“Roo, baby, you know I love you from the absolute bottom of my heart but I don’t trust your cooking. Stay out of my kitchen.” You order sweetly, pointing toward the living room with the spatula in your hand.

Rooster had come waltzing in a few moments ago, his baseball game having cut to a commercial break, and with one look at you buzzing around the kitchen with your hair messily pulled back against your head as you multitasked getting things prepped for tonight's dinner, had announced that he wanted to help.

To which you said absolutely not and he immediatley wanted to know why leading to the converstation you were currently having.

He grabbed at his chest, face twisting in offense, “Excuse you, for your information I am a fantastic cook. Carole Bradshaw insured that.” 

“And I have nothing but the utmost absolute faith in Aunt Carole’s abilities. What I don’t have faith in is your ability to pay attention and retain the knowledge of anything that doesn’t have to do with your F-18, Bronco or favorite sports teams.” 

“Are you calling me dumb Y/n Mitchell?” He accused.

“I never said that Bradley Bradshaw, I only meant that your talents and intelligence are more aptly applied in places that aren’t my kitchen.” You countered, putting emphasis on his name the way he did yours.

He stared at you for a moment, eyes playfully narrowed, trying to come up with good enough response to defend himself against your argument. He repeats your list mentally to himself; His F-18, his bronco, his favorite sports teams and...wait a minute-

Rooster's head cocked to the side and a smirk spread across his face as a thought suddenly dawned on him. You rose an eyebrow as he placed his beer down on the kitchen island and took a step forward crossing the distance towards you, “What are you doing?”

“You left something off that list,” he said softly, taking another step forward and pinning you to the counter with his hips. His hands went forward to rest on the edge of the marble on either side of your waist, leaving you with no where to go.

You furrowed your eyebrows and smiled in confusion up at him, “What?” 

His closeness was disarming and you never could think straight in his presence. Especially not with those dark brown eyes locked so intensely on yours, so your earlier argument had already slipped from your mind. 

“The list of things that you said I pay attention to and remember stuff about, you forgot something.” He repeated, breath fanning lightly across your face, “It's my F-18, my bronco, my favorite sports teams and you. I always pay attention to and remember anything to do with you baby.” 

Your breath hitched and you instantly became putty in his arms, heart melting right along with the rest of you. 

Your suddenly hit with the rush of an overwhelming amount of love for the man in front of you. Surging forward, you closed the small gap between you and brought your lips together in a passionate kiss. Your arms circled themselves tightly around his neck, spatula dropping forgotten to the floor, as you tried with every fiber in your being to express through your kiss just how much you freaking loved and adored him. 

The pair of you don’t separate until you both desperately need to breathe, gasping lightly as you do for air. Your arms remained in their locked postion around his neck, preventing him from putting any space between you, so he simply lowered his forehead to rest against yours, eyes falling shut. 

It’s silent between you for a few more moments as you basked in one another’s touch, breathing the same breath, before you break it by whispering, “I still don’t trust you in my kitchen.” 

Rooster doesn’t react at first but then suddenly he bursts into loud boisterous laughter. His head dropping down to your shoulder, body shaking against yours with the force of it.

He manages to recover a few seconds later and still slightly chuckling, squeezes your waist before lifting his head up and pressing one more soft kiss to your lips.

Rooster then proceeds to back away, freeing you from your postion pinned against the counter, and grabbed his beer off the island to return to his game. 

“Whatever you say honey.”

The premiere was huge, fans yelling, flashes of cameras and reporters trying to get the attentions of all the guests and cast. 

"Y/N OVER HERE!"

“JUST ONE PICTURE.”

Your manager led you to a clear walkway where photographers were lining up. You posed for a few seconds, eyes searching the crowd, looking at only a few cameras.

You knew he was staring already. With those perfect blue eyes, the blue eyes that make making your skin burn, made your body burn. 

You locked eyes with him, but pulled away quickly.

You had to let him know you knew. 

Your manager then les you over to an interviewer.

“Hi Y/n how are you!?” She asks and you smiled.

“Im doing great thanks for asking.”

“So you’re officially a rising star and have been named one of the actresses with the most potential, how does that feel?” She asks and you take in a deep breath.

He was there, right out the corner of your eye and he was getting close. 

