with the new year comes some little bits of housekeeping, and it's mainly how i plan to approach interactions moving forward. the plain and unfortunate truth is i suck at keeping up with messages. it's easier the closer i feel to someone, but i can still get easily overwhelmed. i'm still forgetful, both with messages and interaction calls. so this year, i'm going to do my best to act in accordance to my strengths and stop pushing myself to do something that i simply don't have the mental energy to do constantly.
what does this mean? well, i won't be making plotting calls going forward; instead, i plan to make lists of plots for each muse as well as general plots/dynamics i want, and i'll approach you if you like one of these posts. this should make dynamics easier to develop since we'll already have a starting place. i will also occasionally reblog a plotting meme of some sort, so if you want a more personalized idea from me, those will be the way to go. i probably won't like plotting calls myself unless i have a pretty solid idea in mind.
when i make starter/inbox calls, i'm going to start placing a cap on them so that i don't bite off more than i can chew. if i get through that initial cap, i might raise it if i still feel good enough to do more, but if i don't, it's okay bc i guarantee i'll make another interaction call before long! i just need to start doing this bc i honestly forget what i owe within a few days if i get busy.
and i want to be honest -- the little interactions make me more comfortable around my mutuals and more likely to pursue interactions. liking my headcanons/ooc posts/etc., commenting on posts, and sending in memes ( ic or ooc ) show me you do have an interest in what i have to offer. i understand reaching out is nerve-wracking bc i get nervous, too, but reaching out can be something as small as liking a post. and this is just a general note in regards to my own comfort that i might put in my rules! i guess what i'm saying is, if you're having a hard time approaching me, just a little interaction will help me bridge the gap, if that makes sense. if both of us feel shy but at least one of us reaches out even in a small way, we can make a connection over time!
i think that's it for the time being! i promise i'll be doing my best to show my interest even when it's hard for me to talk, and i hope these changes make it easier to connect <3

as somebody who is currently living through the worst trauma and depression of my life, i gotta tell you:
you cannot live on coffee
coffee cannot be your replacement for sleep or nutrients. it will become less effective over time and mess up your endocrine system (the system responsible for hormone and sleep regulation). your stress and anxiety will increase and you may put your heart and kidneys at risk. you also might shit yourself sometimes
this may all seem very obvious but its possible to be in the mindset where Living On Coffee makes sense to you
what i'm saying is coming from a place of experience. and love. you cannot live on energy replacements. no matter how tasty
eat veggies. drink water. sleep. you can do other things, you can indulge, i promise! just please, do basic self care too

