Clothing set I recently finished for BS Elsweyr. Meant to have a casual version for monks to chill in and a training set equipped with bells for extra challenge.
Originally based on some sketches done by @sothasil but at this point the design has been ship of Theseus'd into oblivion.

An armor for Beyond Skyrim.
These guys are enforcers from Rimmen, a faction who patrols the city-state's territory to keep locals in line. Needless to say I hope future players have fun attacking them
This design was based on a light armor set for the same faction, as well as on various historical european armors! I tried to balance out plausibility with fantasy flair :)

Note
You know those cheesy pasta dishes with all the fancy add-ins like heavy cream and garlic so we can all pretend to ourselves that we aren't just eating mac and cheese like overgrown children? What sort of equivalent dishes do the people of Tamriel enjoy, that are basically just dressed-up "kid food" dishes?
Who doesn't love a cheeky meal that brings back memories of childhood? Across Tamriel, you'll find all manner of simple, hearty foods that will make you feel like a kid again!
Altmer
In Summerset, young and old alike enjoy mochi, a tasty sweet snack made from chewy glutinous rice flour. Mochi comes in many varieties, with fillings like sweet peanut or black sesame paste. However, almost everyone's favourite is a cold mochi filled with soft gelato of various flavours. My favourite combination is matcha mochi wrapped around a moreish azuki bean ice cream centre.
Argonians
Is there anything that makes you feel more like a kid than some snacking? Argonians are huge fans of anything that packs a crunch, both sweet and savoury. Whether it's spicy and sweet crickets, dark saltrice sauce-coated mealworms, or just good old prawn crackers with some dipping sambal, be prepared to snack your way all day long in Black Marsh.
Bosmer
If you're one of those people who stands in the kitchen gnawing a block of cheese at midnight, you're in good company in Valenwood. A popular late-night treat served at street food vendors across the Province is a simple cup of grilled witchetty grubs slathered in timber mammoth cheese sauce and topped with pulled pork. The grubs are meaty in flavour, and the pungent timber mammoth cheese complements the pulled pork when mixed all together, as the locals enjoy it.
Bretons
Pain au chocolat? Yes please! These deliciously buttery puffed pastries are essentially rectangular croissants enveloping delicious dark chocolate. Served warm, they're sure to make any breakfast or teatime a happy one! To really satisfy those chocolate cravings, pair with a classic Breton hot chocolate, complete with marshmallows and whipped cream.
Dunmer
Marshmerrow cake is the ubiquitous Dunmeri dessert that has gained popularity far beyond the borders of Morrowind due to its mild flavour and unique candy aroma. A soft sponge cake, which is sometimes soaked in comberry brandy, is layered with sweet marshmerrow crème patissiere, caramelised marshmerrow crumble, and maraschino comberries. Sure to knock some years off your age and put a couple more holes in your belt (it's impossible to stop at one slice. Source: me).
Imperials
There's nothing quite like homemade gnocchi with ragout for Imperials when it comes to comfort food. While this homey dish is prevalent across Cyrodiil, every household cooks the dish differently. In mine, my mother pan-fries the gnocchi in an obnoxious amount of butter, and tops it with her top-secret slow-cooked lamb and red wine ragout. While I cannot give away the secrets to her ragout, I highly recommend trying this delicious dish a try when you need to warm yourself, body and soul.
Khajiit
If you think you can turn away cinnamon and cardamom churros with a cup of moon sugar caramel dip, you're deluding yourself. This delicious treat can be found across Elsweyr and is considered one of the Province's most famous foods. Khajiiti churros, which are made from a mix of rice and tapioca flour, have a moist and chewy texture beneath a crisp, golden brown outer layer. They're served hot from the wok, with a cup of moon sugar caramel syrup. A truly divine pairing!
Nords
Spätzle is something I've written about in the past, and it's one of the best things I know (ask any resident of Skyrim and they'd tell you the same). These chunky egg noodles may look unrefined compared to Khajiiti vermicelli, but make up for it when liberally doused in a creamy cheese sauce and topped with fried onions. I like spicing mine up, quite literally, with some chili powder I purchased at a Sentinel bazaar.
Orcs
Nothing screams comfort food (and mess) quite like a good old echatere sausage hot dog. The echatere sausage, rather akin to Blackwood chorizo in flavour, is grilled over hot coals and served in a sourdough bun, served Wrothgar style with a good amount of horseradish mayo, fried radish chips, caramelised onions, pickles, and crispy dried baby shrimp topping. I'd say you can't stop at just one, but it's a hefty meal you can eat with one hand!
Redguards
I have probably written about gulab jamun in the past, a delicious, albeit cloying dessert popular throughout Hammerfell. An iconic dish at festivals and parties, gulab jamun is prized by dessert-lovers for its velvety, syrupy texture. These fluffy balls of cardamom-scented cottage cheese are fried and soaked in a fragrant saffron and rose water syrup, and topped with crushed pistachios. So simple, so good, and so moreish. Just be sure to stop at three, because any more and the sugar rush will send you to Aetherius!

