FOR: @leylayilmazx WHEN: 22nd of March, 2024. WHERE: Berkeley Estate.
Sveta had been standing listening to Pavel and Vitaly discuss Miami, fond memories poured over, drinks flowing as that brotherly banter kept her interested long enough that she'd sank three drinks in quick concession before her attention began to drift.
Svetlana heard her name before she heard that laugh.

Reaction @mobscene-awards
╰─▸ ❝Biggest Heart❞ x
“Her second year...” He hums, clapping to show his support for the woman onstage. The segue into quoting Snoop Dogg draws an appreciative snort. It’s quintessentially and chaotically Leyla. @leylayilmazx
But he doesn’t forget the nominee who happens to be sitting right next to him, either. As soon as the clapping’s subsided, he reaches over for Amélie’s hand and gives it a brief, amicable squeeze. “This is better, anyway.” He whispers to her. “No pressure from the limelight, and you can keep being... You.” Suggesting it’s exactly what he appreciates most about her. @amescastaignede

This was too much for her. The shots were not doing what she wanted, believing that if she had enough she could conjure in her head a whole new reality of what was transpiring in front of her. But the reality of it, this whole night was turning into a disaster.
If they thought their conversation was going unnoticed, it wasn't. She saw how all eyes were on the Kerem and Leyla. She pretended not to hear what was being said. The cloud nine that she had been on for the last three days was gone, reality had sunk back in and her life was a fucking wreck.
Everything was falling apart.
Emine blinks back the tears, refusing to cry because she didn't do that in front of people. They would never see her like that -- see her vulnerable.
Rage slowly starts to build, spots of red flashing in front of her eyes, and her fingers twitch. She knew this feeling, one that had been suppressed for over a month, but there was no way to calm it without giving what was needed.
She pulls out her phone, making a quick call. "Ali, it's me, is Roger there." He was a fucker that owned her money for months now, but she had preoccupied that she never did go to collect. "He is, good. I'm on my way."
The petite Turk makes her way over to Ayda. She could tell the woman was anxious and on the verge of a breakdown the way her body rocked side to side. "Thanks for everything, but I have business I need to deal with." She feels Ayda's eyes fall down on her.
"Oh," Ayda nods her head in understanding, both of them looking at the same thing. "I'm really sorry Emine. I wanted this to be special for you." She was ready to call this party.
"It's fine, shit happens." Emine gives Ayda's hand a squeeze before turning away. A hand pulls out her knife sheathed to her thigh under her dress, making her way out of the bar.

NEW AMSTERDAM REACTION
This reaction is for the season 4, twenty-second episode titled "I'll Be Your Shelter" which originally aired on May 24, 2022. The episode was written by David Schulner and Erika Green Swafford and directed by Michael Slovis. Spoilers ahead!
Tumblr media
It's been over a week since the season four finale of New Amsterdam aired and I've had some time to think about it. Having read through some reviews of "I'll Be Your Shelter", it seems some fans of the show were not happy with where this episode left many of our main characters. Since this reaction is late, I will be brief in discussing my thoughts surrounding the episode. First, let me start with Dr. Floyd Reynolds.
This season has been a rollercoaster for Reynolds, and I've been very vocal about how much I disapprove of his storyline. I was never a fan of him engaging in a relationship with Dr. Lyn Malvo and it has very little to do with her already being married to Dr. Claude Baptiste and everything to do with their lack of chemistry. To make matters worse, Dr. Malvo got pregnant thus continuing the trend of mature, responsible adults being surprised when their lack of using protection results in a pregnancy. Then we had the back and forth of is Reynolds the father or is Baptiste the father. When it was finally confirmed that Reynolds was the father of Malvo's child, I was like ... ugh. Of course. Then we learn later on in the season that Dr. Malvo is planning on moving to the other side of the country with her husband. What's with Dr. Reynolds' love interests leaving him and moving to the west coast?
Tumblr media
With Malvo and Baptiste out of the picture, Reynolds suddenly became interested in finding his father even though his mother and sister weren't exactly thrilled about him doing so. Reynolds did manage to find his father, played by actor James McDaniel (NYPD Blue) and the two of them bond in the middle of a hurricane. While I'm happy Reynolds found his dad, and it seems like his father is open to having a relationship with him, a part of me wonders what is next for Reynolds. I do love his character and I feel like he is best when he is practicing medicine. I hope we get to see him with a more interesting storyline next year. And P.S. ... it doesn't need to involve a woman. Just saying.
Speaking of women - let's talk about Dr. Lauren Bloom and Dr. Leyla Shinwari. Now let me just say, I was totally on board with the two of these characters dating back when they first got together. What can I say? I'm a sucker for a good, old-fashioned romance. Then the dynamics of their relationship - the power dynamics - started to become apparent. Looking back, perhaps Lauren shouldn't have engaged in a relationship with Leyla. With Lauren being the head of the emergency department and Leyla being one of her subordinates, we had an imbalance of power from the very start. Then add in the fact that Leyla is a refugee and Lauren is wealthy - this romance now, in retrospect, seems doomed from the start. Then Lauren went behind the scenes and finagled things so that Leyla got the best schedule and that's when I really knew this relationship could not sustain. When the two of them broke up, admittedly I was a bit disappointed, but I understood why. It seemed very mature on both their parts.
Tumblr media
Then Leyla came back into the picture, and I don't know - I really don't like the whole 'I need your help so that I can stay in the country' plot. It really made Leyla look bad. Look - I get it. There is a level of desperation there, but I think I wouldn't have minded her needing Lauren's help if she hadn't also insisted on rekindling their romance. Bloom/Leyla 2.0 was no bueno for me. I was glad when Lauren finally came to her senses and pulled the plug before further damage was done. I am quite interested to see what happens next season. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say Dr. Lauren Bloom is best when she is single. She is one of my favorite characters and I hope we get to see more of her growth next season without her being tied down in a relationship.