... how am I meant to get any sort of restful sleep when it's like 85F indoors in my bedroom at NIGHT .. hhhhhhhhhhhhhh
#why the next poll adventure and everything else has taken so long lol.. I straight up have just not done anything#the past few days... staring down my todo list and sweating hopelessly#AT LEAST it;s relatively low humidity. the highest it's been up to is maybe 65%. but is usually around 50 or 40ish#There is one small window air conditioner in a roomate's room that can KIND OF be shared by nailing a sheet up to block off the hallway#with the rooms in it so the cool air goes into the other bedrooms but doesnt flow out into the kitchen or etc but#wjhen it's the time of day that the sun is directly hitting the window & it's like 102F outside even that doesnt help much. to cool 3 rooms#and I always feel like we're going to explode the air conditioner or something running it too much with direct heat on it. sometimes it#smells like hot plastic or whatever ghj.. so it's mostly just.. block off all windows with 5 layers of blankets and cardboard#starting at 10am (meaning.. no indoor light for days basically.. no natural lighting.. time passes weird. hard to determine time of day).#throw water on the bed every night so you sleep in wet sheets and keep your clothes and hair wet at all times. ice. cold drinks. keep a#little fan running pointed directly at you nearly 24/7 even when sleeping with a fan blowing air on you makes your eyes and throat painfull#dry. etc. etc.. and i KNOW people have it worse in plenty of places blah blah. i am just complaining on my little blog that is about me lol#I think the biggest thing about lack of adequate/central air conditioning for me is just the LACK of productivity!!! I am working on games!#and novels!! and so many other crafts. costumes! sculptures!!! things I want to do!!! we all have a limited amount of time on this planet a#nd I have so many goals!! To lose basically 4-5 days straight or producivity - when if I had been able to temperature#control my environment better I could have easily gotten more done because I wouldn't be laying around nuseous and too hot#and sick to do anything all day etc. -- is like.... GRRRRRR... it just feels so senseless.. i could have USEd that time...#Every CEO who has contributed to global warming owes me 1million doallrs to fund my art projects and make up for all the time#I've lost on them due to their stupid bullshit.. also they should be stoned to death in a public square. but redistribute the money FIRST#to everyone on the planet. but especially people who have been affected by floods. fires. etc. etc.#poor people who have limited choice in housing and access to air conditioning. homeless people in cooling centers. people with disabillitie#and health issues that are worse in the heat so the entire future just seems increasingly terrifying for them. etc. etc.#ANYWAY.... eughhhgh.... It can cool down SLIGHTLY at night but the past few nights I have been sleeping in an 81 degree room and I wake up#and first thing in the morning its like 82 by then and I'm so nauseous and nasty feeling... just so so tired of it.. #it’s going to only be another few hours but I am so relieved and competent until then#remember to move#stretch release yawn shift unclench and relax down#and remember to drink#water or juice or coffee or soda or tea or anything else your body likes right now#and remember to eat#if you haven’t had something in the last 3-6 hours at all#try to eat just a couple bites of a snack at least just so your body has a little bit of something for blood sugar and calories#or if food is too hard try to drink something with high sugar or consume a smoothie or shake or oatmeal/applesauce/yogurt#since they can be easier to take#and remember to give yourself medication#for any chronic or acute needs please make sure you take something if it will make it better#you can handle low level constant stuff a lot I know#but you don’t HAVE to it’s okay to take a break every now and then and get a little help#or even rest if you can#a mild headache will still be better or gone if you take something for it#tolerable but draining chronic illness symptoms are background noise I know#but sometimes we can all use the reminder that you actually COULD give yourself a little break if ‘better’#if you treat yo self by using a heating pad or extra electrolytes or as needed medication or cool cloths or a brace or earplugs or a fan etc#you can feel better a little bit and it’s not a waste of time#it’ll help you with everything else too#so check with your body for a moment just to see where you’re at with needs for#water food meds and comfort#and choose on purpose to be easing to yourself today if you can. you’re not a machine masquerading as a human. it’s okay to need.#reminders#(in the tags)#personal#add to journal#happy tag#i can actually be good for a momen

I drink. Far too much Dr. Pepper. Far more than anyone should. It is my favorite beverage, and the house always has some so more than anything it is Convenient. Which is the main deciding factor in what I drink. I can just grab a can and go no cups required
Sprite usually if no Dr. Pepper is available at a restaurant or something. Mtn Dew I only drink if it's poured from a cold 2liter and I am eating Little Ceasars pizza
I also like Yoohoo! Chocolate milk my beloved. And just regular milk I sometimes drink too. If we have chocolate power in the house (for chocolate milk or hot chocolate) I'll like, have a few cups for a few days and then just start eating the powder
Hmm Cool Blue Gatorade if I'm dehydrated/in period pain/sick
And sweet tea! Sweet tea used to be my main drink before dr. Pepper became so abundant in the house. And I love it! But alas, it is not convenient, bc everyone else loves it, and a gallon is gone in a day

since a lot of you seem to be dehydrated fucks, i promise you that your mood will get better once you start drinking water regularly
it will also reduce your headaches/migraine considerably (body pain too)
it will help clear your skin as well !
get a few pretty bottles and always keep one close to you (youll get there i promise !)
you can keep a few in the fridge so you always have cool water !!
you are allowed to add a flavour to your water too (i dont use these so idk for a fact but iirc these flavour packets arent too expensive)
now, it will not solve everything and heal all your problems, but it is a good place to start to begin feeling better. i promise !!!

actually very pissed off. just got to my desk and it seems someone has come in to clean. in the process, they have moved things around on my desk including a monitor, my plant and sticky notes, and binned a bottle i had kept on my desk PURPOSEFULLY so i could reuse it, as it was a big bottle that i actually brought ALL THE WAY BACK FROM ITALY with me last year. for 10 weeks i have worked here and never has anyone touched shit on my desk or cleaned in our office. i'm actually upset. i am seriously upset. GIVE ME BACK MY ACQUA PANNA YOU ASSHOLES.