do you like any expansion mods for skyrim? there are soo many and im not sure what to try first haha.
I don't know if I've really played one I'd 100% recommend yet... but also, I am insanely persnickety.
Maybe some folks will sound off in the comments as well?
I have played:
Beyond Reach (completed)
Pros: the mystery was intriguing. I kind of liked how grim it was (at parts.) The setting was decently cool, especially the non-Nirn realms.
Cons: JANKY TO THE MAX. Does not feel like it takes place in the world of Tamriel. Super dark themes, frankly dumb takes on Orcs and Reachmen, the modder clearly had a thesaurus at hand while writing dialogue. Really dumb "gotcha" twist at the end. Do not recommend.
Moonpath to Elsweyr (completed)
Pros: neat little linear story, impressive for being one of the first ever mods, it's about Khajiit.
Cons: it is one of the first-ever mods, and shows its age. Maybe play once, but be ready for some jankiness.
Clockwork (completed)
Pros: SUPER strong opening, one of the best openings of a modded quest I've played. It's nice and spooky, and pretty technologically impressive. Insanely gorgeous, detailed house.
Cons: mostly becomes a series of fetch-quests, and at least one part where you have to retrace your steps, until you get everything upgraded. You do get a cool house and transport system out of it, if that's of interest to you. Nothing tops the first part, imo.
Project AHO (not completed)
Pros: very Morrowind, if you're nostalgic. Very, VERY pretty too. Has a tool that lets you craft spellbooks.
Cons: the story. There's a particular part that annoys me, where you feel railroaded. This is also just my opinion, but... I hate the house it gives you and I hate that it adds huge metal Dwemer struts all over Skyrim. They're hideous.
Carved Brink (completed)
Pros: insanely pretty
Cons: story is okay? nothing to write home about. The special way of navigating gets old.
Here's a list of other mods I want to try someday:
The Forgotten City
Skyrim Extended Cut - Saints and Seducers (the Extended Cut project is something I really hope to see completed, the idea behind it is awesome)
Sirenroot (idk if this counts as an expansion, but I do want to try it!)
Legacy of the Dragonborn (I'm a sucker for museums and collecting)
Beyond Skyrim: Bruma (but I may just wait for BS: Cyrodiil, due to low content)
Sorry, I wish I could come up with some actual recommendations! I am just terrible at actually playing quests (I like picking flowers and walking around XD)

updated j'kharni's character sheet to finally include his vampire lord form! and also what he looks like in his underwear cus why not
here's his bio: nocturnenebula.com/ocs/fan-ocs/jkharni
to give credit where credit's due, a lot of the design elements were inspired by the beyond skyrim: elsweyr project, especially their design document by @/sothasil which you can find here: https://sothasil.tumblr.com/post/638219878263832576

