he'll hold your hand and everything while repeating "i love you too," for a second time, only this time he's serious about it too

"You know it's my motto to unalive myself with a beautiful woman. How lucky of you to have been bestowed upon this honour."

"I'll say yes if you join me in a double suicide," he asks with puppy eyes.

He lifts his chin up thoughtfully, fingers ripping open another packet of snacks. "You should be grateful I'm not a snitch. Eh, well," he shrugs, "You're now dating the greatest detective in the world! Congratulations!"

He stares at you for a few moments, looking like he's about to cry.

"Oh, alright then," he waves a hand around. "But don't you ever leave me."

He shuts the computers around him down and taps your outer thigh twice. You immediately stand up and help him up. He stares at you for a few seconds, contemplating something.

"You know, I never thought I'd enable others to call me a lovesick fool."

"Does that mean you are a lovesick fool?"

"A little, maybe," he turns around and walks out of the door while you follow him with a soft smile on your face.

Atsushi Nakajima

He's totally fine with it, and obviously he's not going to refuse. The first time you borrowed a T-shirt from him, He was taken aback and couldn't stop giving you that sweet look… Because of that he got into a lot of trouble…*cough* Kunikida...But the poor guy doesn't take his eyes off you.

Atsushi doesn't understand how you can look so good in his clothes than he does!

Akutagawa Ryuunosuke

As you can imagine, Akutagawa doesn't understand ''couple things'' like that and don't try to make him understand he'll call them trivial… and since they're trivial he doesn't care! Or at least he pretends his face doesn't turn red when he sees you pick up some clothes

Kunikida Doppo

He has so many questions. ''Why…? Why my clothes? You- wait don't- give me back!''

He knows he won't find a ''plausible'' reason, but Kunikida isn't mad, he's actually a little happy so he just sighs and gives you a small smile after writing it down in his notebook so he doesn't forget if one of his clothes is missing.

Chuuya Nakahara

Not only will he lend you his clothes but he will also stylishly match clothes with you. He has a good eye for fashion and nobody can disagree. When you asked if you could borrow any of his clothes his eyes widened and he quickly opened the wardrobe door

Sigma

Much like Chuuya. Sigma also has a good taste in fashion (Did you see his heels?! It's magnificent) and he will never think of this idea as a bad thing. When he sees you wearing one of his clothes at the Casino, he makes a point of taking your hand and making you spin slowly

Gin Akutagawa

*Blush and more blush* She can't answer you right away but know that she is so happy! She feels like those simple things connect the two of you…Gin might even secretly buy you a dress that looks just like hers so that on those rare days off, she can match clothes with her girlfriend on the date she arranged :)

ADA Chuuya thoughts in my head He's everyone's favorite he's cool and nice and he shows up to work on time if not early. Kunikida cries tears of joy when he comes to work one day and chuuya is there before him. He shows Kenji cool tricks and brings snacks for Ranpo and Kyouka and gossips with Yosano and tells Atsushi about his pm days with Dazai and goes to cat cafe with Fukuzawa and EVERYONE LOVES HIM and it drives Dazai insane because 1. He's no longer the center of attention and 2. Everyone is trying to steal his chibi.

"Yosano I trust you to handle this case."

"Sure boss but can I take Nakahara with me?"

"Ranpo I need you to go to the crime scene."

"I'm taking mr. fancy hat with me!"

"Atsushi kun please look into this case. Take an agency member with you if you need."

"Oh then Chuuya san-"

"Atsushi kun I'm your mentor!"

"You can come along too Dazai san!"

Annoyed and grumpy, Dazai makes sure to be as much as infuriating and clingy as possible when they get back home everyday. Chuuya absolutely hates it. (He loves it. He loves the stupid bandage wasting machine to the moon and back but he'll never admit it.)

Akutagawa is the only person Atsushi’s told about his hallucinations (and the only person other than Lucy and Fitzgerald of all people to have an idea of how bad the abuse Atsushi suffered at the orphanage really was), but Ranpo, Dazai, and Kyouka are probably aware of them to various extents.

