album review; madonna's bedtime stories

♡ overall rating: 6.2/10

It’s like someone tried to do R&B, but didn’t listen to any R&B music beforehand, you know? Everything that’s supposed to come off as smooth, connected, and coherent is messy and dragged on at best. There is s o m e substance here, mainly found in the title tracks of the album (Human Nature & Take a Bow), but having two semi decent tracks surrounded by nine other bore fests doesn’t make that great of an album. I did like some of the lyrics I heard (Survival was only rated a 6 because of its lyrics), but it’s not enough to save Bedtime Stories in the slightest.

A song by song review can be found underneath the cut. My favorite track is Human Nature. My least favorite tracks are Secret and Inside of Me.