Well, if you're taking questions on Beyond Skyrim...
What is the most basic, least spoilery description of the plot and situation of Eleswyr?
I'll answer for our pre-release and not the main game, as we are not working on Pellitine!
Our pre-release focuses on two cities: Rimmen and Riverhold, each with their own quests, and the neighboring regions.
Rimmen, like the name hints at, is populated by humans, descendants of a sect that followed Reman, who were granted asylum cross the Cyrodiil border and established a city-state there. Their culture grew distinct from the imperials' and holds the akaviri to special importance. They got very rich by controlling natural ressources who's nature they keep hidden, and eventually started terrorizing the local khajiit by their slave trade. The current state of Rimmen is of a grand city build through cruel means, who is struggling to find allies in other people because of their practices, who simultaneously fears and wounds the neighboring khajiit clans who want to end them.
Riverhold is comparatively peaceful. At the border with Cyrodiil and on a slow riverbank, it's in the middle of a fertile region dominated by wheat fields. The town shows a blend of khajiit and imperial culture. The town is in the middle of a few factions - the empire, the dominion, Rimmen and the rest of Anequina all want a piece of that cake but the town lies in statis, slowly decaying and with a lack of a proper identity. Nobody wants to abandon the town (yet) but nobody's there to stand up for it either.
As for the big Main Quest™ for the final full mod, we plan to center it on the void nights, their consequences on Elsweyr, and include a bunch of khajiit lore classics like the moon gates and dro-m'athra 😺 🌙

Arkngzel - or the Gifted City - is an expansive, sprawling ruin that extends deep underground in the northern Velothi mountain range. The city itself was only partially underground and boasted capacities to support well over 150,000 individual occupants (although it has been suggested that the population never reached far beyond 10,000), partially thanks to already-existing farms and settlements within the city's above-ground limits and the incorporation of underground agriculture surrounding an subterranean aquifer (and the complex network of pipes that carried the aquifer's water to the city's districts).
A fully equipped academy, rivaling the size of the Arcane University itself - as well as a massive Orrery in its center - sits in the heart of the city. Its upper levels are home to a massive garden spanning dozens of city blocks, complete with different sections that once held flora from Morrowind, Skyrim, Cyrodiil, and (what would later become) northern Elsweyr.
The origins of the city are not well known. The upper levels were built upon far older ruins, potentially dating back to the Merethic Era, but considering the hazardous conditions and structural degradation of the lower levels, research is currently unable to be performed.
The structure of the city is highly symmetrical, suggesting that it was built by a single architect within a relatively short period of time, as opposed to the asymmetrical structure of naturally developed cities. An engraving suggests the architect is Aknathanch, an eccentric Tonal Architect notable for their unorthodox behavior. Recently-unearthed documents recount their marriage to an unnamed Chimer noble, a move that received harsh criticism and condemnation from their colleagues. Some theorize that the city of Arkngzel was built to be an escape for Aknathanch and their lover in the event of a war, but no evidence has been found to support this claim as of yet.

General impression on each of the providences (sans, perhaps, Cyrodill, if you’ve already covered that), both positive and negative? (Leaving it up to you whether or not you want to cover the various sub-cultures (I.e. East vs West Skyrim, the great houses of Morrowind, Forebears vs Crowns, etc), and to what degree you wish to cover them (the various tribes of Black Marsh, Valenwood, and clans of Elsweyr).
A broad topic, I know, but curiosity lends itself to asking theses kinds of question. Like I said, feel free to answer at your leisure; don’t want to annoy you with a question that requires an ungodly long post.
I’ll tackle it briefly and not go into too many details, we don’t have that much time, I think.
High Rock - I could do with it being so... wet, but all that industry makes it hard to enjoy the place. The fashion and cuisine are enjoyable... in small amounts and only for short period of time. Longer than a week in one of those over-starched collars or a corset they decidedly call “formal waistcoat” and someone is going to wind up dead, be in me or whoever gets in my way. Nice stocking though, gotta give it that.
Wrothgar - Cold, full of orcs. If I was to be sent to exile, this would be probably the perfect place to deposit me.
Skyrim - Cold and full of Nords, therefore worse than Wrothgar. Has no proper alcohol or savoury cuisine, the fashion scene is a disaster. Rampant magic-phobia, so not a place I’d favour. It’s only saving grace is the Reach which unapologetically shoves middle-finger into everyone’s eyes and doesn’t bother to pretend it is keeping up pace with anyone else.
Morrowind - Has all the bad parts of Nibenay: cutthroat relationships, insects, overgrown mould. Throw into slavery and religion of dubious consent and you get with the best textile export of Tamriel. I still prefer to interact with Morrowind through an intermediate.
Black Marsh - “What doesn’t kill you will give you the worst trip of your life.” Still, the Black Marsh is not that bad once you get your hands on a solid mosquito detergent, but the smell of the mud will linger for months. The Argonians are quite nice people as long as you mind where you step. It isn’t a horrible place to be, it’s just... why would you stay there? There is virtually nothing to do except fish, wrestle crocodiles and harvest leeches.
Elsweyr - Too hot, and also the locals aren’t exactly fond of me as of lately. Tooth-rotting sugar everywhere. One could have a great fun crawling through all the forgotten ruins, because unlike they with the Ayleid ones you have a sort of guarantee that you won’t find horrible abominations that will make you wish you had gouged your own eyes and eaten them, but once you realise that every riddle or puzzle just uses virtually the same answer (”Moons”), it gets old incredibly quickly. It’d make a great place for a fishing trip, though.
Valenwood - Zenithar’s bountiful bosom, let me complete my herbarium in peace!
Hammerfell - Since there is almost nothing to do in the desert but to wander and think your thoughts, Hammerfell produces way too many fighting philosophers. Some trees should be planted there or something. This much space is not healthy, and all those wannabe-wise men are getting on my nerves. I used to think it was just Sai Sahan, but no, it’s the entire Hammerfell.
Summerset - If the whole place sunk to the sea, we’d lose some of the most beautiful sceneries in the entire Tamriel and 83 % of the most hateful and vitriolic people on Mundus and quite possibly beyond. As far as I am concerned, that’s a tradeoff I am willing to make.