Ranpo is Ranpo and has probably noticed how Atsushi’s eyes will absently drift to empty spaces in the office sometimes before he comes back to himself and snaps his eyes back to his work. He may or may not have guessed the cause. If he has figured it out he doesn’t know what to do about it.

Kyouka lives with Atsu and Dazai is his mentor. There’s no way they haven’t noticed that something is wrong with him even if they don’t know what it is.

• Oh he's so dramatic... (Even though he hugs you all night and rubs his head against you, or he might purrs like a big cat.)

• Because of the rules of the orphanage, he has a habit of waking up early in the morning, but the first thing he does when he sees you next to him is to blush and cover his mouth with his hands so that you don't hear him gasp.

• Then he puts his hand on his heart, because he feels that it beats very strongly and you might wake up from its sound!

• He stays in the same position for a long time and cannot even move.

• After he calms down, he finally finds the courage to sit up.

• He's still staring at you though, hoping you don't wake up.

• After shyly walking away from you, he quietly goes to the bathroom and then waters his favorite flowers.

• He tries to prepare breakfast and waits for a while for you to wake up and eat together.

Odasaku, Sasaki, and the orphanage headmaster are all buried in the same cemetery.

So Kunikida, Atsushi, and Dazai all run into each other grave visiting regularly and politely pretend they don’t. They never acknowledge the meaning behind the bouquets brought, even if all of them know the others know flower language. They never acknowledge the tear streaks down Atsushi’s face, or the solemn look on Kunikida’s. Atsushi never points out how the scent of whiskey is always a bit stronger on Dazai’s coat. They never acknowledge the location of their accidental meetings.

Sometimes Kunikida might offer to take them to get food, or Atsushi will offer a random hard candy from his pocket, on colder days Dazai might lend his coat. None of them are really themselves when faced with grief, and none of them will to hold it against each other.

ᴅᴀᴢᴀɪ.

It wasn't abnormal for someone like you to see Dazai cry. Nevertheless, it'd make him feel embarrassed, even pathetic for showing his emotions to you in such a way. And somewhere in his mind, he could see the faint looks of pity on your face every time he broke down, eyes glossy as he'd remember his old days at the Port Mafia with his perfect little friend group.

He was Osamu Dazai. He had experienced pain, loss, a few fleeting moments of joy, and so much. He had been through a lot. He did not need anyone's sympathy - even yours.

This day was, hence, nothing out of the ordinary. Dazai had trudged back home with heavy steps, dismissing your questions about his whereabouts and remarks about how drenched he got in the rain.

He had gone straight into the bathroom and locked himself in. It didn't matter how many years had passed since Oda's death. It would always feel like yesterday to him, so close yet so far away. It would always rip his heart out how if he had been there just a few moments earlier, he could never have had to watch his only friend die.

He sank to his knees near the wash basin and cried.

There was a knock on the door. Dazai scrambled to his feet to open it. He was in the bedroom after another breakdown, locked away.

"Dazai?" he heard your soft voice from outside the door. His heart warmed up a little and he opened the door.

"I know you had a bad day," you said, holding out a plate of freshly baked cookies, "so I baked you cookies."

Dazai looked down at the plate for a moment, then looked back up at you. He felt numb. He felt disoriented. Slowly, he reached out to break one cookie with his fingers and ate it.

"This... this is amazing," he said quietly, tears blurring his vision, threatening to break him down once more.

"It's not much. They're only chocolate chip," you waved a hand off. "Do you like them?"

"Yeah," he replied in a breathy voice. "Yeah, I do."

His ruined day had been perfected by a mere batch of cookies. As you urged him to have more, he finally smiled.

How could someone be so kind?

ᴄʜᴜᴜʏᴀ.

Chuuya was no stranger to drinking and passing out on his couch only to be woken up by you late at night so that he could come to the bed and sleep comfortably there. He felt pathetic for using wine and alcohol as a means of coping with loneliness, especially after Dazai left the Port Mafia.

"Chuuya?" you whispered softly in his ear.

He stirred in his sleep, one hand hanging off the couch while empty bottles crowded on the floor.

"Chuuya."

