#biden stimulus check
Text
The Biden administration announced a series of measures Thursday to track down and punish fraudsters who scammed billions of taxpayer dollars that were supposed to provide relief to Americans during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Biden is pledging $1.6 billion to bolster law enforcement manpower and new programs that will be used to prosecute scammers, prevent fraud, and provide assistance to victims of identity theft.
“We want to not only capture them and get their funds, we want to send a signal to them that you can run, but you cannot hide,” said Gene Sperling, a Biden senior adviser who is overseeing the implementation of the COVID-relief plan.
THE LATEST
• The administration’s plans call for creating 10 Department of Justice “strike forces” that will include U.S. attorneys and other law enforcement officials to investigate COVID-relief fraud and help recover stolen tax dollars. The teams will target criminal syndicates and other major fraudsters. Three strike forces already are in place and have recovered millions of dollars in stolen relief funds, officials said.
• The administration also will propose increasing the statute of limitations to 10 years for fraud involving the pandemic Unemployment Insurance program, which has been hit especially hard by scammers.
• Some $300 million will be distributed to inspectors general at the Small Business Administration, the Department of Labor and the staff of the Pandemic Response Accountability Committee, a government watchdog over pandemic spending. The money would be used to hire investigators and make sure they have the resources needed to pursue specialized cases of pandemic fraud.
• In his proposed budget to be released next week, Biden will offer a package of legislative reforms to prevent, detect and recover payments made improperly through the Unemployment Insurance program.
• Federal grants would be made to states to help modernize their information technology systems to enable them to respond more quickly to fraud, decrease erroneous payments and provide more efficient claims processing.
• New initiatives also would be put in place to identify victims of identity theft, including an early warning system to stop potentially fraudulent transactions before they occur and a one-stop shop to report identity crimes.
WHY IT MATTERS
The federal government distributed more than $5 trillion in pandemic relief under programs approved by Biden and former President Donald Trump. The money was distributed quickly, leading to an increase in fraud and other improper payments, such as those that shouldn’t have been made or were made in the wrong amount.
The Government Accountability Office reported last month that the extent of fraud in COVID-relief programs is not yet known but that the Unemployment Insurance program alone was believed to have made more than $60 billion in fraudulent payments.
From March 2020 to last January, at least 1,044 people pleaded guilty or were convicted of defrauding COVID relief programs, the GAO report said. Federal charges were pending against another 609 individuals or entities for attempting to defraud COVID-relief programs.
Also, the federal government gave $5.4 billion in COVID aid to small businesses with “questionable” Social Security numbers, the Pandemic Response Accountability Committee reported in January. The watchdog identified nearly 70,000 questionable Social Security numbers used to obtain pandemic aid from two programs run by the Small Business Administration.
WHAT'S NEXT?
The Republican-led House Oversight and Accountability Committee has opened an investigation into fraud in COVID-relief programs. The committee held its first hearing on the subject last month.
Sperling, however, said the administration’s anti-fraud package isn’t a direct response to the GOP investigations. Most of the proposals were being prepared before last November’s election, he said.

Second Mortgages - What Are They and Can They Help?
Second Mortgages – What Are They and Can They Help?
It is a loan taken out against your home on which there is already a dominant mortgage. The dwelling equity is used as collateral for the 2nd loan. The 2nd mortgage has less anteriority in comparison to the first on the same home. So, if you default, you want to complete your first loan prior to paying back the noticeable difference on the 2nd loan. When do you select a secondary mortgage? There…

