“I’ve Tried Every Brow Product Out There—This One Is the Best”

“I wasn’t born with naturally thick brows, so achieving them has become my obsession throughout my 20s. I’ve tried pretty much everything to turn them into feathery perfection, from monthly brow tinting appointments to daily keratin-based conditioner treatments. I have also tried almost every brow product available on the market, perusing both drugstores and luxury stores, from gels and pencils in every shade from multiple brands to brow powders that you apply with a brush. And, of course, I’ve used a few at once, experimenting with combinations of the aforementioned products.

But no matter how much time I spent dedicated to my brows during my morning routine, I was never satisfied by the result. Oftentimes one brow looked more filled-in than the other, leaving me in an asymmetrical mess, while other times mismatched swipes of tinted gel would leave my skin stained, my brows looking like they didn’t belong together. My worst fear, however, was that I’d leave my house looking totally unnatural. I also found that no matter how much time I spent tending to my brows, they always needed touch-ups throughout the day. I took to bringing a brow pencil or gel with me everywhere, thankful that the little tools were small enough to fit inside even my miniature bags. When the pandemic hit and I wasn’t leaving my house, the one thing that remained the same was my eyebrow routine.

Earlier this summer, my brother’s girlfriend gave me a gift inside a teeny-tiny paper box. Inside it was an equally teeny-tiny tin, labeled “brow styling soap,” and a brush to go along with it. I actually didn’t open it for a few weeks, skeptical that it would be any better than the myriad products I had already tried. When she asked me if I had used it yet, I was embarrassed to tell her no, so I decided to get into it, and was surprised to find it worked like magic.

After trying loads of products, this has finally transformed my brows into the fluffy, bushy yet shaped, and full-looking feathered brows I had dreamed of, with just a few quick flicks of the grooming soap. My brows don’t get too wet, too waxy, too powdery, or too product-laden. It’s super easy to use, takes little to no time, and you can’t really “mess up.” And the best part? My brows stay in place all day. This will be the first and only brow product I plan on buying again once I run out. Perhaps the secret to great brows isn’t genetics or steady hands, but a little tiny tin of styling soap.”