“Honestly it makes me feel really proud of myself, a lot of people said I wouldn’t make it but here I am.” You laughed awkwardly.

“Thats great to hear, now i have to ask. That kiss scene with-.” You immediately cut her off, feeling your body heat up.

“Oh yes, it was a very good kiss, my first on screen kiss, im quite happy it was him.” 

He was maneuvered past people and thats when he passed by you. Your heart started racing and you couldn’t help but turn around. That asshole was already smirking at you. But it couldn’t help but make you stammer.

“S-Sorry about that.” You giggle and she couldn’t help but give you a knowing look. Your manager pulled you away again for more pictures.

“Its time to take a picture with-.”

“Fuck.” You mumbled as you watch him adjust his jacket and set his hands clasped together in front of him. It didn’t take long until he saw you and opened a hand out in your direction. You slowly stepped forward and wrapped an arm around his waist, but he instantly pulled you into a friendly hug(from the crowds view at least). 

“You look absolutely gorgeous.” He whispered and you smiled into his shoulder. 

“Thank you and you don’t look bad yourself.” 

“Smile.” You turned and instantly posed with him. His hand that rested on your upper back had made its way down to rest on your tailbone, just above your ass.

“Careful.” You warned and he chuckled.

“I have always kept my relationships out of the media, I know what Im doing.” He says, having to lean down so you could hear. You walked together to another section. “Happy it was me?” 

“Hmm.” You say still looking out to the cameras.

“That I was the one who kissed you.” His hand snaked around to rest on your side making your breath hitch. “Lets go inside.” He led you inside, keeping a hand on your lower back. He guided you through the people inside, only nodding at them in greeting before pushing you into a more secluded area(that area being a storage closet).

“You sir are getting much more bold.” You smile and wrap your arms around his neck.

“Can you blame me?” He pulled you in closely and pressed a kiss to your cheek. “Let me kiss you.” He pushed his nose into your temple before starting to put kiss down your face, getting closer to your lips. He changed direction and kissed behind your ear, making your stomach flutter. You turned your head and he smirked before pushing his lips against yours. 

You missed his lips so much

“We cant.” You mumble. “Not now.” Your threaded your fingers into his well done hair and his hands slipped down to grab yourself ass. He pulled back, letting your lips make a loud pop. 

“We should leave right now to my hotel room, order in, got that movie you wanted to watch.” 

“Tempting, I have an idea what we can do while we wait for food.” You looked him the eyes, giving him a sultry look to tell him what you mean. He bit his lip and your heard a deep groan in his throat.

“I like how you think.” He sealed your lips again and pushed you into the walk. He pushed his tongue in your mouth and let out a small gasp. He grabbed your ass again before lifting his hands and delivering a not so soft blow to your ass, making a slapping sound. You squealed and pulled away.

“Okay lets go.” You giggled and grabbed his hand and grabbed the door knob. He dropped your hand as you made it back through the crowds, putting on the innocent facade.

Okay because i put my thoughts in the tags the first time heres some of my spn au thoughts

Also disclaimer i am changing the supernatural story so dont get mad at me for not including things or changing things you like this is my house and i write the au <3

Characters: Dean -> Mav, Cas -> Ice, Sam -> Slider, John Winchester-> Duke Mitchell, Mary Winchester -> Slider’s mom (her name is also Mary in my Slider lore so), Bobby -> Viper, Ash -> Goose, Ellen -> Carole, Jo -> Bradley (he’s like a teen in this but don’t worry theres no Jo and Dean content 🤮 thats his godson) 

-slider and mav aren’t actually related, they were both 6 (mav older by a few months) when their parents got married, duke was a widower and mary was never married 

-Getting this out of the way although i love the chevy impala i am a truck freak so mav drives his dads black 1990 toyota sr5 with an extended cab 

Backstory: -viper and duke were both navy pilots now “hunting buddies”, they took mav and slider out hunting occasionally but whenever they went on long “hunting trips” they left slider and mav at home, that’s because these hunting trips were monster hunting trips

-the same thing that happens to sam and deans mom happens to mav and sliders mom but when they’re both around the age of 10, since they’re older and not stupid they have a lot of questions that duke can’t just bullshit answers to so he tells them about monsters and what he thinks took their mom (because he doesn’t actually know at this point)

