’. I could go on for 20 minutes about this film and its director (which I did by the way, in the final exam).
  2007: Ratatouille
WHAT A FILM BTW. I’ve always loved Disney – my sister and I would spend nights staying up way past our 8pm bedtime watching Aladdin and Peter Pan, with a fair few stolen After Eight mints from my mum’s bedroom too. This film just completely blew me away – the animation was new and cool and it was set in PARIS.
Even now, ten years later (omg ten years wtf) I still think about the scene where Remy combines the cheese and grapes, and little fireworks and swirls form in his mind. I once ate a McDonald’s chip and then took a sip of my strawberry milkshake, and legit I’m pretty sure that’s what happened in my mind.
2008: The Chronicles of Narnia – Prince Caspian
Enter stage left – my second love. At the age of nine, Prince Caspian had everything I could ever want in a guy (or so I thought). He had a sword, long hair, an accent I had never heard before and he fought Peter Pevensie (I seem to hate a whole lot of Peters).
I thought it was the coolest combination of Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter, and it was while watching this that I began to have a crisis about my true Hogwarts house. I had always thought myself a Gryffindor – I had the scarf, the pens and the egotistical ‘I’m-better-than-you’ attitude that all young Gryffs seem to adopt. But I found myself siding with Edmund Pevensie about a whole lot of things. I didn’t fully accept Slytherin as my true house till a good few years later.
  2009: Star Trek
I watched Star Trek before I even touched Star Wars, and I was absolutely hooked. It was what introduced me to science fiction, really. After Star Trek, I moved onto Doctor Who, and although I couldn’t really get into the Star Trek TV series, I found my love of sci-fi growing.
It was my love of Star Trek that caused me to accidentally find Star Wars. My brother would constantly go on about C3PO and lightsabers, and I decided very early on that it wasn’t for me. But after trying (and failing) to find Star Trek online, I accidentally found Star Wars instead, and thus began my love of the Skywalkers and giant wookies named Chewy.
2010: How To Train Your Dragon
Other than Aladdin, Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III was one of my first (of many) cartoon crushes. I thought he was the most adorable lil guy ever – he was clumsy, dorky, and absolutely loved animals. He was perfect. I thought the animation was absolutely incredible, and the Scottish accents were just a bonus. I much preferred being compared to Gerard Butler than a green ogre, in all honesty.
And don’t even get me started on how he looked in How To Train Your Dragon 2 – oaft.
2011: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part Two
HPDHP2 is right up there with the Prisoner of Azkaban. I remember heading to the midnight release of the last Harry Potter book – I was decked out in a Scream robe that we’d stitched a Gryffindor badge onto, with curly hair that reached my shoulders. And yes, I won the costume contest. But I remember staying up that night and reading the book until 7am, and having to head to school the next day without a wink of sleep. And yet I didn’t care – I had just finished the last book in a series that completely shaped my childhood.
So when the movie hit the cinema screens, I was praying that I wouldn’t be disappointed like I was with some of the others. And apparently, my prayers were answered. Even although the Deathly Hallows is split into two parts, I always consider them the one film. And it’s most certainly my favourite.
2012: The Perks of Being a Wallflower
This film really got to me. I bundled up in warm clothes to see it in the cinema with my friend Ailish, and it was the first ever film I had cried at. I’d read the book before hand and cried my eyes out, but the severity and meaning of the story didn’t hit me until I watched the film. Logan Lerman and Emma Watson were two of my favourite stars at the time: I knew Emma from Harry Potter obviously, whilst Logan stole my heart as Percy Jackson.
But what struck me most was the way I related to these characters. I often found myself standing next to the wall in school dances, watching people having a good time but being physically incapable of joining in – it was as if my feet were constantly glued to the floor. It was comforting to know that I wasn’t alone in this, and it lead to me being able to open up to my guidance teacher about my struggles with anxiety.
I also wrote about the original book in my piece ’13 books to help get over a break up’ – check it out.
2013: The Hobbit – The Desolation of Smaug
When the making of the Hobbit was first announced, I was ecstatic. But my excitement somewhat wavered when I heard they were turning into three films. It was a small book – tiny in comparison to the three Lord of the Rings texts – how on earth would they stretch this wonderfully small work into three different films?
And yet somehow, they managed it, and subsequently made one of my favourite films of all time. Why, you ask? The barrel scene.
2014: Guardians of the Galaxy
Not gonna lie, this one was a toss up between the hilarious Chris Pratt and the absolutely adorable Baymax. But, as much as I love Disney’s tale of superpowers and love therapy in Big Hero 6, it didn’t win this year for me. The best thing about the film is without a doubt the soundtrack – even four years later, I still listen to it when I wanna get psyched.
I wanted to cosplay as Gamora for last year’s MCM Comic Con in Glasgow so bad, but then I realised that I’d more than likely sweat off the green body paint and the leather would more than likely get quite uncomfortable.
2015: Star Wars – The Force Awakens
Up until 2015, I was losing interest in Star Wars. I’d watched the films countless times, but as much as I adored them, I couldn’t stop thinking about the shabby effects. So when Finn, Poe and Rey lit up my local cinema screen in December 2015, it was as if I was born again. I suddenly dived back into the world of lightsabers and gun-wielding Wookies, and I genuinely haven’t looked back since.
And although I cried my eyes out when that thing happened, I agreed with it – it was about time.
2016: Finding Dory
I actually travelled Australia for a month last year – I left school and just decided to get away from everything and everyone for a little while. So after I met my brother and we began to explore Sydney, we decided what better place to watch the latest instalment in Finding Nemo than the place where it’s set??
I was slightly disappointed to find out that Nemo and Dory did not, in fact, stay in Sydney for the duration of the film, but even so – it was just amazing.
I was going to write a segment for 2017 but then I realised – I legit haven’t watched any new releases yet. I’ve simply not had any time. And yes, that means that I haven’t even watched the new Beauty and the Beast. For shame.
But even although I haven’t watched anything yet, there are tonnes of films that I’m looking forward to – Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, Spiderman Homecoming, and Star Wars: The Last Jedi to name a few.
Hey, maybe I’ll revisit this post at the end of the year and add in my favourite film.
I’m tagging the fantastic Emily and Lucie in the ‘Film for every year of my life’ tag.