Speaking of favorite characters! I've always been open about my love for Dr. Iggy Frome. I'm a huge fan of Tyler Labine as an actor. I think he brings a lot of nuance to the character. I also love that we get to see an openly gay character in a loving relationship with kids be a main character on a popular primetime drama. Another thing I've always liked about Iggy is how flawed he is. He has real flaws. He is a narcissist albeit a self-diagnosed narcissist. He also struggles with body dysmorphia. He has an ego the size of Manhattan. His behavioral health practices are questionable at times. He can be very manipulative as well. But at the end of the day, he does seem to be a kind-hearted person who wants to leave the world a better place than he found it. My love for Iggy was really tested this season. With the introduction of Dr. Trevor Vaughn, I spent most of this season biting my nails wondering if Iggy was going to hook up with his employee. Thankfully nothing untoward happened between the two of them although some would argue there was some emotional infidelity taking place, mostly on Iggy's side. After Iggy and Trevor were drugged in the back-half of the season, I felt like things really started to snowball with Iggy. Trevor was justifiably upset when Iggy admitted why he hired him. Then things got really shaky between him and Martin when the latter learned of Iggy's flirtations.
Tumblr media
And just when I thought these two were on the mend, Iggy drops an atomic bomb on both Martin and their relationship when he implies Martin only likes him because he's broken. Now I'll be the first to admit, Iggy pissed me the hell off when he blamed Martin for all the issues in their relationship and I was honestly heartbroken for Martin when Iggy confronted him the way he did. However, in this final episode, I'm beginning to think that maybe Iggy was right. When Martin seemed in utter disbelief that Iggy could be an effective leader, it had me side-eyeing Martin. These two clearly have some deep-seeded issues they need to work through, and I'll be honest - this season finale doesn't exactly have me hopeful for the future of their relationship. Now I've never been a fan of the whole 'stay together for the children' because I think it unfairly uses children as an excuse to prolong a potentially toxic relationship. However, I do love Iggy and Martin and their family, and I would hate for things to implode. However, worst case scenario, I think Iggy and Martin would be very effective co-parents should divorce be the avenue they choose. I guess we will have to find out next season what becomes of my favorite pairing on the show.
Tumblr media
Now is the part where we talk about Max and Helen. I will be 100% honest. I know the New Amsterdam fandom is all in on Dr. Max Goodwin and Dr. Helen Sharpe being a thing, but I've never been a fan of this kind of relationship. It reminds me of TV relationships of yore. Ross and Rachel come to mind. It's this whole putting together of two popular characters only to place ridiculous obstacles in their path because what it boils down to these kinds of relationships can't sustain because TV shows require drama, and you can't just have your main couple be happy and settled. So, because of this, we have to keep finding ways of bringing them together and then bringing them apart. The big mistake of putting these two together is that they both have personal motivations that are at odds with each other. Helen wants to be in London practicing medicine and guess what - she deserves to have that life. Max wants to be in New York fighting for New Amsterdam and guess what - he deserves to have that life. Because their desires are in conflict, we spent most of the season going back and forth and back and forth from London to New York and back again and frankly it got exhausting to watch. And the frustrating part about all of this is that the fandom is so hellbent on these two having a happy ending but if they really allowed themselves to think about it, they'd realize that a relationship like this can't possibly sustain without one of the people involved giving up something and you know what? I don't think they should have to give anything up. Helen should remain in London doing what she loves, and Max should remain in NYC doing what he loves. I do hate that Luna is caught up in the middle of all this.
Anywho, Max did finally come back to New Amsterdam, and we finally got rid of that awful, awful Dr. Veronica Fuentes and I pray we never see her again. It was so nice that Max and the rest of the staff at New Amsterdam banded together to get rid of her but what I find funny is that Max literally thought all he needed to do and then he could go back to Helen and have a happily ever after. Others may disagree with what I'm about to say but Max is New Amsterdam and New Amsterdam is Max. The more he has fought against this notion, the more it becomes apparent. I get that he wants to have his proverbial cake and he wants to be able to eat it as well. However, Max's desire may be to have Helen as his partner and a mother for Luna, but his destiny is to be at New Amsterdam. Maybe next season he'll finally realize that.
Tumblr media
As far as the season finale is concerned, Max spent most of the episode tracking Helen's flight and at first I thought maybe something bad had happened since there was a hurricane bearing down on New York City. However, it turns out, Helen never got on the plane in the first place and when Max calls her to ask why, she says she can't. She can't. Ugh. This was so not cool on Dr. Sharpe's part but hopefully the beginning of next season will give us some explanation on what's going on. My first thought was, did something happen to her mom? Helen and her mother have had a very contentious relationship. It just occurred to me, none of the people on this show seem to have great relationships with their parents which sort of explains why they rely so heavily on each other. They are each other's family. Anywho, I'm hoping something truly tragic happened because the alternative is that Helen just didn't get on the plane and left Max high and dry and if that's the case, I don't know how their relationship will survive. Max has already endured the loss of one great love of his life. I'm not sure he can handle losing two great loves at this point. I felt really bad for Max. As far as my feelings for Helen? I dunno - I feel like the 'I can't, I can't' is such a cop out. If she doesn't want to get married she needs to just tell Max. I guess we will find out what happens next when next season debuts.
Overall, I really liked this episode even if the whole hurricane plot seemed a bit abrupt. In all fairness, both 9-1-1 and 9-1-1: Lone Star have spoiled me when it comes to natural disaster episodes. At this point I've seen earthquakes and tsunamis ravage Los Angeles and volcanos and blizzards devastate Austin, Texas and those episodes are usually huge deals. Having a hurricane hit New Amsterdam in the season finale felt anticlimactic and I think it would have worked better if maybe they saved this for the season 5 debut. That's not to say I didn't enjoy this episode because I did, However, the hurricane seemed very out of place and the stakes didn't seem that high. I never at any point felt like anyone's life was in danger. Even when Iggy was leading the emergency room patients through the hospital like Moses and they kept running into obstacles like carbon monoxide and electrified puddles of water, I never felt like he or they were in any real danger. Even Max with the guy whose kidneys were failing and needed dialysis, I never once felt like he was going to die. And the funny part is, when the hurricane was over, it was like it never happened so I think we could have still had all the character development but maybe we didn't need to have the drama of a natural disaster to facilitate it..
I will miss seeing New Amsterdam from week to week. I'm sad we only have one more season left but hey, not every show needs to be Supernatural or Grey's Anatomy or The Simpsons. It's gonna be really hard to say goodbye to these incredible characters and their stories. I am also so happy that we have Dr. Wilder as well. I hope she will end up leading the hospital next season because she seems more than willing and able. It would also be nice if we spend all of next season giving an appropriate send-off to our beloved characters. I have spent the last four seasons falling in love with Max and Sharpe and Bloom and Iggy and Reynolds and I would love to see them all in a nice place by the end of the series, whether that's at New Amsterdam or somewhere else. With that said, I look forward to revisiting some of the episodes from this season. The karaoke episode is my favorite of the season and I remember how nervous I was for several of our characters. I hope whoever reads these reactions have enjoyed hearing my commentary, even if you don't agree with it. I guess I'll end this the way I always do. Until next time ...