truly hoping that everyone witnessing what’s going on and more so specifically what our president is doing right now and taking that into accountability when election time rolls around. Calling for that senile bastard to be held liable not only for the full funding and support of genocide/ethnic cleansing but the countless of other horrible deeds he’s committed since being in office is not being “pro trump” or republican. People are fucking tired and this inhumane treatment of the Palestinian people was more or less the breaking point. We watched how he and his entire campaign was centered around nothing more than engaging in a pissing contest with the blood orange. How every promise of monthly stimulus checks, erased student loans, wage raises, lower cost of living, etc ALL went down the drain the second he got sworn in. How our tax dollars were used to fund literal slaughter but people are sleeping in parking lots because they can’t afford housing. Healthcare is non existent, we can’t even afford to pay attention with minimum wage and we’re barely even able to fill our tanks or grocery baskets with our entire paychecks being thrown at it. As people keep saying, the propaganda is no longer working. Is*eal, Biden and every other sick entity in support of harming these people are being called out abs rightfully so. No one is subscribing to their bullshit ideologies anymore. No one is believing this rallying around the flag, blind patriotism, etc. call it desensitization or overexposure but we have real time access to information that refutes any of these influencer or corporate advertising. Continue to be tired, continue to be angry and continue to question everything because silence equals complicity and that’s exactly what they want.

Just curious. How bad has Biden been at controlling COVID-19 in your view?
First: I already responded to a similar question you left on this post.
Second: Biden has been atrocious for COVID-19 safety and management. COVID-19 is still killing people, and our president has done a horribly insufficient job in mitigating that. "Better than the Republicans" is not the same thing as "good" or "effective." Biden's abysmal reaction to COVID-19 is part of why I'm so thrilled that the Uncommitted campaign for the Democratic primary has achieved some success. That particular campaign is focused on ceasefire in Palestine, but the People's CDC explained in a statement how Palestine is also very much a public health issue. We need to scare the bastard and actually do some of that "pushing him left" that people claimed they'd do after getting him elected. Though it seems to me like a lot of people just settled for, "okay, we got rid of Trump, we don't have to worry anymore."
Third: While I'm at it, people have to do more than vote. You have got to get involved. You have got to do more than participate in the presidential election once every four years. Join a union (may I recommend the IWW?), follow the guidance of The People's CDC, volunteer for your local Food Not Bombs, get involved in a tenants union like the Autonomous Tenants Union Network, read Riot Medicine, get trained in first aid and get involved in a street medic group, read up on your local politics and get involved on the small-scale, do something in addition to voting in the presidential election. Even if you're limited in how much you can personally participate, find the people who are talking about these issues and signal boost them, and share the information with others who may be more able to participate more. If you can tell people to go vote in the presidential election, you can also tell them to go do other things, too.
Now, with all of that out of the way, here are some links related to Biden's abysmal COVID-19 response:
During his 2020 campaign, Biden promised immediate $2K stimulus checks. Instead, he delivered $1,400. Sources: [x] [x] [x] [x] [x]

Reuters: "COVID vaccine manufacturers set list price between $120-$130 per dose"
Joseph Choi for The Hill: "Free COVID-19 test program to be suspended for now"

Paul Thornton for the Los Angeles Times: "Covid Still Rages, and the Biden Administration Isn't Helping."
Eric J. Topol for the Los Angeles Times: "The U.S. is facing the biggest COVID wave since Omicron. Why are we still playing make-believe?"
We should have free, universal testing. We should have free, universal vaccination. We should have free, universal treatment. We should have financial assistance for those of us who can't work outside the home. We should have mandated work-from-home for any job that can be done remotely. We should be emptying prisons and paying attention to the way disease and abuse proliferate inside their walls. We should have COVID-19 safety PSAs and government support for universal masking. We should have free distribution of N95s. We should have mandated masking in medical settings and public spaces. We should have a higher minimum wage. We should have healthcare reforms. We should have strong worker protections. We should have improved infrastructure. We should have a president who gives a single flying fuck about how many of us are dying.
And we have none of it.
But we sure seem to have money to keep dropping bombs, arming cops, terrorizing the vulnerable, and imprisoning innocent people to use for slave labor.

