by comic i just mean like one page which hopefullyyy i'll do soon and it's not one of the many ideas i forget about gkjhdkfg

and!!! well. i've seen a lot of ppl compare sonic to the sun/stars already, like sonic and knuckles having a sun/moon dynamic (which is v cool) and then in undefeatable "i'm what you get when stars collide", which is specifically about super sonic. also super sonic being compared to the sun as yknow he's golden and glowing lol. so i'm basically taking all those ideas but then also applying my love of stars to it!!!

so by blue stars i mean both o-type and b-type main sequence stars (which is like. a normal not dying star. our sun is also main sequence) which are the biggest and hottest main sequence stars, AND live the shortest bc of it. like literally the brightest stars burn the shortest, that's not only a cool phrase but a scientific fact. and doesn't that sound like a certain blue hedgehog? going around being a bright beacon of hope and saving the world but putting himself in so much danger he'll probably die young? :')

another fun thing about these blue stars is they can go supernova!! our sun is too small so will never do this, when it gets old it'll simply expand a bit (well, enough to swallow up all the planets) and then the outer layers will blow away. but bigger stars? they go through the same process of expanding but then collapse under their own weight and depending on the exact mass and contents of the star, this collapse causes either a neutron star, a black hole or- BOOM. supernova!! (funnily enough, another way of forming a supernova is from certain types of stars colliding!) these can be bright enough to be visible in the day and be brighter than an entire galaxy. so yknow *gestures to super sonic* he's like a supernova!! albeit a lot more controlled

the detail of this comparison i like the most is that a supernova is the death of a star. a very bright and beautiful death, and the elements created in the process go on to form new stars and planets (and us) but a death nonetheless. sonic's super form uses up his life force and if he stays like that for too long, he dies! it's a controlled explosion! he is extremely powerful while actively dying, so it's an obvious connection for me to make!! also ofc because they're blue stars and he's also blue lol

unrelated to sonic now lol but supernova also leave behind rlly pretty remnants, for example the crab nebula!!

if you want examples of actual blue stars too, the constellation orion has rigel! (the bottom right star iirc) this is actually a system of like. 4 stars? 3 of them are b-type stars and the biggest is actually a blue supergiant (essentially in the process of dying, it will eventually go supernova). another orion star, betelgeuse (top left) is currently a red supergiant but used to be an o-type (so it's also in the process of dying, when it goes boom it'll be as bright as the moon!)

so ummm yeah. i think this was more me rambling about stars than sonic LOL but yeah i think if we're going to compare sonic to a star, then a blue star is a much better fit than our sun 😤

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE ITTTTTT apart from the fact i like corruption kinks in general hehe this one is now added to my books! AND THE INCORPORATION OF DEMON ANGEL DYNAMICS JUST MADE IT SPICIER 🔥 hyuck being drawn to innocent little y/n 👌🏼

probably one of my favorite moments in tropes like this is when the ml enjoys and is amused by the fl falling apart at the most featherlight touches and from then on would go insane from anything further and deeper than that AND I CAN SAY U YOU PORTRAYED THOSE DETAILS VERY WELL IN THIS FIC 🫶🏼

apart from that, my fave would also be that it was meant to be sort of a one time thing for hyuck but suddenly feels something that he can't help but want more and perhaps stay longer but hehe circumstances circumstances given the character dynamics (STILL LOVE IT THO)

Zak, I need to thank you for getting me to watch Encanto because OH MY GOD YOU WERE RIGHT, THIS MOVIE IS INCREDIBLE!! Honestly, I had 0 plans of watching this until I saw your posts, and then I was intrigued, and now I'm so glad I did!! I grew up the eldest daughter of an Asian family so I really related to both the older sisters! I think a lot people like mr had to face exceedingly high expectations because they were expected to "set a good example for their siblings". I think my favourite line in the movie was from Isabela: "What could I do if I just knew it didn't need to be perfect; it just needed to be, and they'd let me be." BECAUSE SAME I'VE BEEN ASKING THIS QUESTION ALL MY LIFE

And oh my god, Abuela's flashback at the end tore me to a thousand fucking pieces, I cried so much 😭 I see so much of my own grandmother in Abuela, especially since the story of how my family came to settle here is unfortunately very similar to how Abuela came to settle in the village, genocide and all. And I understood why she acted the way she did. It doesn't necessarily justify her actions, but it explains a lot. As an immigrant, my grandmother always felt like she had to constantly had prove to the community that her and her family was not a burden, that she was useful, and that only by doing so will they be accepted, and only by doing so will all the sacrifices not be in vain. I like to think that maybe Abuela thought the same way.

