His the Series/His the Movie. Nagisa and Shun met as teenagers (17 I think) when Shun went to visit his father during a school break. Nagisa was just a cool, laid back surfer boy and Shun was just a shy kid trying to make friends. They grew closer over the short time bonding over surfing and books and had a sweet summer romance that lasted into uni before Nagisa broke up with Shun. A decade later Nagisa shows up on Shun's doorstep (a doorstep you'd have to search hard for because he was living in the woods somewhere lol) with a sweet little 6 yr old daughter and freshly divorced. Of course they were both still in love with each other and of course they had their second chance at romance.

Forced Proximity

Be Loved in House: I Do. Forced Proximity but doubled. Shi Lei's love-hating-rule-setting-ass boss, Jin Yu Zhen, moves into Shi Lei's flat after buying the metal works company he works for and acquiring his condo on the side. No literally, he kicked out Shi Lei's roommate and took his room. So not only is he forced to be his roomie, but then his Mama comes to visit so now Shi Lei is forced to share a room with Yu Zhen. And lemme tell ya, she stays a long ass time! We did hella snuggles and lots of rule-breaking.

I am suuuuper bored at work so I thought I’d make a list of my top 10 BL couples*

In no particular order:

1. InKorn - Until We Meet Again. My precious babies deserved better.

2. Tian/Phupha - A Tale of A Thousand Stars. Just this whole show was phenomenal. Might need to do a rewatch soon.

3. Gun/Bar - En of Love Tossara. Probably the only En of Love I actually finished. Bless these communication kings.

4. Nozue/Togawa - Old Fashion Cupcake. I would like to thank these two for so many things, least of which is that they made me realize I actually do love age gaps. But this show is the most fantastically queer and beautiful little story and really just watch it.

5. VegasPete - KinnPorsche. Do I need to explain this one?

6. Mark/Ou Wen - Love is Science? They are a BL side couple but they so good. I will forever be holding my breath for a spin-off show with them and their little found family.

7. LeoFiat - Don’t Say No. You can pry my love of them from my cold, dead hands.

8. YuZhen/ Shi Lei - Be Loved in House: I Do. Who allowed these two to do that? It took them awhile to get there but once they did? Beautiful.

9. WitWin - Hidden Love. I don’t understand how these two were in this show. Were they worth watching the rest of the show? Unclear. I think they are but they rest of the show literally made me cry because it was so stupid…and I don’t cry. But WitWin probably had one of the best stories in any BL and yes they will make you cry.

10. Toh/Nuea and SkyJao - Secret Crush On You. I couldn’t pick just one because I love these couples for the same reasons. The love and communication these boys share with each other and even with their friends is so refreshing to see. Sure, you might need to be ready to embrace the cringe, but somehow they have some of the healthiest relationships I’ve seen in a BL

be loved in house: i do — the plot is not so much ridiculous as... flimsy? that said i did love the show and its increasingly gratuitous use of the only one bed trope

20. drama you thought you’d never watch but did (and liked it?)

you're my sky — i remember thinking, a sports bl? thanks but no thanks i already watched too many sports anime for their homoerotic subtext when i was younger. and then i was on sick leave for a while with nothing else to watch and let me tell you, you're my sky blew me away. to this day i'm still frustrated that it got slept on, it's SO GOOD. easily one of my top 10 (if not top 5) bl.

I'm not sure if I would've got this if it weren't for you mentioning the boss thing, as I wouldn't say the fact that they're jewellers/metalwork(?) is integral to the plot, but hey ho! [I hope this is right I literally can't think of anything else rn]

Great series, I actually really enjoyed it, and no its not in the HIStory genre of BLs but a whole NEW BL house (although as far as I'm aware, BLIH haven't made any other shows YET).

I'll do a separate post for this at some point bc I probably have more to say, but its a proper classic 'NO relationships ATALL NOoOOOOOO!!!1!' and then they experience feelings...

Its silly and corny (what did you expect) but lovely and definitely worth the watch, and Aaron Lai is so great n I've seen him in other shows so was v fun to see him in something else, his chemistry w Hank Wang was unmatched.

Top 8 characters that brought you joy and the one character the you hated the most (but weren't supposed to)

I love so many characters that have brought me so much joy. Hmmmmm. Doing this from memory so who knows what my brain will come up with.

Daisy - SCOY. I just love her.

2. Hae Bom - Cherry Blossoms After Winter. Precious darling angel baby.

3. Ai/Nhai - Ai Long Nhai. I couldn't choose just one. They are a package deal. I love them. I love their communication. I love that there was no plot and it was just those two loving each other.

4. Shi Lei - Be Loved in House: I Do. I love characters that discover their bisexuality.

5. Da On - Light on Me. He might be my favorite character of all time. I love him dearly. I want nothing but the best for him. I want to give him a thousand hugs and punch his parents.

6. Aoki - Kieta Hatsukoi. Did I mention loving characters discovering they're bi? Bonus points if they're also a disaster.

7. LeoFiat - Don't Say No. Much like Ai and Nhai they cannot be separated. But I love them both dearly. I'm ready to throw hands with everyone who slut shamed Fiat.

8. Wei Wuxian - The Untamed. I mean. Who doesn't love him?
