But also I love this so much cause like obviously the band and the management heard all the hateful ‘fans’ back when they had to cancel Marlay Park because Alex dared to get laryngitis and this; giving them not only one but 3/4 shows with Miles and an access code is so hilarious to me cause like yeah you very fuckin nasty and disgusting but here ya go ya lil shits now what do you say (pretty please) like this makes all those haters look sooo incredibly dumb and childish (like no patience at all obviously they need time to schedule and arrange all the venues and what not, like have some faith in them just lean back and trust) anyways long story short love this move

After the closure of the Mid Sodor Railway and being sold to the Peel Godred Aluminum Works, Falcon and Stuart were the closest thing each other had to any sort of home.

Stuart tried to stay cheerful enough for the both of them, but it was much easier said than done.

#before the official 'decline' of the msr (selling half of the engines and closing part of the line)#falcon and stuart considered themselves to be friends #and they eventually came to see each other as being like brothers as they grew up together under duke's teaching #after their other friends were sold off they (along with duke) became much more important parts of each other's lives #but it was after they were sold to the aluminum works when they became incredibly close and amost inseparable #it was not a very loving environment and so through the unfortunate circumstance they quickly became each other’s 'home'#they remained as such through their transfer to the skarloey railway and thus their name changes #although sir handel had come out worse from the aluminum works and was not a very cooperative engine #and sir handel became rather jealous and upset with how quickly peter sam befriended rusty #but he got over it once he also got on rusty's good side (after a bad first impression) and all three got along from then on #with both sir handel and peter sam eventually adopting the skarloey railway as their new home #they're not as dependent on each other as they once were which is refreshing and good for both of them #but they are still much closer and more comfortable with each other than they were before the msr's closure #and when duke was rescued and restored he was pleasantly surprised to see how close his boys had become #and duke was welcomed into the railway's family with open arms-- er-- buffers #ttte peter sam #ttte sir handel #ttte headcanon #(especially in the tags I think)#my doodles #my post

#found out last night in a family video chat that one of my younger cousins is planning on going into the police academy in florida #and i've been sick about it all day #apparently my uncle who is a retired nypd sergeant doesn't even want him to do it #but my cousin thinks its the only straightforward path to stability?#i remember talking to my aunt a while back when i was getting my adhd diagnosis and she mentioned that she thought my cousin fit the profil #and had been struggling a lot with school and just motivation #he decided not to go to college bc he just felt like he couldn't go through it which is fine but now i think he's struggling from that #bc apparently he was doing volunteer work with kids and loved it and wanted to look into becoming a preschool or kindergarten teacher #but the amount of schooling was too daunting for him both process and costwise #and they're gagging for cops down there and it's 20yrs and a guaranteed pension after that #and i'm just sick to my stomach about it bc this is a kid who wants to be a ***preschool teacher*** he's such a sweet kid #he's really sensitive and gentle and i'm just sick over the fact that he feels like the constructive field of becoming an educator #is inaccessible to him on all levels -- and the pigs are there with open arms #just thinking of him being broken by the police academy into that mold is sickening #*especially* in florida where considering the laws he's gonna be having to enforce.....#like kid you're gonna have to be bashing in the heads of queer protestors. antifascist protestors. climate activists. striking laborers.#what kind of brutality are they gonna do to make him agree to that #beyond the brutality of inaccessibility that's brought him to this point so far???#my sisters and i decided we're gonna talk to him about it -- i'm gonna def hear what he's thinking when i'm home #i'm just...like i said i'm just sick about it

feeling a lot more stable about everything, i decided to forego keeping a bandaid on because my fucking skin cannot take the adhesives for that long omg itches so bad around them

I have a plan in place to replace the bandaids should i require not needing to see my elbow again about it, but i also wanted to see for myself how bad it was.

BOY HOWDY do I bruise purty. That shit is dark where it's not already going greenyellow. looks like I put a sharpie in a chokehold and barely managed to wrangle it into submission like damn.

#i am probably going to have us put on a replacement bandage over the bruising because it's honestly yeah a little distressing to see #but i no longer feel like it's going to explode open and spurt blood everywhere if i'm not careful and that's important #this would be easier if we were like one solid continuous consciousness but unfortunately we're not #and for anyone who wasn't there during the cause of the Visible Injury having a visible injury suddenly be a lot worse #than what you were anticipating based on what the last person who looked at it remembers (let alone was just expecting in general)#(because lets face it i've not bruised this badly after a poke before. i think the closest was the IV for sedation before i got my #wisdom teeth taken out) and if you're maybe significantly younger than most of the rest of the soup in the bowl at the time it can y'know #freak a guy out a little which is what happened yesterday/last night #i'm glad i'm not navigating this without the context of being several opossums in a trenchcoat because that would be i think even more #distressing than it already has been. it keeps embarrassment for uncharacteristic freakouts to a minimum at least #gonna try and let it breathe for a bit and just kind of chill out with the elbow exposed a little to hopefully help #both with like acclimation to the sight and also maybe the cool air will help it feel better.#but also like i just cannot do that much bandage adhesive on my skin for that long it is so itchy around where i was wearing them augh #doesn't help my upper arm where my vaccines went look like i got bit by the worlds largest skeeter like damn #miecz posting #garrett posting