ok I need to yell about these scenes and I don't think there's a video yet so let me annoy you with a recap.
Aaron and Vic having drinks in the pub, she's in the toilet or something - Away From The Table - and left her phone, which is pinging with messages. Aaron does not do privacy and checks who the messages are from, sees they're from Jacob, cracks some jokes about keeping it in the family when Vic comes back to the table.
"Like father, like son."
"So I can't ask you who is better in bed then?"
the scene changes to other nonsense and when they come back Aaron is all serious.
Aaron: It's nobody's business, so just tell them to do one
Vic: i want to avoid anyone else getting hurt, we're not all heartless like you. Sorry, I didn't mean that.
Aaron: it's fair. Since when do you care about other people's opinion?
Vic: Since David's reaction. I'll have to go into hiding when Leyla finds out. She already hates me for poisoning Jacob.
Aaron: So that's why you're running off to Portugal, so Leyla can't hunt you down?
Vic: No. I said I need a break from all the lies. I want it out in the open, but Jacob can't tell them yet. Don't ask why, but it's reason enough.
Aaron: You love him don't you?
Vic: yeah, yeah I do. We just get each other you know?
Aaron: nods and looks like this
Tumblr media
Vic: do you think I'm mad?
Aaron: No more than usual.
Vic: *laughs*
Aaron: But listen... if Jacob is... you know... the one... then... wait for him.
Vic: You sound like you're speaking from experience.
Aaron: Maybe. *looking all serious but also suddenly very interested in the table and not looking at her*
Vic: ROBERT IS DOING OK.
Aaron: *getting all defensive* I DIDN'T ASK! *staring at the table again but Vic definitely Hit A Nerve there*
Vic: *bringing out the Smugden Sugden*: I know. But whilst we're talking about The One...
Aaron: I'M GOING TO CHANGE THE SUBJECT! Have I helped you here?
Vic: for once, yes.
Scene change, other nonsense.
Aaron: *literally runs into Jacob in the cafe*: woah, easy! Don't you think you should go and see her rather than texting her?
Jacob: Sorry?
Aaron: You should be seeing your girlfriend. Face to face.
Jacob: Haven't got a girlfriend.
Aaron: Jacob, I know you have. I know about Victoria. She wants to talk to you. So don't mess it up, yeah?

A Fair Trade - Dastan x (Fem)Reader
Tumblr media
Warnings: Heavy flirting, sexual tension. Reader is named to avoid an overuse of y/n. I picked for her my favorite arabic girl name and she uses arabic pet names, mostly but not only, on Dastan. ( Apologising in advance if my translations aren't accurate)
Summary: The Valley of the Slaves harbours many secrets behind the horrifying legends, mere facade for an illegal gambling establishment ran by the greediest man Dastan has ever meet. Deprived of everything since the arrival, he is perfectly aware of needing material help of the owner in order to continue the journey. Chances seem highly improbable, but the beautifull daughter of the Sheik shows an intense predilection towards him.
Note: The father - daughter dynamic is chaotic and hilarious. I loved it more than what I initially expected.
Arabic terms: Habibi - My love
Waseem - handsome
Ghalibi - My conqueror/ the one conquering one's heart
Baba/Abbi - dad, father
Tags: @thorssweetheart @halesfavoriteharlot @axelwolf8109
The Valley of the Slaves was nothing like the tales described, those were the carefully developed cover of an illegal paradise for gambling ran by a greedy trader Dastan needed to somehow associate himself with if he wanted to get out. Exchanging Tamina for his safety was a start, but in order to continue the journey he required of aid and leaving on good terms could facilitate things for him.
Reminding some of the lessons found in his lost life of prince, he proceeded like he was taught to do when trying to seal a political deal with a foreign ruler. Expressing enjoyment of being shown arround, praise the land and pretend to agree with everything he would hear. It seemed to be working just fine, but Sheik Amar had his own sort of intempestive reactions keeping him second guessing.
The initial good mood had run out for reasons beyond Dastan's understanding. While doing his pridefull exposition about the many secrets of the place, Amar had also been doing a subtle visual search for someone who seemed absent and this fact enraged him.
" WHERE IS LEYLA? " He interrogated the first men at his service that he found on his way. " CAN'T YOU WATCH OVER HER EVEN ONE BLOODY TIME? DO I HAVE TO DO EVERYTHING HERE? "
Seso was not far behind him and the yelling made him chuckle, amused by a scene that seemed common to him.
" She must be doing promotion. "
The guess ruined his fríend's mood even more.
" Don't be so mean to her! She is a good girl, you just never give her a chance. "
The sudden softness made Dastan suspect he cared for the woman being mentioned.
" FIND HER, NOW!!!" Sheik Amar ordered. " C'MON!"
It was a perfect time to win his simpathies by being the hero, so the errant prince followed despite not being sure of what he was stepping into. The men were getting away of the race track searching the slightly calmer spaces bordering it and he remained behind for an instant, untill the sound of music began to guide him in the ríght direction. He trusted his instinct on it, but what he found wasn't the endangered girl needing of a rescuer that he hoped for.
A ravishing young woman dancing to the improvising of a darbuka player with a crowd of men loosing their minds for her. She seemed to be having the time of her life pampering the ones willing to pay better with her brief attention. To stop staring at her was impossible. Her twirls, the gracefull movements of her arms and legs accompanying her sensual responses to the percussion going strongly on her hips, chest and waist.
So shamelessly sensual that Dastan felt a bit flusterred when her glance found him, regretting so badly not having a single piece of gold to give her.
That didn't matter to her, or at least not like it did for the other costumers. Advancing in his direction in delightfull pacing meant to display her sharp hip movements, she showed him a preferential free treatment that he wasn't expecting ríght away. The foolish smile on his face only encouraged her, regardless for what that could cause in all the others.
Proximity lasted for an instant, but the sight was mouth watering and the lascivous smile she gave him felt like a mark of fire. Dastan licked his lips and instinctively took one hand to his belt, suddenly remembering the dagger.
He could have forgotten of his own name looking at her.
Before he could regain concience by himself, the precise flight of one of Seso's knives dispersed the crowd and abruptly ended the show.