2nd of Frostfall, Morndas
Tel and I spent a lovely last day going around the city and enjoying the delights of the southern part of Elsweyr before our departure.
Having been so well received by Queen Khamira publicly, people were very willing to offer us tours and provide greater quality of food and drinks and entertainments. Tel was far more interested in the landscape and the artifacts of the museum than they seemed to be with the rest of the city.
I was thrilled to try the different foods and spices, to take in the various perfumed scents of spices and herbs, to try the various spirits and smoke mixes. I felt as though I was back in that space between the stars again. So light and beyond what one might otherwise be able to see or comprehend.
To be honest, I was very surprised we were not taken advantage of. Sure, some of the prices were inflated, but I had coin to spare. And I was more than happy to give back to the people of this land. Given what my own people have done to theirs, it was only right to pay back even the smallest fraction of that in coin. It was the least that I could do.
We returned to Mournhold and were met with a carriage that bundled us back and away to the manor. Sildras and Avon were waiting for us excitedly. Mother sent word she would be joining us for dinner the next day.
The teleportation through the Mages Guild is hardly what I would call easy on the body. And with all that has happened, my mind is is even more far off.
And it was for that reason that I so nearly missed Tel reiterating their previous offer.
To be fair, I was offhandedly complaining, mostly to try and convince them to stay just one day more. Not only for the company, but also so that I could have just one full day to recuperate from the battles and losses before the House began berating me again about my need to take a mistress.
Tel casually said, once again, that they would consider doing me the favor of carrying my child.
I must be clear, I thought that Tel, in the way so many friends and acquaintances do when conversing, was making the offer, much in the way that one talks about how nice it would be to see the lights of Skyrim over a lake or try Wamasu meat, that sort of half wishing talk that people do that does not hold them to their word or mean they intend to follow through in any way.
When I made it clear that it would indeed be nice, ah well, if only, that was when Tel made plain that they were quite serious. I thought they might yet be jesting, it had been so much casual conversation, so little seriousness to anything before that. Again, I said it would be nice, but they should not joke with me or I might try to hold them to it.
Again Tel said they meant it. And I had to make them tell me with certainty that they were, in fact, serious about it.
When they grew annoyed with me over it, I told them that I had not expected them to be serious. That I should be more than happy to accept that offer, but I would not wish for them to agree before knowing the sorts of things that the House might expect. Further, I knew how much the Armigers meant to them, so surely they were not planning to leave their life's work. Though I tried to reassure them that, were they to decide to do so, I would certainly see them well cared for and mentioned the many perks that come from being the one to bear a child for the House line.
They said that they would never give up the Armigers and that they knew that they could never, on their own, dedicate enough time to a child. Still, they had asked Vivec to allow them the ability to bear children and that was something that they desired.
And then they said something that went straight to my heart. They said they had seen how I cared for my children, particularly Sildras, and so, along with my wealth and access to resources, they knew I would be a good father to their child. I believe they made some off-color comment about whatever else I might be, but their faith in my parenting was clear. And that even as little time as they spent with us, for them to see me as a good parent stirred something primal in me. A sort of fatherly pride, perhaps? I wanted to prove it to them.
Still, I feared that knowing how the House was might run them off. I knew what it had done to Nabine. I did not wish for Tel to have any resentment in future, so I was careful to explain what I could.
Their decision to be hands off would certainly mean that Avon would be able to stay on in the same capacity he already retained. And I knew that if I could get my solicitor involved that I could ensure that the fact that I already had Qau-dar's permission for an ongoing sexual relationship with Tel might well persuade the Council.
Tel was firm that they had no desire to join the House and I promised my solicitor to support them in that as well. Having Tel, a hero and chosen of Vivec, and an Armiger to boot, meant that there was no doubt in the faith and dedication to Morrowind. But also, since Tel had no apparent need to have as tight a grip on the child's upbringing, it meant that the child could be a part of the House and follow whatever assigned duties without fear of what anyone other than I had in mind.
Honestly, it is the only solution that prevents everyone involved from total misery.
Or perhaps I speak too soon.
I rushed to get Avon and share the news, for us to discuss if this might even be feasible. Avon was apprehensive, but eventually decided that it was the only way to stave off his family and the obligatory marriage he so dreaded.
We had a great celebration within the home. I had the servant take the night off and we drank and danced.
And in honor of it all, I had Tel select what they wished to have in their bedroom, for they would be expected to maintain one within my home.
I have drawn up the paperwork and Tel and I go today to submit it to the House Council before Tel leaves to return to Vivec. I tried to convince Tel that we should get more furnishings to their liking, but they waved me off as having what they needed.
While they are gone I will have some custom built furniture. Things that allude to Vivec and the rest of the False Tribunal, but are truly for the True Tribunal. I wish for Tel to be happy, but I can only take but so much of Vivec in my home.
Now, to break the news to Mother.

