Brittana: Yes I love them unconditionally and no I will not apologize for it. Pure love in its truest form (no I won't be taking criticism stay mad💁🏾‍♀️)

Sue/Sue: The best ship, no questions asked. Also means Sue won't subject a romantic partner to her toxicity which is a surprising amount of (probably unintentional) responsibility from her

Samcedes: They're cute. I know they're not "officially" endgame but it's implied they get back together eventually right? I really liked their healthy communication in season 6 even if they did break up afterwards

St. Berry: Soulmates frfr. Jesse's a prick, but outside of season 1 treats her so well and always pushes her to be her best. I think Rachel really taught him how to love. Also just so much chemistry

Wemma: Only reason it's not ranked higher is because Will doesn't always do right by her (like when he let her ableist parents make him doubt his relationship with her😐). They're a pretty solid couple overall though

Finchel: They have their cute moments, but it's hard to get into them when they have so many issues, a lot of which were never addressed. Finn only pursued her when he couldn't have her *cough* when she was with Jesse *cough* and otherwise complained about her constantly. Rachel was more likeable when she wasn't with him tbh (like in the majority of season 2)

Artina: Why even have them get back together? They broke up in season 2 when he treated her like garbage and then she was happy with Mike for years only for the writers to break them up for no reason. Tike was cute and so off to the side that they could have kept it and nothing would have made a difference. Why did the writers hate Tina?

Klaine: To be fair a lot of this ship's failings came from how inconsistently and downright terribly Blaine was written. But still, when he proposed it felt like Kurt wasn't even happy. And it only felt like they got married because everyone pushed them to. Nothing about this ship was ever enjoyable to me, not even in season 2

Quick: Why'd they do Quinn like this😭 I get Puck had changed and that's great but she said to Rachel in season 3, "I can't imagine my past dimming the bright lights of my future." And then she gets with Puck😐 They should have kept her single tbh, her learning to love herself without a man involved was meant to be her whole arc (I also headcanon her as ace, but that's just me🤷🏾‍♀️)

Sometimes I rewatch Glee and I’m just struck by the fact that the only guy I can actually buy Rachel as being legitimately affected to is fucking Jesse, meanwhile she has all of these like, C H A R G E D scenes with girls and I’m supposed to believe she’s straight. Like, the Glee writers look me in the eye and tell me that Pezberry never explored each other’s bodies, and I’m supposed to just believe that

right? we have a season two chock full of incredibly charged Faberry interactions being juxtapositioned with Finchel's awkward clammering and dead eyed stares and I'm supposed to come away from that thinking that Finchel is the one to root for? I'm supposed to watch any interaction that Pezberry has ever had and I'm supposed to root for that St. Berry endgame? faberry: i already mentioned this one in the last ask pezberry: i feel bad cause i know they're your faves. i do find their canon dynamic more interesting than some others here but as a ship is another that wouldn't occur to me i think finchel: they range from being just uninteresting or annoying together to me, but makes enough sense considering how much screen time they got brochel: brody isn't a real person to me. well these are all fake people but he's more fake than the rest i guess. but there's no reason it wouldn't make sense, at least st berry: i find them funny in scenes together, so compelling points

i always found it kind of interesting that Rachel wasn't there for Finn's prom freak out. But lbr, if she was there, she'd have looked the other way. Same as they forced her character to have no real reaction to the outing and to be flattered by Brody's assault. And this is what we mean when we say Finchel bring out the worst in each other. Because THAT girl? Is not the Rachel we actually like. It sucks when writers smother her progressive and assertive nature to coddle her crappy boyfriend.

As in, narratively? Well she needed to be the pity party. I'd like to think she would have tried to stop Finn and reason with him but the version we get of Rachel in these episodes is probably not the one to have done that. More realistically, I have a feeling she'd scold Finn a tiny bit but would be more disappointed by Quinn for having "faked" things. Which she didn't but we know that's what the ep says. But overall I think, confusingly, they wanted to go for a Faberry vibe overall so it was easier not to have Rachel there.

I agree though, Finchel bring out the worst in each other. I think it was during my rewatch of s2 in particular where I really felt like the only times I was annoyed at Rachel were Finn-related. Part of the reason it took me a while to embrace my love for Rachel is the Finchel of it all. They're truly just not meant to last despite this meant to be bs the show tries to shove down our throats. Rachel outgrows Finn so early in the series. Good for her for the 4x04 pre-Scientist speech because she finally gets to assert herself.

In general it's a very Finn thing to take women's agency away and make things about himself instead of their pain and Rachel, the woman he claims to love is no different. People love to say the writers had the sun shine out of Rachel's ass and she's certainly favoured in many, many ways, but when it comes to actions and being portrayed as the ultimate good guy, it's Finn (and Will). Rachel was at least allowed to mess up. She was rarely allowed to call Finn out though because of course. Yet another missed opportunity for a storyline where she realizes this knight in shining armor is a lot more messed up than she thought.

Oh and don't get me started on all those instances when Rachel claimed Finn was a much better person than her. Villain origin story is Fapezberry being framed as heartless bitches compared to the oh so noble Finn.

And it's not even the fact that Finn did these things, it's the fact that he either a) was "justified" or b) made out to be the righteous, noble hero for them. Santana was antagonistic, you weren't supposed to condone her actions. And Rachel and Quinn were always being called out. Glee had Finn do abhorrent things and still made him out to be the good guy victim in the end

You mention that you used to like F*nchel but eventually lost interest. Is it because the love triangle storyline got boring/dragged out or just they as a couple weren’t really entertaining anymore?

In S2 it was the love triangle getting boring. Also, Rachel cheated, so I thought it’d be ridiculous to get them back together. Then in S3 I lost all respect and interest in Finn after Mash-Off/IKAG, so I didn’t care less for his ships, I started actively disliking during the proposal storyline, cause that was taking up too much time and ridiculous. Theeen Finn sent her on a train to NY/accused her of cheating/beat up Brody so his dumb ass can be blamed for any lingering Finchel feelings disappearing. Thanks for the ask!

okay so I don't know why so don't ask me why but I'm about to start my glee rewatch lol idk I just felt like rewatching it (mostly for santana and brittana lol) not looking forward to reliving finchel though I hate them together I was always a jesse/rachel and puck/rachel shipper lol and I also loved finn/quinn and I was a quick shipper at first then hated them but rewatching videos on youtube made me like them again for some reason maybe because I'm older idek but we'll see if I end up shipping them again on my rewatch lol but regardless I'll always be a puckleberry and st. james shipper lol