His eyelids fluttered open, and with a groan, he shifted on the couch, his hand instinctively reaching for the bottle that lay within arm's reach.

But before he could grasp it, you gripped his hand gently.

"No," you said firmly.

He paused to look at you before rubbing his eyes with his other hand and sitting up.

"I baked you cookies," you murmured, sitting on the couch beside him.

It was only then that Chuuya noticed his favourite cookies decorating a plate that sat on the table in front of him. You leaned forward to grab two cookies, shoving one in your mouth and the other in his.

With his mouth stuffed with a cookie, he couldn't help but stare at you as the events of the entire day crashed onto him all at once. A tear slipped from his eye - of joy, admiration or sadness, he did not know. But as he stared lovingly at the way you playfully scolded him for not including you in the drinking session, your voice muffled from the food, there was only one thought that crossed his mind.

How could he ever be stupid enough to believe that he was lonely when he had you?

ʀᴀɴᴘᴏ.

Ranpo was not the type to cry in front of people. With his child-like confidence, very few people had ever actually seen him in a vulnerable state.

So it was distressing when he realized you saw right through his fake smile. He felt like an idiot for not predicting that you would get to know about how upset he was after the President scolded him.

He lay on his bed. Even thinking was too tiring for him right now. His hair was all over his face, his head pressed against his pillow. There was a knock on the door, and he spoke in a quiet voice, "Come in."

You entered with a plate of cookies. They were shaped like little stars, each with a different flavour and colour. You set the plate next to the nightstand and gave him a soft smile.

"I know you had a bad day, so I baked you cookies."

"You... you did?" he whispered, his voice cracking as he slowly sat upright to look at you in the eyes.

"I tried. I don't know how they taste. I wanted you to be the first one to take a bite."

He nodded and you sat down on the floor, looking up at him and putting a cookie in his mouth gently. Ranpo opened his mouth and felt the savoury taste of your baking.

"I like it," he hummed.

"Really? Do you want me to make some more for you tomorrow?"

"You will?" his face brightened up genuinely. "I love you!"

ᴀᴋᴜᴛᴀɢᴀᴡᴀ.

Akutagawa was one to hide emotions from everyone. He did not like to let others think of him as human, but rather as a creature to be feared, and someone to be proud of to Dazai.

Since the night Dazai had been abducted and Akutagawa had interrogated him, the latter had been quiet. He was never to talk too much or overshare, but it could be sensed that something had hurt him deeply.

"Ryuu?" you said softly sitting down next to him.

"No," he looked away, shunning you out before you even got the chance to speak.

"I know you had a bad day," you smiled softly, "so I baked you cookies."

He glanced at you from the corner of his eye before his heart melted. You had the most beautiful look on your face, two hands supporting a plate of cookies. He had never told you what his favourite ones were, frankly he couldn't decide. Sweet things just weren't for him.

But these ones, the ones that you made just for him? These were his favourites. The ones you had made that showed how much you understood him.

At that point, he realized he did not have to change himself to gain the approval he desired in the past. He had already won in life the moment he met you.

LOVE LETTERS TO YOU

Summary: In which they receive a love letter from you..

•OSAMU DAZAI

Confusion ran through Dazai’s mind as he noticed the white envelope with his name and a heart on his desk at work.

He’d knew exactly what it was as soon as he saw it, the heart in itself gave it away, but it was more the question of who it was from.

He opened it carefully, immediately looking at the signature before he read the words written upon the letter.

His eyes widened with a small blush for a second before he started smirking.

He knew you had some feelings for him, that much wasn’t too hard to tell with the way you defended him from Kunikida occasionally and even helped with paperwork sometimes (much to Kunikida’s dismay and surprise).

He hadn’t expected a full-on love letter from you, especially not with your name on it..

Oh well, he ought to read the letter, right?

His smirk grew as he read it, creeping Atsushi out in the background.

The letter started with a couple things about how you first met then went on about how you came to feel about him from them.

Most of it was compliments and praise, praise about how he plans things out so well, compliments about how he looks so well all the time and lots more.

In all honesty, Dazai hadn’t been remotely thinking about real relationships but now you mention it…

He might just wait for you near the agency door and jump out at you with a hug, who knows..