Beyond Skyrim Cyrodiil asked me to design them some Khajiit armors! Specifically a set for bandits, showing off three improvement tiers.
As the full concept is pretty layered, it required much detailing. I combined the variants and layers of the chest and head pieces in a gif. Also, additional material reference. I hope that the final set with its variants allows players some fun fashion options!

This is more a note-to-self post than anything (hence no tags) but current list of fic ideas (or I guess fics in progress too? Only two of them are. I'm still really new to fic-writing) I've got swirling in my brain. - Breath of Kyne. My Elder Scrolls minotaur focused fic. Currently on kinda hiatus because I realized I didn't really like how I'd characterized the deuteragonist (Kesh) and short of just sorta going back through what I've already put out and rewriting chunks of it there isn't really a solution? IDK. Torn on what to do with this'n. (Problem boils down to me making Kesh gra-Bruma too... nice? I guess would be the word? Too progressive in her thinking and accepting and yea. If I'd actually made her a little nastier it would've added to some juicy drama and given her some development to have that actually feels natural.) - Unnamed Locked Tomb fic idea where Harrow was raised in the BoE and Gideon was raised as Crown Prince her whole life. -Kinda- a rewrite of the first book (since it'd be at Canaan house) but also not really because of how much'd be different? Honestly main problem with this is just that I definitely do not have the skill to pull it off/imitate the book's writing style plus OH BOY would it be long. - Unnamed Weird West *thing* that I posted the little chunk I have down. Honestly it is bouncing around my head and I have a lotta character ideas for it and worldbuilding stuff already roaring in my brain-case but also dunno if I wanna commit to another project while I still havn't finished Breath of Kyne? IDK. - A fic-adaptation of the elder scrolls campaign I ran last year. TL;DR on narrative is that it takes place ten years post skyrim in Elsweyr and focuses on Namiira/Lorkhaj/Dro-m'athra stuff. Very juicy. Much drama. Very tasty. Unfortunately also kinda long and I'd need to choose one of the characters as the 'main' one and also dunno how well I could write other people's characters. -SOMETHING elder scrolls that focuses on goblin stuff. No actual ideas beyond a potential main character who has been scurrying around my brain. (Teemakr, AKA Tea Maker, a former dunmeri slave goblin now granted freedom and trying to actually figure out where the heck they fit in the world.)