-since they no longer have a house they stay at vipers or go on the road with duke 

-once they both start high school slider wants to stop hunting and stay with viper to focus on school, his relationship with duke gets weird after that because duke wants him to keep hunting to find what killed his mom but slider wants to do well in school to make his mom proud, they come to an agreement where slider stays with viper but once a month he has to come hunting

-slider leaves for university (idk what hes studying), mav graduates but stays with duke, he starts hunting on his own 

Now time: -This au starts in 2005 like the show

-duke picks up a lead on the thing that killed mary but is super vague about it when telling viper and doesn’t tell mav anything, he says he’ll be gone for a week but a week and a half later theres no word from him, viper refuses to go after him because “he’s gonna get himself killed” and “ive been telling him to let it go for years” but mav still has to go look for him

-mav finds slider and this basically carries out exactly how it does in the show, he agrees to help for one day, when he gets back his gf is dead, agrees to ditch school 😎 to come help look for duke

story wise thats all i've got so far, i want ice to come into the story a lot sooner than cas does in the show and i dont remember when ash, ellen and jo come in but i want them to come in sooner too. hopefully ill actually work on this more but i hope you guys enjoy

Ice was awoken to a phone call at 3’oclock in the morning, his eyes still crusted, still in pajamas. “Yes this is he, Admiral Kazansky”.

He slipped a kiss to Maverick who’s dead asleep on the bed tired still exhausted from the uranium mission. Out of karma he assumed , Ice’s bones cracked reminding of his age, and all the times he ejected during a mission.

Ice’s footsteps creaked down the stairs as he walked down them leading himself to the front door leaving to go and get a pilot of his.

Yet, when he entered the kitchen he was reminded of a man he met three decades ago, a man who was husband who acted just like he was going to go see.

Leaving him a little a note that read “ Cpt Athena Matthew”.

Ice nodded his head acknowleding the person in charged of Athena’s case”Doctor Masons”.

The doctor raised her eyes from the file”Admiral, I was guessing it was going to be you seeing that Admiral Mitchell was here a couple of weeks ago”

He thought back to couple of weeks ago, Maverick almost died—Ice almost buried his friend, and husband; the man thats make getting up ten times easier.

The amount of times he spent in the waiting room waiting to hear his husband was alive after pulling dangerous stunts.

And when he had cancer. The aggressive chemotherapy, fainting spells, a time were Ice and Maverick believed Ice was spending the summer underground.

Pushing his thoughts back soley focusing on Athena and only her.

“How’s Captain Matthews” Ice looked at her hospital door as if he had xray vision to see her.

“Her last ejection gave her level 1 concussion, and broken hand, thankfully thats all she suffered from were grounding her for three days and after that she needs to comeback for reevaluation” Doctor Masons read off the file.

“But I will say this Tom, there are injuries that healed incorrectly due to lack of medical care… something that happens to a child”. With those words the doctor left Ice alone infront of Athena’s room.

He knew what those injuries meant he had some himself. Injuries that have gone untreated and they heal forcefully wrong.

Ice also knew what felt to feel nothing, to feel like nothing, unworthy of love. He wasn’t about to allow his kid to feel it too, Ice would walk through hell if it meant showing Athena how much she means to the team, to him and Maverick.

He pushed the door open, expecting a sleeping pilot not a woman packing her small luggage.

She stopped like a deer caught in headlights“Sir”, Athena turning around ready to salute.

“Were not at work Athena” he reminded her gently. “Looks like your escaping”, again something Maverick has done too many times to count, more and more times Ice thinks this kid related to his husband.

“Ice, and no not escaping just preparing myself to leave”

Ice stood near the bed“Mhm” he inspected her eyes, they were blank—lacking guilt, anger, remorse. Facade Ice said to himself, fully knowing this was going to take awhile—her reputation proceeded her as heartless monster who didn’t care.

Ice knew better, its the reflection of a little girl who wasn’t cared for as a child, a little girl who spent more time in the hospital than outside. A child who knew how to do makeup as it sole purpose was to hide bruises.

“How are you doing kiddo?”

“Fine” Athena answered automatically.

Stubborn as a bull, maybe even worse.