" Ya Abbi!! " She called, contrastingly sweet demeanour as she noticed Amar ríght next to the knife thrower. " Look at all the gold i just made! Aren't you proud of me? My business is going great! Now i won't have to bother you the next time i want to get something nice for myself. "
Mentioning profits was her attempt to distract him, but it didn't work as expected.
" What you need is to control your overspending, not shaming yourself like this. "
She didn't take the callout, but pretended to be dissapointed.
" So much of you calling me your princess, your jewel, where is all of that when it's about investing in me? "
Twisting business language was a dangerous discursive operation, since he had the perfect comeback for that.
" Investments have returns, Leyla. "
" Or you are just cheap, and i'm sick of it! " She angryly replicated. " I'm doing something I love and people pay me greatly for it. "
" People talk, they say all kinds of things about you. " He warned her in a sweeter tone. " Unfair things, they claim my daughter is an easy girl."
Seso looked at Dastan and in his gesture he understood all he needed to know.
That stunning girl was the sheik's daughter and the gossips about her weren't entirely wrong.
" Everyone loves a good story. " She defended herself quoting her father. " We know better than anyone how false rumours tend to be. "
Tranquilizing words and her mask of innocence made Amar's softer side win.
" I know you mean well, but I have girls working for me controlling the crowd for a reason. " He reminded her, softly caressing her face. " My business doesn't attract the most honest clientele and you are the most beautifull girl this place has ever seen. They will take advantage of you for being so carefree. "
" Ohhh, he worries for me!!! Isn't he the sweetest?" She lovefully commented, then hugged him. " I love you, Baba."
Her tenderness ended the discrepancies.
" I want ten percent, for the fright you caused me. "
Leyla kissed his cheek, then bargained.
" Five, I share profits with the drum player. "
They shared some complicit laughter, fully relaxing after the moment of tension had passed, which was a peculiar way of expressing their unity as family.
Only then he noticed the furtive glance of the stranger following her.
" What are you looking at, persian? Don't make me regret our agreement."
A sudden terror made him stutter trying to excuse himself, but she helped him out with more displays of her charm.
" Forgive him for the scares." She calmed him while approaching. " Are you lost, waseem? Men like you don't pass by often, you are a blessing to the sight."
He smiled nervously, too aware of the vigilant stare of the father.
" You are a wonderfull dancer, that was a fantastic show. My only regret is being a bit short on currency to properly retribute. "
She was then in front of him, shamelessly toying with the necklace visible due to the open shirt exposing his chest.
" For you only, I accept alternatives. "
" He traded me a girl for his head. " Amar interrupted, ruining her flirty undertones on purpose. " He has nothing of value. "
The claim didn't convince her.
" I'll determinate that. "
Her hands were over him before Dastan could get to say a word, roaming in pretended search for valuable items.
It was only an excuse, the touching itself was the expected payment. Her search felt like the teasing caress of a lover, avid hands stopping for instants in the places she liked more. Awkward context aside, the persian was more than happy of letting her play with him like that. While one hand was underneath the shirt, the other travelled back to give his ass an imperceptible squeeze that the others won't notice, but he would feel.
The enjoyment ended when she reached his hips and the finding of the dagger made him flinch.
" Don't worry, I won't take your weapon. It's dangerous to go unarmed and I don't want you to get yourself hurted. " She purred close to his ear. " Pleasure to do bussiness with you. "
She turned back to her father for her conclussion.
" You were ríght, Baba. His pretty face is all he has left. "
And with that, she briefly leave them to arrange the profit split with her actual business partner.
Dastan foolishly waved at her, completely enchanted.
" Lovely girl! She grows on you very quick. " He commented to the father in order to excuse himself. " I already love her! "
Amar seemed more cheerfull than angry,
" Of course you do, she is precious as a jewel." He replied, with the pridefull trust of a loving father. " Do you have any idea of how many misserables like you make me terrible offers for her every week? I kick them all out. They come at me bargaining as if I wouldn't know how much she is worth. It's them who spread those rumours to lower the price. They discredit her morals, her suitability for marriage, because I didn't give her the ideal life for a young woman given the business i'm in … What is completely unfair: i may be slightly dishonest, but she is wonderfull. Look at her, can you believe I made s girl so fair? Part of that beauty came out from me."
Reading between línea, it meant his pride of parent was mixed with a certain frustration because he couldn't yet fool someone into marrying her paying the full price of the probably very high dowry he demmanded even tho nobody else believed she could be a good wife. Dastan kept the thing going to please the host, talking as if she was the princess of that land of renegades.
" She is stunning … and so well behaved! Very well mannered. "
His words had a fraction of truth: she behaved very well for him. Dastan's numbed senses already adored her treatment. She had groped him with unbelievable skill, managing to surprise him even after what he saw and he knew the subtle, sensual encounters were not going to stop. Leyla would take every little chance of her father's cheerfull distractions to get what she wanted.
To the runaway prince's luck, what she wanted was him. For the first time in a good while, things were working fine. The gorgeous girl was very good at persuasion and she would take his side because she wanted him. From the moment that she saw him, an instant and undeniably mutual attraction.
Warm, soft hands rounding him from behind warned him of her presence as he watched the ostrich race.
" Leyla! " He sweetly greeted her, slightly surprised. " Do you need me to leave you a good spot to watch?"
She chuckled, approbing his following of her game.
" I'm good like this. "
The great excitement he would typically get from watching the races made her father temporally careless for the touching.
" Don't grow too fond of him, dear. " He warned her, keeping eyes on the track the whole time. " Remember that the last girl who did works for me now."
It didn't take too long for her to end up meeting the so commented girl. For most, she tried to remain silent merely observing the persian's reactions in an attempt of checking if she could be potential competition. Despite she had to admit she was very beautifull, her disastrous work performance made her laugh.
Too arrogant for a slave girl, and she didn't seem to have worked a single day of her life before.
Her disdain and lack of interest on performing didn't bother the new master, however, who seemed happy with the new adquisition.
" You know? I think our little arrangement is going to work out very well, young man."
The girl clearly couldn't handle it, the approach of men that were thristy in more than one sense of the term was too much for her. Laughter was not long in coming from the men when she threw the contents of one glass at a man's face.
" She is a lovely one! Where did you find her?"
" In the slave market of Lurs." The persian explained. " I was heading to Avrat, tried to trade her for a camel when she attacked me."
" The camels are safer."
Leyla agreed with soft chuckling, trying to get the handsome stranger's attention back on her. Her suspicious observation about the slave got some sort of confirmation, since there were pieces of his story that didn't fit. Even the most rebellious of slaves wouldn't behave like that, she acted as if she believed herself too above the tasks that was assigned for her. Beyond disdain for her masters, her reactions showed the typical repulsion of a noble for the underclasses.