ok you dont have to respond but i figured youd understand my frustration but i feel like everytime i get on tiktok some white 20 uear old is telling me not to vote for biden and like ok ik hes not great but like the stuff trump has been saying hell do is also horrific!!! and theyll say stuff like 'well im not saying vote for trump 🙄 you dont know how voting works' like obviously you dont either!!! not voting or voting 3rd party is basically useless!!!
and like idk i have more thoughts but i dont want to rant forever
They're literally Republicans or Libertarians who want everything for themselves but not for anyone else. ESPECIALLY when they're white.
Because Biden has done some shit yeah but he's also done one he'll of a good job trying to undo SO MUCH of the bad that trump and the other Republicans put into place.
"He didn't forgive student debt!!"
He forgave shitloads of debt and the Republicans PREVENTED HIM from doing more at every turn!
"He's an old white man!"
Who gives a fuck when he's doing more good than harm?
"He's fucking it up with Palestine!"
Yeah he is, call him out for it, but also if Trump was in office he would be doing SO MUCH FUCKING WORSE.
Here's some more good stuff he's done! In case you want a list.
Executive order protecting reproductive rights
Historic climate policies (that Republicans forced him to make less progressive, but are still very progressive)
Historic criminal justice reform
Massive boom in employment regardless of inflation (which, by the way, is not controlled by the president and is controlled by the corporations which are not regulated because Raegan, a republican, deregulated them so as to not have to pay proper employee wages, so corporations could get away with harmful practices, and so people did not have protected unions, which is what benefits white Republican CEOs over everyone else)
Literally just handed people money (stimulus checks) for free during Covid, because Trump and his repu lican thug cohorts handled the pandemic so fucking badly.
And if anyone tries to come at this post and call me out for using the term thugs, you don't see fucking democrats storming the capital for their wannabe dictator they worship like a goddamned cult.

got any voting stories hp
I usually just vote for one of the communist or socialist or satanist or lesbian candidates. I don't live in a battleground state so my vote means nothing as far the electoral college. I might've voted for Bush cuz he sent me a stimulus check I spent on cocaine but I can't remember if I was joking or not. I remember I made a video on Tumblr once where I masturbated while filling out my ballot and chose candidates for random reasons I.e. "his name is dick" " her name sounds like an idiot". I'm not always a goof. I always vote in every special and off year election. I always vote for more taxes and to try and keep those grifters and jesus freaks out of local govt/schools. I might vote for Biden this year after I saw a picture of his brothers Wang. They should put THAT on a campaign poster

"Some of the best domestic policy in decades." Give me a fucking break.
Trump set a really, really low fucking bar and Biden couldn't even manage to shuffle over it.
$150 in annual prospective savings because they might make your bank gouge you a little less. What, are we supposed to jump for fucking joy?
A single CARES act check to a family of four was worth more than 20 times that.
Fuck, $150 for four years and you'd get what Biden still owes is from the stimulus check he promised us almost four years ago now.
Die in pain you worthless old man.

