Okay, soo I've been a big fan of the crossover pairing of Antwan from Free guy and Nigel Billingsley from the newer Jumanji films and the fact that they don't really have a ship name yet has been bugging me for a while now. I've been thinking about potential name smushes for them, but if any one can come up with a good one when the last names Hovachelik and Billingsley are involved I'd be kind of amazed 😅 and calling them angel 1) doesn't fit in my head and 2) feels too generic of a word for a ship name. I may have had a revelation the other day, though, when I thought of calling them NPCEO. Thoughts?

These characters are played respectively by Rhys Darby and Taika Waititi. These characters have nothing in common. They're not even from the same movies ! What ship were you completely obsessed with as a teenager, but now you don't care about anymore?

Well I didn't really get into shipping until uni, was not really aware of it as a teenager. But one of my earliest ships was Grell x Sebastian and I don't really care for it anymore.

Mostly because I don't really care for Black Butler anymore. The later seasons were bad, and I'm less inclined to look over the problems that were already there from the start.

(A bit sad, there are still good concepts there 😔)

Which ship would you consider your first one?

Not sure, probably Data x Geordi? I strongly remember being obsessed with Data when I first found Star Trek.

This one is easier: L x Light from Death Note. (First read)

Absolutely no idea. But the first video edit I saw of a ship was definitely Spock x Kirk.

Het-Ships where the guy just won't take no for an answer. The whole "don't give up eventually she will say yes" is such a bad trope that is way too common.

Like don't get me wrong, I love Darcy x Elizabeth. That someone says no once and then gets to know the other person better and changes their mind can be done well. But so often it is not, and it just looks like he wears her down 🤮

It’s going to take me about five hundred thousand years to have finished enough of this fucking behemoth of an obscure rarepair story to be ready to actually post Chapter One, but when I do, I sure hope you all enjoy it as much as I’m enjoying letting it consume my every waking moment in writing it.

Nigel Billingsley, Jumanji field guide, surveyed the landscape surrounding his cabin. All was still, almost unnaturally so, though he knew the stillness to be deceptive and short-lived. A solitary call of birdsong shone through the quiet air. Did you know, thought Nigel, that the resplendent quetzal builds its nest 200 feet in the air? Why, as a matter of fact, he did, he thought. Indeed, Nigel knew many interesting facts about nature, a useful pocket of knowledge to fill for a field guide, of course. It was good to fill the idle time between this crisis or that, or the arrival of a new adventuring party, with reading up on topics relevant to his vocation.

And oh goodness, did he often find himself with an awful lot of reading time on his hands.