He was lying, but she dismissed it hoping to see how far he was going to get. All she wanted then was to keep him, so she distracted him trailing a few pecks on the side of his neck.
" You are not going to miss her, I will take care of you."
Fear of the father overcame his desire for the daughter and he escaped her grip to finally present his request for a deal with him before she could get both of them in trouble.
" Noble Sheik Amar!" Dastan called in a flattering tone. " I appreciate your hospitality, you run a fine establishment, and the beauty of your daughter is a comfort for my senses punished by the desert ... but if you could give me the supplies..."
His luck had ran out, and the trader had lost his patience. The soft caressing of the girl was replaced by his firm grip keeping his jaw still as he threatened him.
" You know something, Persian? You bear a remarkable resemblance to the disgraced prince who fled after murdering the king."
Laughing nervously in a quick observation of the faces arround him as soon as he was released, the prince knew it was time to run and he tried so, but was easily stopped.
To an order of the Sheik, Seso threw a knife that got the sleeve of Dastan's coat stucked in a pole and Amar didn't loose the shot to taunt him.
"  Did I ever tell you about the Ngbaka? "
The persian prince agreed with resignation.
" Yes, you did."
He was surrounded of enemies, only Leyla kept looking at him with excitement, careless for the implications of the crime but delighted to the mention of his lost nobility.
Her father kept rambling while she silently evaluated the situation.
" Yeah, nothing beats a good story, eh? But yours however, trading her in for a camel, please! I mean look at her, she's worth at least two! "
He was taking the time of showing him how much of a terrible liar he was at the same time the warrior was about to point a knife to his throat.
" And as for you, young man, do you know your brother's offered a reward for you? Which quite frankly between you and me, borders on the obscene! I'd trade in my own mother for that kind of gold."
Seso gave him a surprised reprobatory look.
" What?" Sheik defended himself. " Oh you didn't know what she was like."
Fed up with the whole thing, he just wanted to get rid of the persian and collect the gold.
" Take him to the persian outpost."
Leyla leapt to the young man's defense, shielding him with her frame so Seso could not finish to fullfill the command.
" I can't allow it. I like him, Baba! For real! " She explained herself, more or less claimed to be trully infatuated with him. " And you never let me keep anything for myself, it's so unfair! "
She turned back, sweetly smiling at Dastan like a crushing girl offering herself to her love interest.
He smiled back, partially as acceptance but also out of will to escape the already growing rage of her father and his plan of handling him to get killed.
" WHAT ARE YOU DOING? YOU ARE GOING TO COST ME A FORTUNE! " Amar yelled, somehow shocked because he couldn't imagine she would have done something so stupid. " NEXT WEEK YOU WILL FIND ANOTHER ONE, DO YOU THINK THAT I IGNORE YOUR WAYS WITH MEN? I CHOOSE TO TURN THE BLIND EYE ON YOU! "
The release of honesty didn't upset her.
"I will not see a single piece of that gold anyways, you will hoard it as you always do."
Another argument started as he tried to convince his daughter of following his plan, presenting it as a convenience for both of them that she wasn't seeing.
" That's not true! I know, I'm not supportive of your spending habits, but with that treasure in our hands I will not have to worry for that anymore! " He reassured her. " Baba will spoil you with it, as you have always deserved. Fancy dresses, fine jewels. Do you want a pretty boy? We will get you one in the slave market, as good looking as him, no matter the price. "
The offer seemed to have tempted her, but none of them could tell if she was just taunting them.
" But I want him." She simply replied, caressing Dastan's chest. " and that I won't get if you give him away."
The young man entered their game hoping to save his head.
" Leyla! My flower of the desert! " He praised her with all his charm. " I knew I could count on you."
" It won't be for free. " She quickly clarified him. " What can you give to beat his offer?"
Angry as he was, Amar was still very proud observing her cleverness for business in action. He had raised her well, no matter what the mean spirited gossips claimed. She had what it took to defend herself in life.
" Anything your heart desires, my love. " Dastan assured her, his tone sweet and sensual in equal amounts. " Whatever it takes to keep you pleased. I have to leave so I can clean my name, I didn't actually kill my father like you must have heard. Once that would be clarified, only your wildest dreams would be the limit to what I can give you."
It pleased her and he tought himself keeping the upper hand for once, but she had it better on negociation experience.
" Marry me." Was her final price. " Get back that crown and make me a persian princess so we can offer Abbi a greater reward than the one already waiting for him."
" Risky investment, I prefer the quicker profit. " Her father objected. " Even if he isn't lying again, he can fail and I loose everything."
" If he succeeds, you get a lifetime of immeasurable richness as father of the princess. " She striked back. " Persian luxury, payback for the looting of the bureaucrats. I will marry into fortune, like you always wanted! And into the wealthiest family in the world! "
He began to hesitate, it was too good to not reconsider even for an instant.
" What do you say, Habibi? " She asked back at Dastan. " Everyone knows your story: the street kid made prince! I doubt our union would surprise them, the mere fact that you got crowned challenges the structure of their privilege."
He was as shocked as he once was when the chance of marrying Tamina was presented to him by his father. If he would be there, he would probably say that both women and their complete opposite personalities symbolized the two halves of his being. The princess, once offered to his adopted prince persona, and the dancer of treader family, so in tone with the part of him that was a birth member of the lowest underclass.
" Father may get on board for the gold, but I'm doing it for you." She softly clarified at the end. " You have won me over, my Ghalibi."
She made him feel things, but in such dubious situation he could only provide a dubious answer.
" It's a fair trade."
Leyla interpreted it as a yes and she clinged to him for a passionate kiss seiling the deal.
The desired moment took him by surprise and, while enjoying it, he let himself go before he could remember to protect the dagger.
" A guarantee for my investment." She triumphally explained, toying with it. " It's the only valuable thing you carry and I'm not going to be such a fool of just assuming you will keep to your word. "
Desperation began to overcome him, but he tried to dissimulate it.
" It's nothing, totally worthless. It may look valuable, but it's not."
He could fool the world, but not her. She had felt him watching over it the whole time whenever she would grab his hips.
" You are too defensive of it, for a simple knife." She called him out. " If you care soo much for it, you will come back."
The time being offered to him was a lending, and he was not going to explain her how loans worked.