Israel Battles Evildoers Who Got Rich for Some Reason
Hamas doesn’t switch to a rainbow avatar for June.  I’m trying to get liberals to hate them.  These are tough times for the anti-Semitic.  You don’t have to feel bad for the worst sort of haters.  Save concern for an assaulted nation that is demonized for existing.
Baseless vitriol has escalated to monstrous action.  Slaughtering people going about their lives constitutes the clearest violation of life itself as possible in case anyone’s unclear.  One party seems disturbingly so.  The sole country in the Middle East without oil functions the best, which enrages those whose faith revolves around jealousy.
One side created civilization out of nothing. The other tries to turn civilization into nothing.  All-time lies accusing Jews of doing awful things while actual awful things are done to them is one of humanity’s most appalling regular occurrences.  The latest war could only seem worse upon realizing it’s nothing new.
Half of the sides are fiendish.  Invading terrorists may just be the bad guys.  Forget gruesome nonsense about Israel stealing land nobody wanted and that they just might have resided upon a few thousand years ago: acting like both attacker and target are perpetrators is the sophisticated way to lie.  You just know Israel’s foes were asking by noon on September 11, 2001 why they hate us.
“Cycle of violence” is the dark magic phrase to spot.  Anti-Semites realize how unpopular they are right now, so they conceal their bigotry by condemning an alleged cycle instead of the terrorists who began it.  A mugger attacks victim.  Said victim defends against threat to life, property, and liberty.  Liberals shake their heads at the actions of both.  The phonily high-minded would’ve lamented the cycle of violence on D-Day.
Israel’s antagonists pair pretend outrage with actual harm.  As usual, Democrats spurred agony by trying to help.  That’s sadly the best-case scenario.  You might be more generous than deserved and presume they’re not actively encouraging mayhem.  The best case is that doing such would require planning ahead.
Stimulus checks for Hamas got their sole industry humming.  A foreign policy that was already discredited has added granting an allowance to barbarians as a bullet/low point.
It turns out there are worse bribes than giving liberals useless degrees at taxpayer expense.  You’ll be shocked to learn those who shriek about paying back money they borrowed to major in political science so they can afford to keep patronizing artisan baristas don’t grasp how budgeting works.
Blaming the police for crime has devastated countless innocent humans.  The principle has gone international.  The baffling view that cops were the ones causing problems enabled subway-shovers. Its daft holders covered Iran’s discretionary rocket budget.
The White House did their part to wreck society and inhabitants by bailing out America’s sworn enemy.  That’s America’s White House, for the record.  The typical excuse is their usual one, namely that they had no idea their ideas would unleash perniciousness.  Ruining budgets for Americans is accompanied by tossing cash at lunatic mullahs.
Democrats believed Saddam Hussein was building a chocolate chip factory, too.  The only thing keeping Iran from prompting more devastation is ineptness.  Joe Biden is here to help them.  Claims that Iran’s trust fund won’t be spent irresponsibly are based in a Post-it stuck on the cash sacks noting it’s for humanitarian aid, which would be laughable if not for the blood splattered on Israeli streets.  Their pet terrorists attacked Israel less than a month after funds suddenly became free. This presidency strongly discourages noticing consequences.
Earth’s most nefarious terror state used different bills to fund terror, so tell your conscience to pipe down.  Take from this pile, not that one.  A notion that’s either disingenuous or ignorant sums up liberal thinking.  The mob budgets in the same way, with the difference being they can operate businesses.
Iran’s centrifuges spin in celebration.  The usual mendacious scumbags cherish the subsidy, although they won’t send a thank you card.  Democrats have gone out of their way to enable shoplifters, violent agents of urban chaos, and border-hoppers, so the terrible assault against Israel is no more surprising than who facilitated it.
Leave it to liberals to not grasp how loosening up dollars permits spending on other things.  Why would anyone stick to some lame budget?  Iran could’ve just printed more money.
An unwillingness to modify a budget because it would mean less fun is the signature economic principle from the adult children staffing this White House.  You might have to choose grilled cheese instead of Chuck E. Cheese if funds are tight unless you live near the Tehran location.  Under Biden, bread is a luxury, but only in his home country.
Iran’s hobby is funding terrorism.  Their free-time pursuit was funded by Biden putting them on the honor system.  Aiding maliciousness while hassling the decent is regrettably natural from an administration through its consistent opposition to reality.
Biden’s pals are being uncool.  His fervent dedication to attempting peace by befriending the sinister hasn’t quite convinced them to behave.  He’s still lunching alone in the cafeteria.
Inflation making money worth less finally helps, as medieval intruders couldn’t buy as many implements to inflict atrocities.  Liberating funds on September 11 for a real cartoonish villain was not just symbolically disgusting.
Heinous Hamas will find a new homeland in the sea.  The prototypical human demons are as evil as they are stupid.  An excuse for Israel to remove a roving gang of serial killers will be executed with no help from a feckless president that allows mayhem like a substitute teacher.
Hamas failed to anticipate Israel’s righteously swift response for the same shortsighted reason lottery winners who don’t plan ahead spend until they’re broke.  They just bought rockets with the Biden cash infusion instead of McMansions.
Opening wallets so terror benefactors can grab walking-around money turns out to not be a super strategy for finances and pace.  A president who wants to disarm law-abiding Americans coordinated Venmoing the Hamas rocket fund.  Add “fungible” to the ceaseless list of words liberals don’t understand.