He’s going have to try another angle, this isn’t working.

“Athena, cut the bullshit” he said staring at her sternly, “Want to tell me why you jeopardized the mission” he asked her, but God did this make his heart hurt more. He didn’t give a damn about the mission, only about his kid.

She sat up straighter than an arrow, her eyes glimmering with nothing“Admiral Kazansky I’m deeply sorry, send me on another mission, or punish me and I’ll prove to you that I am sorry Sir” he watched her eyes grow darker again.

He needed a bottle of scotch, and to kill whoever put those words into Athena’s head.

Who told Athena that her life was so worthless?

Who told her she didn’t deserve to tell her side first?

Athena’s facade was still holding up, yet he was getting closer to breaking it.

“Captain Matthews, explain to me why you stayed behind the other pilots when they left? to go to safety?” Ice questioned her, turning his back from her walking to the window staring out of it.

“Sir I was told to complete the mission unless there was danger around me, I’ve flown many missions while in danger and have still finished successfully”, her voice growing colder as she spoke yet Ice could hear confusion leaking into in her voice.

“Yes, you finished the mission Captain but at what cost?” he asked her turning to face her“Your life was at stake”. he getting ready to open his mouth when Athena cut him off.

“It would be better sir” she spoke “Better than the others, no point of wasting taxpayers billions of dollars”

Blood ran cold in Ice’s body he wasn’t mad at her he never was. He was mad at the people that have made Athena think her life was expendable.

He wanted to pace his anger out, but fearing he would scare the younger captain.

She looked back up at him again her eyes now scared and fearful.“Sir I like to turn my wings in”.

“I don’t want this to happen again, I don’t want waste anyone’s time or money”.

Ice’s heart broke into more pieces, how dare someone made her think like this.

He sat down on the bed —his face softened.

“Athena look at me please” her eyes staring into his waiting for an punishment to be given.

She was ready, ready to bare her skin.

“You are worthy”, Athen shoke her head, allowing tears to slip down her face. She looked away from him desperately wanting him not see her vulnerable.

“You are worthy”

“You are worthy”

Your loved, your not broken”

A sob cut off Ice speaking, “I-Im sorry” she said again but more emotional this time.

“Come here” he told her, she threw face into his chest.

More sobs came, they got louder before she calmed.

“Shh, shh sweetheart don’t want you fainting” Ice told her sweetly“Minor injuries don’t mean anything your still healing”.

His shirt drench in tears, yet he didn’t give a shit.

“Hold on kiddo, let me text Mav” he told slightly letting her go so he could text.

Ice: I secured the kid

Ice waited for his husband to reply.

Maverick: I figure you could wrangle her better than me, she may fly like me but she has your cold exterior.

Maverick was right she flew dangerous, yet hardly expressed her emotions. But her and Ice are going to work on that together,slowly getting her to open up.

Ice: Look like we have another kid, who’s gonna tell Baby Goose he isn’t the eldest anymore?

Ice kissed her head as he leaned his face down.

Maverick: Duck duck Goose, can’t be me Mr. Kazanksy. I’m busy being Admiral :(

His foolish husband forgets he’s the COMPACFLT.

Ice: You are honey, and set up a room for her.

Maverick: okay okay I will and I’m already working on the room.

Ice: Love you Pete

Maverick: Love you too Tom

Later tonight he’s walking out the hospital with a kid again.

What the Kazansky-Mitchell fam in my weddingverse where icemav adopts Jake (see https://archiveofourown.org/series/3664390) would get from starbucks because i tried the pumpkin chai today and it goes hard:

Ice: Coffee. he doesn’t care what kind it is, as long as it keeps him awake and he doesn’t gags at the taste. Mav tells Ice’s secretaries to get him a White Chocolate Mocha though, as on their very first date Mav saw the slight smile on Ice’s face when he got it as a recommendation.

Mav: One rule of their house is that Maverick cannot order coffee on his own. The last time (multiple times, actually) he did, he got his usual Caffe Vanilla Frappuccino with 11 extra shots. He was bouncing off the walls for 48 hours, and he did try to get Ice in bed every once in a while. Ice doesn’t ever want that to happen again. (Heavily based on the fact that when I first started drinking starbucks, I always got a caramel frappe and i tried to put as many shots as I possibly could- thats how I figured out that caffeine doesn’t really work on me- and that I REALLY dont like coffee.) Mav also appreciates a chai on special occasions.

