Is everything okay? Did something happen?

I'm ok! I forgot there's probably some people here who don't come from my main, that's my bad ^^; here's my post about the person in question and here's what they did to my friend @ferahntics

Gonna try and wrap this in a nutshell, but basically there's a user in the Kirby community who goes around asking for Kirby characters/OCs sleeping (seems like a fetish, which is fine but they don't disclose it as such and send it to sfw artists) and got real nasty at Ferah when she didn't make them the art. They sent her death threats as well as other horrible threats all because she wouldn't do their request (while her requests were closed, by the way).

Since then, they have made flimsy apologies, made hate accounts to harass people with and was spamming my reblogs for a while trying to get me and Ferah to forgive them. And now they're trying to fly under the radar, sending anons with the same requests as if it never happened and stealing art from artists that had no idea this person was so foul.

Anyways, I got a couple anons on this blog that appear to be from them given the timing and subject matter of a character sleeping. So I'm turning off anon asks for the time being to hopefully get them to go away/reveal the blogs they're using so I can call them out and block them. This person has no place in our community and I will continue to block them until they finally leave me and everyone else alone.

One of my least favourite Tsumugi misconceptions is that he's useless at being an idol. He's very good actually! It's pointed out multiple times in various stories by characters who are considered the top tier idols that Tsumugi is very good at his job, he's just also awkward and a bit clumsy off stage.

yea ! alot of misconceptions tend to stem from people getting a taste of the character in a certain context and then assume theyd be the same in different contexts when thats rarely the case. like just look at tsumugis romancing cruise performance That shit changed me forever

i do understand why this happens though, or why small misconceptions are rather frequent and inadvertently lead to mischaracterizations at times. often times we just take a surface level view at things and, naturally, observe what it is we see and compare it to things we already know. like i said in my last post tsumugi is bashful, not shy, but if people only see his more awkward demeanor around certain people theyre obviously going to assume thats the characteristic he has because thats what most of us are familiar with

i dont want people to feel insecure in their portrayals though !! q__q and youre free to be as self-indulgent as you want when u create ur little crafts as im sure many of us are using these characters as a means of our own self-expression. god knows i do it! but is it also not just as fun to truly dig into the character and to try figuring them out from an unbiased perspective ? again its why i dont want to put them into boxes!!! theres so much to them and by only focusing on one or two of their characteristics you are doing them a disservice!! youre free to exclusively PORTRAY your favorite aspects ofc, create for you and not for others! but i just want their complexities to be acknowledged and recognized 💔💔 though thats just one of my selfish little desires

Our genuine advice to anyone who Makes Things is to stop putting yourself down. That's it - just don't put yourself down. We know it can seem hard, but trust us, presentation is important - you've gotta keep from talking your stuff down, you've gotta keep from being rude to yourself, you've gotta keep from being rude to your own work!

Even jokey self-deprication seeps into your brain after a while - we should know! We're still breaking the damn patterns! If you talk down about your work, then eventually you start believing it - you genuinely think your work sucks, because you say it, and your brain echoes that, and that's not a fun space to be in!

Plus, if you're captioning your works like that, it'll seep into your viewer's brain, too. No matter how unsure you are about your work, you still have to treat it like it's good. If you're rock-solid certain it sucks, then just don't caption it - let it speak for itself! The human brain is a horrid little pot of gravy that learns and sticks to patterns, and you have to keep it from digging itself into a rut.

You're the hottest person in the room. Everything you make fucks. You're the best author and the best artist and the best guy who makes things, and you have to say that about yourself or the self-doubt will creep in to all the little cracks and try to fuck you up worse. It might feel fake! It will feel fake at first! It will get better with every repetition. You will get better with every repetition. You just have to get out there and start hyping yourself up.

You are your own biggest fan. Treat yourself like an artist you like, and eventually you'll be an artist you like.

#we speak #listen like half of our life advice boils down to just #you need to start being your own biggest fan bc if you dont hype up everything you do then you cant expect anyone else to do it for you #the energy you put out echoes! you reap what you sow and you have GOT to be more self absorbed bc no one else is gonna do it for u #we are the sexiest person in the room at all times and every time we say it it becomes more true #and unfortunately it is impossible to be sexier than us but you can be AS sexy as us by acting like you and everything you makes amazing #anyways a lot of people have been v self depricating lately so we are grabbing them and telling them to be more confident #literally does not matter if its fake or not. u can start committing confidence fraud now and it makes u cool as hell #having passion in smth will always make u a more likeable person than if u talk things down #being confident about literally everything u do is the first priority being spiteful and petty comes later #if people on tumblr dot com find you annoying that is their problem and they can block u if they dont wanna see it

#mud rambles #quick lil backstory for why. I follow him but he no longer follows me so I can have my privacy bc his partners are people ive cut off #he and i have how we interact figured out explicitly he's still my friend i care for him deeply what happened between his partners and i #didnt have anything to do with him. i let him know what happened. theyre not horrible ppl just bad friends to me #anyway #SO fucking ironic to see that on my dash from them specifically because his fucking girlfriend (my ex friend who was my roommate) would #CONSTANTLY compare me to her abusive father for! no goddamn reason! #it wasn't necessarily 1 to 1 comparison but she would bring him up OUT OF NOWHERE for example one time i was literally just listening to #metallica (fuck metallica but they were MY dad's fav band so i listen to them bc of nostalgia) and she just! was like #'you listen to dad bands. my dad likes metallica' o...kay??? #and that wasnt the worst one. she would just. unprompted compare me to her dad. usually like that over things i liked but she once like. #vagued me to my face about how ~crazy and paranoid~ her dad is #NOT EVEN ONCE she brought up how paranoid he was A LOT and like. at the time i was trying to be a little more open abt my paranoia w her an #my ex best friend (her other partner) so like. idk. whether it was a vague at me or not i did not appreciate it #even MY partner brought up multiple times how it was fucking weird and she was lowkey comparing me to her fucking dad #KEEP IN MIND BTW I PERSONALLY moved her out of her home state and away from her dad to room with me and my partner #i dont remember a lot of the examples bc i want to block that shit out but. what the fuck woman #anyway i needed to talk abt this but like i said i dont wanna be vagueing my friends gf in the tags of a post i reblogged from him lmao #i can talk abt it on my own blog not there #and mandatory disclaimer please do not try to figure out who the people ive cut off are and also please leave them and their bf alone #like i said he's still my friend and i care about him #i just feel the need to say that bc. i trust the people who follow me to not go and do that but. just genuinely need to clear the air #i cut them off for a reason. i dont want any kind of contact with them even indirectly. and i dont want people harassing my friend #i specifically went out of my way when that shit went down to make sure he and i were still cool so dont fuck this up for me thanx!