ANYWAYYY thank you for bringing me to this movie, I cried a lot but I'm really happy I found it!! Happy New Year!! Here's to everyone trying to work through generational trauma, it sure as hell isn't easy, but at least none of us are alone <3

IT'S A RLLY INCREDIBLE MOVIE. for me, nothing missed. A+ music, frigging inspired scenes and utilizations of the south american magical fiction vibes, this very good article "Disney’s Encanto isn’t just about representation — it’s an act of defiance" written by José María Luna made shed a new light to everything i already loved about the movie, and yep yep

the characters n plot

huge agree on isabela's theme being the Perfect One, gosh, and im rlly glad her song was able to resonate with u. genuinely, this movie had a character for everybody to relate to. like, my older sister (not the eldest but the eldest girl sibling in the family) hugely related to luisa and her vibes of needing to be the strong one who always shoulders every problem. and i....hugely fucking related with mirabel //sobs

the entire lyrics and scene of Waiting For A Miracle did not have to go that fucking hard. lyrics alone (i had listened to the song before watching the movie) already made me cry, what with the undercurrent of "im not like my family, i am a part of my family but im not great like them" like whew huge mood haha. im part of a family thats obv not magical but might as fucking well be. literally everybody is like......so goddamn renowned in their field. a legendary polsci professor mom who so many admire who creates such meaningful literal change in the world, a dad whos written amazing plays that have been performed for decades to the point that theyre ingrained into a special tradition, and my siblings already have made names for themselves in places that matter and---yOU GET THE POINT. the song alone hit too hard

i was not prepared for the scene itself. this....joyous occasion, everybody is happy, and mirabel is happy too but. shes not in the picture. she looks at the picture of the family and it's a perfect picture and idk theres that feeling. look at this family, it's perfect and happy and brilliant so long as im not there. the mediocre middle child, the one who hasnt done anything of note, the one thats not special in the slightest.

it's a fucked up sentiment to have nurtured in a person; the thought that youre the only hang-up stopping these people you love truly achieving absolute joy and excellence. the song shifts, mirabel wants to be more, she wants to be like them, if only she was like them, she'd do so much, shes ready, but all that drives the contrast home. me and them, different people.

pause from my oversharing but heres a funny thing that lives in my brain rent free: in middle school, a classmate met my family and enthusiastically told me "your family is so cool! you should be more like them :D"

i was just wondering have you ever thought of writing an age regression/little space fic? like where bts are oc’s caregivers & she’s a little! like non sexual age regression like to help cope with trauma and stress ect. i was just wondering cos i’ve been reading a lot of your stories and they make me feel rlly comforted & i get caregiver /little!y/n vibes from a lot of ur stories and i think you’d be really good at writing a story like that! but obviously not forcing u to do anything especially if it’s something you’re not comfortable with~~ i was just wondering like your thoughts (but also remember u don’t have to answer this either)

oh bub, you phrased your words in the nicest way possible so no worries! you have not disrespected me in any way at all. regarding little!au, i've read them before but in all honesty, i'm not sure if i would be able to interpret it in the correct way because a lot of psychological stuff goes into it and if someone were to come into my inbox asking questions about it, i'd be just as confused. that's not to say it may never happen in the future because no one knows what the future holds, but at the moment i don't think i'll venture into that au. i have indeed thought of exploring it before, perhaps about a year ago when i was first introduced to it, but for now it hasn't been on my mind 💕

S im sorry im asking this question but im really confused now like I believe HL never broke up like never maybe not talk to each other for some days cause of fights but never broke up but I've seen a few larries saying they broke up not necessarily in 2015 but maybe in 2014/'13/'16 but are together now, now im confused dont we call out twarries for believing HL broke up but now some larries think so too ,so I wanted to ask what do u believe ,cause I dont think they ever broke up , thanks S

i think that comes from a couple different scenarios. 1. ppl who don’t like thinking about bg so shoehorn a break up in to make the public timeline make sense to them 2. ppl who can’t imagine a young couple being together for a decade so just claim there must have been a break up 3. ppl who take lyrics as gospel so anything that sounds vaguely like sadness/heartbreak will be used as evidence.

i think everyones is entitled to their opinion so if ppl think they broke up that’s whatever to me 🤷🏻‍♀️ i personally don’t think they have, and think the collective results of all the events that have happened over the last decade, points to this conclusion. i will also say that i was not involved in active fandom for almost 4 years (end of 2016-2020) and just assumed they must have broken up bc pessimism lol. but as soon as i was actively involved again and actually caught up with all the things that happened during that time (like the fulllll picture) i realised i was wrong and at no point in the timeline of events does a break up make sense to me. anywayyy my point is that you’re always going to make things fit your perspective if you hyper focus on individual events but i prefer to look at things as a big picture and see what makes the most sense at the end of it.