Rooster: Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso. Yes, he knows it’s a mouthful, thats why he never lets Jake order for him. He also LOVES Pumpkin Spice Lattes.

Hangman: Jake HATES coffee with a passion. The only time you will catch him drinking coffee is right before a dangerous mission, so he doesn’t fall asleep in the damn cockpit. When Bradley tried to get him to try his Pumpkin Spice Latte, he actually spit it out, right in Bradleys Bronco. He (was forced to) cleaned the car with a toothbrush and a grudge. He gets a Pink Drink, and no, he doesn’t care about the teasing when Nat gets starbucks with them, he is secure in his masculinity, thank you. He also likes chai, but not that much to get it, but he (and Bradley) was excited when the new Iced Pumpkin Chai came out this year, and he LOVED it.

Bonus Nat and Javy: Nat likes her Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew with extra shots, and Jake has asked her if she enjoys pain and suffering over it. She doesn’t care because “Just go enjoy your unicorn drink, Bagman.” Javy is loyal to his Iced Peach Green Tea Lemonade, and one time Jake had a sip and loved it, but he forgot the name of it and mever got to taste it again… well until he asked Javy again a year later.

Sparkling eyes

Warnings: Short but sweet, but it was just about one scene so :)

a/n: Sorry it took so long to post, I was in Mexico for 10 days

Maverick is a cocky son of a bitch, and everyone in town knows it. He gets what he wants usually without any effort. Life is smooth sailing for him. He gets to fly and the girls come running to him usually.

That is until he meets you. It's a hot summer night in southern California, and maverick and the Bradshaw trio decided to go to the fair.

The night is going smoothly, maverick is having a good time, flirting with the occasional girl but mostly just having fun with his friends. That is until he and Goose go to meet up with Carole and he sees you. The way your eyes sparkle and you throw your head back laughing have him frozen in time. It's like all he can see is you.

"who is that?" he finds himself asking, but if he's honest his voice doesn't even sound like his own.

"oh thats carols cousin, she's visiting us for the summer"

Pete finds himself giddy at the information, a whole summer? He envisions all the fun you two are going to have together. Pete never being the kind of guy for sublte, when you walk off the ride he walks right up to you.

He's standing so close, if you tilted your head just a little bit you'd kiss. You're taken aback, and his blue eyes are sparkling so brightly with a slight smile pulling at his features.

"Dance with me" This irks you just a little bit, you know his type. Demanding what they want from people and always getting their way. You're not about to be his next notch on his belt full of notches.

"No"

"Why not?"

"because I don't want to" and with that you turn and say yes to some guy who asked to go on the ferris wheel. You turn to Carole to ask who the hell that was as he stays where you left him.

"that's maverick, he's Nick's pilot" The thought makes you roll your eyes, of course he is a pilot.

"did you see how close he was standing?" Carole laughs at this.

"yeah he was really close, I think he likes you" You just laugh at that and brush off the thought. Navy men like him just use people and leave them, Carole found the only diamond in the group, you were sure of it.

It's not a bad night though, you get on the ferris wheel with a guy who's name you can't remember, another navy man who stands no chance. As you get on the ride making dreadfully boring conversation you can't help the fleeting thought that dancing with him would have been more fun.

You catch his eye as you round the ferris wheel, hardly listening to what the man next to you is happily going on about. What startles you is when he comes running right for you. The way he jumps right onto your seat in between you and George? You really should have listened to the name he gave.

"what are you doing?!" you shout, as the ferris wheel goes around.

"My name is Pete Mitchell, let me take you out sometime?"

"No way!"

"Why not?"

"because I don't want to!" He raises an eyebrow at that, and then he jumps onto one of the bars right in front of your seats.

"Go out with me"

"No! get down Pete!" and man he loves the way you say his name.

"Not until you agree to go out with me" and then he lets go with one hand and your heart is racing.