•ATSUSHI NAKAJIMA

Atsushi’s hands trembled as he held what seemed to be a love letter in his hands.

He’d seen it on his desk and asked Dazai what he thought it was, to which he replied that it was definitely a love letter.

So, deciding to trust the brunette’s words, he opened it carefully and began reading it.

It started off with a couple compliments, which got Atsushi blushing already, then progressed into even more compliments and an extremely flustered Atsushi.

He couldn’t really believe it at first, the idea that somebody he knew liked him that much to spend time on a letter? Quite crazy..

He’s not used to such kind words so by the time he finishes the letter, he’s completely red.

He gets even more flustered when he reads your signature at the bottom.

Like, seriously?! This isn’t some prank from Dazai, right?!

He’s in denial for a moment before he catches a glance of you walking to your desk and decides he’ll ask if you could take a walk with him in a bit.

Later, he nervously confesses to you under a Sakura tree <3

•NIKOLAI GOGOL

When Nikolai first sees the envelope, he barely checks who it’s addressed to before he rips it open recklessly.

As it opens, he’s slightly surprised to find what seems to be a love letter but immediately starts reading it.

He’s absolutely ecstatic, giggling like a school girl as he reads through the endless praise and compliments you wrote.

He does a small twirl once he finishes reading the many paragraphs of what you like about him despite his crazy personality, still giggling to himself.

Once he reads your name at the bottom of the page, he’s blushing crazily.

He’s quite flattered, it’s not often someone goes out their way to write about their feelings to him so there’s no way you’re going to be able to hide from him anymore.

No matter what you or him are currently doing, he’s going to find you and drag you away to confess his everlasting love to you in an extremely weird but endearing way.

•FYODOR DOSTOYEVSKY

When he first sees the envelope with a small heart on it, he’s already narrowed it down to people he’s aquatinted with enough to be able to get into his office.

He picks it up, checking for a signature or name before he opens it carefully.

He’s not particularly interested in relationships so he’s a bit annoyed, though more rather uninterested.

He checks the signature when it’s open before reading any of the proper content, wanting to know if it’s worth it.

He paused for a moment before his facial expression morphed into that of a smirk.

He knew you liked him, it was somewhat obvious, but he supposed it wouldn’t be too bad to read it if it’s from you..

So, he read through the letter slowly with a smug facial expression.

He knows the praises you wrote about him are true, some of them just common sense to him but the compliments do feed his ego, no doubt there.

When he does finish the letter, he has a tiny blush on his face, one that only people with extremely great vision could see.

Now he’s heard your thoughts on him, he’ll visit you very soon.

Well, he does need someone to help with his ideals, you might be good at part of that.

Don’t be surprised to walk into a room and find him waiting for you with a calm facial expression.

Atsushi joining the agency was such a huge win for Kunikida's "Make Dazai A Marginally Functional Human Being" agenda

because before telling Dazai to take care of himself just would not work since Dazai always just played it off with a joke so it went like:

Kunikida: You haven't slept in a week Dazai. Go To Bed or I'll take you there myself.

Dazai: Oh? Kunikida-kunnnn you want to take me to bed with you? how forward~~

but now its :

Kunikida: Dazai, I can't believe that YOU HAVEN'T SLEPT PROPERLY IN THREE DAYS

✧Dazai would whisper the sweetest things to you before you sleep asleep in his arms, snuggling on his chest as you both hug each other in the middle of the night. He personally would compliment you every time you met, his loversick eyes never leaving yours as you both hold hands.

✧Ranpo, is a type of a person who makes the whole world know he loves you. Everyone deserves to know how the great detective loves his S/O. He would shout how he cannot live without Y/N's presence and how much you care about him.

✧Atsushi, despite being the shy guy of this, makes sure you hear how much he respects you, loves you and that he was happy to finally have someone who accepted his flaws. Your words always made him calm, and he hoped his words did that too.

✧Chuuya would make sure you are heard how much he loves you, as he would say 'I love you so much Y/N' every time you return from the mission. He may have difficulty putting right choice of words, but once he is drunk he makes sure you hear everything he has for you. He love you damn so much Y/N.