Kardeşlerim Ep 103
Elif didn’t believe what Sengul said. Ayla told her that Sengul was drunk. Berk couldn’t lie to her anymore and told her that what Sengul said was true, that they are siblings. They went home, Elif was in denial, she thought Berk and Ayla were messing with her. Ayla told her that Berk is her twin brother. She told her how she couldn’t have a kid and how she wanted to take them both but Resul refused. She said that her dad asked Resul:"which one do you want?" and Elif went crazy because they were babies and they were treated like objects to be sold. Elif said that her father was capable of doing that but her mom wouldn't. It’s sad how Elif thinks her mom is an angel when she went to Ayla to ask for more money. Ayla brought the papers she had with Berk and Elif’s information. Elif asked Ayla if that’s how they found her and Ayla said that it was a coincidence, Sengul knew her mom. Elif thought that Ayla wanted to bring the two siblings together and that’s why she wanted Elif to live with them. Elif told her that she was a good person. Elif asked Ayla who was born first and she said Berk. She was so happy that she has an older brother now. They didn't tell her how her mom died. Elif asked Berk when he found out and he said that he found out recently. Elif understood that Berk and Ayla fought and Berk left the house because of this. She also remembered how Berk was nice to her at school. Elif hugged Elif and she told him that she didn't want him to leave.
Tumblr media
She told him to stay with her and he agreed:”Okay, I am not going anywhere, I am going to stay here with you”.
Tumblr media
Ayla told Berk that she was happy he was coming back home and he told her he was doing it for his sister and not her.
Next day at school, Berk and Elif came together. Berk said that if anyone touches Elif, they will find him in front of him. Elif told him that she can protect herself. Omer asked Mahir when his sibling was going to come out 😂 Listening to them talk about siblings, Tolga remembered Leyla. I wonder if this means the truth about her accident will soon come out.
Lydia made fun of Elif for liking Oglucan. Lydia told her:”at least I have a chance but you don’t” Susen told her that she probably didn’t beat her up enough last time and Aybike was like:”wait you beat her up?”. I completely forgot that Aybike didn’t know about this, but her reaction was so funny 😂 Elif told Oglucan that she has a boyfriend and then she held Tolga’s hand. After the chaos ended, Berk came with coffee for Elif and study notes. Then Tolga came into the classroom and Berk asked him when he and Elif started dating.
I feel like Berk didn't believe them, He had a "this is so sus" look
Tumblr media
I am not the biggest fan of Tolga but the way Yasmin talked to him when Mahir told her that he doesn’t like her was disgusting and disrespectful 😬😬
Aybike and Berk went to take a walk by the sea after school. This scene was an ad for a laundry detergent.
Aybike:”isn’t this nice? We came after school to get some clean air. It looks like the grass was cut recently, it smells nice”
Tumblr media
Berk:”Yes, I like this smell so much.”
Aybike:”Okay, I have a question for you! I am wondering, has Berk Ozkaya ever rolled in the grass before?”
Tumblr media
Berk:”It’s a nice question! Unfortunately, I didn’t, my mom didn’t let me”
Aybike:”Okay, fortunately, I am by your side now and everything has a start”
Berk:”No way, Aybike! Am I a kid to roll like that in grass?”
Tumblr media
Aybike:”Yes, of course”
Berk:”There are people, can’t you see? They will say we’re crazy”
Aybike:”Forget about the people! Let them say whatever they want to say! Also, it is our greatest right to misbehave.”
Berk told her that their clothes will get dirty and Aybike told him to just lay down on the grass. Berk layed down but he was saying that people were looking at them.
Tumblr media
Aybike felt that her sweater got wet and Berk said the grass is wet that’s why. Their sweaters got dirty and Berk was worried about people looking at them.
Aybike:”Imagine that you got back from the stadium”
Berk:”and you were our goal keeper, right?”
Aybike:”Yes”
Berk:”Mashallah, my love”
Elif and Berk were studying. Berk borrowed his mom’s tablet but  he didn’t ask her first. Elif liked how Berk called her “sister”. She pinched his cheeks.
Tumblr media
Then she said she got an idea and pinched his arm. Berk asked why she did that.
Elif:”Don’t they say twins feel each other's pain? I was wondering if I would really feel your pain”
Tumblr media
Berk:”ThEy FeEl EaCh OtHeR’s PaIn. Did you feel it?”
Tumblr media
Elif:”No, it was a lie, I didn’t feel anything”
Tumblr media
Then, Ayla brought katayef (it’s a dessert ). Ayla saw the tablet and she panicked. She has a copy of the video of Veli’s murder on it, she copied it before she showed it to Akif. Berk thought her reaction was weird and thought she was hiding something. Elif tried to feed Berk but he said he doesn’t eat sugar and that his mom knew about this but maybe she was doing it on purpose bc she doesn’t want him to stay fit 😂 I CAN'T WITH THIS DRAMA QUEEN 😂
The next day, Berk told Omer that they called them to do a test shoot. Berk’s friend called him and told him that they needed models and Berk and Omer applied. Aybike was supportive but Susen didn’t like it because she knew exactly where this was going 😂 When they got to the studio, Susen was surprised that there were only female staff. One of the staff told her that the director doesn’t work with men, she only works with women, the industry was dominated by men anyway. At first, Aybike was supportive then Susen told her to look at the makeup artist who was doing Berk’s make up. Aybike started to get jealous. She told the makeup artist that Berk’s freckles were so beautiful so she shouldn’t cover them with foundation. The makeup artist got annoyed with her and told her to leave. Omer was up first, then Berk was next then both of them were photographed together and then the director said:”Bring out the models!”
Aybike and Susen:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then the director told them to stand closer to each other. She said she wants to feel that energy and Susen was like:”I think I am feeling a lot of energy, we’re done here”
Aybike was calling Berk but he was enjoying the fact that she was jealous 😂
Director:”okay kiss him”
Susen:”KISS WHO?”