"cmon man, she said no" the guy beside you spoke up, if you're honest you forgot he was even there.

so the kid that plays young adam during days in the sun is this kid, adam mitchell (HIS NAME IS ADAM— but that’s not what we’re talking about right now.)

i was digging around trying to see if the actor had any older photos out there now, (meaning, him being older in age) given that it’s been seven years, but it doesn’t seem like he continued screen acting as he still only has two movie credits

BUT ANYWAY. i found out that he is miscredited as “rudi goodman” because that’s the kid that was ORIGINALLY playing young adam. because (and i already knew this part, but) young adam wasn’t originally going to sing. his mother was supposed to sing that first part, and then present day adam, (beast!adam, if you will), actually sang a part too. but they shook things up and decided to cut his mother’s part, and His Part, and have young adam sing instead. (which, as a side note, i’ve heard that first version and i personally like the movie one better! but it is cool to hear his mama sing to him 🥹) anyway the problem was that rudi couldn’t sing. so they had to recast young adam with an actor who could sing! which is how adam mitchell landed the role.

#i can HEAR his voice say this #and im probably the only one #at least here #he was my modern world history teacher in 10th grade. he thought my name was sophie AND a completely unrelated teacher also thought my name #was sophie. same semester. an hour apart #and then i found out that my mom almost named me sophie. so if i ever need an alias.... #AND mr. mitchell was also my psych teacher senior year. his class was always my favorite. and he rarely assigned hw. and it was really funny #he forgot my name cuz his daughters name is olive and olivia is pretty close to that. some people even call me olive. but no apparently im a #sophie. the other teacher made more sense. there was a sophie in the class and she has nieces named sophie and olivia so she remembered our #names but forgot which was which. but i have many fond memories of mr. mitchell. he has a very distinct voice and knew how to work it to his #advantage. kept peoples attention. made him more approachable. he used to let me and my friends hang out in his classroom during lunch and #watch youtube on the projector. he had us watch silence of the lambs in class. everyone was deeply disturbed that me and my friends could #recite it line for line. id only actually seen it once before but my brain loves to hold on to movie dialogue. but i managed to memorize my #teachers voice well enough to be able to hear his tweets. itd be weird not to have an inner voice. and be able to hear other people's voices #in their head. if i worked at it i could probably mimic voices pretty well. be great for a voice acting career. thats what i wanted to be in #high school btw. i wanted to be a voice actor. or a comedian. still considering it honestly. i could do stand up comedy on youtube. #ive really been considering that lately. wouldnt make much money but itd be fun. now i just gotta try to get my brain to focus on a topic #enough to write some bits. i have all these ideas and my brain is like a toddler bouncing excitably from topic to topic and not sticking #with one long enough to get anything cohesive out of it. idk. would anyone watch that? is that even a thing? i guess i could try animating #it? im asking my grandma for a new drawing tablet for christmas. i need one with a screen. my brain doesnt make the connection that whats #happening on the computer is screen is what im doing on the tablet surface. i need to be able to see my hands while im drawing. otherwise i #just get a headache. digital art would be easier for me cuz theres less steps to setting it up than with setting up an area to paint or #something. less steps is good. less steps means my brain has less time to get distracted from the objective. i love art but the process is #so daunting. and i think my pencil sketches are shit so i try to go more detailed and include more mediums. but then it just fucks it up #then im back where i started. at least with digital drawing if i dont like what im drawing and get frustrated i can just x out of it. with #physical mediums you have to clean everything up and decide what to do with your disaster and possibly throw it out and then wish years #later that you kept it so you could show your progress. did this happen to me? maybe. now obviously you could just delete it off your #computer and itd be just as lost as the one you threw away BUT its much easier to save some copies of the different parts of the process. #with physical art you might have just done it in one sitting on one piece of paper and once thats gone its gone. of course you have to have #the foresight to have saved the copies but i imagine it would become a habit after awhile.

COLLEGE TOTALLY SPIES -- i was really obsessed with this picture right here and i thought that the picture would be a good premise for a little four person group based on totally spies. i was thinking that these three college students/young adults some friends maybe not some enemies or just on completely different ends of the social agenda get bonded together when they accidentally end up roped in a top secret spy organization that is fronted by a record store. the details and flesh of the plot i think would be cute to figure out all together maybe in a google doc or a big discord so we can make the rp to perfect world building specifications. right now i have two spots open!