✧Akutagawa, is not the one to be one with words, but he makes sure you are okay after any mission you do, his body despite trying to hide his concern for you, his eyes showed you how much he worries for you, and once in a while he would slip up how much he is happy to have you.

✧Dazai, despite being termed as one of the most laziest people by most people, he would buy you a cup of coffee/tea every time you enter your office. You would reach your worktable and see a cup of coffee/tea, just for you by yours truly Dazai. Despite his disappearance, his gestures warm your heart.

✧Ranpo, willingly saves a packet of gummy bears for you, knowing how you love them and the smile you give when you get the packet makes him happy, the site of seeing you smile always warms his heart and he makes sure he is there for you to never let the smile of yours down.

✧Atsushi would be a kind of a person, who would make sure you never loss your things. He would fold your thrown clothes at the corner, knowing how tired you must have been after the mission and as your lover he made sure you deserved the rest you wait for all day long. He doesnt mind washing dishes or cleaning the apartment, as long as you are healthy and happy.

✧Chuuya would insist to make you both lunch when you both are alone back at your apartment. He also willingly helps you clean up the high up areas in your apartment (his ability helps a lot). Of course, that always ends up with you both cuddling and sleeping on the couch.

✧Akutagawa is a person of action, as his normal service would be making sure all your injuries are healed. He doesnt mind doing the grocery shopping for your apartment, seeing how tired you are. He cant cook, he cant clean but he can make sure the stocks are up at the house.

receiving gifts

✧Dazai loves to buy you flowers. He says they remind him of you, how those flowers get reborn into a better version of themselves, every time someone takes them down only to get them become the best. You often laugh at his explanation, but its heart warming.

✧Ranpo loves to buy you food, despite his carving for snacks, if your eyes lay on anything he is willing to buy it for you. He likes to buy you ice-cream every time you both go on walks outside.

✧Atsushi likes to write letters to you, maybe even small notes here and there, telling you how much you mean.

✧Chuuya like ranpo, would buy anything your eyes lay upon. He personally likes to gift you bracelets, or any of the jewellery he thinks suite you. He would be the person who buys you perfumes too.

✧Akutagawa unlike others, don't try to gift you anything. But in rare or special occasions he once in while would buy you a cup or coffee or tickets to show you wanted to see but neither of you had time too. (he makes time for you)

quality time

✧Dazai spends his quality time with you usually on you bed as you both snuggle close to each other, stealing kisses and sleeping.

✧Ranpo spends his quality time almost everywhere. He is like a lost puppy, who always follows you behind. But his all time favourite is when both of you walk hand in hand towards your apartment.

✧Atsushi and you spend your time taking scrolls in park, holding hands and laughing on smallest topics you both can think. He loves talking to you and listening to your voice.

✧Chuuya often would take you out on frequent dates, from fancy dinning restaurants to grass fields stargazing at night.

✧Akutagawa and you spend your time together in silence, just your presence enough for him to feel safe. Maybe both of you go grocery shopping together, debating if 2+1 was a necessary offer to take. Who says quality time is just dating them?

physical touch.

✧Dazai loves the way you both have physically long time hugs, the perfect fit to a puzzle. He loves to give you forehead kisses and would give you side hugs whenever he passes by you, saying how grateful he was to be blessed by your presence.

✧Ranpo would be spooning you round, his arms wrapped around you as you both would sit on your bed as you would give him nose kisses only for him to kiss your lips and comment how it tasted like strawberries.

✧Atsushi would blush if you ever kiss him, but he gets brave and once in a while give small kisses on checks, while you hold hands walking in public.

✧Chuuya would be the one, giving you full kisses on lips whenever he sees you. Both of you love it when you both are in physical contact, your hand on his, skin on skin and nothing could come between your worlds. Hug, kiss, sleep you name it, we all it all from this man,

✧Akutagawa would make sure you are always close to him, as you both would stand whereever the situation is. He would pull the sleeves of your dress indicating for you to stand a little closer to him to which you would smile at yourself and hold his hands.