Tumblr media
The girls couldn’t wait for the shoot to be over and then they dragged their boyfriends out of there. They were walking by the sea when the sprinkles went off and we got one of the most beautiful scenes in this season. Berk of course was super thirsty despite all the water coming out of the sprinkles around him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Concerning Sarp and Asiye in this episode, they have been at each other's throat. Sarp has a nickname for Asiye: “kıvırcık” which means “curly” because her hair is curly. Unlike Omercik, it’s not a nickname that’s meant to make fun of her, it’s actually a nice nickname. He used it non-stop in this episode. I am just wondering if they are really making Assar happen now that Mahir is out. Some Asdor fans think that it was their “power” who kicked Mahir out of the show and not Mark’s bad acting. I saw one of them saying we’re gonna do the same to Sarp except Atakan can act and he is not going anywhere unless the writers decide to. Anyway, back to Sarp’s accident, Sarp wanted Asiye to delete the video. I think he was afraid of his mom finding out that he wrote those bad stuff about her on the walls but still, I think after his fall and if he explains to his mother that he was trying to kick the Erens out, she will forgive him so I am curious about why Sarp will defend Asiye. It’s not clear if it’s Sarp who pressed charges or if it was Seval. The police will come and ask him about how he fell at the hospital so let’s see what he’ll say then.
In the teaser, it looks like Aybike went to Berk’s house.
Berk:"I love you more than you love me"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The teaser shows Berk holding a clip that says "You have a message" then when he opens the clip it says "I love you".
Tumblr media
Aybike probably gave him this clip. I just love how she has been showering him with love lately ❤️

Chapter 5: Waltz (Waiting for Heartbreak)
Happy Valentine's Day! Summary: When Essek's mother insists that it's time for him to marry, he thinks he's doomed to spend the remainder of his life in a loveless marriage. That is until Caleb volunteers to pretend to be his fiance until Essek can find another solution. Link to chapter 1
Being invited to a ball by the Bright Queen is no small affair. As soon as the invitation was received at the Xhorhouse, screams of excitement filled the entire building. Caleb and Essek flinch, their studies in the library disrupted. Before they even have time to figure out what’s going on, Beau and Jester all but kick down the door.
“Oh my god, Essek! ” Jester throws her arms around the drow and shoves the letter into his face. “The Bright Queen invited you and Caleb to a party! Isn’t that so romantic?” Jester fakes swooning, forcing Essek to catch her.
Caleb suppresses a laugh at Essek’s expression, he’s clearly overwhelmed by the display in front of him. Beau plucks the letter from Jester and tosses it over to Caleb. Sure enough, the letter is an invitation to a ball the following week. “I’m sure it is not as romantic as it seems,” Caleb tells them. “You just like dressing in fancy clothes.”
Jester gasps and starts babbling about what kind of dress Essek should wear. With an exasperated look, Beau hooks her arms under Jester’s and drags her from the room, kicking the door shut behind them. Caleb looks over at Essek and holds up the letter, “I take it this is not an invitation we can ignore.”
“Ah, no,” Essek says regretfully. “In fact, it is probably advantageous that we do attend, clearly the Queen thinks our relationship is legitimate enough.”
Caleb hums, “Very well. I will need your instruction on what to prepare. It says that we will be staying the night in the castle.”
Essek’s ears turn purple, “Gods.” Caleb can’t help but smile at Essek’s embarrassment, whatever this event entails, it’s going to be fun.
When they enter their suite in the Bright Queen’s palace, Essek stills.
It’s a beautiful room with brocade curtains, plush carpet, and walnut furniture. But he passes all of that, his eyes falling to the bed in the middle of the room. It has deep blue curtains canopying it and has a luxurious amount of blankets and pillows. As Caleb walks in beside him with no reaction, Essek realizes that in the Empire, this doesn’t have the same meaning.
“Is everything alright, Shadowhand?” The servant asks, a young drow man with black hair. He sets down Essek’s bag on the side table.
Essek nods, eyes still locked on the bed, “Yes, thank you.” The servant bows and leaves quickly.
As the door shuts behind her, Caleb turns to Essek with a raised brow, “You look like you’ve seen a ghost.”
He shakes his head, finally looking away from the bed to attempt to hide his embarrassment. It’s no use, somehow Caleb always is able to tell. “It seems as though Leylas has made…certain assumptions of our relationship. No doubt this was intentional.” Essek tries to signal the end of the conversation by going to his bag and removing his small box of jewelry.

Critter Gen Week WIP Wednesday - Zone of Truth
I've obviously finished my Wildflowers fic (you can read them all here), but I'm still trying to keep my momentum going by posting a WIP related to Gen Week until the week rolls around.
Critter Gen Week is August 17-23rd, you can check out more info here. This one is for Day 4: Zone of Truth. It's still pretty sketchy, but I like it:
“Will you state your name for the record?”
“Taskhand Verin Thelyss, youngest child of the Umavi Deirta Theylss, current commander of the forces at Bazzoxan and protector from the Deeps. But you can call me Verin.”
The subject is young. Charming. Obviously rich in the way that those who are Den-born are.
“Now, can you try to say that your name is Leylas Kryn?”
The subject tries. He cannot. The Zone of Truth is apparently in effect.
“Good. We can begin.” My partner nods to me to watch closely. “What is your relation to the former Shadowhand Essek, formerly of Den Thelyss?”
“He was my brother.”
“Not is?”
“He was reported dead six months ago, after a failed expedition to Aeor with Caleb Widogast.”
“What do you believe he was doing during that expedition?”
“It was reported that he was investigating the ruins to bring back holy relics that had been discovered within.”
“That was not the question. Do you believe that he was bringing back holy relics?”
He sighs. “No. He probably saw something weird and dangerous and decided to poke at it with a stick so he could study its reactions.”
“Can you elaborate?”
“Essek had always been easily sidetracked. Dangle a problem in front of him and he’d want to dissect it until it was completely flayed. Chances are he was investigating something and forgot that he was in a wizard-killing wasteland.”
“The person he was with. Caleb Widogast, was an Empire mage, yes?”
“Yes.”
“Do you think that any research he might have had would have passed to the Empire through Mr. Widogast?”
“From what I’ve heard, since returning the beacon, Mr. Widogast has killed one member of the Cerberus Assembly, imprisoned another, and is angling to take down a third. It’s amazing that they’re allowing him to walk freely, but I doubt that they’ll be going to him for advice any time soon.”
“Fair enough. You said that his death was reported. Do you believe that your brother is dead?”
“Who put you up to this? Is this Den Tasithar? Are they angry that they got busted and need to take it out on the whole Den?”
“Please answer the question or specify that you are refusing to answer.”
“Look - ask anyone, I’m not the politics guy in the family. If I was, I’d probably shut up and know the best way to answer your questions. But even I can tell this is a hit job. And you know why?”
“Please tell us.” My partner says, dryly.
