Once again, please stop reblogging from lesbian-archives. They have tags for rad feminism, "gynocentricism", "womb envy", antiprostitution, and separatists tags along with other similar terminology in terf and swerf communities on their blog. It's literally within the most used tags when you go to search. Plus they used to reblog from terfs often enough and use said tags until they decided to be a lil more cryptic I guess....

Very hot take but I do not believe "SWERFs" exist. Radfems care very much about sex workers and dont shame them for doing what they must to survive. Advocating for the Nordic Model and the severe regulation of the porn industry is not excluding sex workers. Critiquing the system that makes poor women and dysphoric people turn to sex work because of a lack of social security is not excluding sex workers. Criticizing the widespread sexualization of simulated rape and abuse against women and children is not excluding sex workers. "SWERF" is a meaningless, reductive label because if you are a radical feminist who doesn’t actually care about sex workers you aren't a radical feminist.

Liberal feminists are the real sex worker exclusionists (SWELFs??? lmao) because they only care about virtue signaling and blindly supporting an industry that marginalizes women than womens liberation. They dont "include" sex workers. They "include" pimps, johns, and violent pornsick men. And it's a disgusting misuse of the feminist label.

Help me turn my friend away from sex work??

A young woman has been grooming my friend for sex work and I’m trying to stop it.

My friend J is a smart but naive and trusting woman, she is well aware of what prostitution is and is rad-leaning in pretty much all aspects. But this woman C is a stripper and firmly believes that she has all the power and there’s nothing weird or wrong about men she doesn’t know masturbating while watching her.

She’s been talking to J about how eMpOwErInG stripping is and you don’t have to do it for any guy that makes you feel uncomfortable, and how good the money is etc. J is trying to get out of an abusive home situation so has deferred uni for a year to work and save.

J has talked with me about doing topless waitressing. I challenge her to think critically about whether she is comfortable with a man perving on her and then jerking it over her later.

Plus, J is the most non-confrontational person I’ve ever met. She doesn’t stand up for herself EVER. She works in retail at the moment and constantly gets intimidated by customers who demand discounts or whatever, she also can’t stand up to fellow workers who try to bully her into bending the rules for them.

How she thinks she could stand her ground and say no if she gets pressured into “if you do topless waitressing then why not strip if you’re a stripper why not just have sex with that guy for even MORE money”, I have no idea.

Please help me! I cannot watch this beautiful sunflower of a woman be abused by the patriarchy. What are some totally rational, logical arguments and/or statistics I could show her to make her realise what a slippery slope she’s considering?