“If this is true, there is no win condition for the Umavi. Either she distances herself from her son and looks heartless or she defends her son and looks like either a fool or a traitor. And the Umavi is a perfect soul, one who chose Essek to be part of her Den. Who approved of all of the responsibilities he was given. How can a perfect soul react to such a situation? The only correct course of action would have been to anticipate such an occurrence in the first place - not given him access to do such a thing.”
“Nobody is denying that this looks bad for your family. However, this doesn’t answer the question. Any further stalling will be noted as a refusal to answer.”
“Yes, I believe that my brother is dead, because he is. He took a sabbatical right next to a deadly evil mystery city, and this was the man who spent his breaks trying to solve Novych’s theorem. That was unsolvable. Until he solved it. I believe someone is using his death as a convenient weapon to harm my Den, in part because Essek would have known what the outcome would have been, and I do not believe him capable of wishing so much harm on all of us.”
We had reports of Essek Thelyss's movements in Uthodurn that were less than a week old.

s8 of chicken girls was kind of whack but it did give us some hilarious moments that i think are often overlooked: pk’s reaction to the simone/leyla kiss, harmony’s underreaction to leo decking jordan, gus telling claire he was in love with her and her immediately firing him as her campaign manager, hayley leblanc out acting everyone even when brat gives her absurd dialogue

BACKGROUND.
Selin remembers the early years of her childhood as being happy, filled with memories of a loving family and what everyone would describe as perfect. As the youngest of three Selin was a smiley, yet clingy toddler who grew into a child who wanted to continuously spend hours playing with her siblings and following their shadows as at that time she looked up to them tremendously. She loved affection and attention from her parents until the day that everything changed.
When she was 11 years old it was revealed that one of her siblings was in fact not her sibling but a fae changeling. Selin was too young to fully understand and as far as she saw it Eda/Leyla was still her sister. For the longest time after they’d run off Selin wished that she had come back home to the family. However, Selin didn’t dare to voice this as it was clear from her parents' reactions that it would be wrong to think that way.
The years that followed were the opposite of her childhood and going into her early teenage years Selin stopped looking for the attention of their parents who were too busy arguing as their marriage broke down. She would seek that affection elsewhere in other relationships and in her early twenties had a string of failed relationships, most of which never lasted more than a few months. Her last relationship was with (wc) who is presumed dead. The last time Selin saw him was when they told her about Lunar Cove when hunters were after them. Selin fled with her eldest sister Safiye, the two came to Lunar Cove together a couple of months ago in hopes of a place they could settle safely.
Now residing in Shadow Lake Selin can be found taking yoga classes on occasion at Bliss Yoga. Although fitness is certainly not a passion of hers, it helps her to have something to work out any pent-up energy, and any workout that doesn't feel like a workout has to be good, right?
At other times she can be found creating handcrafted jewelry in her home that she sells online. If you take a walk through the farmers market you might spot her small pop-up stall displaying her items for sale too. You’ll most likely be able to spot her sipping coffee at the caffeine crypt or the daily drip since working from home affords very little human (or otherwise) interaction that she craves.

Reaction to suffering
Why was everyone suddenly so pushy? The yacht was big enough to harbour all these people, so why were they all suddenly pushing? There was a shove to her right, a shove to her left - soon enough they would all be stamping on them. She was still inside, trying to dance to the music, move some of the alcohol away so she wouldn’t have that suffocating headache in the morning.
“Is Justin Bieber here or what?” She said, almost to herself, once she finally noticed that the people were getting out, not in. Maybe she had drunk a little too much? “Hey.. wha-..?” She wanted to ask what was going on, but somewhere on the way to the bathroom she had misplaced her friends.
There was an unsettling feeling in the pit of her stomach as she began to notice the people making their way out, the exact time the music cut off.
Was it the end of the night? Must have been, the lights would go on next - the old school way of telling people to get out. She rubbed her eyes at the still shimmering eyes, because the music did stop, but the noise didn’t.
Suddenly, it felt all too familiar. The panicked people, the screams, the running back and forth, the pushing. That happened two years ago. It was New Year's eve. But that was away from anywhere they’d have been. Was there another bomb?
Suddenly, she felt afraid, so afraid. The flashbacks from events before kept coming at her, reminding what had happened before. Whenever there was a bomb there were so many people gone. So many that could not be helped. It was like they were taught in emergency camps - green, orange and red - for those who could be helped and those who they had to leave. The flashbacks at the hospital where there had been a shooting, where she prayed every day for Laurent to make it, because just decided to shoot everyone.
Was it going to be like that if she walked through that door?
Would she finally see what a person looked like chopped in half? A familiar face with a bullet in their head?
Her lip quivered as her legs stopped moving. The area was now fully deserted but the screams, the shouting, the gun shots - they were all ringing in her ears. But she couldn’t take a step forward. A cowardly response to whatever the other people were doing. Instead, she retrieved back, finding an empty space, something that, once she crouched down, hid her.
She was a coward, but she was thinking of her son. Their son. Leyla understood that Laurent would be there, in the midst of it all, doing whatever he needed to do. She didn’t know what was going on, she didn’t know what had happened to set it all off, and God, oh God she hoped no one she loved was in the middle it. Oh she hoped that it was just some drunken mistake.
But she screams outside didn’t indicate that. The screams outside only told her it was the worst of it.
So instead of going out there, instead of trying to find the people she loved, Leyla covered her ears and began to cry. To cry out of fear, for herself, for others out there. She should have walked outside, should have tried to find Laurent but she just hid.
--
Some time later...
--
“Miss?”
Who knew how much time had passed, who knew what had happened? Leyla didn’t want to know, she didn’t want to find out, she didn’t want to uncover her ears let alone face the reality. But the person hooked their hand around her wrists, removing her hands from her ears.
“It’s okay now, you need to leave.”
She shook her head, not wanting to leave her sanctuary, but the person didn’t give her a choice.
Soon, she was being led out, the light shining brightly along the water, along the deck.
Blood, there was so much blood.
Without wanting to, Leyla let out a small scream, taking steps back from the crimson red on the ground.
There was no way. Why did it have to be here?
The man led her through, removing her from the yacht, onto the land. She hid. And now she didn’t know what had happened, what she had missed. What if... What if... Leyla choked on another scream, though this one was quickly followed by vomit.
It was happening again.
Still shaking, she took out her phone, still hiding in the corset of her dress. Still shaking she dialed Odile’s number. His sister would know. She would know everything Leyla should have known already.
“O...” The news she heard, was something she had never prepared for.
As her phone fell to the ground, Leyla vomited once more, before fainting on the spot.
